Four:

"How did she get wolfsbane poisoning?" I ask him, and he shakes his head. I try to stay calm, as I lift her, and take her to Zeke's car. "You know the hospital that werewolves go to, right?" He nods, silently. "Take us there," I say, and add to Tris: "I won't let you die on us." Foam pours out of her mouth, and I kiss her forehead.

All the werewolves shouted dissent at Zeke until I walk in with Tris in my arms. They went silent immediately, and I asked for a nurse. All the foam has cleared up, after surgery, and she's slowly regaining her coloured skin. "Hey," I hear, and look up at her. Tris is awake, but barely. "Hey," I reply and get up. "Would you like the nurse?" She shakes her head, and I sit on the end of her bed. She tries to sit up but winces a little. "It's okay, it's just me here," I say, and help her sit up. I put my hand on her waist, and my other hand on her upper arm, and she sits upright. "Four, Artemis visited me early. I'm not even of age." She bites her lip, and I rest my hand on her shoulder. "My soulmate... I don't even know," she looks at me. "Who?" I ask, eagerly. Did she get me or not? "Who's your soulmate?" I try not to sound jealous, but that fails me. She ignores the fact I sound jealous. "His name's Tobias Eaton," she looks at her hands. I nod and almost say "I am Tobias Eaton," but Zeke barges in with Tris' parents. I press my lips in a line and step away from her. Mrs Prior wraps her arms around her, and Mr Prior strokes her hair softly. I can tell that they're happy, unlike my father and me. My mother, Evelyn, had an affair with an unknown man, and my Dad found out. Sometimes he punches me, then breaks down and sobs. He's now an alcoholic. He loved Evelyn with all his heart, and he found out she was lying to him about everything. I'm surprised that I even exist since I was a by-product of their one-way love. My father's a good man, but with a broken heart.

Andrew comes up to Zeke and me. I stand stiffly, waiting for my soulmate's father's reaction. He smiles at us and shakes our hands. "Thank you, you saved my daughter." He says, respectfully, and I bow my head in thanks. He smiles at me. "Well, Four saved her. All I did was drive, and pick a fight." He jokes, and Andrew chuckles. Natalie hugs Zeke and me. I smile into the hug. It's bittersweet for me since Evelyn is a lying cheating toad. She's hurt me more than Dad has. I hear a cellphone ring, and I check my phone. My dad is calling. "I have to take this," I say and head off. I answer it in the corridor. "Tobias! Where are you?" His voice is slurring, but he still sounds worried. "Are you okay, Tobias?" He asks again. "I'm fine, Dad. I'm at the werewolf hospital at the moment." We start panicking and says a million things all at once. "Dad, I'm okay. Tris Prior had some wolfsbane, and I had to take her here." Dad sighs contently and clears his throat. "Would you like me to come over?" He asks, and I shrug. Realizing he can't see me, I tell him it's his choice. "Wait! Dad, are you drunk?" His voice hasn't slurred since the first sentence. He denies the fact and hangs up. I sigh and go back in. "I guess we'll have to do the Matthews prank next year," I hear Tris say, and we laugh. Even Andrew laughs. "I honestly hated Jeanine when she was younger," he explains. I nod. I don't see how she is likeable to anyone. "Anyway, who was that, Four?" Zeke asks, and I smile.

"That was my Dad."

Tris:

Ten minutes after Four's phone call, a tall man arrives. I don't recognize him. He's pale, with dark blue eyes... like Four's. His hair is greying, and it was once naturally brown. He might've been handsome when he was younger, and without his wrinkles and bags under his eyes. He greets me first, and I smile at him. "Not to rude or anything, but who are you?" I ask, and he gives a respectful chuckle. Dad is embarrassed, and Mom's laughing as well. Four has a smile, and Zeke's as lost as I am. "Tris, that's my Dad, Marcus Eaton." Four says, and my jaw drops. "Dad, this is Beatrice Prior." Four is Tobias Eaton. He is my soulmate. I shake hands with him, and he gives me a small smile. He pulls away from me, and I look Four in the eye, and he holds that stare. If we were in wolf form, one of us would attack the other. I look away, and he smiles at me. I clear my throat and speak up. "Can Four and I have some alone time?" I ask my family, and they smile. Zeke and Marcus leave, too. "Why didn't you say anything?" Tobias looks at me, and I challenge him. Holding the stare. "I wanted too, but Zeke and your parents came in, and I couldn't." I sigh and look back down at my hands. Zeke walks in, and I look up at him. "The hospital said that you can be dismissed," Tobias nods. "Hey, Four?" He turns back to face me. " Do I call you Tobias or Four?" He smiles and gives me a light chuckle. "When we're alone, can you call me Tobias?" I nod my head and try to get up. I realize I am in a t-shirt that just goes down past my butt, but could show my undies at any moment. I blush bright red and flip the covers back over my bare legs. Tobias is also bright red, and I ask him for my parents. He leaves, and I try to think back to before I was poisoned. Who did it? Why? I ask myself a million questions, and Tobias returns with my going-home clothes.

A/N: thank you so much for reading this! I had a question last chapter; "Are there going to be more supernatural creatures?" Frankly, I'm not sure. We'll just wait and see. Sorry if that's not the response you had in mind.
