Wedding Planning. Ben had been kind enough to cover the cost, knowing the two didn't have the type of money he did. In return, Jay and Carlos made him one of the best men. Even though the cost was dealt with, Carlos and Jay felt crazy running around, trying cakes, looking at colors. Knowing more of this was most of the day to come, Carlos groaned. He loved Jay, and he was going to love the wedding, but he sure didn't love the prep. That had been Jane's job in high school, but now they were out of school, period. Carlos cringed at the thought of his ex, whom he had dated before he came out. "Okay, so we need Evie and Mal in front, maybe Evie wants to be with Uma? And we have to pick up the suits today. And you still need to pick out your best person." Jay erupted with thoughts the moment he stepped into the kitchen. "I dunno. Evie's gonna cry too loud, so Mal." Jay nodded, and scribbled something down onto a Post-It note. "Do you know where the keys are? Ugh, that means we have an open spot next to Evie and Uma. Ooh, but do you think the pregnancy thing will be helpful with Mal? What if she like, throws up while we kiss? Maybe Evie after all, oh but Uma and Mal together is weird..." Jay picks up the keys that had been lying right in front of him. "I'm going to pick up some stuff, I love you." The former thief kissed his fiancé and zoomed out the door. "Can you work on table accessories?" A yell suddenly erupts as the door slams. With the coffee maker grinding in the back, Carlos flopped down in front of the sheets of paper. The options were a rose for each guest, a small lamp with vines around it for the middle of the table, or handkerchiefs for each guest. The lamp looked cool, but it didn't quite go with the rest of the wedding theme- elegant. The rose seemed elegant, but there were thorns, and there were some kids attending. That doesn't make a great match. The handkerchiefs were just plain tacky. Carlos groaned with exhaustion. He just wanted to go back to bed, and not come back until wedding planning was over. The wedding was in a month. Could he sleep for an entire month?
