Exile Oasis Outskirts: Day 14
Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Papyrus - Luigi - Meta Knight - Little Mac - Princess Peach - Tails - Spy - Waluigi - Kirby - Engineer - ROB - Jotaro Kujo - Samus Aran.
When the survivors woke up relatively early, they were greeted with a note that had been slipped into one of their tents. Each tribe had received this note, and the contents boiled down to Alexa notifying them that the next challenge wouldn't be located within the Challenge Dunes, but instead, the shore of the desert, also known as the Exile Oasis Outskirts.
The Exile Oasis was a large, tropical island surrounded by a massive moat, which separated it from the rest of the desert. The survivors brought themselves to the outside of this moat, and when they arrived, they saw a few structures and staff members in a specific spot, which caused them to gather around that part of the outskirts.
Silently, the three teams discussed amongst themselves what the challenge could be, and most of it concluded as a challenge that had SOMETHING to do with this moat.
The fourteen survivors didn't have to wait too long for an answer before Alexa arrived in his jeep. The host hopped out and waved. "What's up, survivors! Today marks the first fortnight you've been participating in this show for, and to mark such a milestone..."
He pointed out to the moat. "Today's challenge involves a trip to the cooling waters of the Exile Oasis!"
Little Mac's eyes widened. "WATER?!"
Similarly, Waluigi's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. "COOLING?!"
Alexa sniggered at their awe, and the survivors felt like cheering before they even knew what they'd be doing in the water, since the prospect of chilly, fresh waters over dry heat and sand had them hooked immediately.
As the hollering eventually died down, he got back on track. "Now, before I talk about the challenge itself, I'd like to inform Super Shrooms and Laudable Leaves that King K. Rool has been eliminated from Power Flowers on the second vote! The crocodile was also revealed to be a holder of an idol, but he was eliminated before he had an opportunity to use it."
"INDEED! IT TURNS OUT THAT YOU CAN'T USE IDOLS IN SECOND VOTES, WHICH PROVED FATAL FOR OUR SCALY ALLY," added Papyrus.
"Looks like Papyrus is giving out more useful details regarding Tribal Council than Alexa himself." - Phoenix Wright.
With the news out of the way, Alexa began describing the next challenge:
*Every survivor on each team will be given a tile with a symbol on it. Said tile will be strapped to the front of their body, and they will be crucial for progressing through the challenge later on. For now, however, the challenge will start with a swim through the moat and to the Exile Oasis island itself! The length is rather difficult, though it's only over a kilometer in size.
Once a certain member makes it to the island, they will be greeted with three chests with a large chalk circle around each one. Each chest will be color-coded to their tribe's main color. In order to open your team's chest, you will need to slot every tile from every survivor in your team into the chest, which will cause it to open. Within this chest, a massive supply of coconuts will be waiting for you.
With these coconuts now at your team's disposal, your next and final task of the challenge will be to break ten targets nearby your chest. These sets of ten targets are, again, color-coded to your tribe's main color, and they come in different sizes and distances! However, you must not step out of the chalk circle surrounding your chest when throwing these coconuts, to make things much harder. Once all ten targets are broken, your team wins the next mystery prize and immunity! If you're second place, you just win immunity, and if you're last, you win nothing!
Now, I understand that's a lot to take in, so to recap: survivors will be given a tile; they will swim up the Exile Oasis moat; all team members must use their tiles to open up the chest at the island; you hit every target from the chest using the coconuts inside, and voila, you win!
Finally, before I set things up, here are some further rules...
- You cannot fly over the moat; you must go through the water by any means necessary.
- No stealing tiles whatsoever.
- Breaking open the chest is not allowed.
- Breaking a target whilst out of the chalk circle results in a five-minute time-out for the whole team.
- Have fun!*
"Pssh, easy challenge!" Gloated Little Mac. "And after the exercise I did yesterday, I'm pumped and ready to go!"
"You may have trained yourself up, but I have more energy than all of your tribe combined!" Spy retaliated. "After all, we got to dine on some luxurious cake."
"D-don't you mention that." The boxer clenched his fists tightly. "That next prize ours!"
The Frenchman didn't respond, though his smug look only peeved Little Mac further.
"Now, survivors, line up!" He ordered.
As they did so, Samus turned to Meta Knight. "Aren't we disadvantaged?"
"Not necessarily," he stated. "With one less person to rely on, we could potentially make it quicker than the others..."
