Back with another chapter, not gonna say too much aside from the responses to reviews now being on top instead of below, and also the fact that this chapter has no omake, cause I felt like it wouldn't fit, but I'm glad you guys enjoyed the last one.

Reviews:

kakaroto10000: Noice

Arclight01: Nope, Hatsu and Semblance are completely different. With a Hatsu, you basically make the ability yourself and place limitations and conditions on it for it to work. While a Semblance it's more of a random ability that may or may not have a bad effect on you which just needs aura to run. Like Qrow's bad luck for example.

Asasyn13: Thanks! And was it soon enough? xd

suppes1: Well here it is xp

Moises Garcia Jimenez: Byotifol

Magi Mari: Of course, I can't just go ahead and say Ryver can do this or that just like that. He's gotta work for it. Sadly, it'll be some time until he meets the main cast, and no, I'm not pairing with Vernal or anyone at the moment in fact. Not really sure who I want to pair him with or if I even am, but I'm sure I'll come to me eventually. (Still laughing at the fact you said that Vernal has a yee yee ass haircut xd)

Adam Hazard: Yeah, he's a little shit isn't he?

Guest: Yeah I worded that wrongly the last chapter, Ryver can use Susanoo for 15 minutes in a day not 15 continuous minutes a day. My bad :p

Now on to the chapter, hope ye enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY or any of the other elements I've taken from other shows, all of them belong to their respective owners.

"Remind me again, why I had to join you?" Ryver said, now fitted with his mask and a black cloak.

"I would have had Vernal join me instead, but seeing as how you put her out of commission earlier today, you'll have to take her place." Raven said flatly as they circled the Haemon's camp from the treetops.

"Righttt..." The boy said dryly as he recalled their discussion earlier. "I don't know what gave Raven the good idea of giving me the honors of lopping off the head of Haemon's leader. I would have thought she'd want to be the one who killed the bastard who was denying her the supplies she needed." Ryver's gaze lowered. "This is going to be the first time I'll be killing someone..." He shook his head. "No, there's no sense in it. In a fantasy world like this, it's killed or be killed."

"We'll split up here, remember the plan." Raven disappeared in a flash as Ryver nodded, blinking into the shadows.

The plan was simple, Raven headed towards to the front to silently dispatch some of the Haemon's men, while Ryver snuck back to kill the leader with the invisibly semblance. It was a case of better said then done.

Sneaking behind the tents, Ryver used In and En to make sure he was less detectable, while being able to sense where some of the tribesmen were.

"I'm feeling a little hungry, want to get some supper?" A man spoke.

"You're always hungry," Another man snickered. "But, I wouldn't mind going for another bite. You think the boss will be fine if we ate you know what?"

Ryver couldn't help but sigh. Those gluttons reminded him of some people back at camp. He headed for the biggest tent, which he assumed belong to the leader. However, on his way there he couldn't help but notice that the Haemon's had cages filled with prisoners.

It reminded him of the time he woke up in Raven's cage, the difference being that these prisoners weren't given the chance that he was. They were beaten, bloodied, bandaged. Ryver couldn't help but wonder what in God's name the Haemons kept them here for. His thoughts jumped to the idea of 'pleasure', but quickly denied it, seeing as the prisoners were missing a limb or two.

The boy felt his fist unconsciously clench as he quickly shook his thoughts away. There was something important he had to do.

Making his way to the back of the tent, he snuck in with little to no sound. Ryver scanned the room, spotting a man sitting in the middle with his back faced to him. His hand fell to his sword as he began to channel aura into his legs.

"You took longer than expected. I expected Raven herself to do the deed, but I can see she puts faith in you. How stupid."

Ryver's eyes immediately widened at the fact that he had been caught. He was pretty sure he did everything as silently possible, so how?

"Ah, I guess you're a little shook up by how I managed to catch you, no?" The leader snickered. "Well, unlike a certain someone, I always have people watching my back."

Feeling his senses pulsate, Ryver quickly drew his sword to block an invisible attack. The boy managed to parry one away, while swiftly kicking another attempt down. His eyes scanned the room once more as he focused on using En to sense the attackers.

