Chapter 8

Cedric POV

"Welcome one and all to the choosing of the Triwizard champions!" Dumbledore's voice rang out through the hall.

Everyone cheered as Dumbledore walked over to the Goblet of Fire.

"The Champion for Durmstrang Institution for Young Witches and Wizards is... Vicktor Krum!" All of Dumstrangs students cheered as Krum strutted into the Champions room.

"Now, The Champion for Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is... Fleur Delecour!" Fleur gracefully got up, hugged her sister, and all but skipped into the Champions room.

"Finally, The Champion for Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry is... Cedric Diggory!" Oh no.

This is... oh no...

As Cedric got up, he quickly walked into the Champions room.

Get a hold of yourself Diggory! You're a freaking D.E.M.I.G.O.D this can't be as bad as having to face a division of Kronos's army head on, with no one except your siblings for support! Could it? It couldn't be as bad as watching Selina get her face burned off, and die! Right? Oh, shut up, self!

As Cedric sat down on a couch he realized that both Krum, and Delecour were staring at him.

"It's going to be a while until the teachers come in..."

Yeah, obviously. What did Krum want?

"Yes, 'i'll be. In the 'ean time 'i could 'talk about... 'amp." Fleur whipped her head around like looking for a way that she could have been heard. What? Wait...

"Fleur Delecour?! Daughter of Bellona!?!?" She nodded.

"Vicktor Krum!?!? Son of Mars!?!?" He smiled.

How had Cedric not seen it before!? These two were part of the Roman group that stayed at Camp Halfblood for a few months after the battle to help rebuild, and build! How could he have been so stupid?!

"Wait... since we're all demigods, and we're all competing... isn't this kind of... cheating?"

They shook their heads.

"No, not really. We 're all de'ig'ds, an' we 'haven't 'inherited any 'powers from our 'parents... Unless you've 'inherited 'arm 'ek 'om 'ur 'other?"

Cedric shook his head, he had not, sadly.

Ten minutes later the door to the room opened. The three champions immediately stopped talking about Half Blood matters, and started to act like they had been sitting in silence for the past while.

"Alright champions!" Ludo Bagman put his hands together, and smiled wickedly. "Let's talk."