"INDEED, SAMUS!" Papyrus frantically nodded.
"...But I wouldn't count on it," Meta Knight finished, his voice shrinking in volume. "Considering that we still have to rely on someone as weak as Papyrus to swim across a moat of water."
Meanwhile, Luigi expressed great concern towards ROB. "Are you-a sure you'll be fine in-a the water?"
"Yes," he responded. "Granted I'm not in there for too long."
Phoenix, overhearing the conversation, felt a wave of dread go down his spine. "How long is TOO long?" He thought.
Next, each survivor was given a tile, which was then wrapped firmly around their waist using nothing but a rope.
Once every survivor had their tile, Alexa began the challenge. "Alright survivors, the challenge will begin in 3..."
Tails crouched down, a terrible position for a running start, which perked the interest of his surrounding tribemates.
"2..."
Waluigi cracked his joints several times, he wasn't bad at all in the Olympics despite his consistent lack of gold medals under his belt, but he believed that he could get first place and show his team and everyone else who's boss!
"1... GO!" Alexa commanded.
Tails immediately curled into a ball, spinning himself until he was nothing but a blur of yellow with two tails hanging out the back. The others gawked as they ran into the moat to begin swimming.
ROB did something similar, landing in the water and immediately rotating his arms at an incredible speed, which moved him along the water faster and faster like a motorboat, though the slow start allowed slower contestants such as Papyrus to gain a considerable lead over him.
Suddenly, Tails stopped spinning in place and let go, zooming across the entire moat in only fifteen seconds until he was at the other side of the moat, waiting for the others to catch up.
"TAILS HAS MADE IT THE MOAT!" Announced Alexa.
Waluigi's jaw dropped, he wasn't even deep enough to begin swimming, and yet his dream of getting first place had already been squandered by Tails, who he instantly painted as a "Filthy cheater!" despite his ally status.
Meanwhile, Meta Knight and Kirby dunked themselves underwater. Meta Knight used his wings to propel himself forward at a great speed, whilst Kirby was seemingly gone from the race.
Though at first, he had made decent distance, Papyrus slowly began to lose his lead as he lost stamina. "HUFF... COME ON, ME... DON'T LOSE MY LEAD NOW!"
"You never had one to-a begin with, loser!" Waluigi cackled as he swam by. Luigi then passed Papyrus seconds later, though didn't comment on it.
More and more people then overtook the skeleton: Spy, Peach, Engineer, and then Phoenix.
After all that, Papyrus saw Kirby emerge from the water right in front of him, though the puffball's appearance was different, similar to the last challenge. This time, Kirby had a hat made from pure flowing water that moved as he moved. To make matters more interesting, Kirby was surfing along the moat at a speed faster than almost anyone else in the race.
"W-WHAAAA?!" Waluigi dropped his jaw yet again. "ANOTHER CHEATER?!"
As Meta Knight caught wind of people's surprise, he looked up and saw Kirby surfing along the water. He was the only one who actually knew what was going on.
"Another copy-ability?!" He thought. "This time it's water. My chances of beating him in this part of the challenge are as good as dead."
Upon observing the others, Phoenix was terrified of his competition. Tails was already at the end within half a minute of the challenge starting, and Kirby was water-bending to his will. At least he wasn't dead-last, as Papyrus and ROB were far behind.
"LOOKS LIKE I'M NEARLY LAST..." Papyrus sighed. "AT LEAST THINGS CAN'T GET ANY WORSE THAN THI-"
*CRASH*
With ROB blissfully unaware of what he had done, he continued drifting up the moat, picking up more and more speed as he began passing everyone in an instant. Little did he know, he had accidentally crashed into and brought Papyrus with him, which as a result, saved the skeleton's chances of being at an embarrassing last place.
Phoenix saw both of them zoom past him, and he picked up the speed further, filled with despair.
"SO MANY CHEATERS!" Cried Waluigi, staring at the two as they zipped past.
At this point, Kirby was nearly at the end of the moat, but from the corner of his eye came ROB and Papyrus, the both of them nearing the end at a faster pace than the puffball. This caused him to go a little faster, using all of his strength to do so, but to no avail, as they surpassed him despite his hard efforts.
"GAAAAAAAHHHH!" Cried Papyrus. "HELP MEEE!"
The sudden outcry caused ROB to stop his propeller-esque swimming tactic, slowing him down to a complete halt as he noticed Papyrus slowly slide off of his head and into the water.
