Calder soon wakes up as he sat up and was in a bed in the medic hall of the Argo contraption.
"Anything on the scouts?" Foster asked.
"Ships have Godzilla hauling tail heading south." Raoul said. "We lost Monster Zero in a storm."
"I know what I saw, Sten." Foster said to Sten. "And I'm telling you, she gave that signal."
"All due respect, Colonel, you saw wrong." Sten said. "Okay? She wouldn't have done it. Thor, she recruited pretty much everyone in this room."
"Maybe Jonah or Drago forced her, right?" Raoul said. "Maybe he used Madge as leverage."
"No, no." Sten said. "It had to be someone else."
"Embla." Calder said.
They turned and saw Calder who just entered the room along with Hiccup as well as Astrid and Nuffink.
"It was Embla." Calder said. "Foster saw it right. It was her. No one forced her to."
"Are you sure?" Serizawa asked.
Calder nodded.
"First, she releases Mothra." Foster said in disbelief. "And now Monster Zero. Anyone else sensing a pattern here?"
"Yes, and not a good one." Chen said. "It's as if she is trying to start a mass awakening."
"Well, it's just too bad that no one tried to warn you that was gonna happen." Calder said.
"Hang on, guys." Sten said. "Why the hell would she want to release them? And why would she team up with Jonah, and Drago, of all people, to do it?"
"We'll ask her when we find her." Serizawa said. "So, let's keep looking."
Deep below the ocean, Godzilla emerges from the darkness as he glides through the water as he hunts down for his rival.
"Godzilla appears to be following the same path as Drago's contraption, heading south over the ocean to here." Foster said going through a map. "The west tribe. We touch down in 10 minutes."
"What about the people?" Calder asked.
"I'm sorry?" Foster said.
"The people." Calder said. "The people down there in that village that don't realize they're gonna be the special of the day."
Just south of a mountain was the tribe's village.
"We've sent G-Team to begin an evacuation." Serizawa said.
"Serizawa, we have a call from the west tribe." A woman named Arvin said.
A crystal then lit white. "I suppose I should go first." A voice was heard.
They then realized it was Embla who was speaking.
"Where's Madge?" Calder asked.
"She's right here with me?" Embla said.
"Dad, are you okay?" Madge asked.
"Madge, you all right, hon?" Calder asked.
"Dad... I'm sorry." Madge said.
"You don't need to be-" Calder said.
"It's okay. It's okay." Embla said to Madge.
"I'm sorry, Dad." Madge said.
"Where's Zephyr?" Astrid demanded.
"Mommy? Daddy?" Zephyr's voice was heard.
"Zeph, you okay, sweetie?" Hiccup asked.
"Daddy. Please, I wanna go home." Zephyr said.
"Zephyr, just... Just hang in there." Astrid said trying to fight back tears. "We'll find you. Just try to be brave for us, okay?"
"She's fine, Calder, trust me." Embla said.
"Trust is a little hard to come by, Embla." Foster said.
"Especially after what you pulled." Foster said.
"I know." Embla said.
"And I can-I can only imagine what you're all thinking." Embla said.
"But if there were any other way to do this, I would." Embla said.
"Do what, Embla?" Calder questioned.
"I'm saving the world." Embla said.
"By releasing those things?" Calder said in disbelief. "That doesn't make sense."
"As impossible as it seems, it does." Embla said. "Hear me out, Calder. After we lost Arne, I swore his death would not be in vain. That I would find an answer. A solution to why the dragons were such targeted creatures. But as I dug deeper, I realized that they were here for a reason. And that despite all the years that we spent trying to stop them, we never dared to confront the truth."
"Which truth?" Calder inquired.
"Humans have been the-"
"-dominated species for thousands of years, and look what's happened." Embla said. "Never before has a species been more destructive than us."
"The mass extinction we feared could be just centuries away." Embla said. "And we are the cause of it. We are the infection. But like all living organisms, the Earth unleashed a fever to fight this infection. Its original and rightful rulers, the Titans. They are part of the Earth's natural defense system. A way to protect the planet, to maintain it's balance. But if they were contained, destroyed, or use them for war, the human infection will only continue to spread. And within centuries, our planet with perish, and so will we."
"Unless we restore balance." Embla said.
"And what's gonna be left, if you do this?" Raoul questioned. "A dead, charred world, overrun by monsters?"
