Ben and Gwen returned to the Rustbucket. They had just met Ladybug at the Eiffel Tower and explained to her the threat of Vilgax and why they made a deal with Kevin. As they entered the Rustbucket Grandpa Max was waiting for them.
"You two alright? It took awhile for you to return after the akuma was stopped?" asked Grandpa Max slightly worried.
"Yeah yeah we're fine we just had a talk with Ladybug." replied Ben
"About what?" further asked Grandpa Max now with curiosity instead of worry.
"We told her about Vilgax and Kevin." answered Gwen.
"So she knows about Vilgax now? How'd she take it?" asked Grandpa Max.
"As well as someone could take it. I mean finding out there's an evil alien warlord coming definitely would make someone worry." said Ben.
"Alright well tomorrow you two have school so let's hit the hay." said Grandpa Max
The Tennysons all got ready for bed and then went to sleep. What they didn't notice however was around 3am the Omnitrix dial started to glow and blink a deep blue color before stopping after a few minutes.
Marinette didn't sleep well last night. She couldn't stop thinking about Vilgax.
So when morning eventually came she was of course very groggy and lethargic. She very slowly entered the kitchen of her home barely able to keep her eyes open.
"Marinette honey did you sleep at all last night?" asked her mother.
"Not really. Just couldn't sleep." Half lied Marinette not wanting to tell her mother about the evil alien warlord coming to possibly destroy the world. Yeah that would go great and totally not panic her mom.
"Hmmm maybe you should stay home from school today. I can call you in sick today if you would like." offered Marinette's mom
"No! I mean no thanks mom I can manage." declined Marinette yawning.
"Alright if you're sure honey." replied Marinette's mom taking a sip of her morning coffee.
After a slow breakfast Marinette walked to school. She arrived five minutes late and when Ms Bustier asked why she was late (this time) Marinette for once had an honest excuse.
"I didn't sleep well last night" yawned Marinette barely able to keep her eyes open.
Ms Bustier sighed having gotten used to this behavior from Marinette and returned to teaching her lesson.
Right as Marinette was about to enter dreamland Alya tapped her on the shoulder startling her awake.
"Ahh Alya what is it." whispered Marinette. Normally she would have jumped and stuttered ,but today she was too tired to fully react.
"Girl you look terrible are you sure you should have come to school today?" asked Alya worriedly
"Yes Alya I'll be fine. If you could take some notes for me though I would appreciate it" yawned Marinette before falling asleep with her head down.
Marinette closed her eyes for what felt like a split second only to awaken to hearing Alya snap her fingers in front of her face. "Marinette, girl wake up. Class is over." stated Alya continuing to snap.
"Gah I'm up!" panicked Marinette quickly gathering her things and rushing out of the classroom and to her next class followed by Alya.
The two friends took their seats. Marinette laid her head down onto her desk and Alya looked at her worryingly.
"Marinette are sure you're ok? Cause honestly you look like a zombie." asked Alya.
Marinette yawned before replying. "Yeah I'll be fine. Just need some sleep." "and to find a solution to well Vilgax and his impending invasion." mentally thought Marinette. She was about to fall asleep again when Ben and Gwen walked into the classroom. Ben's presence immediately set Marinette's brain into overdrive with panicky thoughts "Gah I can't let him see me look like a zombie!, What if I still have bedhead?, Can't let him see me sleep through class!"
So Marinette forced herself to remain awake all so as not to embarrass herself in front of Ben. This would prove to later be a mistake for the moment the class ended and Ben left Marinette slumped her head down and fell asleep only to have Alya wake her and help her up just to get to her next class which she would just sleep through again.
After Lunch Marinette was feeling better having just slept through it and actually getting some sleep that wasn't on a desk. but she still felt tired and fatigued but able to remain awake and focus.
It was now last period and everyone was a little burned out and counting down the minutes until they could all go home. The time was 2:58pm, 2 minutes till the final bell and the end of school.
