Chapter 18: Loss
Endymion woke up next to His wife, another day dawning on them, new challenges to face. So when he woke up and serenity was a little ball, he was concerned. But before he could consult her, the main door opened and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter came tumbling in. Endymion smiled slightly as he watched the toddler jump carefully onto their bed and onto his legs.
"Papa" she squeals and his wife next to him groans quietly in a soft cry of pain. He watched slowly as she stood up, her arms swiftly at her side as she glided towards the bathroom. Then he saw it.
Where she was laid in their bed, stained on the white sheets was a red dot of blood. He assumed she had hurt herself while she was sleeping, dug her sharp nails into her thighs from a nightmare, that she had woken up crying from.
He was a horrible husband. He didn't even offer her a sign of comfort; too busy absorbed in his daughter. Small lady tugged his nose with a smile. "Where mama" she asks, and he smiles to her gently.
"in the bathroom. Give her a few minutes." He whispers and about Ten minutes later, Serenity still didn't exit. He became extremely worried so he quickly dressed and bathed Small Lady before running into the bedroom to find Serenity back in bed. Her tears and Aina taught him the worst.
Serenity was on her death bed. Endymion ran up to her and hugged her gently. "What's wrong?" he asked her gently in a soft soothing whisper. She smiled sadly.
"The silver crystal…it was almost like it was confused between yours and mine, and the fact that I had one heir. So, it thought that I could have one more heir from the golden crystal. But it doesn't work like that. Since I'm the one bearing the child, and already have had one." Serenity says and Endymion frowns.
"I don't understand" he says… then…" the silver crystal is killing you because you're going to have another one" he says, and she shakes her head.
"I'll need to have surgery but that's really risky" Serenity says in a sad voice. Endymion frowned slightly, no one ever had surgery unless it was important. Then Aina, decided to speak up slightly.
"Serenity has had a miscarriage" Aina spoke from behind. Endymion didn't know what that was, and it was clear on his face. So Aina spoke again. "Serenity has lost the baby". Endymion's face was masked of shock but then, Serenity groaned in pain and whimpered as she crouched up into a ball. Endymion stroked her hair gently and she smiled.
"It's alright" he whispers. "You'll be fine". He whispers.
"Aina says this lasts a while" Serenity whispers. "Can you stay with me?" she asks in a whisper. He nods.
"Of Course," he says as he slides onto the bed next to her. "Always, Until the end" he whispers softly.
A/N: I really approve of this, the smallest chapter in this. I just thought that it would be a cute little bit of fluff and tension.

"Your Highness" a Palace guard says as they come running up to them, stopping in a bow. "We've received teleportation from Prince Seiya of the Stars from the moon. You said he was a threat so we are standing guard at the palace teleportation room. But he's gone somewhere else on earth" he informs the high king.
"Alright. Gather up supplies, we'll go to the underground bunker" Endymion announces. The guard nods and turns to walk towards the emergency supply room.
"Come here Small Lady" Serenity calls their daughter and Small Lady complies, coming to her mother's legs, tugging gently at her dress. In her eyes, she knew this was about to end soon. With either her husband or Seiya dead.
