Episode is "Colosseum Showdown"
Episode Summary: Peyton and Sarah find a new creature but were unable to scan him. So they went back to Chaotic and told Tom and Kaz what they saw. All four go back to Underworld City in search of the new creature. While searching, Kaz offends an Underworlder named Hammerdoom Chantcaller. Hammerdoom then challenges Kaz to a fight in the Underworld Colosseum. If he refuses to fight then Chaor will have no choice but to ban Kaz from the Underworld. Meanwhile, Peyton and Sarah find the creature they were looking for but the creature turns out to be a new battle gear Ulmar made. To help Kaz, they make a deal with Ulmar to borrow the battle gear so Kaz can use it in his fight. With the awesome new gear Kaz wins the fight.

So he got some gear.
Notes: I really enjoyed this episode. It gave some insight into how the Underworld functions and also shows that Chaor does care about Kaz since he showed up to watch the fight and stepped in when it looked like Kaz wouldn't be allowed to use the robot.
I wasn't sure if I should write why Kaz got into a fight in the haiku, but it seemed the episode wasn't really about why Hammerdoom was angry at Kaz. It was just a catalyst to get to the main plot points of the episode.
