Chapter 5: Part 1
Cho
"Uggggggg!"
"What's wrong Cho?"
"None of these books have what we need! No glamor charm no nothing! So you tell me what's wrong Terry!"
"Ok, ok, I was just asking."
"You know," Luna slid up next to them at the table. "there's one place we haven't looked." She whispered.
"I know that he hasn't tried the restricted section Luna! But to get there we'd need a-" Luna threw something at her.
"I told Mcgonagall that it was demigod business and she was more than happy to oblige." Sure enough, staring up at her was Professor Mcgonagall's signature.
'I Minerva Mcgonagall gave my permission to browse the restricted section to the Ravenclaws; Terry Boot, Luna Lovegood, and Cho Chang.'
"Alright Ravenclaws, it looks like Luna here has got us our ticket to the restricted section, so let's get to work."
Chapter 5: Part 2
Neville
"Hey guys..." Neville walked into his dorm room, in which Harry, Hermione, and Ron were whispering together.
"Neville! We were just talking about you!" Harry cried
"You... were?"
"Yup, we don't trust those 'demigods', and we need your help keeping an eye on them!" Ron declared.
"I, uh," He was about to say no, but he couldn't help but think about how much danger he would be putting his family in. He took a deep breath.
"Of course, I would love to help."
"That's great! So do you know where they hang out a lot?" Hermione asked
"I, um, heard a rumor that they like to hang out in the kitchens with the house elves." That was a lie.
"Ooooooo, sounds suspicious!" Ron exclaimed.
"I can't wait to find enough evidence to show Dumbledore so we can get them kicked out of Hogwarts!" Harry punched his hand, and Neville paled slightly.
"I, uhhh, I'm going to go do recon..."
"Sounds good!" Ron shouted after him, as Neville ran out of the room.
Neville ran to find Lavender who was flirting with a 5th year Hufflepuff guy in the Great Hall.
"Umm, Lavender can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Neville, what is it! Can't you see I'm in the middle of something." She snapped.
"It's about the project..." Lavender's eyes widened.
"Oh, you mean the Potions project, yup, lets go work on that, don't want to get a bad grade now do we!" She laughed nervously, as she stood up, and grabbed Nevilles arm.
"I'll catch up with you later, Edward!"
"Ummmm... ok Lav."
Lavender dragged Neville to an empty classroom, and her expression immediately turned serious.
"Ok, tell me everything."
Chapter 5: Part 3
Oliver
"Crap. We don't have any water to make a rainbow."
"First, yes we do, and second don't curse in front of the first year."
"Oh, are you mom now Angelina?"
"No, I care more than mom."
Oliver thought on this for a second. "Good point.
Now... does anyone have a source of light?" Oliver turned to the small group of wizard-demigods before him.
Angelina, Alicia, Katie, Pansy, Dennis, and Colin.
"I do!" Dennis cried, before running over to Colin, and hugging him.
Colin's body lit up, and he smiled, as everyone's jaw dropped. "Figured out I could do this last summer, Will helped me."
Oliver cleared his throat. "Well okay then. Thank you Dennis, and thank you Colin. But now if you could come over here, so I can contact Chiron that would be great."
"Sure thing Oliver."
"Iris goddess of the rainbow, please accept this humble offering, and show me Chiron at Camp Halfblood!"
The rainbow shimmered for a second, before showing a Centaur instructing a few younger campers on how to hold a bow correctly.
"Chiron."
"Oh, Oliver, hello, do you need something?"
"Yes, I would like to tell you that everyone arrived at Hogwarts safely, and have taken up their security positions, so much so that I was instructed to contact you, and inform you of this fact."
"That is wonderful, but your face is still grim..."
"Oh, well... yes, there is a slight problem, but we are handling it."
"Oh?"
"A few students are suspicious of the demigods. Right now we only know of three, but we have divided up to keep tabs on those kids in case they try something."
"Hmmmm... that is slightly concerning, but I have full faith in you all, just stay safe, and maintain your cover, at all costs."
"Yes, Chiron of course." Angelina interrupted.
"We do have some good news!" Pansy also interrupted
"Oh?"
"Cedric is putting his name in the Goblet of Fire! He might get picked as Hogwarts's Champion!"
"That is good news, please inform me once the Champion is picked even if it is not Cedric, I, as a diplomat, like to keep tabs on the comings and goings of things of this nature."
"Ummmmm..." No one knew what Chiron had just said.
"Just tell me when, you know who was picked, even if it is not Cedric, I would like to know." He stated plainly, pinching the bridge of his nose.
There were shouts of 'Ok!', 'Sure!', 'So that's what he ment!', and 'No problem Chiron!'.
Chapter 5: Part 4
Cedric
Cedric was scared, no he was terrified. He had told his entire house, everyone at camp, and honestly anyone that would listen that he was going to put his name in the Goblet of Fire.
But that was before he had heard Dumbledore's terrifying speech, the actual Goblet of Fire, and had started reading about the past things that tournament's had included!
But he was going to do this. He was going to make his mom proud. He had never been on a quest before, would she count this? He had fought in two nearly three wars, but he had been with his entire cabin, his camp, his family.