All the jock like and more fun students like Ben, Kim, Nino, and Ivan weren't really paying attention to the class but the clock and the nerds and smart students like Max, Gwen and Adrien were the only ones paying attention to the teacher. The remaining students were either silently chatting so the teacher wouldn't notice or daydreaming like Marinette.
She was daydreaming of her life as an Adult with Ben. They'd have a hamster, live in a nice house and Ringgggggg! Marinette's daydreaming was interrupted by the final bell. All the jock like and fun kids immediately left having already packed up their things, the smart guys and nerds finished up their notes and then followed everyone else out. All but Marinette who just stared at Ben the whole time until Alya went back and dragged her out with her.
"Marinette please tell me you weren't daydreaming again?" rhetorically asked Alya already knowing the answer.
"What no...maybe so what if I was?" replied Marinette.
"So you really need to just ask a certain someone out instead of sleeping and daydreaming all day." answered Alya.
Marinette sighed before replying "Alya you know I don't have the courage to actually ask him out. Besides how would a relationship between us even work I mean he probably won't even be staying here after the summer is over."
Alya groaned before getting a wicked idea. "Hey Ben wait up!" yelled Alya to Ben. Currently Ben and Gwen were leaving the school but stopped when they heard Alya shout out for Ben right at the exit.
Alya ran over to them and pulled Marinette along with her grasping her wrist and not letting go.
When Alya and Marinette arrived at the foot of the stairs at the entrance they found Ben and Gwen waiting for them. "Yeah Alya? Something wrong?" asked Ben.
"Oh no nothing is wrong. Marinette just has something really important to ask you." answered Alya with a wicked grin on her face. She stepped behind Marinette and pushed about a foot forwards to be standing right in front of Ben. "Go ahead Marinette ask him what you need to ask him." said Alya putting her right on the spot.
Marinette of course just stood there flabbergasted and unnerved. "Uhhhhhhhhh" was all she could make out whilst Gwen was mouthing "Tell him." and "ask him out" from behind Ben.
The constant uhhhhhing continued for about another half minute before Ben interrupted Marinette. "Look if you have something you need to ask just ask me. Otherwise I've got some homework to work on right now."
Just then the gears in Marinette's brain began to stop stalling and resume working. However only partially seeing as she is in the presence of her crush which is like putting a compass to a magnet "huh huh homework. Yeah homework I was wondering if you could uh... help me with my homework yeah." finally replied Marinette earning silent groans from Gwen and Alya.
Ben was surprised at this but replied "Oh well uh I'm not the best person to help you with homework but Gwen could help you. She's way better at that sort of thing than me."
Marinette gained a brief look of sadness on her face before Gwen spoke up. "Actually Ben, today I've got fencing so I can't help Marinette at the moment."
Of course Ben still not picking up on the context replied "Oh maybe ask Adrien or Max they are the other smart students in our classes."
Before Marinette would have given up due to her fears Alya butted in " Ben they can't help Marinette today. Adrien also has fencing and I'm pretty sure Max is helping Kim with his homework right now."
"Hadn't thought of that. Well Marinette if you like I could meet you at your place in an hour and we could work on our homework together then. But I've gotta warn you I'm not any good at it so you'll probably be helping me more than I would help you." said Ben.
"ye...yeah that'd be uh fine. Don...Don't worry about not being so great It'll be fine yeah uh see you at Four!" replied Marinette running off giddy back to her home followed by Alya.
Marinette's Home 4:02pm
Up in her bedroom Marinette was panicking because Ben is running late.
"Marinette relax. He's only two minutes late. It's not the end of the world." spoke Tikki trying to calm her paranoid Owner.
"But if he really wanted to come then wouldn't he have arrived on time!" exasperatedly replied Marinette.
"It's only been two minutes he is most likely just running a little late is all." replied Tikki. The moment Tikki finished speaking there was a knock on her trapdoor.
