Challenge Dunes: Day 28

Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Luigi - Little Mac - Princess Peach - Engineer - ROB - Samus Aran.

The survivors stood around the new pipe, placed between the Sherbet Land and Cave System pipes. There was far more haste with discovering and getting to this pipe than there was before, with the survivors catching and dashing to the newly built pipe right after jumping out of the Super Stars pipe. They were eager to get on with the challenge, and Alexa picked up on the attitude.

"You seem restless today!" He commented, placing his finger on the orange pipe. "Though, I think you should heed my words before you decide to dive head-first into that pipe."

"Uh oh..." Phoenix gulped. "This isn't going to be good, I can feel it," he thought.

Alexa then lifted his finger off and continued. "Next challenge is going to be a little different than the previous ones. Perhaps the same goes for all challenges, but what makes this challenge so special is something you don't wanna be apart of. Granted, the location itself is quite special. Make sure to drink it all in!"

The survivors nodded blankly before being given the command to enter the pipe. Samus, Little Mac, and then Engineer went in first, leaving the second alliance of ROB, Peach, Luigi, and Phoenix to succeed them. Finally, Alexa followed them.

Though the pipe ride felt as long as most of the Merge challenges, the survivors would be endlessly shocked to see what familiar location would lay on the other end of the pipeline...

?: Day 28

Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Luigi - Little Mac - Princess Peach - Engineer - ROB - Samus Aran.

Samus jumped from the pipe and onto the gritty beach sands, landing on an unknown yet familiar coastline of an unknown yet familiar location. The first thing to hit her was the gentle, warm breeze that hit her face. Following that, the second thing to hit her was the realization: she was back in the Tropics of the first and previous season of Survivor Crossover. In fact, she remembered the exact location she stood on, as it was the thickest stretch of coastline on the island. Samus was standing on the old challenge grounds of the island.

As Alexa had told her to do, she drank in the memories, almost remembering how aggressively she played it compared to this time. Sure, she still wasn't a social butterfly, but compared to last time, she was far more social, but still far more tactical.

The second person to erupt from the pipe was the other remaining veteran of the Tropics season of Survivor. Little Mac, similar to Samus, could immediately tell where he was and what island he was on just after a few seconds of stepping on the coast. Much like her, he was completely speechless, though he did expect a tribute to the first show to come sooner or later.

Last season, Little Mac held an alliance for a long time, having it dismantled and brought back as the Merge hit. Beyond that, his alliance lost member after member through betrayal or elimination until he himself was met with the chopping block. Though the memory wasn't a pleasant one, it served to him as a reminder that an alliance needs more than just the size in order to be effective.

The two silently stood side by side. The boxer stared into the thickly forested section of the island, where the three old tribes and Tribal Council resided at. Meanwhile, Samus stared at the mesmerizing horizon, remembering having to travel to the Merge challenges by boat as opposed to the awfully convenient pipes that had her, Little Mac, and the used to arrive here.

Engineer jumped out to see the other two gawking at the surroundings, and though he and everyone else still to emerge from the pipe never experienced the first season, he seemingly got the idea from the reminiscent expressions from Samus and Little Mac.

One by one, the other four came out of the pipe, joining Samus and Little Mac in silently staring around the area, some assuming it to be the Tropical Locale of the first season, others completely lost.

"Wow..." Little Mac was breathless. The memories continued to flood in. "What an experience this place was! Back when I had no clue on how this game would pan out or end."

"Back when the climate was tolerable, and back when the challenges were easier! Those were the good times, though I would easily trade some of the people I was trapped in there with for the guys I got right now. Some were just... downright nuts." - Little Mac.

ROB gazed to the ground. "I suppose these were the old challenge grounds of Survivor Crossover's previous season, correct?"

"H-how did you know?!" He gasped, returning to his speechless state.

Through a sigh, Phoenix gave a friendly reminder. "You should know that ROB can just figure stuff like that out by now. He just scanned the ground and found out where we were on this island."