If he agreed to do this he'd be on his own, alone in the arena with whatever the tournament creatures came up with!
No. He would do this, there was a very likely chance he wasn't going to get picked, so what use was it stressing about it!
Ok Cedric you can do this! He mentally chanted that to himself as he walked past the tables, and stood before the age line.
Cedric's birthday had only been a few weeks ago, who the Goblet recognizes him as 16?
He hoped so, if not his was going to be so embarrassing... But he did it, he stepped over the age line, and threw his name into the fire.
'There, you did it Cedric, no going back now...' He thought to himself, as he walked away from the Goblet.
'Now... time to go celebrate with some friends... or... some family.' He smiled at the thought he had really missed everyone from Camp Halfblood.
He had had to leave camp during the middle of the summer to watch the quidditch world cup live with his dad. And with that thought he practically danced out of the hall.
Chapter 5: Part 5
Seamus
Seamus needed to talk to Dumbledore. It was his assignment, and he couldn't blow it! He couldn't blow it, like he always blew it.
Somehow he always seemed to tell everyone their secret. Thankfully he was a very powerful bender of the mist, and almost always fixed, what he messed up… Most of the time... Sometimes Dumbledore had to help him, but Seamus had gotten very good at cleaning up his own messes thank you very much.
Children of Hermes got a very bad rep, and Luke's antics a few years ago, didn't help that rep. Luke wasn't thinking long term, when he did what he did. He just wanted to hurt the gods, not thinking about the other kids at camp, or the mortals, or himself, or what Kronos would do once unleashed.
Luke planned, but he didn't think, those are two very different things, Seamus had learned that the hard way, when he had been briefly been made head counselor during the battle with Gaia, when the Stolls had run off to set the land mines, and Chris had been helping Clarrisse stop the siege of the angry Roman's.
He had made some bad decisions that had resulted in 6 of his cabin mates, getting gravely injured. Thank the gods they all survived thanks to Will Solace from Apollo cabin.
Seamus had just finished his reverie when he bumped into Dumbledore, not literally though, thank the gods for that.
"Ah, Seamus my boy, do you need something?"
"Umm, yes Professor, but can we speak in your office please?"
"Of course, if you could just follow me." A few minutes later they were seated in Dumbledore's office. Over the years Seamus had been in here many times, all of which had been on demigod business thankfully.
"Harry, Hermione, and Ron, are suspicious of the demigods from Camp, we are worried that they will try something, and, or find out our identities and expose us."
"Hmmmmm... this seems like a serious problem indeed, but I assume you already have a plan ready to go, if it is not already being executed by the others?"
"Yes, we were all given our assignment, and things seem to be going well, I can not give you details, but I assure you that we have everything under control. I was just supposed to notify you about this, so that you may keep an eye on them if you wish, sir."
"Thank you, Seamus, I will be sure to keep an eye on the popularly named 'Golden Trio'."
"Of course, sir, I must go meet up with the others, but we will be in touch." And with that Seamus turned around, and walked out of the office.
'Well done, Seamus! You didn't blow it this time!' He mentally congratulated himself. Seamus's stomach grumbled. He remembered that he hadn't grabbed lunch while on his quest for the headmaster. 'Well I have sometime before I meet up with the others in the Room of Requirement, might as well grab lunch.'
Chapter 5: Part 6
Dean
Dean had gotten the easy job. He didn't need to find Dumbledore, or contact Chiron, or even play spy!
He got to hang out with his demigod brethren, and just tell them that Draco, and Marcus were going to come over, and pretend to be mean to them!
Didn't go as well as he planned in his head…
"What do you mean Marcus, and Draco are going to come over and pretend to bully us?" Nico growled.
"I, uhhh... We'll have this plan... and we..."
"Spit it out short stuff..." Clarisse rolled her eyes.
"Ok, Imma start from the beginning."
"That sounds like a good idea." Katie patted his shoulder.
"As you know the Demigods of Hogwarts have a weekly meeting by the Black Lake to hang out, and practice our fighting skills.
One of them was last night. At that time we realized Neville was late, less than a minute after we realized he was missing he came running from the castle to tell us that Harry, Hermione, and Ron were suspicious of you guys."
"So? What do I care if a few kids don't like me? Plenty of people don't like me." Thalia shrugged.
"We'll... no... The Golden Trio, which is their group name."
"That's a stupid name." Percy blurted out.
"Yeah it is, but when these kids don't like you, they do something about it.
But they're never in the wrong, just ask the Slytherins. Sure Draco, and Marcus, and Pansy have to be mean to them for they're covers, but they're entire house gets back lash! Those three never get repercussions.
The Slytherins were nothing more than another house before The Golden Trio came along, but now they're enemy number one! Even the good Slytherins get bullied because they're Slytherins! Harry, Hermione, and Ron turned the entire school against them!
They even swayed some of the teachers! So when I say that you don't want to get on they're bad side I mean it..." A lot of the demigods look either angry or horrified at the injustice, and unfairness of the situation.
"So we have a plan. Neville is going to miss, lead them, while Draco and Marcus convince them you're not a threat by bullying you.
The Golden Trio can't stand to agree with Slytherins.