"W-WHERE ARE WE?!" The skeleton looked around before spotting the island. "O-OH, YOU CARRIED ME THERE?!"
"It wasn't an intentional idea to help out an enemy," admitted ROB. "Especially the objectively weakest link at that," he added at a volume perfectly low enough for Papyrus to not hear.
The robot then exited the water and slotted his symbol into the brown Laudable Leaves chest, waiting for the rest of his team to arrive. Papyrus did the same for his team's chest.
Moments later, Kirby crashed into the shore, meeting up with Tails.
"Poyo!" He cheered.
"Great job Kirby!" Applauded Tails. "I didn't know you could surf like that... does that big watery hat of yours have anything to do with it?"
Kirby smiled, bobbing his head before crouching down. His hat then began glowing a bright, blinding white as it slowly morphed into a blue star with a water icon on it. This star bounced away from the two of them, also catching the attention of ROB and Papyrus before it poofed into thin air.
Needless to say, Tails was left speechless, from the ejection of the hat, to it turning into a star, to said star disappearing. At least he was beginning to learn about Kirby's interesting powers.
"Poyo?" He questioned, confused over the fox's blank face.
"N-nothing, it doesn't matter." He smiled and gave a thumbs up.
With 4/14 of the survivors now on the island, there was still a lot more of the challenge to go. Samus Aran was at the front, followed by Meta Knight, Jotaro, Little Mac, Waluigi, Luigi, Peach, Spy, Engineer, and Phoenix.
Five minutes passed since Kirby made it to shore, and the survivors were still in the same order as before. At this point, they were nearing the island, but still had plenty of swimming to go. Meta Knight had caught up to Samus, and was nearly past her, though she noticed his presence and attempted to keep her lead, even if he was on the same team.
"We might get first place!" Yelled Samus, loud enough for Meta Knight to hear her through the sound of the crashing waves and splashing. "Papyrus reached the oasis!"
"Indeed," he agreed. "Though Peach seems to be far behind us both."
Their conversation had ended there, but both of them had a lot more enthusiasm over their chances of winning than ever before.
And just like that, they reached the shore after a few more minutes, Meta Knight managing to beat Samus last second.
"You have incredible stamina," he commented.
"Thanks," she replied, slotting her tile into the chest alongside the warrior. "Now we wait, huh?"
And she was right, Peach was close to overtaking Waluigi and Luigi, but she still had a long way to go before she hit the shores.
Following their arrival, eight survivors now remained, Jotaro next in line to hit the shore, though it would take him about a further five minutes to do so. The scientist was more deadset on the target part of the challenge, however, as the task of precision and speed would be Star Platinum's time to shine.
Out of the swimmers, Luigi was probably the most content. He was mostly underwater, and he simply swam through the tranquil moat without much effort at all, though his top speed was unfortunately poor, it was still enough to surpass Waluigi, which he didn't even realize.
Angrily, Waluigi proceeded to catch up to the green nemesis of his, deciding to sabotage the plumber out of spite and revenge for losing his position. He grabbed onto the end of Luigi's leg, dangling from it in an attempt to pull Luigi behind him and kick him away, but instead.
"WAAAAAAH!" Screamed Luigi, kicking behind him at full force out of pure instinct, he thought he had been attacked by a shark, but instead, he had accidentally foiled Waluigi's schemes.
"Waaah..." The villain murmured underwater, covering his nose, damaged and sore from the powerful underwater kick. Though he didn't want to stop, Waluigi had no choice but to tend to his nose for a minute or so, which allowed nearly everyone but Phoenix, who had nearly caught up to him.
Later, Jotaro finally arrived at the shore, Little Mac close behind. Both of them ran up to their respective tribes and inserted their tiles, taking a break from the workout by kneeling down.
And, after another minute, Luigi showed up, appearing to have benefitted greatly from the indirect kick he gave to the intrusive Waluigi. Only a few members from each team now remained, Power Flowers only needing Peach in order to advance.
Waluigi, despite his minute-long forced break, managed to catch back up, passing Engineer and Spy, though he was still far behind Peach, who was a minute or so away from the shore.
Phoenix was neck-and-neck with Engineer at this point, the lawyer using all of his strength, but it almost seemed like no matter how fast he went, the Texan sped up more or less at the same time. This formed a situation where he was at the exact same distance behind Engineer at all times.
"COME ON PEACH!" Papyrus called out, beckoning for the damsel to reach the end quicker, though she was more than tired from the swim, and in all fairness, everyone was.