"Hmm, I suppose I can see why she has put her faith in you." The man finally turned around to look at Ryver. "You must be somewhat special, if she has gone out of her way to train you."

Ryver narrowed his eyes as his other hand slowly neared his glock. He didn't know what the Haemon leader was trying to do, but he wasn't here for a chat.

"Oh, where are my manners? I'm Vlad, Vlad Haemon. And you are?" The now named Vlad gestured his hand towards the boy with an off smile.

"What a fitting name." The boy mused as he scowled. Whipping his glock forward he took one shot only for it to be deflected.

"Well, she certainly hasn't thought you manners that's for sure, not that she has any either." Vlad frowned a little, irking the boy.

"And you don't have a sense for danger." The boy instantly shot forward with his blade ready to slash, but failed as the man had visibly disappeared, his blade colliding with another; presumably one of his invisible men. This was starting to get annoying.

"So he speaks. I had come to the assumption that you were a mute, but clearly I was wrong. And I can assure you I do. It's just that you don't seemingly pose any to me." Vlad's voice echoed as Ryver tried to locate him with En.

However, his attention was diverted as he had to block attacks from all sides. Ryver grunted being pushed back. He tried using Gyo to see if he could see through the semblance but to no avail.

"Seeing as Raven has took it upon herself to personally train you, it definitely has peaked my interest. You must be more promising of a fighter than that girl she usually has by her side."

Ryver felt his eyebrow raise as he parried and blocked more attacks. "Who the fuck even is this guy? Raven must have dealt with him before in canon, but why can't I help but feel uneasy?"

"She must have not told you about us. Although, I can see why. She does disagree with how we Haemons work, having declined my proposal of an alliance."

"Where the hells are you getting at?" Ryver growled being hit by a few strikes he couldn't block in time.

"My, my, impatient aren't you?" Ryver swung in front of him while firing a few shots at where he sensed movement. "Feisty too. I'm sure you've noticed some of the prisoners I have around. I bet you've wondered what I have them for too."

Ryver did his best to fight off all the invisible men Vlad had deployed in his quarters, but found it difficult as the number of movement he sensed kept increasing as time passed.

"This son of a bitch is really getting annoying. Where the hell is he going with this bullshit?"

"You see," Ryver's eyes widened again, feeling his wrist being grabbed in his struggle as Vlad appeared, his face close to his ear. "We're cannibals."

*BOOM*

The boy's head snapped in shock as he was blasted out of the tent. Swiftly catching himself, Ryver noticed Raven in the distance fighting off some of the invisible tribesmen as well.

"They knew we were here from the start." Ryver thought before his mind quickly recalled what Vlad had said to him before he flew out of his tent. 'We're cannibals.'

Ryver instinctively cupped his hand over his mask where his mouth was. He finally knew what the prisoners were for. He scanned the camp again noticing that most of them were limbless and lifeless. His eyes twitched with disgust as he fought back the urge to empty his stomach.

"I can't help but wonder what kind of expression you have behind that mask of yours." Vlad said with a sick smile. "Disgust? Horror? Terror? Just thinking about it makes me excited. How about we pry that mask off and see?"

Holding back his disgust, Ryver dodged a frontal attack but was caught off guard due to his shock. He was sent down to the ground as his sword was kicked away from him. Vlad grabbed him off the ground, punching the boy in the face.

Ryver flew back catching himself again. His hand reached to where his glock was, only to find it to be not there. He had forgotten that he had lost it when he was thrown out of the tent. The boy grit his teeth unleashing Ren. Ryver would have loved to test out his Susanoo here, but with his current panciked/shocked state and the fact that he still couldn't properly use it, it was out of bounds.

He frantically scanned the area but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see nor block all of the incoming attacks. Ryver immediately used Ken, but was still assaulted with a barrage of strikes.

"You won't be able to beat us." Hearing Vlad's provoke, Ryver growled aggravated. "Because," The boy fell forward with a kick to his back. He swung his leg backwards only to hit the air. "no matter how hard you try." Being grabbed behind, Ryver was swung upwards before feeling a heavy blow to his abdomen, knocking the air out of his lungs. He fell to the ground once more, feeling his collar being gripped as Vlad showed himself once more. "We're just too strong." The man reeled his fist back punching Ryver again.