"Marinette sweetie there's a boy here to see you." called her mother from beneath the room.
"Ah uh yeah send him on up!" replied Marinette loudly before whispering to Tikki to hide. Tikki hid in Marinette's purse.
A moment later Ben came up wearing his typical attire and his backpack containing all his books and school supplies. Marinette was currently sitting at her desk with her school supplies out.
"Oh...hey Ben I'm r...ready to get to work." stuttered Marinette with a sheepish grin.
"Ok cool." simply replied Ben pulling up a chair next to Marinette and sitting next to her. Marinette began to stare at him and having fantasies together with him in her head.
"Marry me Marinette and together we'll have a nice house and pet hamster!" declared the Ben of Marinette's fantasy.
Back in real life the actual Ben began pulling out his books, pencils, and calculator before asking Marinette "So what subject to you want to work on first?"
"Anything you want. Huh what was that again?" Marinette said the first phrase dreamily have been in her daydream but she when she snapped out of it she replied sounding confused.
"Uh I was asking what subject you wanted us to work on first cause I've got homework in almost every subject." answered Ben.
"Oh you can choose anything is fine." said Marinette blushing.
For once Ben wasn't oblivious and noticed Marinette's blushing. "Hey you alright your cheeks are looking a little pink."
The fact that Ben noticed only embarrassed Marinette more causing her blush to turn red. "uhhhh it's nothing." quickly stammered Marinette.
"If it's nothing then why did your cheeks just turn a light red?" asked Ben.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." was the only sound that left Marinette's mouth as he mind struggled to come up with a response. After a few moments Marinette was snapped out of her stupor by curiosity. She saw Ben's left arm was on the table and his watch was glowing blue.
"Hey Ben does your watch normally do that?" asked Marinette.
"Huh?" said Ben as he stared at his watch and for the first time noticed it's strange behavior.
"That's new." mumbled Ben speaking to himself.
"What's new?" asked Marinette.
"Oh uh This is just my watch setting off a reminder. I uh completely forgot I got this thing with my Grandpa today I'm really sorry but I've gotta go." Ben said rushing together the excuse as he made his way out of Marinette's bedroom.
"Ben wait there's something I need to tell you!" exclaimed Marinette.
"Sorry Mari its important I'll see you at school tomorrow." quickly said Ben and he left.
"I'm in love with you." sadly spoke Marinette staring at her trapdoor with a look of sadness.
"Wait did he call me Mari? I kind of like it." thought Marinette with a bit of a blush.
The moment Ben left the bakery he called Grandpa Max.
"Hey Ben everything alright I did just drop yo-" Ben interrupted Grandpa Max before he could finish "Grandpa Something's up with the Omnitrix I need you now!"
"Woah Ben slow down there. What exactly is wrong with it?" asked Grandpa Max.
"It's uh it's complicated but it's glowing blue. Could you uh maybe come get me at the Bakery and we'll try to figure it out together." explained Ben.
"Alright I'm on my way but Ben. Do not mess with it until I arrive. Understand?" ordered Grandpa Max.
"Yeah Grandpa I get it." replied Ben ending the call before looking down at his glowing blue watch.
"What is up with you?" wondered Ben staring at the Omnitrix.
A few minutes later.
The Rustbucket pulled up in front of Ben at the Dupain Cheng Bakery. Ben quickly rushed in and Grandpa Max drove off after Ben closed the door.
"Is the Omnitrix beeping or releasing any energy?" asked Grandpa Max as he looked for a place to park.
"No it's just constantly blinking and glowing blue." answered Ben.
"Keep it under control while I pull into this parking garage. Then we can try and figure it out together." replied Grandpa Max as he pulled the Rustbucket into the parking garage he mentioned.
A minute later Ben and Grandpa Max were looking over the Omnitrix still in the Rustbucket which Grandpa Max had parked in the parking garage. Currently Grandpa Max was using one of his many plumber tools to run a scan on the Omnitrix in an attempt to try and detect any abnormal energy outputs but was currently coming up with squat.