"No, Stanton, the-"
"-exact opposite." Embla said. "Just like how a forest fire replenishes the soil, or how a volcano creates new land, we have seen signs that these creatures will do the same. Wherever the Titans go, life follows, trigger by their energy. They are the only thing that can reverse the destruction that we started. They are the only guarantee that life will carry on. But for that to happen, we must set them free."
"You are murdering the world." Chen said.
"No." Embla denied. "Because as difficult as this will be, I promise you humanity will not go extinct. Using the ORCA, we will return to a natural order. A forgotten order, where we coexisted in balance with the Titans. The first gods."
"This is a dangerous path." Serizawa said. "You are meddling with forces beyond our comprehension. Gambling with the lives of millions!"
"And what are you gambling with, Serizawa?" Embla said. "Drago's army is relentless. And we could be on the brink of war that could wipe all dragons from history, and eventually weapons will come to eradicate the creatures. And if that happens, what will our chances be?"
"You are out of your Thor-damned mind!" Calder angrily said.
"First, you put our daughter's life in danger and now you get to decide the fate of the world." Calder said. "That's rich,-"
"-Embla!"
"I couldn't be more sane, and Madge couldn't be stronger." Embla said.
Calder than had a look as if she has gone mad.
"After we lost Arne, I trained her to survive." Embla said. "And at least now, she will have a fighting chance."
"A fighting chan-?" Calder said in disbelief. "Why don't you listen to yourself?"
Madge remained silent as she listened.
"It's not all math, Embla." Calder said. "Some things, you can't control."
"And there are some things that you can't run from." Embla said as her voice broke.
"This won't bring him back to us." Calder said.
Embla remained silent for a few moments.
"I can only urge you to take refuge." Embla said. "Over the last 60 years, Monarch has prepared bunkers around the archipelago to save and restart civilization. I suggest you found them."
The crystal's glow then faded.
Embla remained silent as well as Madge.
Chen shook her head. "That witch."
"Just wait till I get my hands on her." Astrid said looking to strangle her or brake her wrist.
"How long until this thing lands?" Calder asked.
"3 minutes." Foster said.
Jonah turns to Embla as she was silent by the chair.
"Embla?" Jonah said.
Drago then turns to her.
Embla soon got up and went over to the ORCA.
"Mom, don't!" Madge said stopping her.
"I'm sorry, did a child just tell you what to do?" Jonah said.
"Maybe Dad is right." Madge said having doubts of this. "Maybe this isn't the way."
"By all means, Embla, let's reconsider our entire plan." Jonah said. "Especially after telling your friends about it."
"Madge, we talked about this." Embla said.
"No, you said you were gonna help people, that you would let them find shelter-" Madge said.
"ENOUGH!" Drago roared.
Jonah slammed his hand on the table. "We don't have time for this!" He turns to Embla. "Did you really think this was gonna be easy? Painless? Is that what you told her?"
"Leave her out of this." Embla said.
"Why? You're the one who pulled her into it." Jonah retorted. "As well as leading Drago to take her." He gestured to Zephyr. "What's it for, to get even with your former chief?" He then turns to Madge. "Madge, tell me, what exactly did Mommy sell you on? some grand utopia? Man and monster, living together in blissful harmony? Like what your former chief tried to do and wanted with dragons? Or was he trying to play Odin? With no care of his tribe getting killed?"
"Sir. It's now or never." One of Drago's men said.
"Embla, you came to me." Jonah said. "This is your plan. We both want to save the planet, but everything is going to die if we don't see it through."
"Please, at least let them get to safety." Madge said.
"Ma'am, our window's closing." One of Drago's men said.
"It's our call." Drago said. "1 live, or hundreds."
"Mom..." Madge said.
Embla then works on a combination on the ORCA.
"I'm sorry, Madge." Embla said. "This is bigger than just you and me."
Soon, the ORCA started playing as a tear fell from Madge's face.
Many miles away, members from the south tribe with dragons airlifting teams were evacuating people of the west tribe as they try to hurry.
"Please, slow down!" Barnes called out.
Everyone continued on as then a loud screeching sound rang across the island as they turned to a distant volcano as rumbling occurred as smoke billowed.
Then the cone cracked as air hissed from the volcanic pressure deep inside. Then suddenly it exploded as everyone screamed and the shockwave soared through the air.
At the volcano's rim, lava spewed as then roaring occurred as a large clawed-hand rose out and slams onto the rock. Then 2 horns emerged out from the lava along with a 2nd hand as a large head as an eye opened as it also had a beak with serrated edges on it making them look like teeth. And it's skin almost looked like harden volcanic rock.
