Making a Special Delivery

Set in the days of robots being sent as gifts and NOT of animatronic pizzerias gone wrong. This is the “research journal”of one Octavia: a semi-professional coder who loves all things tech. Her mission? To rewire and customize a spare animatronic for a customer. Her potential problem? One of the tools she’s using might do its task a little too well...

6. Day 6 - Slow “News” Day

Day 6, March 11

Well, things were surprisingly uneventful today. I mean, I did go to the bookstore and get H-B a journal to write in. Other than that, nothing really has happened.

I even told H-B that he could head up to the main floor and hang out, but he politely said "no, I'd like to stay in the basement". Maybe he's still recovering from the Shadow Bunny incident yesterday... Hey, what do I know? I have no clue about how his AI works when it comes to the "remnant" side of it. I would chalk it up to nightmares again, but the diagnostics from last night saId he's fine. Maybe he's just shy and I'm digging into deep into my own rabbit hole.

Anyway, I'm still on the fence with the whole proper-naming thing. I know I was planning on changing it today, but... I still have no idea what to call him. Do I go with a normal name like "William"? Do I just keep the "name after a theme" schtick and leave it there? It's starting to feel like this is something I need to talk to a few friends about before making a decision. I know, I'm overthinking, but you gotta remember this guy is not a normal Spring-Trash. He's custom-made. I just want to give a custom name for a custom bot, y'know? Just like the Delivery company does with their alternate versions and whatever.

On an entirely different subject, these journal entries should be dropping daily updates after tomorrow. Come March 13, I'm planning on only giving out info whenever H-B improves big-time or something interesting comes up. There has been rumors flying about a huge mall with animatronics like the old pizzeria crew somewhere, so maybe I'll look into that more. Even crazier is that a weird figure in a white bunny suit keeps showing up nearby. I dunno what's the problem, but someone needs to check that out. Don't want to repeat the criminal stupidity of William, after ll...

All right, it's getting late and I have to sleep. I'll let you know if H-B gets more out of his plush-suited shell tomorrow. Not literally, but... You know, get a little less timid about tinkering with stuff. Maybe if I play that song again, he"ll be a little more cooperative. Octavia out.