"Actually, it was simply an estimated guess," the bot confessed. "A challenge revisiting an old area would surely take place in said old area's challenge area, correct?"

"Bold logic and you're right!" Exclaimed Alexa, stepping from behind. "Welcome back to the Tropical region of Survivor Crossover's first season! A long while ago, twenty survivors were placed onto this island to duke it out until three remained. From that point, a Jury that had been built up since a team-Merge phase were given the task of choosing the winner. And, all those months later, I've gathered fourteen more of you, plus six veterans, to take you to a barren yet open wasteland of a desert. Perhaps the two veterans that are still here would argue that the first season was easier to live in, but don't get the wrong idea. This challenge is still going to be a grueling one, and it holds an equally grueling fate for the losers!"

He continued to walk forward until he was ahead of Little Mac and Samus, planting his feet on the old coastline of the island. "This place, since the end of the show, has been deserted. The old two team tribes, Laau Pama and Haupia, have been overcome by nature, and even the Merge tribe: Laau Haupa, is nothing more than the rocky center of the island. Despite the loss of everything, this place will forever hold a massive legacy to the show. So, what better way than to have the second-to-last Merge challenge take place here!"

"I'm dreading what Alexa wants us to do. Explore the entire island for artifacts? Go through a gauntlet of challenges from the previous season? Take on the winner of the first season!? Who knows what it could be..." - Phoenix Wright.

"Maybe that's enough rambling about the island and its history. It's time to move on to the main meat of why you're here: the challenge itself!" Alexa cleared his throat:

*Today's challenge contains three trials related to the first season and its tropical environment. The first of these three trials will represent your strength, accuracy, and strategy. The second trial will represent your logic and research of the first season. Finally, the third and final trial is one that I cannot explain just yet, but do take note that it's the trial that matters the most. As we get to each trial, I'll explain to you the rules in greater detail. But for now, I'll allow you to mentally and physically prepare yourself for these three trials.

After each trial, the top survivors in the trial will be rewarded handsomely. They will receive immunity, meaning that they will not have to take part in the trials that remain. Hence, it's important to try and score that immunity on the first or second trial, as the third trial will not be as simple when it comes to receiving immunity...*

"For now, that's your vague idea on what will happen," said Alexa. "However, before we begin our first trial, I would like to announce one last important thing. Listen up!"

He pointed to Samus and Little Mac. "You two, please step forward."

With nervousness, the two of them shuffled forward until they were a few feet away from Alexa.

"From the second you joined Survivor Crossover: Dry Dry Desert, you were disadvantaged. You weren't lucky or skillful enough to become the first season's Sole Survivor, but with many people aware of your tactics, it made getting around much harder for the two of you. As a result, your status as veteran will receive you the first, last, and therefore only reward in this season. The two of you will not be taking part in this challenge...

...You have guaranteed immunity."

The two of them gasped audibly. Even Samus was choked up by the reveal. She had been fighting for her life just like she had the first time, and with things much harder thanks to the smarter and stronger opponents she's had to face, getting a guaranteed spot in the final six this easily was impossible for her to comprehend at first. It was almost anti-climactic in a way, but could she really complain? As for Little Mac, he had gotten it much easier than Samus in terms of being targeted up until recently, where he was forced to team up with his own previous enemy just so he could claw his way an inch or two further into the game. Both were safe, and the rest of the island fell silent.

Engineer, Luigi, Peach, Phoenix, and ROB. One of these five would be leaving Survivor Crossover: Dry Dry Desert by the end of the night.

"This is bad." Phoenix bit his lip, sweating profusely. "I'm getting a feeling that this just might be the end unless I pull through with immunity."

Engineer shook his head with immeasurable relief. "Well, I'll be damned. Looks like I can only rely on ma'self to stay safe," he said to himself.

Alexa, killing the deafening silence, moving on from his announcement. "Let's get on with it! The first trial is right behind you five."