*CRACK*

*CRASH*

The mask on Ryver's face cracked enough to reveal an eye and his expression as his back smashed into the bars of a cage. "GAH-!" Winding back in pain, Ryver froze as his eyes met a familiar lilac sight. His body twitched instantly recognizing the people inside the cage.

It was the lilac twins from Kousa. Their eyes were dull and lacked life. They were still breathing, but in a low tone. The boy was missing a leg, an eye and some fingers. The girl was beaten with marks that scarred her skin, she wasn't missing any body parts but her hands held her body as though as she had been violated. The sight of them made Ryver revolt in horror as he felt something creep up at the back of his throat. It was a sickening sight, but it paled in comparison to what was in the middle of the cage. Placed there as if to taunt and torment the twins of their eventual fate, was the head of their uncle; the huntsman that Ryver had fought, stuck on his own weapon to stare back at them. It was half decomposed with flies swarming around it.

"Ah, could it be that you know them by chance?" Ryver's turned around petrified as his eyes met Vlad's sinister grin. "That expression, how lovely."

Using the boy's own weapon, Vlad placed the tip of the blade on Ryver's neck. "I enjoy feasting on them. It surprised me when I ate their uncle, his meat was so sweet and ever so succulent. The boy is too. I can still remember the look of horror and terror in their faces as I ate parts of their uncle in front of them." The man's face contorted into another sickening grin as he recalled the events. "Even their expressions when I fed them their own uncle was sublime! Oh how it pleased me when the boy spat back. I ate his eye for that one."

Ryver felt guilt and all sorts of feelings he hadn't felt before. He looked on in utter shock. "You did this to them." The boy heard his own voice; but distorted, echo in his head. A 'copy' of him waved his hand in a disappointing way.

"As much as I want to see how the girl tastes, I can't possibly devour them all at once. I have to enjoy them slowly after all, besides some of my men were seeking out some way of pleasure." Ryver twitched again at Vlad's words. "I must say, I was extraordinarily lucky to have come upon them. Their uncle was pretty weakened from recovering from a recent fight, made it easier to capture them. Perhaps, was that your doing?" Vlad pushed Ryver's chin up as the boy tensed at the comment.

"Because you fought that huntsman."

"Oh! So you were responsible for him being that way! To think I'd meet the person who was the one who helped land me such a catch. Well boy, I must express my utmost gratitude to you."

"Because you helped with bringing in the Grimm."

"Say, I have a great idea!" Vlad retracted the blade as he grabbed Ryver's chin and looked into his mortified eyes. "Why don't you join us instead? I'm sure you'll help us catch more delicious people to feast on! It's not so bad here you know." The man exclaimed extending his free arm, looking above. "But then again, I do want to know how you taste." Vlad licked his lips, horrifying the trembling boy even more.

"Because of you, they suffered a fate worse than death."

"I-"

"Because of your selfish desire to live, you condemned them to this horror."

"No-"

"Because of you, they'll always only be a husk of who they were."

"You're wrong-"

Ryver was devastated, he had suppressed all of his guilt, choosing to ignore it every time it rose up to trouble him. He did his best to cope with the fact that he inadvertently caused the death of others, that he did this so he could see another day. But seeing the outcome he had helped cause struck him harder than he had ever imagined. The boy grabbed his head trying to deny the distorted voice tormenting him in his head. He shook his head in denial, in guilt, in horror. His breathing started becoming more ragged and short winded.

"Oh, are you afraid perhaps?" Vlad laughed. "Although, the word 'afraid' may be an understatement."

Words swarmed his head as he tried to deny his copy's accusations.

"You did this to them." "It's your fault." "Because of you." "Because of your selfishness." "Because you took part." "You killed them." "You doomed them."

"NO YOU'RE WRONG!"

"LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO THEM!" "YOU KILLED THEM!"

"SHUT UP! SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU'RE WRONG!"

"IT'S YOUR FAULT!" "YOU DOOMED THEM!" "KILLED THEM!"