The others are also doing things like informing Chiron, and Dumbledore."
"Sounds like a sound plan, proceed." Jason shook Dean's hand, as everyone else nodded in agreement.
"May I ask who came up with this plan Dean?" Reyna stepped forwards.
"Surprisingly Lavender, and even more surprisingly not Luna." Everyone's jaw dropped at the fact that Lavender had orchestrated this plan.
"I have to go now, but stay safe you guys, and don't worry about the Golden Trio problem, we got it covered!" He shouted back as he ran to meet up with everyone else.
While Dean was running to the Room of Requirement he thought about that that didn't go the best it could've, but it certainly didn't go the worst it could've. Definitely not.
Chapter 5: Part 7
Draco
Draco didn't want to do this, he really didn't want to do this! But he was going to. He was going to go bully his family, to protect them, it was the only way.
He had been given the second most important job, seconded only to Neville who was going to be there inside man, they're spy.
The thought of Neville being any kind of spy was hilarious, but he didn' have time to laugh about that now. With Marcus at his side he was ready to strid into the Great Hall with pride, and bully the Hades out of his closest family.
He was about to push open the doors to face the music, when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Draco, are you sure you're going to be able to do this?"
"Yes, Marcus, I'm sure. The more I think about it, the more confident I am that this is the only way to protect them, I just have to keep reminding myself of that fact..."
"Ok, we only have to dish out a few insults, then we can leave you know that, then you can go apologize tonight, or beg for their forgiveness, or cry into a pillow for hours, whatever you plan to do!"
"What about you? You'll be cursing your family out too, you know."
"Oh, I know, I'm preparing for Clarisse to beat me up later, oh, don't worry, I'm preparing." That made Draco crack a smile.
"What'd you say Dragon, ready to go face the music?"
"Yeah, I think I am." Draco put a mask of the composer on his face, and threw open the doors of the hall.
The doors slammed into the walls of Hogwarts, making everyone jump out of their skins in the process.
He strode over to the demigods, sneer already plastered on his face.
"Oy, Halfblood freaks, what do you think you're doing sitting at our table." Marcus barked a laugh behind him.
"Halfblood freaks! Unlike you a lot we're purebloods! You have no right sitting at the table designated for those chosen by Salazar Slytherin." Draco had to hold back a wince at his friend's words.
"What's wrong with your hair halfblood, use too much hair gel this morning!" Draco taunted Thalia.
"And you, you don't seem to even know how to use hair gel!" Marcus taunted Percy.
"His hair looks kind of like Potters doesn't it Malfoy."
"I agree entirely, but you shouldn't expect much more from filthy half breeds." Draco snarled trying to hold back tears at the upset looks on his friends faces.
Annabeth had stepped in front of Percy protectively, a glare fixed on her face aimed at Draco. It was enough to make the poor boy wish that he hadn't come to Hogwarts this year.
"We don't need your protection, you half blood, so go back where you came from!" Marcus shouted.
"I bet they were too chicken to compete themselves, so they decided to 'protect us'. What wimps!" Draco saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron glaring at him from the other side of the hall, and knew he had done his job.
He moved his fingers slightly, just grasing Marcus's arm, but it was enough to let him know that it was time to go.
"I am so done here, let's go before we get contaminated by any more half-breed Draco."
"I couldn't agree more." Draconis stated, as they strode out of the hall with their heads held high.
But what no one except Marcus saw was a single tear escape Draco's left eye. It stayed the only tear until they were a few corridors away, then Draco let the tears flow freely for what he had just said, and how they had reacted, Draco continued to cry until it was time to go meet the others in the Room of Requirement.
A/N: I hope you all enjoyed this latest chapter! I have 2 ideas for the future of this story, and I would like you all to tell me which you like better! I will keep a tally, this is open until I write the chapter, which will be I don't know next month mabye?
Idea 1: If Cedric dies then both camps will wadge war on Voldemorts army, and the war probably won't last past the end of Harry's 6th year, he and Hermione, and Ron also won't do much. The demigods will find, and destroy the horcruxes. Mostly people wont die. Battle of Hogwarts takes place but on a grander scale. Sirius doesn't die, Fed doesn't die, Mad Eye doesn't die, Tonks doesn't die, Colin doesn't die, Dobby doesn't die, Lavender doesn't die, Dumbledore doesn't die, Snape doesn't die, Crabbe doesn't die, and Remus doesn't die. Percy Weasley doesn't leave his family. Umbridge doesn't exist, everyone knows Voldemort's back.
Idea 2: Cedric doesn't die. The demigods of Hogwarts try to get the Camps to fight, but they wont wadge war for no reason, so the demigods of Hogwarts leave to find the horcruxes, mabye one or two of them die in the search. Harry and co again don't do much, and are stuffed nicely away in a safe house somewhere. Same people as above don't die. Battle of Hogwarts does not take place. Percy Weasley doesn't leave his family. Umbridge doesn't exist, everyone knows Voldemort's back.
Let me know which in the comments pls. Also tell me if you want this to all be in the same book, or if you want this to be made into seperate stories. Also let me know which part was your favorite, mine was Part 7. Bye! - dragon628
