Tumblr prompt: Character A tries to send a sexy snap to character B to remind them of them. it accidentally goes to character C instead.
At least the surgery they are performing is not very complicated.
That's what Meredith thinks, at least, as she watches the smooth way that Addison's hands manipulate the surgical instruments, and the commanding tone that makes everybody listen, and how she teaches.
She really teaches like she cares about people, and Meredith loves that about her.
Wait, love.
Meredith didn't mean to think about that word. Not about Addison, not about anybody else. Nope. Not happening. Not possible. Nope!
Addison can feel Meredith eyeing her still.
She can tell that Meredith is admiring her, and smiling at her, and it's confusing Addison.
She has to figure this out, she has so many feelings already. Feelings she never expected to have for somebody who drives her so crazy.
Meredith is asking to help, and Addison lets her, and now she's the one watching.
Watching, admiring, and appreciating. Need she go on?
Once the surgery is over, Meredith heads to the locker room and gives Addison a shy smile before she parts ways with her.
And then she checks her phone instinctively even though Addison was just with her.
So there are no new messages yet, until she does get a Snapchat from Addison saying "surgical success," with a proud smile.
"Congratulations," says Meredith before she's smiling like an idiot.
"Seriously Mer, you've got an addiction," Cristina rolls her eyes at Meredith, and Meredith just sticks her tongue out at her.
Addison sends a Snapchat message the moment she's out of surgery, and she's very pleased to get a response right back.
"Of course Adds, you're super successful," Addison smiles when she gets this response back.
She can't keep going like this though; she can't keep talking to Mark when she's crushing on Meredith. She can't keep leading her on like this.
"Look, it's been super nice but I have to confess something…" Addison messages, and she takes a deep breath before she types the second part of her sentence.
"I'm falling in love with a woman," Addison presses 'send,' before she can overthink it.
"Mer, cut the crap, why are you swooning at your phone like that?" Cristina teases her.
"Not now Cristina, she was just telling me she's falling in love with a woman, and I think I'm falling for her back, and I'm not sure she's talking about me but I hope that she's talking about me because I'm talking about her and-" Meredith rambles.
"And you've been texting her every night since what? Last week?" Cristina asks her.
"Yeah, and we've texted. And practically sexted. And I just have to talk to her-" Meredith sighs.
"Alright, tell her you want to meet her at seven. Here, I'll do it, you'll just chicken out," says Cristina as she grabs Meredith's phone from her. "Oh, and by the way, you are so welcome," Cristina grins.