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT! IT'S THIERS!"

"DENY IT ALL YOU WANT! YOU KNOW WHO'S RESPONSIBLE!"

"YOU'RE WRONG!"

"YOU WILLINGLY FOUGHT HIM REMEMBER? YOU COULD HAVE WALKED AWAY, BUT YOU DIDN'T!"

"No, you're wrong! I was just doing what I was told!"

The copy grabbed Ryver's collar, smashing his head against his. Red eyes glared back into the boy's own blue pair as his breathing became more and more heavy.

"DOING WHAT YOU WERE TOLD? WHAT KIND OF PATHETIC EXCUSE IS THAT?! WE BOTH KNOW YOU DID IT WILLINGLY! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW DO YOU? THAT YOU ENJOY FIGHTING!"

"..."

"YOU'VE FELT IT HAVEN'T YOU? THAT STRANGE FEELING EVER SINCE KOUSA. YOU ENJOY THE KILLING OF MEN!"

The copy threw the horrified boy down bearing a grin. Ryver felt his eyes widen again, placing his hand over his chest shakily.

"Don't even try to deny it. You know deep down inside it's true. You're the same as them. So do what you enjoy. Kill them all."

The copy's eyes blazed red as Ryver found his surroundings turn black.

The man noticed the boy's rambling as he shook his head. Vlad's eye raised as he got a closer to hear the boy.

"I..."

Vlad tilted his head in confusion as the boy started becoming louder.

"I...enjoy it?.."

Feeling a burst of aura, Vlad jolted back before seeing that the boy's eye had changed from a light blue to a blood red crimson color. The Haemon stood in shock and confusion as the boy got up, his hands now hanging on the side.

"I enjoy it...so...I'll kill them."

Ryver said as his eyes flared crimson and in an instant from nowhere blades rained upon the area striking and stabbing some of the men that were caught off guard by his sudden outburst, deeming them unmovable.

Vlad jumped back and turned invisible. Together with the other men that were lucky to avoid the falling blades, they quickly surrounded and readied themselves to beat the boy in front of them.

One of them leaped in first with his weapon held high to strike down. But before he could hit him, Ryver blinked behind the man with a visible violet flash as a golden sword manifested in his hand. Just as quick as he had teleported behind the man, Ryver was as swift as to slice through the man's aura and torso.

Blood sprayed from the man who was now in half, falling onto Ryver's mask and hair. The rest who were about to go in froze at the sight of the boy being able to strike and kill one of their comrades with such ease.

Now, it was their turn to fear. The moment any of them took a single step forward, Ryver would abruptly appear behind them with a violet flash before cutting them clean in half. When one of them tried to pick up of the blades that had appeared earlier, they found that it was firmly stuck and again, in a flash Ryver teleported in front of them with a hand on the blade they tried to take and promptly sliced them apart.

Horrified, the men started to slowly back off, knowing that this time, the invisibility was no longer effective and the negative emotions that radiated out of the boy would surely attract the Grimm in no time. Vlad grimaced annoyed with his men.

"There's nothing to be afraid of! Just charge at him all at once!" Vlad shouted as his men did as he commanded. No matter how fast the boy may be, he definitely couldn't handle all of them at once.

But to their utter surprise, Ryver threw his blade in the air while all the blades from earlier disappeared. Blinking upwards to the thrown sword, Ryver raised his hand and brought it down, the blades reappearing once more to descend upon the poor bandits, as he himself spun downwards the ground.

*DOOOOOOONNN*

Having predicted the sudden danger, Vlad backed off just in time narrowly escaping Ryver's wrath. His men however weren't so lucky. Some were impaled, had their limbs cut off trying to escape, or being smashed into a gooey paste.

The Haemon leader looked in devastation by the carnage the boy had brought upon them. Feeling fear, his semblance started flickering revealing his location to the boy. Eerily, Ryver turned his dull eyes to the man as he started walking towards him slowly.

Raven made her way to the front of the camp. Although, the woman would have loved to cut off Vlad's head herself, she deemed that it was necessary for Ryver to actual have had killed someone. If the same senseless guilt he had form from his first raid resurfaced, she'd have to teach him the hard way to deal with those thoughts.