Below, everyone watched as the creature crawled out of it's chamber revealing to be a bird-like Titan looking like a vulture with a wingspan bigger than most dragons.
The creature then roared as everyone then ran for their lives.
Soon, Team Argo nears the island as they saw the Titan.
"You got a catchy name for this one?" Calder asked.
"Local legends call it Rodan, the Fire Demon." Chen said.
"That's comforting." Calder said sarcastically.
Rodan roars out.
"Guys?" Sten said. "You remember that storm where we lost Monster Zero?" He looked out a window seeing a distant storm. "It's changing direction, and, uh, guess where it's headed now."
"That's not possible." Raoul said. "No storm moves that fast."
"Unless it's not a storm." Chen said.
Then yellow lightning was seen within the storm cloud.
"Oh, man!" Sten said.
"We need time to finish the evacuation." Serizawa said.
"Well, you'd better hurry, 'cause it's closing in fast." Sten said.
"Serizawa, it's not a coincidence that Monster Zero thing is headed here." Calder said. "It's reacting to Big Bird's cries. That's means it's coming for food, a fight, or... something more intimate." He said as Rodan roared.
"What do you suggest?" Serizawa asked.
Near the volcano, 2 Orca Furies flew towards Rodan.
Then one of them fired 2 blast and they flew ahead and struck Rodan on the chest as he screeches in pain. 2 more Orca Furies fired blasts at him as Rodan roared in pain, and then an Orca Fury quickly flew back as he turns to the Timberjack.
"Oh, I think we got his attention." Calder said.
"Everyone, strap in." Foster said.
Soon, the Timberjack begins to turn away as Rodan watches them as he growled.
And soon the Timberjack begins to fly away as then Rodan took a step forward and then lifted his wings up and then flaps them as he roared. And then Rodan soars down the side of the mountain leaving behind a wind current as strong as a cyclone's as rocks were carried in the air.
Rodan soon glides over the village as huts and other buildings were then knocked down from the wind.
Everyone ahead of Rodan ran including a mother and her son as Rodan nears them as he roared. Rodan soon flew over them as everything was then tossed into the air. Then Barnes and Martinez quickly grab them as they got behind a building strong enough to withstand the wind as they held on.
"Please! Wait!" Barnes said holding on to the screaming mother. "It's gonna be okay!"
Martinez held onto the boy from the blowing wind.
"Hang on, kid!" Martinez yelled.
Rodan continues flying over the village as people were threw into the air along with other objects, and even a statue of Rodan was knocked down.
Meanwhile, the Timberjack flew pass the clouds as then suddenly Toothless and the pride, and Stormfly, along with a dozen other dragons appeared after they were trying to work out what was going on.
And then suddenly Rodan shot out of the clouds roaring as they chased after them.
"Let's lure this turkey away from the island straight to Monster Zero." Raoul said. "2 minutes!"
Ahead of them, yellow lightning flashes were as then the fleet of smaller dragon got ahead of them. And then flew back towards Rodan as Toothless split open his dorsal plates along with the other Night Furies as the dragons then fired blasts at him. And they struck Rodan as he shrieked, the dragons near Rodan as they flew in different directions to avoid him, but Rodan clapped his wings down taking out a Thornridge and Raincutter.
The Timberjack with 3 flyers on Orca Furies flew as Rodan soars over them.
Then Rodan came back again and then snatches a Monstrous Nightmare and Windstriker in his talons and bites off the Windstriker's head off. And then he tossed them into the water.
Bolt continues flying as then suddenly he saw Rodan right on his tail directly behind him as he roared. Then Rodan opened his jaw ready to snatch him, but then a Gronckle shoves him out of the way as Rodan clamped his jaws over the dragon.
The Timberjack continues flying towards the storm as Rodan was right on it's tail.
Then Stormfly noticed Rodan right next to her as she was near his head, and she glanced turns away as Rodan growled as he narrowed his eyes. And Rodan barrel-rolled for something surprisingly for a creature at his size. And he started taking out any dragon unfortunate to be in his way like overgrown beetles to him.
Rodan soon stops his move and skims the ocean water as he chased after the Timberjack, and Toothless quickly roars out to the pride as they quickly retreated to a safer area as he and Stormfly followed the Timberjack.
"We lost the squadron!" Raoul yelled. "30 seconds!"