"Nothing seems wrong on my scanner Ben. I could try and take a look up close at it but I don't really have any equipment to do that." explained Grandpa Max putting away his scanner.
Ben sighed then replied. "No I guess we'll just have to wait this through and see what happens, unless you have a line to Azmuth I don't know about?"
"Sorry Ben I don't. Until we know what exactly is happening to the Omnitrix it's best you don't use it." stated Grandpa Max
Ben looked disappointed but understanding before replying "I understand Grandpa"
Somewhere in Earth's orbit
A Giant Spaceship was nearing the earth. The ship was gigantic in size roughly equal to a skyscraper. The front of the ship appeared to be like two twin towers built adjacent were horizontal and arcing with lightning between them. The rear side appeared to be the bridge and the area with all of the crew. The ship also had many orange chunks on it that seemed to be like power cells.
Inside the ship's bridge sat its commander. The commander has green skin and wears reddish brown armor and a mask covering his mouth, attached to the armor he also has metallic gloves with small fingers as well as reddish brown cylinder-like objects piercing his arms, and muscular limbs. He has a beard made of tentacles with six tentacles in front of his head and two reaching behind his head. This is Vilgax.
Vilgax is currently sitting in the center of the bridge with his humanoid like drones steering the ship and maintaining its orbit.
"Drones. Status report." spoke Vilgax in his somewhat raspy but intimidating voice.
"We have entered Earth's orbit and maintain a steady orbit." answered one of the drones.
"Excellent. Have we got a signal on the Omnitrix?" asked Vilgax.
"Yes we do although the signal is not like previous signals we have detected. It seems the Omnitrix is receiving a signal instead of producing an energy signature or producing a signal like how we have previously used to detect it." replied the drone.
"Irrelevent. Just tell me where on Earth the signal is coming to and home in on it." commanded Vilgax.
"Locating... The signal is coming from a nation called France on the European continent. Closer analysis reveals it is in the city of Paris and is currently on the move." obediently answered the drone.
"Dispatch a group of drones to take the Omnitrix from Tennyson. But leave all Giant drones on board and prepared for deployment." ordered Vilgax.
"But sir all attempts to retrieve the Omnitrix via drones in the past have failed. Chances of success are still very slim." protested the drone.
"I do not expect the drones to succeed but to cause some chaos and act as a distraction whilst I begin with phase 1 of my plan." replied Vilgax.
"Very well, dispatching drones to attempt retrieval." said the drone as he released some drones pods from the ship and into earth's atmosphere.
About a half hour later
The Rustbucket pulled up in front of the school. Currently there were several fencing students there waiting for pick ups from their parents or bodyguard in Adrien's case. Gwen was one of them and when she noticed the Rustbucket had arrived she said goodbye to her fencing classmates and hopped into the RV.
When Gwen got inside she noticed Ben sitting at the table just staring at the Omnitrix.
"What's up with you Doofus." asked Gwen
"The Omnitrix." simply replied Ben.
"Uhm care to be more specific." spoke Gwen matter of factly as the Rustbucket left the front of the school.
"Its the watch something's wrong with it." Ben replied still in single sentences and staring at the blue glow of his watch.
"What do you mea- oh I see what you mean." said Gwen as she walked up to him but then noticed the blue glow radiating off of the Omnitrix. She took a seat on the opposite side of the table to face Ben.
"Any ideas on what that means or how to fix it?" asked Gwen. Ben shook his head in reply.
"I could try a magic spell to fix it but given my magic's history with that watch it's probably not a good idea." offered Gwen.
"You're right it is probably a bad idea but lets hope we'll find some other alternative later." replied Ben declining her offer.
Bang Bang Bang
Strange metal denting sounds were heard from the roof.
"Uh Grandpa what was that?" asked Gwen before morphing her appearance to look like Lucky Girl.