Raven crept inside one of the tents, swiftly killing the occupant inside. Having successfully done this, she prepared to move to the next tent when she was hit by something she couldn't see.

"Pesky semblance." The woman thought as she focused her senses to her surroundings. As expected of someone with her abilities, Raven was able to block the attack while striking back herself.

However, with more and more people interfering, Raven was pushed out of the tent and into the open. The men she had saw earlier had now disappeared, presumably now invisible. "That idiot better get this done quickly."

Scowling at the fact that she was actually struggling with chumps, Raven swiftly slashed her way through the waves of invisible men, being pushed back every now and then. It carried on for awhile until Raven saw Ryver fly out of Vlad's tent.

Irritated, Raven tried to push through but found herself stopped by arrows and rounds of dust. The bandit queen did her best to sweep the rest of the remaining Haemons but with all the arrows and bullets flying her way, she couldn't get anywhere near Ryver.

All of a sudden a boom erupted and Raven snapped her head to the where Ryver was. "What the hells?" Before Raven or anyone else near her could do anything a rain of swords fell on them. Swiftly dodging the blades, the woman returned her gaze to her 'apprentice'.

The boy was blinking no, warping around cleaving men in half with his eyes now flaring red. "Is that, his semblance?" Raven asked herself before another arrow flew her way. "Tsk, annoying." Shooting forwards once more, the woman had exactly pinpointed where the shooter was, striking them down. At the moment she was wondering with a hint of concern of what had happened for Ryver to awaken his semblance. But right now, she had to get rid of the people in her way.

Raven grinned at the sight of the enemies invisibility blinking. "The brat's finally doing something right." Swiftly and quickly, Raven dispatched the shocked bandits finally free to see what had occurred at the back of the camp.

Finally having made her way to the boy, Raven looked on in a mixture of awe and shock at the sight in front of her. Bloody bodies severed in half surrounded Ryver, the boy himself now soaked in their blood. His exposed eye was dull yet filled with wrath. What the hell had happened here when she was dealing with the front of the tribe?

"W-wait! Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot. How about we forget everything that's transpired here shall we?" Vlad pleaded backing off but to no avail. Ryver showed no signs of stopping.

Making a break for it, Vlad turned to sprint away only for one of his legs to be sliced off. So much for the big talk he had going earlier.

"AGHHHHH!" The man fell screaming in pain as his hand held his new stump. "P-PLEASE! I'LL DO ANYTHING! I'LL STOP EATING OTHER PEOPLE, SO PLEASE SPARE ME!" Vlad became frantic having severely thought that the boy had poised no threat to him and his men.

Ryver grabbed the Haemon by the throat, lifting him off the ground. Vlad widened his eyes in horror seeing the boy who was trembling just a moment ago now bearing a sinister grin of his own. The man struggled as hard as he could, but no matter how much he tried, the boy's grip was unyielding. Bringing the golden sword up, Ryver swung down in a swift motion.

*GROWL*

Pouncing from the shadows, an Ursa appeared stopping the boy momentarily. "You're in the way." Warping beside the Ursa as it missed it's target, Ryver formed a buster sword, bringing it down on the Grimm. Having been dropped onto the floor, the one legged man tried crawling away but was pulled back.

Facing the terrified Haemon, the huge blade in Ryver's hand disappeared only to be replaced with a familiar sword mace. Gripping the handle with both hands, he raised it into the air while using Ryu and Shu to focus almost all of his aura into the weapon. "NO-!" Bringing his hands up as if it could save him, the man who was the Haemon tribe's leader was smashed in, creating a large crater while spilling his blood around.

Raven who had watched in utter surprise blinked back to life as the Grimm had started swarming the camp. They had already began catching and ravaging the remaining Haemon's. In other words, they had to get out, now.

Turning back to the boy, he was still swinging his weapon at anything that was in his line of sight. Be it a panicked bandit, an alpha Beowolf or an Ursa, they were all cleaved in half.