The 3 dragons continues flying towards the storm with Rodan right on their tails as a yellow lightning bolt flashed. Soon they were flying through the storm as then a lightning bolt nearly hits the Timberjack as it swiftly turns to avoid getting hit as everyone in the contraption held on.
Soon, Rodan closes in on the 3 dragons as he then brought his talons out ready to snatch him.
But just as he was about to snatch them, Rodan suddenly withdraws his attack and pulls up roaring.
The Timberjack, Toothless and Stormfly continue flying as lightning flashed casting a colossal silhouette. And soon, Monster Zero was seen as everyone in the contraption stared at him with shocked looks.
And then Monster Zero rose up as they flew closer to him.
"Dive!" Foster yelled. "DIVE!"
2 members then pulled on chains controlling the Timberjack as it quickly flew out of it's way along with Toothless and Stormfly.
Monster Zero screeched as he then turns towards Rodan.
Rodan then got into a lunging position roaring as the 2 monsters near each other.
And then they collide into each other.
The Timberjack continues diving through the clouds as everyone held on and soon the ocean appeared as the Timberjack quickly brought it's wings out and quickly soars over the ocean.
Meanwhile, Rodan and Monster Zero were still in an aerial fight.
"Jeez, they're killing each other." Raoul said looking through a window.
"Mayday, mayday!" Barnes' voice was heard from a crystal. "This is Raptor 1 to Argo. Argo do you read?"
"Copy, Raptor 1." Foster responded.
"What's your status?"
G-Team was in a contraption airlifted by a Thorntail, but the dragon has a damaged wing as it tries to stay in the air.
"We're screwed, that's what." Barnes said. "And we got kids on board. We're gonna need immediate mid-air retrieval."
"Look on to their position, and prepare the hanger for emergency landing." Foster said.
A crystal then flashed as the hanger doors weren't working.
"Hanger doors are unresponsive." Raoul said.
"Manual override?" Foster inquired.
"THEY'RE STUCK!" Raoul yelled.
Calder then got up.
"All right, which way to the hanger?" Calder asked.
"I can show you." Sten said getting up.
"Anybody else?" Calder asked.
"I know the way." Sten said. "I... Come on." He heads off.
"Hope you got a big wrench." Raoul sald.
The Thorntail continues airlifting the contraption as then Stormfly and Toothless appeared and help it as they head for the Timberjack.
Meanwhile, Calder and Hiccup follow Sten through the contraption as they soon got to the hanger.
"What's the problem?!" Sten asked.
"Gear systems are jammed!" A member said trying to repair them. "I'm trying to repair them. It's not looking good."
Meanwhile, Rodan and Monster Zero were still fighting as they chittered as the right and left head had bit down on Rodan's wings and held him out. And then the middle head screeched firing a blast at Rodan's chest as the 2 other heads released him as Rodan fell and hits the ocean.
Nearby, Toothless and Stormfly were still helping the Thorntail to the Timberjack as it was starting to get weak from it's wounded wing.
"Argo, you gotta get those bay doors open now!" Griffin contacted the team. "Have the crash and fire crews ready."
Meanwhile, in the hanger, Calder noticed one of the hanging contraptions was directly over the hanger doors.
He then looked around and then pulled a lever.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The man tried to push him away.
Calder then pulled another lever, and then the wooden clutch holding the contraption released it as it drops on the hanger doors as it broke in several sections as the doors opened as they fell out.
"Look out!" Barnes yelled.
The contraption remains hits the water in front of them as they flew through the splash and the 3 dragons started flying upward.
"Hold on!" Griffin yelled to everyone.
Toothless, Stormfly and the Thorntail near the hanger bay.
"Come on, Griff!" Barnes said. "Come on! HIT IT! HIT IT!"
Soon they flew through the opening as then the straps holding the contraption broke off the Thorntail. And then the contraption drops on the platform as everyone ran to get out of the way as it spun around as everyone inside it yelled as they held on.
The contraption continues spinning as it nears the upper platform as Calder quickly grabs Sten and they got down as a beam on the contraption hits the wall near them as it came to a stop.
In the contraption, everyone was shaken but relieved to be alive.
"That's what I'm talking about, Griff!" Barnes said patting Griffin's shoulder. "Everybody okay?" He turns to everyone.
Sten, Calder and Hiccup rushed down as everyone started heading out of the contraption.
"Get over to the back of the hanger." Shawver said guiding them. "We're all gonna head this way. This way. This way."
"Thanks for the lift!" Barnes said to Calder.
