ok so um this chapter has the date and proposal
i'm so freaking excited
It had been a week. Jay had never been more nervous. Evie had invited Carlos over to fit him for some new clothes anyways, so Jay had the house to himself until he left for the restaurant they were going to. He finally finished the bun he put in his hair and quickly grabbed his keys to leave. As he sat in the car, Jay made a checklist in his head. He had the box. He had the Ring Pop. He was ready to roll.
Carlos's eyes glanced around nervously as Evie's carriage stopped in front of Gusteau's. It wasn't too crowded, which was a first for a Saturday night. His eyes meet Jay's, who is waiting by the door. "Hey Jay! Thanks for the ride Evie." "No problem, have fun." She knew. Carlos didn't. The young waiter brings them to a table, brings them drinks, appetizers and their famous Ratatouille. When it came time for dessert, the waiter didn't come back for some time. Carlos taps his nails against the table anxiously. "What do you think is taking them so lon-" A group of 6 waiters and waitresses pile out towards their table. The lights dim slightly, and everyone else turns towards their table. They set a small platter down on the table, with nothing on it but a small box. A ring box. Carlos lets out a sharp gasp. "Pup..." Jay stands up, and moves to the side of the table Carlos had been sitting. He kneels down on one knee. "I love you more then anything, and I always want to be here for you..." Carlos can feel the tears rushing down his face, which normally would have embarrassed him, but now was different. "I couldn't afford a real ring, but I promise one day I'll let you pick out any ring you want, because I want to be able to give you everything." Jay picks up the box, opens it. Inside lies the Ring Pop Jay had purchased. "This ring may be temporary, but can our love be forever?" Carlos lets out a sob. "Jay, I love you. Yes! Yes!" The whole restaurant starts clapping. After kissing, Carlos pulls away. "Can I eat the ring?" Jay lets out a loud chuckle. "Maybe more temporary then I thought."
next chapter is them wedding planning, crying and loving each other