"Brat, we're getting out of here!" Raven shouted which caught the attention of Ryver, who eyed her with no expression. Realizing who it was, another grin formed on the boy's face, manifesting and throwing a blade at the woman.

Raven's eye's widened as she quickly swung her own blade to strike it away but was pushed back when the boy had teleported to the flying sword. The woman stumbled back as Ryver spun around for another slash. Parrying the strike, anger filled Raven's eyes. "What do you think you're doing?" The woman spat with venom only to be given a chuckle.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm fighting."

Warping behind her, Ryver spun for another slash meeting with Raven's blade. Pushing back against each other, the boy grinned once more, stepping back as another Grimm interrupted him. Angered and annoyed by the fact that she had to fight Ryver and the Grimm, Raven decided enough was enough. As annoying as his newly unlocked semblance was, the woman was able to predict his moves the more he used it.

Ryver blinked to her right, which she parried easily enough before swiftly turning her head to her left where he warped to next. The woman's hand latched out rapidly to firmly grab the boy's left wrist, quickly swapping her blade into a reverse grip and ramming it's handle into Ryver's face with full force.

His head flew back in recoil as he felt a strong grip around his neck, throwing his body onto the ground. Having the wind knocked out of his lungs, Ryver gasped. Not letting him catch a single breath, Raven pulled the boy back up to slam her head into his. "Snap out of it, brat!"

The boy's aura flickered, falling back to the ground. He let out a pained groan as his eyes finally turned back to their usual blue hue. "Ugh...what...happened?..." Ryver clutched his head, the woman standing in front of him let out a brief sigh before growling. "I should the one asking that. What in Gods name happened back there?"

Recovering from the concussion Raven had gave him, Ryver quickly recalled the events that led up to this point. As he looked around, the boy noticed the carnage he had left in his wake. "Did...did...I do this?" His voice trembled as did his body.

"You don't remember what you did?" Raven raised an eyebrow momentarily slashing to their side where a beowolf had lunged from.

"I-" Ryver shook his head as his eyes widened, remembering what he had witnessed before everything went ablur. Finally ripping his mask off, Ryver emptied his stomach all over the ground. Raven looked away from the boy to deal with the Grimm that was attracted to his negativity.

Maybe she should have told him about what the Haemon's were, like Vernal had pondered earlier. The boy's reaction to realizing they were up against cannibals was understandable but was that what caused him to go ape shit? The woman shook her head in denial. It was definitely something else.

Scanning the area while dealing with whatever Grimm deciding to run her way, Raven spotted and recognized the lilac duo along with the head inside with them. Her eyes narrowed and she snarled. "The idiot blamed himself for them." The woman thought, rubbing where her temple was.

She had told him to quench his guilt that day, but perhaps just telling him to do so wasn't enough. Clearly, Ryver had just pushed the feeling away and let it build up to this moment.

"We're leaving." Raven growled grabbing Ryver's collar.

To her surprise, she felt her hand being slapped away while the boy tried to make his way to the cage that held the twins.

"Where do you think you're going?" Her voiced growled out again with more heat as she yanked the boy's wrist back. "It's my fault they're here." He voiced with guilt, "The least I can do is help them out of here." Ryver tired to rid his hand of the woman's grip only for it to tighten.

"The only people here at fault is them themselves. They were way too weak and got caught. It has nothing to do with you." Raven was practically glaring at him right now, but the boy couldn't believe what he heard. As mentally unstable as he currently was, he didn't want to deal with Raven's retarded logic.

"I'm the reason they even ended up in this situation anyways. Maybe I'm a stupid idiot for wanting to help them. But I sure as hells won't shove the blame to another person and run away from the problem I made." Ryver growled back causing his 'mentor' to twitch in anger. He had struck a string and Raven was no longer going to tolerate his bullshit.

Smashing her head into the boy's once more, the woman snapped, "Against my better judgement, I let you run that loose mouth of yours. Against my better judgement, I let myself loosen up around you. Against my better judgement, I let your growth blind me. Clearly, my words didn't get through that head of yours. And clearly, you forget where you stand."

Ryver grit his teeth as Raven dealt with another Grimm trying to interfere with their 'talk'.