She decided to give it her all for the final stretch, swimming faster than she had swum in the beginning. Once her feet finally started touching the ground again, she erupted out of the water with style, hovering in mid-air in order to give her legs a small break from all of the kicking they went through.
Eventually, Peach landed next to the chest, slotting in her tile and unlocking it.
"POWER FLOWERS IS THE FIRST TO UNLOCK THEIR CHEST!" Announced Alexa, arriving on the island via boat. "Let's see how the teams fare in the final task!"
Each Power Flowers member grabbed a coconut and began lobbing them at the green targets, Meta Knight and Samus had impeccable speed with their shots, but Peach had incredible accuracy with her shots, as the coconut's weight almost resembled the weight of the Mushroom Kingdom turnips she's familiar with.
Before they knew it, they had cleared six of the ten targets, and by that point, Waluigi arrived at the island, running up to the red Super Shrooms chest and dunking his tile into it. All they were waiting on now was Engineer, who was behind Spy. If Laudable Leaves got their chest open before Super Shrooms, then it would be game over.
A minute later, Spy entered the shore, Engineer and Phoenix were right behind him.
"God damn it, Spy!" The mercenary grunted. "Our team can still win this..."
"Of course you can," Spy winked. "Go hit as many targets as you want."
"The Hell are you on about?" The Texan raised his eyebrow as he slotted his tile into his chest.
As Phoenix did the same, the others turned to Spy.
"Come on Spy, just put your tile in, and then Jotaro will get us second, maybe even first-a place!" Luigi beamed, hurrying him.
But the Frenchie didn't budge whatsoever. "I don't think so..."
"Come on, enough with the jokes..." Phoenix then gazed into his stone-cold gaze. "Y-you can't be serious, right?"
One by one, they realized what Spy was doing. He was throwing the challenge, forcing Laudable Leaves into Tribal Council.
They shook their head in shock as...
*SMASH*
"POWER FLOWERS WINS FIRST PLACE!" Announced Alexa. "NOW IT'S NECK AND NECK BETWEEN SUPER SHROOMS AND LAUDABLE LEAVES!"
"Hurry, before that snake puts his tile in!" Engineer commanded.
They obliged, not aware of Spy's scheme.
"Spy, why are you-a making us lose on purpose?!" Luigi asked, his smile from earlier had since turned into a look of misery. "We're so close to-a winning..."
Jotaro, in a last-ditch effort to save his team's chances of winning regardless of Spy's cooperation, summoned his stand. "STAR PLATINUM!"
"Not so fast," the rogue wagged his finger cockily. "You see, the rules state you cannot steal tiles whatsoever. This is mine, and you cannot take it from me!"
"I'll just punch around it, then," JoJo threatened.
Again, he wagged his finger. "It's also against the rules to lay a finger on me with the intention of harm. Therefore, this team has lost no matter what!"
"I knew he was nothing but trouble from the second I saw him..." Phoenix thought, clenching his fists angrily. "But there's nothing I or anyone else can do."
Only one target was left for Super Shrooms at this point, and even Power Flowers were beginning to complain to Spy.
Peach was especially mad. "You can't purposefully lose challenges, that's just unfair on your team!"
"I DON'T GET IT! IT'LL JUST RESULT IN HIS ELIMINATION?" Papyrus scratched his skull. "WHY IS HE PURPOSEFULLY LOSING IF IT WON'T BENEFIT HIM?!"
"Because it will," Meta Knight warned. "He has something up his sleeve."
*SMASH*
"SUPER SHROOMS WINS SECOND PLACE AND THE FINAL SPOT FOR IMMUNITY!" Cheered Alexa. "CONGRATULATIONS!"
Both teams would have normally cheered, but not even a smile was shed thanks to the events that had unfolded towards the end of the challenge.
"It seems as if Laudable Leaves had their victory thrown out the window by Spy, huh?" He placed his hands on his hips. "An interesting turn of events... but, we can't drone on that for too long! Power Flowers have a prize waiting for them, after all."
"ERR, YES, LET'S DISCUSS THAT LATER!" Suggested Papyrus. "LET'S SEE WHAT WE RECEIVED!"
Alexa snapped his fingers, and a couple of his staff brought out salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. "Have some flavor-enhancing spices!"
"Paprika and rice sounds like a combination that would make Gordon go on a long darn tangent," Engineer chuckled.
