A/N: I am so, so sorry for not having the chapter ready last Friday. I know I promised it but it is here now, and I guarantee there will be a chapter tomorrow, and the vibe of that chapter is going to be very different from today's.

Enjoy!

:)

"Did you miss me?" Wilbur said after a brief bit of silence.

Evelyn continued to stare, she hadn't been this close to him in months.

"Miss you? God, Will, you thank that months apart would change a person," Evelyn finally said.

Wilbur scoffed at her. "Haven't changed? Look at me, I've got a whole new style!" He spun around, showing off his large brown coat that reminded Evelyn of the coat he once used to wear during the war.

Behind her, Evelyn could hear Techno clear his throat. Of course. There wasn't time to joke around and catch up. They had a battle to prepare for.

"Wilbur, you were saying we go to war. Just the four of us and what? Tommy? I mean the odds aren't exactly in our favor," Techno remarked.

The sound of footsteps could be heard coming from the staircase behind Wilbur.

Her husband gestured to the doorway and said, "From the sound of it we have more than just Tommy."

The first to pass through the archway was Tommy, followed by Niki and several other people who didn't support Schlatt.

Hours had passed and Evelyn was doing her best to avoid Wilbur. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk to him, but she knew he would pry for more than she was ready to give.

It's not like she didn't want to tell him, just not at that particular moment. Evelyn knew for a fact that if he knew she was pregnant, which at this point she was sure of, he wouldn't let her go and fight.

She stood at a table, its surface covered with a large map of Manberg and the surrounding area. For the last forty minutes or so she had been talking with Techno about battle strategies and ways to beat Schlatt. Tubbo had come and put some more input on things Schlatt had told him as well, which helped them figure out a plan considerably.

They had been sitting in silent contemplation for a minute when she felt Wilbur walk up and stand beside her. Evelyn waited for him to say something, anything really. She knew him well enough to know that he wanted to say something.

Wilbur leaned closer to her and quietly said, "So, do you want to talk about it?"

Dammit. Does he know something is wrong?

"No, not right now. We're still trying to find a foolproof way of getting in," Evelyn murmured back to him. She leaned forward a bit, eyes scanning the map and her brain going through every possibility and what could go wrong with it.

"Come on, something's bothering you. You can tell me," He pushed.

Evelyn didn't take her eyes off the map. "I really don't want to talk about it right now."

"Evelyn," He started. Evelyn was tired of it.

She spun around and loudly said, "Will, I really don't think my issue is relevant to the situation at hand, alright?"

Quickly, she realized how loudly she had told him off. His going quiet and eyes all across the room on her clued her in. She turned back around and continued to scan the map.

"Alright then, don't talk about it. I just wanted to make sure you were fine," Wilbur said behind her. He was clearly hurt by her outburst, but Evelyn didn't really care. She couldn't tell him yet. She wasn't sure that she could ever really tell him what happened with Schlatt ever, no matter how much time may pass.

That night most everyone propped themselves against a wall and did their best to get some rest before the coming battle. Despite Evelyn snapping at Wilbur earlier in the day, he found her and offered to let her stay with him in his room. He had been staying in the place, Pogtopia, as they called it, for months, of course he had a room. Surprisingly, Evelyn agreed. She was tired and did feel bad for what she said to Wilbur.

They silently got ready for bed, neither completely comfortable with something that once was such a familiar thing that was now foreign to both of them. Sliding under the thin blanket, Evelyn began to panic. She was beginning to form a baby bump. What if Wilbur felt it and asked about it? How would she respond to it?

Wilbur noticed her unease and tried to soothe her worries. "If you really don't want to talk about whatever it is that's clearly bothering you, you don't have to. But if you do, I'm here, you know."

Evelyn chose her next words wisely.

"I'm not trying to put it off as if it is unimportant, it definitely is important, I just feel like neither of us are ready for that conversation," She finally said.

He went quiet and the two drifted off into uneasy sleep, closer than they had been since the night before the election.
