Later That Day
Shadow was sitting in the living room with his chin resting on his hand, looking interested in the book he was reading. Usually, his gaze remains fierce and intimidating but within the safety of his own home, he can relax his gaze. There he sat, relaxed and intrigued on a single couch next to the window where the sky was a tint of azure, while the brick walls were lit with an ultra-warm white. His ear twitched a bit when he heard the door unlock and open, he didn't bother to look since he knew who it was. He didn't look over at his roommate until he finished the page he was reading, once he did, he marked the page and placed it down. Looking over at Rouge the Bat coming in, with her tan purse hanging on her shoulder, wearing black chunky heel booties along with her black and thin striped dres's suit. Resting her purse on the counter near their door and her set of keys in the key jar beside it. "Hey Hun", Rouge said to Shadow after she set her stuff and removed her shoes to get comfortable in their home, sitting on the two-person couch placed beside the one he was sitting in. Shadow nodded at her response, acknowledging her. She sat on the couch placing her head back and closing her eyes for a bit. Shadow took a sideways glance at her after opening his book again, holding it down for a minute. "You should sleep for a bit", he suggested to Rouge in his rough voice, Rough peeked over at him with a smirk and nodded in agreement. "I will Hun, but it'll be a short one, I have to go somewhere in an hour or so. You can come if you'd like", she informed him. Shadow raised an eyebrow at her, questioning the event, using his gaze. Rouge sat up smiling at Shadow genuinely and explained to him how they're doing a welcoming party for the gang's friend, Blaze, along with how she's moving into their dimension. With this information being shared with him, it had caught his curiosity since 'Blaze' was from another dimension, he lingered on the idea of going but decided not to since he doesn't like to socialize. So he rejected Rouge's invitation. Rouge nodded with a small smile and headed off to her room and decided to rest before preparing for the small party. Leaving Shadow to continue on with his private time.
Rouge had woken up 30 minutes later and decided to get ready by taking a shower and getting changed for the small party. Changing into a set of flared blue jeans, tan heel boots, with a white trumpet sleeve shirt, and smiling at her outfit. Over the years Rouge has also changed, getting classier with age, growing out her hair, where she's able to portray her bangs and sideburns. Wear some natural make-up to save herself some time to head on over to Blaze's place. She looked at herself in the mirror and portrayed a satisfied smile, nodding at her reflection and heading out towards the living room where Shadow was now in the Kitchen, preparing himself dinner. Rouge grabbed her purse again and headed out, waving Shadow goodbye and he responded by nodding her farewell. Rouge headed out of her apartment and had walked down the hall towards Blaze's apartment, thanks to Rouge, she was able to find Blaze a place to stay instantly. Rouge had walked into Blaze's apartment, knowing that Amy was in there assisting Blaze with the food setup, right before everyone else showed up. There they were, Amy with her hair long as well but her hair up in a messy bun, wearing a white summer with baby blue flower prints and some white fancy sandals. While Blaze tried to go along with wearing white by changing into a white sleeveless turtleneck and a set of black pegged pants with tan slippers matching her belt. When Rouge came through the door into the apartment both Amy and Blaze looked over and grinned at her and they both walked over to give each other a group embrace. "Hey Hun, how are you doing?" asked Rouge to Blaze, Blaze shrugged and mentioned that she's doing alright, making Rouge nod in understanding knowing it was still difficult for Blaze to adjust. Amy watched with a sad smile since she never liked seeing anyone she cares about in a stressful situation but she smiled wholeheartedly again and clapped her hands saying that it's time for a good time. Both Rouge and Blaze smiled at her bubbly attitude and nodded in agreement. Blaze honestly found them a bit intimidating since in their dimension they're successful women. Rouge a worldwide jewel expert and Amy a plant shop owner. Yet, here she was, having to start from rock bottom. This gave her a moment to look both of them over, grateful for having friends like them to rely on, this made her eyes appear sad and her ears tilt down for a split second but she snapped out of that trance instantly since now wasn't the time to grieve. Now was the time to be thankful for the moment.
A few hours later everyone was basically in Blaze's apartment having a blast with either a drink or food in their hands as they chatter amongst one another. Sonic and Amy were sitting across from each other on her kitchen counter with Cream, Tails, and Vanilla sitting there amongst them. They were discussing Amy's business and Amy was exchanging ideas and tips with Vanilla, at the same time, the rest of them at the table were discussing stories and events with one another. Where Knuckles and Rouge were sharing a single couch together with Rough sitting on the armrest with her arm wrapped around Knuckles' shoulder sitting across from Tika and Silver who were nearly doing the same except sitting beside each other as Silver had his arm around her shoulder instead as Tikal held the same hand wrapped around her. They sat there exchanging stories about their romantic events and discussing futuristic goals happily with one another. There Blaze stood leaning against the wall by her window, staring at them with glee, thankful for the fact that she wasn't alone anymore, shifting her glance out the window now and wondering. What else can this dimension provide her? Where down the hall Shadow stood on his porch looking out into the nearly dark city.