"AHA! THIS WILL BE PERFECT FOR MY COOKING," Papyrus analyzed each one. "ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING I DON'T RECOGNIZE A SINGLE ONE OF THEM!"
"That's not a good sign," Meta Knight sighed. "Regardless, this will make eating a lot more bearable."
The host shot two thumbs up at the tribe. "Glad you all like it! Now, as usual, first place will get to pick someone from the last place to be exiled!"
"Is it really an exile if they're just staying behind?" Pondered Tails.
"Hey, don't take it too literally," Alexa advised, pulling a toothy grin. "Now! Power Flowers, who will it be from Laudable Leaves?"
The four winners huddled together.
"HMMM, WHO SHALL WE SEND?!" Papyrus asked. "MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE ANYONE WHO ATTEMPTED TO WIN THE CHALLENGE FROM START TO FINISH, SO ANYONE BUT SPY!"
"Spy had been exiled in the past, so we couldn't do that even if we wanted to," informed Meta Knight, pointing to the rest of the group. "Spy would likely target Jotaro, but with his level of threat, I don't want to aid him with an exile. I don't think he'd go for anyone else, either. To conclude, it doesn't matter who we exile, I'd just refrain from picking Jotaro."
Peach and Papyrus slowly bobbed their heads with understanding as Samus folded her arms. "So who ARE we picking?"
"Well, on the slight chance that someone else could be targeted by Spy, or in the case of Jotaro also having an idol, I'd probably exile Luigi. He seems the least likely to target anyone in the near future, which I can't say as boldly for Phoenix and ROB," he explained.
"You're right!" Smiled Peach. "Luigi's the kindest soul I know."
As they came to their conclusion, they turned back to Alexa, Meta Knight delivering the answer. "We will choose to exile Luigi."
"Yippee?" Luigi meekly cheered.
"Usually, I'd be happy with missing out on the-a scary event that is-a Tribal Council, but today, it's-a obvious that Spy will be the one eliminated! Unless... h-he has a trick up his sleeve, I guess I'll be able to-a tell if I-a see him tomorrow." - Luigi.
Alexa accepted the answer. "Luigi it is! Enjoy your extended stay here, bud. As for you three." He pointed to each tribe individually. "You'll be returning to your tribes! Power Flowers will enjoy their new variety of flavor; Super Shrooms will enjoy their second immunity prize in a row, and Laudable Leaves will be voting off one of their own members at the Koopa Sphinx! Oh, and I forgot to mention, Super Shrooms and Power Flowers will be returning to the main desert using the boat I arrived here on."
A few moments after the declaration, the Laudable Leaves tribe leered at Alexa.
"You missed us out?" Commented Phoenix.
"Why do you think that is?" He smugly stared at them as they one-by-one processed what he was trying to get at. "Enjoy the swim!"
Alexa then laughed as he guided the two immune teams to the boat. They enjoyed their dry, comfortable transport back to the Dry Dry Desert mainlands as Jotaro, Spy, Phoenix, and ROB swam across the moat, still exhausted from the first swim. Luigi was the only one left on the island, and he made his way around the shore of the oasis using directions given by some staff in order to find the camp where he'd be staying at for the night.
Laudable Leaves: Day 14
Survivors: Phoenix Wright - ROB - Jotaro Kujo.
The survivors finally arrived back at the tribe, though they were damp, tired, and most of all: upset. To make matters worse, Spy was seemingly missing from the tribe, with Jotaro, Phoenix, and ROB last seeing him at the Exile Oasis Outskirts.
As they sat down on the benches, Phoenix glanced at Jotaro and saw that the marine biologist was absolutely enraged. The lawyer empathized with him. All of them lost their chance for the prize, the immunity, and a comfortable journey back to the Dry Dry Desert, but instead, Spy ruined all of that. Phoenix continued to piece together why he decided to do so in his head, but little of his ideas made sense. If Spy had an idol, making himself a target and wasting it would be an awful idea. Him wanting to leave the show was another potential option, but the lack of evidence supporting it resulted in it also not making much sense. Spy was without a doubt tactical and incredibly logical, so Phoenix knew that, in order to find the answer as to why the rogue purposefully lost the challenge, he would have to wait for the next Tribal Council for Spy to show his true colors.
In the meantime, he turned to Jotaro, who continued to look like his blood was boiling. "Jotaro, are you alright?"
"..." Silence.
