A/N: This is my last chapter. I think when I was writing the first one, I was writing a Fanfic called Group Outings and said it would be next. I am almost done with it. I was really trying REALLY HARD to make it not romantic or just slightly, and that hit the fan in chapter 4ish. It's almost done, and I am going to post the first one of that later today. The other story I am working on is very early in development. Thanks, guys, for all the reviews and follows and favorites.

The next morning, early morning, Sam hears her phone ring. She mumbles before reaching over to Jack to pick it up.

"Carter," She claims.

"Major, this is Airman Simmons; your dad Jacob has been requested back," He claims.

"Thanks, I'll let him know," Sam claims before hanging up the phone.

Sam gets out of bed, Jack still asleep.

She knocks on her dad's door.

"The phone calls for me?" Jacob asks.

"You're wanted," Sam claims.

"Knew the fun have to end soon, kiddo," Jacob stated.

"Yeah, but it's been great having you here," Sam stated.

Jacob smiled. "It's good to be home and with you, but duty calls. I'm glad for you and Jack, I really am, but you got keep prospective," Jacob claims.

"I know, dad," Sam claims.

"I know prior to today you would do anything for any one of them, and I would expect that, but you got to realize Sam, you're exposed more than you think. I know why you waited so long, but I saw it in your eyes, multiple times Sam, you've cared for him for a long time. Make sure he takes good care of you, Sam," Jacob claims.

"Thanks, Dad," Sam claimed.

Sam went back to her room, telling Jack she was taking her dad back to the base. He groaned an okay and flipped over; Sam sighed, and grabbed an outfit foregoing a shower, and went to the bathroom, quickly changing, brushing her hair and her teeth before meeting her dad in the kitchen.

"Anything you want to take back with you?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, actually, mind if we make a pit stop to the grocery store? I forgot how much I missed frosted flakes." Jacob claims.

"Sure, dad, of course," Sam claimed.

Jack wandered out of her bedroom.

"Back to the old grind Jacob?" Jack asks.

"Looks like it," Jacob confirmed.

"Let me grab my shoes, and we can go," Sam claimed.

Jacob nodded.

Jacob quickly whipped around to see Jack.

"Sam would kill me if she knew what I was about to say, but it needs to be said. I have no doubt you will protect her, love her, care for her. There are things that are going to be said the moment you two let it out of the bag, and you can't protect her from that," Jacob claims.

Jack sighs, "I know that, but Sam wants this, and I couldn't exactly deny it anymore," He explains.

"I know you make her happy Jack, that's why I'm not mad. Take care of her for me," Jacob stated.

"You know I will, Dad," Jack claims.

"I know you will, son," Jacob claims.

Jack wakes Daniel and tells Teal'c that Jacob is leaving. They say their goodbyes to him, and Sam leaves the group of three at her house as she drives her dad back to the SGC, wondering when the next time she would see him again.

When they arrived at the SGC, Sam was about to walk her dad down to say goodbye.

"Don't Sammy, no need for you to go in and get stuck for the day. I'll leave you here topside to say goodbye," Jacob claimed.

"Dad," Sam stated.

"Go home to Jack, take care of him, Sam, you two, you need each other," Jacob claimed.

"I know, dad," Sam claims.

"This isn't gonna look so good on you when it's finally revealed, but the two of you got some friends in pretty high places looking out for you," Jacob claims.

"I know that too, thanks dad, for understanding," Sam claims.

"The heart wants what the heart wants, I lost your mom way too soon, but I knew I'd never find anyone like her again, and I know you and Jack feel the same way. I hope you have all the time in the world with him, honey," Jacob said.

Sam nodded, trying not to cry, knowing how much love her dad still held for her mother.

"I'll see you soon," Jacob stated.

"Bye, Dad," Sam said.

"Bye, Sammy," Jacob said as he walked to the entrance, and Sam pulled back onto the road, hoping that she would see her dad sooner rather than later.