Grandpa Max pulled up a periscope linked to the RV's video display on the dashboard. On the video he could see two drones on the top of the Rustbucket. The drones appeared to be mini UFO's but with several small limbed metal arms with blasters and other tools attached. Their outer metal plating was a copper brown color with a black underbelly above the limbs.
"We got trouble kids. It's Vilgax's drones." said Grandpa Max before placing the Rustbucket on auto-pilot. Suddenly the drones began to cut through the roof of the RV with a plasma cutter.
"Looks like we don't have time to figure out what's up with the watch. It's Hero Time!" exclaimed Ben activating the Omnitrix only to find that nothing happened. "Come on work you stupid thing!" growled Ben at the Omnitrix which continued to ignore his commands.
Just as the drones finished cutting through and entered the Rustbucket they got blasted to bits by Grandpa Max who had pulled out one of his old plumber laser rifles from the back of the Rustbucket.
"Gwen keep Ben safe I'll handle the drones." ordered Grandpa Max taking down another drone as it entered.
"Got it Grandpa." replied Lucky Girl tossing a mana disc at an incoming drone.
Suddenly the Rustbucket began to lean to the side and wobble. Ben rushed to the window and saw a drone had popped the front right tire and was moving on to the rear one.
"They're taking out the tires!" exclaimed Ben as the auto-pilot began to lose control as the Rustbucket was beginning to hit other cars and nearly hit pedestrians on the sidewalk.
Ben began to mess with the Omnitrix despite knowing that fiddling with it could have consequences. He pushed the button and twisted the dial hoping to somehow activate it but the Omnitrix just continued to glow blue.
Meanwhile Lucky Girl opened the door and shot the drone off the Rustbucket and onto the street. The drone however wasn't destroyed and merely began to join several of its fellow drones floating after them.
At this point the Rustbucket's autopilot began to fail so Grandpa Max took the wheel only to discover that the reason the autopilot failed is because the drones weren't just sabotaging the wheels but also the Rustbucket's systems including the autopilot.
"Our weapons and autopilot are busted. Gwen I need you to keep the drones off the Rustbucket. Ben sit by me so I can keep you safe." ordered Grandpa Max.
As Lucky Girl went to the roof to fight off the drones, Ben took his seat by Grandpa Max and continued to mess with the Omnitrix only to continue to get the blue glow in response.
Marinette was working on her homework when she got a call from Alya.
"Hey Alya what's up?" asked Marinette.
"Girl turn on a TV right now and set the channel to the news!" shouted Alya into the phone causing Marinette to recoil at how loud she spoke. Regardless of her volume Marinette did so and saw The Tennyson's RV being hunted down the streets by these crazy weaponized drones.
"For those of you just tuning in there is currently an army of drones hunting down this RV and one of our cities heroes. Lucky Girl is currently fighting them off." informed Nadja Chamack the cities main reporter.
"We do not at this time have any further details on the development but we will continue to inform you as more information comes in. Also all residents are advised to stay off the streets until the matter is resolved." further finished Nadja on the news.
"Marinette isn't that the Tennyson's RV?" asked Alya over the phone. She however did not receive a response. "Marinette? Marinette girl are you there?" further asked Alya still receiving no response.
Flashback a couple seconds and we see Marinette transforming into Ladybug and leaping out her skylight to intercept the high speed chase leaving her phone on her desk having forgotten to end the call during the news broadcast.
However if Marinette had stayed to watch another minute she would have seen the more breaking news appear.
At the same time...
In the Agreste Mansion Adrien was laying on his bed trying to think of something to do for Heroes Day tomorrow whilst Plagg was being a couch potato and channel surfing.
"Boring, Boring, Boring, Seen it, Boring." groaned Plagg as he cycled through the channels.