The lack of a reaction made it clear that he was not going to feel any less angry anytime soon, so Phoenix decided to talk to ROB. "Do you have any idea why Spy would do such a thing?"
"Spy attempted to avoid any eye contact with me last challenge, maybe it was because he thought I had the ability to read right his face, which I can do," he revealed. "...But only to the extent of emotion, and he appeared to look pretty sadistic as he did what he did. We can expect Spy to have an idol for the next Tribal Council, however."
"But why would he waste it?" Asked Phoenix.
"To target one specific person," said Jotaro, suddenly standing up. Whilst he was still angry, he looked a lot calmer on the outside. "Spy's plan is to eliminate somebody here using an idol, and he'll do it even if it costs him the trust of the alliance he's on. That means the person he's targeting is that big of a threat, that he wants them gone as soon as possible."
ROB then eyed Jotaro. "The only person here who really fits that quota is you. I can understand your anger now, as there is likely nothing you can do about his plan."
The stand user nodded. "He's won this battle, or so he thinks. I do have one final trick up my sleeve, and that trick is this..."
Suddenly, he pulled out the star idol, causing Phoenix's eyes to widen. "I knew it!" He thought. "The locks were right!"
"This idol is capable of nullifying my immunity, so no matter how many votes he throws at me, he'll be the one eliminated," Jotaro explained. "Spy did this all for nothing."
"Well, I'm glad his scheme isn't going to work, then!" Phoenix cheered. "Well, should we go down to Tribal Council? We did spend an extra hour from the swim and walk back. If only there were warp pipes in the outskirts..." He pouted.
"I'm still pissed that I failed to keep my idol for long, but if it's to keep me in the game and humiliate Spy after making us lose out on a more honorable placement in the challenge, then I consider it beyond worth it." - Jotaro Kujo.
Phoenix and Jotaro stood up from their benches, walking over to the Koopa Sphinx and ROB followed from behind.
Within the first ten steps of their walk, Phoenix suddenly felt a wave of dread rush over him, causing him to stop dead in his tracks.
He then vividly remembered the dream he a couple of nights ago, where he had been eliminated and mocked by his whole team. Though, whilst remembering the dream was certainly unpleasant, Phoenix didn't consider the sudden memory of it to be important. After all, it's not like it meant anything crucial, right...?
Tribal Council: Night 14
Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Spy - ROB - Jotaro Kujo.
As they entered the Tribal Council, they were greeted with Spy calmly sitting down on one of the stone benches, barely acknowledging their existence as they sat down adjacent to him. Alexa entered the room shortly after and greeted all four of the survivors.
"Welcome to your first Tribal Council, Laudable Leaves! Well, it's TECHNICALLY your first, but that's still a first in my book!" Chuckled Alexa. "Now, last challenge, something crazy happened. Spy, you seemed to have stood still towards the end of the challenge, making it impossible for your team to carry out the victory. I want you to ask why that is?"
The Frenchman tugged on his tie and smirked. "So the team could lose, obviously. Why else would someone stand completely still at the last stretch of a race?"
"True, but can you go into detail about why you wanted your team to lose? It painted a massive target on your back, and even if you somehow make it out of here unscathed with any tricks you may have, you're permanently an enemy to every survivor not only on your tribe, but in the game itself," warned Alexa.
He folded his arms. "Well, with what I have planned, there is nothing they can particularly do about tonight's council. No matter who plays an idol here, someone other than me will be going home. As for me being a permanent target, I have enough faith in my skill to stick around to the very end of the game without going up for elimination!"
"That's quite the bold claim, but I dig your enthusiasm!" Alexa admitted. "Now, enough about you. How do you three feel? Let's start with Jotaro."
"Pissed off," he replied, not elaborating.
He nodded. "Ah, I see! That's a reasonable emotion. What about you, Phoenix?"
"Also angry, but I'm just confused," Phoenix turned to Spy. "Do you really have a specific target in mind?"
Spy turned to him in return. "I didn't do this commotion for nothing, so of course I have a target you imbecile! But, like I said, even if my target isn't the one eliminated, it still won't be me."
"Boy do I really want to wipe that smug look off of his masked face!" Thought Phoenix, glaring at Spy.
Lastly, Alexa pointed to ROB. "I know robots can't exactly FEEL, but what went through your head as your chances of victory became tarnished?"
The robot gave a quiet beep. "Unexpected was the main thing to take away from the situation. I didn't even think of throwing a challenge on purpose until I saw Spy commit the act. I can't feel anger, but I can definitely sense it among the other two."