When Sam arrived home, she had seen her kitchen had been raided, and Jack was at the helm making pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast.

"I think we owe you a shopping trip," Jack said, looking at the spread on her Kitchen Island.

"Those eggs were outdated," Sam mentioned.

"I did the float test," Jack claimed.

"They taste like usual chicken eggs," Teal'c claimed.

Sam smiled.

Took a stab at the scrabbled egg.

"I'm sure I've had worse," Sam claimed and ate the large plate of food left for her.

It wasn't too much longer that Daniel and Teal'c said they were taking off, leaving Jack and Sam alone.

Jack was cleaning up the kitchen while Sam finished her meal.

"I'm surprised you didn't get stuck there," Jack claimed.

"Dad didn't let me go in. Thought there were better places for me to be," Sam smiled.

"He wasn't wrong," Jack stated.

"I know," Sam agreed.

When the kitchen was all clean and everything was in its proper place, they two looked at each other.

"Just you and me, Sam," Jack stated.

Sam was well aware of that fact, the way she felt warm, she wasn't nervous about him or the next step, but she wasn't sure how it would look, what would happen. Should they take it slow? Unlike with Steven, their bodies were never aligned before. She wanted him. She wanted nothing more than take off his clothes, and memorize every inch of skin, find out what he liked, what he wanted. Then again, was that something you should do before a first date, Sam wasn't sure any of her relationships had ever been conventional. Maybe they didn't need to be, or maybe they weren't supposed to be. Maybe Jack would be the one to show her how to have a normal relationship, or as normal as they could while visiting with aliens on a daily basis.

"Sam, this can be whatever it needs to be for now, but I won't let our relationship go back to the way it was," Jack stated.

Sam nodded, knowing that she wouldn't be able to stand the distance anymore.

"Thank you," Sam said, walking up to him leaning into his body. There had been so many times that he had said just the right thing. They just held each other for a long time, not saying a word holding each other close, allowing their feelings to break through the thick wall they have built for so long. Jack could feel the weight off his chest. Sam seemed to fit him perfectly. It wasn't like they hadn't embraced or been close to one another, but there was always that talk inside their head that this means nothing more than that they cared for each other as friends. Now it could mean what it always meant. They both cared for each other they both knew it completely, and the feelings they let themselves have were overwhelming. Sam looked up at him pushed her lips to his. Jack's heart rate quickened, and he couldn't believe how long they truly went without all of these feelings.

After they detangled from one another, Jack invites Sam back to his place, and she agrees but sends him along, promising to be over soon. She needed a minute to catch a break for her heart and mind to sync up, to shower. When Jack walked out the door, her heart hurt a little after all this time being right in front of each other, ignoring their feelings. It felt worse now that she sent him away, although it wouldn't be long before they saw each other again.

Sam went to her room, deciding to dress up a little for Jack O'Neill. She grabbed a blue shirt with a boat neck and a black mini skirt she can't remember the last time she wore it. She grabbed a pair of stilettos out of her closet, the black patent leather pair she bought for herself so long ago, only wearing them a handful of times. This was unlike her. She knew Jack could care less what she came wearing. She hoped he would want to take whatever she had on off, but she wouldn't be too upset if it didn't happen tonight. She quickly got in the shower, cleaned herself off. She used her blow dryer. She can't remember the last time she plugged in. She used her eyeliner and mascara. She put on a slightly darker blush and used a red lipstick instead of the natural beige she was so used to.

Sam remembered the skirt being slightly longer, but it didn't matter. She stood up and looked herself over in the mirror and had to admit she felt good. She slipped on her heels, completed the look, and walked, and was heading down the steps when there was a knock on the door. Sam answered and saw Daniel, who just gave her a look over and smirked.

"Sorry, I must have left my wallet here," Daniel claimed.

Sam let him in, and they looked, finding it squished between the couch cushions.

"Thanks, sorry for delaying you. Have fun be careful." Daniel claims as he walks out the door.