Then screeching was heard as everyone jumped and saw Monster Zero flying towards them.
"Go! Go!" Barnes said.
Monster Zero flew closer towards them.
"Oh, Thor!" Calder said.
Monster Zero begins to close in on them, and then suddenly Godzilla lunges out from the depths snatching his rival by surprise. And then suddenly Doragon lands on Monster Zero's back and bites down on the middle head's neck as he was thrown aside as everyone was shocked.
The 3 giant monsters hit the water as Monster Zero screeched trying to flee. But Doragon bites down on the middle head as Godzilla roared grabbing the left head and pulls him under as yellow flashes appeared from underwater as Monster Zero tried to stun them.
Sten, Calder and Hiccup soon rejoin with the others as one of Monster Zero's heads shot out of the water screeching in front of them.
But then Doragon bites down on it's head, and he and Godzilla pulled it back underwater.
Everyone held on as the room shook.
"We're getting out of here." Raoul said.
All 3 heads of Monster Zero shot out of the water screeching but then were pulled back under as Godzilla bites down on the left neck and then got into a death roll and shakes the left head as Doragon attacked the middle head.
The fight continues as it looks like Godzilla and Doragon were gaining the upper hand, and then Godzilla bites down on the left head and clamps his jaws down hard as he pulls and rips the head clean off and lifts his head out of the water roaring out loudly.
Then Doragon took the limped head and shakes it around and bites down on the head and then unhinged his jaw and then swallowed it whole.
The underwater fight continues as then suddenly a green flash appeared with a muffled explosion as blinding light appeared. The brightness fades as a large explosion of water appeared.
Everyone held on as the room shook and were also shocked of what just happened.
In the water surrounding the island, dozens of fish rose up to the surface lifeless.
Then suddenly a water explosion appeared as then a pair of wings shot out as Monster Zero flew out screeching still alive with the left limped neck.
Everyone turned to him as they were shock he was alive.
"Jeez." Calder said.
"Stanton, can you locate Gojira?" Serizawa asked.
A crystal then flashed with a muffled pulsating.
"Yeah. I got something." Raoul said. "His vitals are fading. Energy levels plummeting."
The pulsating slowly begins to fade.
"Come on, big guy." Raoul said encouragingly. "Fight it."
Everyone remained silent as they waited, but soon the pulsating stopped.
"He's gone." Raoul said.
Serizawa looked it hit him hardest.
"Looks like you got your wish, Calder." Serizawa said to him.
He then sat down.
Meanwhile, the west tribe was in ruins as Monster Zero lands on the volcano as lava flowed on it's side.
Suddenly, the left neck showed signs of life with a clear layer of membrane as the middle head screeched. And then a snake-like tongue pierce through the skin as then the middle head bites down on the membrane of skin and tears it off as a red stump emerged from the neck. The middle head then roared as the left neck extended as then a head formed along with skin, spines, muscle and bone formed and fused together as it grew back with a disturbing sight to anyone who seen it.
Once the head was fused, Monster Zero then lifts up with his wings out and lets out a loud high-pitched wailing roar and chants out as if he was claiming the throne as yellow lightning flashed.
Many miles away, on a remote island, the ground shook as the screeching echoes from Monster Zero.
Then the ground exploded as then huge black crab-like legs shot out from the ground.
On another island covered in forest, the screeching echoes continued as then the ground shook as a mountain shifted and moved coming to life.
But it was actually a Titan as muffled roaring was heard as rose up and soon opened it's white eye.
At the Hidden World, Monster Zero's screeching call echoed through the cavern alerting every dragon as they panicked.
But instead of responding to it, they then flew off in sheer panic as they flew out of the caldera like bees from a destroyed hive. And soon scatter in different directions.
In the hidden bunker, Jonah, Drago and Embla were soon aware that the whole archipelago was surged of a mass awaking.
"I thought we were going to release them gradually." Jonah said. "1 at a time."
"I'm not the one doing this." Embla said completely shocked of what was happening.
At the west tribe, a yellow lightning bolt flashed as Rodan who has survived the attack lands near Monster Zero and bows to him like he was his king.
"Long live the king." Jonah said.
"I believe this is where we part ways now." Drago said and shook Jonah's hand.
They then live the room as Embla soon turned to Madge in tears of not seeing the mother she remembered. And Zephyr was with her as well.
"You're a monster." Madge said.
"How could you?" Zephyr said.
They then walked off as Embla could barely believe what was happening.