"Boy oh boy do we have an interesting Tribal Council to experience..." He shook his head with disbelief. "However, let's not waste any more time! I'm sure you all want to settle this, so you all may vote!"
One by one, the members of Laudable Leaves stood up, casting their votes...
Jotaro Kujo: This won't even work, but it's better you than me or anyone else. (Spy)
Spy: Welcome to the end of the line, you oaf! Ahahaha! (?)
Phoenix Wright: Well, here goes... (Spy)
ROB: The best option for elimination is beyond easy to decipher. (Spy)
"Survivors, before I read out the votes, would anyone like to play an idol?" Asked Alexa.
Immediately, Spy raised his hand. "I would!"
And, at that moment, he pulled out the show's most powerful idol: the Poison Shroom Idol.
Alexa's eyes lit up like a frightened puppy. "Oh my, I almost forgot you acquired that bad boy! For those who are unaware, this idol allows Spy to make everyone barring two specific people immune. This will cause a revote, though it still counts as the first voting session, so all rules still apply. Now Spy, please select two people to be immune."
The Frenchman cackled. "Easy! The first is Jotaro, and the second one is..."
Phoenix suddenly felt his heart drop, if it was him and Jotaro, then the stand user would have to use his idol, which would result in Phoenix's elimination. The dream really was correct, after all...
"...The bucket of bolts himself, ROB!" He announced. "Consider your life spared, Phoenix," he taunted.
The lawyer then sunk into his bench, impeccably relieved.
ROB then turned to Jotaro. "Well, this must be it for me, then."
"Who knew that robots could harness such pessimism?" Spy folded his arms. "You may be scrap, but Phoenix will undoubtedly vote for Jotaro: the show's biggest threat."
Phoenix was in disbelief, he suddenly realized what was about to take place. "ROB..."
"Alright! It's time for the proper first vote!" Announced Alexa. "Survivors, cast your votes. Take two!"
One by one, they all casted their votes.
By the end of it, Alexa collected them and started the vote. "I shall now read out the vo-"
"Hang on a second," said Jotaro. "If it's still the first vote, then idols can still be played, correct?"
"Oh, right! I nearly forgot to ask..." He lightly slapped his head. "I take it you have an idol of your own?"
"Huh?!" Spy gasped. "You too?!"
Jotaro nodded, pulling out his star idol. "This idol allows me to become immune in Tribal Councils when played, meaning that all votes against me have now been nullified."
"Took the words right out of my mouth," joked Alexa. "But he's right! All votes towards Jotaro have now been nullified. So, with that in mind, I shall now read out the votes!"
*VOTING TIME*
First vote goes to Jotaro Kujo. It is nullified as a result.
Second vote goes to Jotaro Kujo. It is nullified as a result.
Third vote goes to Jotaro Kujo. It is nullified as a result.
"And, the fourth and final vote goes to..." Alexa briefly held his tongue. "ROB! With only one measly vote, you have been eliminated from Survivor Crossover: Dry Dry Desert. Please say your final words and leave the show forever."
ROB gave a long beep as he nodded. "Understandable. I shall take my leave, but before I do so, I will wish everyone on this show well. I cannot exactly take bias, but may the strongest, most strategic, and most social win the show."
"See you later, ROB," sighed Phoenix. "It sucks that it has to end this way."
"I hold no sadness over this outcome, though it would have been more preferable for me to stay." He then gave a happy, high-pitched beep before spinning his limbs.
The lawyer continued to wave goodbye as he drifted down the middle path, officially ending his stay.
"God damn it..." Spy grumbled underneath his breath. "Admirable save, Kujo."
Jotaro was silent, though, on the inside, he was just glad to have stayed in the show, even if it had cost someone who didn't deserve an elimination so soon.
Nonetheless, Alexa ended the council. "ROB was definitely an oddball in this show! He went off of facts, statistics, and pure objectivity! He had some moments of emotion, but maybe it's just not possible for a robot to win, no matter how good they are. Regardless, I hope you three have a good rest, and I'll see you guys soon. Goodnight survivors!"
ROB's last words: "What an interesting experience... there's nothing quite like watching a large group of people argue, work together and form alliances and rivalries in the middle of a boiling hot desert, and even though I don't feel upset over my loss, it's a shame that I didn't get to experience even more of it. It doesn't matter, I'm just interested in seeing who wins the whole show, now that I've been eliminated."