"Plagg can you keep it down. I'm trying to think of something nice to do for heroes day." complained Adrien
"Something nice to do? Kid you're Cat Noir you've done something nice for everyone every time you and Ladybug stopped an akuma. Why even bother doing extra work you deserve a day off and you are a hero." replied Plagg
"Those were things Cat Noir did Plagg I need to do something as Adrien Agreste." replied Adrien as Plagg continued channel surfing. Plagg however stopped when he landed on the news channel.
"Uh kid I think that nice thing as Adrien Agreste will have to wait until after we stop whatever this is." said Plagg floating off the couch.
"Stop what?" asked Adrien sitting up to view the TV. On the news was currently a car chase involving the Rustbucket and numerous Vilgax drones.
"Is that Ben and Gwen's mobile home?" questioned Adrien as he got up
"Doesn't matter if it is. We need to get going. As soon as I snag one more piece of Camembert." answered Plagg.
"No time for snacks. Plagg Claws Out!" shouted Adrien. His Ring turned black and Plagg got sucked into it initiating the transformation into Cat Noir.
Cat Noir then leapt out an open window and began to search for the Rustbucket.
Grandpa Max swerved around another turn and kept the Rustbucket steady as Ben continued to fiddle with the Omnitrix and Lucky Girl knocked another drone off of their tail.
Ben after getting a blue glow from the watch again began hitting it on the dashboard of the Rustbucket in frustration.
"Ben stop slamming the watch into the dashboard you'll on- what the" Grandpa Max was interrupted as the Omnitrix began to glow green and seemingly shrink from a bulky watch with wires to a slim and slick green and black wristwatch.
Ben and Grandpa Max were both shocked. "That's new" said Ben as he tried to activate it again. This time however the Omnitrix produced green holograms of its transformation options. "and way cooler." added Ben as he began to cycle through his list of new aliens. "I don't recognize any of these guys. Although under the circumstances this one looks pretty good." said Ben slamming the dial after finding an alien he liked.
In a flash of green light Ben vanished and in his place a new alien appeared. Ben had become a humanoid, plant-like alien that has an overall green and black colored body, mostly with a red flame-patterned head and root-like feet, seemingly holding black rocks. His eyes are oval-shaped with points at each end with pupils copying the shape but are smaller. Also, his shoulders and head have red petals and his elbows and legs have green frills sticking out.
"Oh yeah I'm liking the look of this." said Ben checking himself out before he noticed a stench in the air "Ugh what's that smell... is that me?" wondered Ben out loud.
"Ben under attack right now! Gwen could really use your help too!" said Grandpa Max as he tried to keep the wheels under control as he drove out of the city.
"Oh right." replied Ben getting up from his seat and climbed up to the rooftop to join Lucky Girl in the fight. Currently she was being swarmed by the drones but she was keeping them off of her by holding up a mana dome but it was quickly beginning to crack under the pressure.
Ben as his new alien ran up and punched a drone off then kicked another off. His presence attracted all the drones attention due to their objective being within sight. They immediately ditched their previous target and swarmed Ben knocking him off the Rustbucket and onto the freeway.
"Ben!" exclaimed Lucky Girl also leaping off the moving RV which soon pulled over about 20 feet ahead. She was prepared to aid Ben but apparently he didn't need her help. Ben had discovered that this alien has fire powers and began tossing fireball after fireball destroying drones constantly.
"Oh yeah I think I'll call this alien Swampfire!" declared the newly named Swampfire as he incinerated the last drone. After that he walked up to Lucky Girl and turned back into Ben.
"Why call the new alien Swampfire?" asked Lucky Girl as she reverted back to Gwen.
"Cause he smells like a swamp and shoots fire." replied Ben before showing Gwen the new Omnitrix.
"Check it out the Omnitrix totally got an upgrade." said Ben excitedly.
"Woah that is cool." replied Gwen
"Yeah but that's the good news." added Ben as he activated the Omnitrix to show the transformation options.