"Maybe it's because you're quite fucked in the head in your own way. But one doesn't just get over something like that. One doesn't get over the fact that they helped with the demise of the lives of people minding their own business. That's like telling a kid to disregard the fact that their entire family was slaughtered right in front of them and act as if nothing happened. You don't just deal with a situation like that in a day or months even." He rammed his own head against hers in return, causing a trickle of blood to slide down his forehead. "You may talk all big, but just because you have power, it doesn't make you strong. Under all that bravado, you're just as much of a coward as everyone else."

"Who do you think you are lecturing me?! A weak coward like you-!"

"I may be weak and I may be a fucking coward, but I'm not going to run away from something that'll slowly eat me up. I'd be lying if I said I'm not shaking at the fact that you can decapitate me any second now. But just because I'm weak and scared doesn't mean I'll run away with my tail between my legs when a situation shows even the slightest signs of a rise in danger. I might have been shaken when I first met you, I won't lie, and I might have said 'I'd do anything to live' just because I somehow knew it would raise your view on me ever so slightly. I might get myself killed because I'm too damned stubborn to get out of the danger I make or draw to myself. Call it a matter of pride, but I rather die a fucking idiot trying my damned best than a fucking coward who ran away!"

His eyes blazed red again but felt Raven's fist drive into his stomach. He gasped for air, thinking he had made Raven fully snap which in turn meant the end of him. Instead, the grip on his collar loosened slightly as the woman clenched her other fist. Did, did he just somehow win an argument against Raven? Ryver heard the woman's tongue click before his vision cut to black for the second time this night.

Raven who was fuming with anger and maybe a hint of doubt, sucked her breath in and quickly left the overrun place with an unconscious Ryver over her shoulder. In the heat of their short argument, the boy had hit all sorts of strings. It brought up uncomfortable memories, so much so, that Raven almost did decapitate him. But some of the things he said had hit harder than she had thought.

"Under all that bravado, you're just as much of a coward as everyone else."

"I'm not going to run away from something that'll slowly eat me up."

"I rather die a fucking idiot trying my damned best than a fucking coward who ran away."

Instantly her thoughts went to the choices she made throughout the past years. Abandoning her duties as a huntress, her family, her daughter. The reason why she ran away. The internal fear that drove her to such choices.

Raven grit her teeth and pushed the memories back down from where the arose from. She wasn't going to let a mere brat bring her down like that. No, there was no way she would falter from his words. If anything, she'd harden herself further.

Oh, what a hypocrite you are Raven. You didn't think it was going to be that easy and fast for Raven to break did you? That shit ain't happening this early. It'll take way more time than that to crack Raven.

If any of you are wondering why Ryver went from being riddled with guilt to wanting to get the twins outs. You could say that he was trying to justify to himself that even though he is at fault for them being here, he'd at least try to somewhat right his wrongs. Just to tell himself that although he was basically slowly becoming the same as a murderer, he'd do something that they normally wouldn't. That and a lot of adrenaline. And if any of you are also wondering how Vlad's invisibility works, he can basically apply the affects of his semblance to specific people he has marked; sort of like Raven's semblance. It takes a lot of concentration but he's obviously trained it so that he can use it with ease. The reason why Raven could see bullets and arrows fly her way is because the invisibility only applies to the marked person and whatever their holding, if they were to fire or throw something, it'll immediately be revealed. That an Raven can be a badass.

I'm not sure if any of you have noticed but I got the motif/idea for Ryver's semblance from FF15's Armiger/Phantom Swords and warp/shift. Initially I thought of a Creation semblance, but then quickly canned it seeing how overpowered it could be and making Conjuration in the Nen-type tree pretty much inferior. Then it led me thinking if he could just make swords appear out of thin air to use and that got me to thinking of Armiger and warping, and here we are now.

First an op Hatsu and now an op semblance? They might look like that but they obviously have major drawbacks. It might not have shown in this chapter what with the going ape shit and unstable mind, but I can assure you if Ryver tried to do this again, normally, he'd see himself bed ridden from overexerting it. I won't go into too much details since I'll expand more on it in upcoming chapters, so I'll leave it at that.