Sam can't help but smile and closes the door and, leaning against it, taking a deep breath. She grabs her keys and walks out the door, wondering what today will bring.

Jack looks around, realizing he hadn't cleaned up, and although he never was never a slob, he wanted it fresh and clean, suddenly finding a multi-surface cleaner and wiping everything down. He picked up the pile of sports magazines piling up on the coffee table and putting them on the bookshelf. He decides to shower and use his best aftershave. He pulls on a pair of jeans and a black button-up going barefoot throughout the home.

Jack looks around, waiting wondering when Sam was going to show up. His heart was beating faster, anticipating her arrival. He felt ridiculous and tried to talk his body out of its reaction, but as the clock ticked further and further, the self-doubt came creeping in, and he wondered if not when Sam would show.

The knock on his door startled him, but he quickly got up and answered, not even looking to see who it was.

When Jack's eyes met Sam's, he smiled instantly then realized she was as tall as he was and looked down to see the shoes she had chosen, but what hit him first was his view of her collar bone and the very top of her breasts, no cleavage to be seen, and then as he scanned further down she was wearing a skirt that showed her long tone legs, and the heels his eyes had finally expected to see.

"You look, Woah," Jack claimed.

Sam blushed and looked at him.

"Not too bad yourself, and you smell good too," Sam claims.

"Thought you'd like it," Jack claimed

Sam smiled, and at that point, Jack realized they were still standing in his doorway, and he was sure Mrs. Merial, the nosy old lady next door, would give him an ear full for having a woman over to his home. He had to come up with a witty comment when the inevitable conversation would happen.

Jack pulled her in. He had never seen her in such high heels and found he liked when they met eye to eye. He didn't have to bend to kiss her lips, and the lipstick she was wearing made it feel like she painted a target on her lips just for him.

After a few minutes, Sam asked, "Is this what you had in mind, Colonel?"

"Well, I'm not completely against it, but I don't know a walk around the block get all the neighbors talking," Jack smirked.

"Didn't know you were the neighborhood pot-stirrer," Sam claimed.

"You should expect it, but I guess there is a lot we need to learn," Jack admitted.

"Yeah!" Sam whispered.

"Sam, this is gonna be different. We can handle that right. There's more to me than Colonel O'Neill." Jack stated.

"I know that, but you haven't shown it too much," Sam mentioned.

"I know that, and I'm sorry, but I couldn't show this side because we've always been a house of cards, and I knew one wrong move would tear it down. Trust me, Sam, I'll show you." Jack claimed.

Sam nodded.

"What about you, Samantha Carter? I didn't think you were one to be owning that." Jack smiled.

"Mmm, more where that came from," Sam stated.

"Yeah?" Jack asks.

"Yeah." Sam nods.

"Good, because I like you in non-military issued clothing," Jack claims.

"You can count on that," Sam claimed, pushing closer to Jack.

"Sam?" He questioned.

"Hmm?" She asks.

"Nothing," he mutters.

"Jack, you don't have to pretend anymore," Sam claimed.

"I'm not. I just…"

"Don't know how far you want to take it," Sam asks.

"Oh, no, I know, I just don't know if it's the right idea," Jack claims.

Sam stopped for a second and pulled back.

"Jack, you know I don't expect anything, and we don't need to do anything," Sam says suddenly. "I know it's been a long time, you have me, and I'm not going anywhere, so whatever you want to do," Sam claimed.

"I invited you here because I have the bigger bed," Jack claims.

Sam can't help but blush and loves the fact he's so open with her.

"So let's go see how big it really is," Sam stated, grabbing his butt and walking towards the room in the back.

Jack is quick to follow.

"You sure this is what you want?" Jack asks.

"It has been for a long time Jack," Sam claims.

"How long?" Jack asks.

Sam smirked

"More than I care to admit," Sam stated.

"No reason to get shy on me now," Jack claimed as Sam stood in front of him, unbuttoning his shirt.

"I've always found you attractive the moment I met you, but I thought you'd be an ass," Sam explained.