"And what's the bad?" asked Gwen
"I seem to have only 10 aliens I've never used before and no access to my previous aliens." explained Ben as he tried to find them by cycling through his transformation options but the choices remained the same 10 new aliens and none of the old ones.
The two then heard some thumping on the ground behind them. They turned to see Ladybug and Cat Noir there looking around at the destroyed drones.
"What did all this?" asked Ladybug examining the damaged drones.
"No clue but who or whatever did this I'm glad they did." replied Cat Noir. The heroes then noticed Ben and Gwen looking at them.
"Oh hi ... civilians you two okay?" asked Ladybug.
"Um yeah we're fine." replied Gwen
"Did either of you two see what happened?" further asked Cat Noir.
"Yeah that alien hero guy totally destroyed those drones." proudly stated Ben getting a jab to the side from Gwen. "Oh and Lucky Girl." added Ben
"Either of you two see them around? I've got a few questions for them." said Ladybug.
Before either of them could reply the door to the Rustbucket opened and out stepped Grandpa Max in his plumber uniform minus the helmet. "Kids you're going to want to see this. Ladybug, Cat Noir you too." shouted Grandpa Max gesturing for them to enter the RV
As the heroes entered they noticed Max's attire.
"You're the plumber?!" Ladybug and Cat Noir both noticed and said as a statement and a question.
"Yes but we don't have time for discussing secrets right now. You all have to see this first." replied Grandpa Max.
"See what Grandpa?" asked Gwen
"This." stated Grandpa Max turning around a small television that sat on the table in the RV. Currently the TV was displaying the news with a big bold headline.
"WORLD LEADERS ABDUCTED!"
The footage on the news showed The White House rooftop being bombed, then drones swoop in and carry out the President with their metal arms under his shoulder and his shouting to be released. The footage then continued to cycle through leaders being abducted in a similar fashion from the Chancellor of Germany to the Prime Minister of India.
"Oh my gosh!" exclaimed Ladybug.
Suddenly the video feed on the TV fizzled out and in its place showed Vilgax's ugly mug.
"People of Earth. I am Vilgax the Conquerer. I have abducted your world leaders and desire only two things in return for them." stated Vilgax capturing the whole world's attention
Ben slammed his fist on the table glaring at Vilgax
"The first thing I desire is the Omnitrix. A device you puny beings are incapable of comprehending. The second is the head of its bearer. The hero known as Ben 10." demanded Vilgax
"If he does not turn himself over to me within the next 24 hours. I will begin executing the world leaders one by one." stated Vilgax. The view changed to show his spaceship the Chimerian Hammer landing atop the Eiffel Tower squashing it.
The camera view returned to Vilgax's face. "Meet me at what is left of your Eiffel Tower at my ship. And come alone or else your leaders will perish." commanded Vilgax before the TV returned to displaying the news with all the anchors at a loss of words.
"The whole drone chase was just a distraction to keep us away from the world leaders so that he could abduct the world leaders without any heroes in the way!" growled Ben.
"Um why would he distract you?" asked Cat Noir
"Cat isn't it obvious?" questioned Ladybug. Cat Noir just looked back with a look of confusion.
Ben sighed and replied.
"I am Ben 10"

Ok First off I am really really really sorry for making you guys wait like 7 months for this chapter. As I mentioned in my last author's note I have no excuse other than writers block and laziness. Originally I wasn't sure if I wanted to use the whole abducted leaders idea but then I just sat on it for months without giving it much thought. Honestly I could have probably come up with something better than that but I didn't want to keep you guys waiting any longer and feel that it's not bad so I'd just go with it. Again really sorry for keeping you guys waiting. I cannot say when I'll have the next chapter up and at this point I'm done trying to establish timelines so lets just estimate for at least one new chapter by the end of summer. That is my guarantee that I'll try to have at least one new chapter by the end of August 2021. Hopefully however I will get both parts of the finale up by then (Yes I decided to do a two part finale). Anyways again sorry for the incredibly long wait.