Jack smirked.

"So, how am I?" Jack asks.

"Mmm, I admire that ass of yours, but honestly, Jack, you, I've never felt so safe with anyone else. I've never felt like I do when we're together. You've kept me moving through the gate for a long time. When I came, I didn't expect you to be so trusting of me, caring of me after a while. I thought that you were going to kill Daniel by the 6-month mark, and God, you brought a Jaffa back with you and trusted him like a brother. Jack, you're instincts, your skill, your passion that's who you are to me, and although you can be an ass, it only to people who deserve it." Sam smiled back.

"Sam, you gave me a reason to trust you, to care for you. You have to know you, T, and Danny are like family to me, even if this never panned out. I love you, and I will always will no matter what happens. Sam, if this thing goes south, nothing changes," Jack says as he pulls her shirt over her head.

Sam freezes.

"Jack, you can't say that. If we don't work out, that's going to change everything. I can't say that it won't. You have to know that no matter what, everything has changed; we can't undo this, Jack. You have to know what we're doing can't be undone," Sam says suddenly.

Jack looks into her eyes. If Thor was to beam him up to ship right this minute, he couldn't even describe the bra she was wearing because all at once, it hit Jack O'Neill that his life, their life wouldn't be the same she's right. They couldn't go back to Major and Colonel, even at work. Once they knew each other like this, there was no going back. She was his second. God, she was his second, and he's not sure what he was thinking. Why did everyone condone this? It was a horrible idea. It was the worst idea he's ever had, but it was his dream come true. Karma was bitch a total bitch. He wasn't sure what he'd done in his previous life, maybe he was a Nazi, or maybe he was Jack the Ripper. He just knew that it shouldn't be this complicated.

"Please, Jack, don't overthink this. It's what we've been doing for years. I want this; you want this, we deserve this. I just need you to understand this changes everything." Sam claims touching his face.

Jack is zoned out for a minute longer, his brain reeling.

"Your right. We'll figure out, for better or worse. You deserve this, Sam, I deserve this," Jack claims.

Sam nods. "We deserve us," Sam claims.

"Us." Jack nods.

Jack finally looks down at Sam's chest, smiling at the lace bra looking at her. She knew this is where the day would lead, it was still early, enough to spend all day in bed if they wanted and still get sleep before Monday came, and they would have to act as though nothing changed. Jack shook that thought as Sam reached for his pants, and he held bated breath as her fingers pulled down his zipper.

Jack thought that he would remember every moment of this day when he and Samantha Carter finally got into his bed, but it was an utter mind-numbing intensity that was a total blur to him. She was in control full complete control, and he was like paper that she crumpled in her hand. Even if he tried, he could not tell Samantha Carter to stop. The one image that will forever be burnt in his mind is her in the lace bra, an outline of her nipples in clear view, and she is over top of him, her matching bottoms, and she kept the damn heels on. This was more than he had dreamed of, and when she kissed down his chest and pulled on his boxers, his hipped jerked away from the bed, allowing her to remove them. If he didn't know any better, he felt like he was under some kind of alien spell, but this was all Samantha Carter.

Jack unclipped her bra, thumbing her nipples and taking in her facial expressions and the way her hips pushed onto him. The pit in Jack's stomach dropped, realizing they could have been doing this years earlier, but he didn't have time or that regret. He was here with Samantha Carter, and he prayed that she would be with him forever.

The next several weeks are a test for all of them. Sam and Jack hadn't exactly set ground rules as far as the SGC, but it was almost business as usual. Jack would visit more freely and didn't play completely dumb as she discussed what she was working on. There had been no rumors in their change of relationship, and going through the gate was actually better than ever because they knew where they stood with each other. Jack didn't hide his pain when there were close calls, and Sam easily admitted she felt it was her fault if one of them became injured. The tension that had been so wound up was suddenly loose, and it seemed like SG-1 was getting more done melded together even better, and the program was better because of it.