They all turned around to see an army of buoys behind them, much like the ones they encountered at the Forest of Illusion's river. These, however, were specifically color-coded into four different colors.

"Familiar?" He asked, tapping Little Mac and Samus's shoulders.

"The first challenge we did," he whispered under his breath. "I remember dominating in that challenge!" He grinned. "You got this, Engie!"

The host continued. "As said by Little Mac, the first trial will be a direct callback to the first-ever challenge in Survivor Crossover. Allow me to explain, for those who are unaware:"

TRIAL A - Buoy Madness!

Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Luigi - Princess Peach - Engineer - ROB.

*Each survivor will have three turns throwing a large wooden ball with rope attached, which we'll refer to as a hammer. You will grab it by the rope, swing it around you in a circle repeatedly, and then you'll finish it off by swinging it into the horizon. You aren't just aiming into nothingness, however. There are four buoys equally spaced out from one another, and those are the buoys that you want to aim for. But, as you can clearly see, there is an abundance of black buoys floating far away from these colored buoys. The closest buoy to your hammer will score you a certain number of points depending on the color:

Green Buoy: 25 meters away from the coast. Worth 1 point.

Yellow Buoy: 50 meters away from the coast. Worth 3 points.

Red Buoy: 75 meters away from the coast. Worth 6 points.

Purple Buoy: 100 meters away from the coast. Worth 10 points.

Black Buoy: scattered around the ocean. Worth -1 points.

If you manage to throw your hammer backward and into the island, then that scores you zero points.

In the end, the two survivors with the overall highest score will receive immunity, excluding them from participating in the further two trials alongside Little Mac and Samus Aran.*

"Sounds simple enough," Peach slowly nodded. "If it served to be the introductory challenge to the show, then surely it can't be an awful experience."

Alexa smirked. "It likely won't, but just know that as long as you don't get to that third trial, you'll be completely okay!"

"He really is-a making the third trial out to-a be terrible..." Said Luigi.

He clasped his hands. "In alphabetical order, let's start with Engineer! He has three shots to get as high of a score as he can muster. If his score isn't good enough, then he's going to have to fight again in the second trial."

ROUND 1 - ENGINEER

With a spring in his step, the Texan marched towards one of the several hammers in front of him, grabbing a random one and momentarily inspecting it. This challenge might have been the first-ever challenge introduced to the survivors, but he had a feeling that underestimating it would only make things worse for him.

He dragged his feet over to a white circle that had been plastered onto the coastline, stepping inside and stretching his arms. After this was done, he got to work on throwing his first hammer of three.

"Just stay steady," he said to himself. "Stay steady or you ain't gettin' through this challenge."

Engineer held the rope in his right hand and the ball itself on his left. Following a long, deep breath, he quickly lowered his left hand, dropping the ball and quickly using both hands to grab the rope. From that point, he began spinning, picking up more and more speed as the ball flailed around him. His strategy was to throw it after a few spins in order to prevent himself from becoming dizzy, but his lack of courage, spawned from his gradually increasing speed and feeling of instability, resulted in him postponing the throw.

But, eventually... he let go...

The ball soared through the air, the rope dangling behind as it traveled at a decently straight angle. Engineer was surprised to have gotten the angle right first try, but his doubts of getting a high score rung true as the ball landed just past the yellow buoy. Unfortunately, whilst his horizontal angle was great, the opposite could be said for his vertical angle. That and his handling of the ball resulted in a weaker toss.

"The closest buoy to Engineer's hammer is clearly the yellow one, meaning that three points have been added to his current total of zero!" Alexa announced.

Not too pleased with his throw strength-wise, he retraced his steps and fetched his second hammer. This time, he was hoping that he would be more used to the feeling of spinning the ball around him, and that might potentially give him a better vertical angle and handling. Despite his confidence in bettering those two flaws from his last attempt, he was unsure on if it was enough to get close enough to the red buoy.

He returned to the circle and fastened his grip on the rope, repeating the same process of dropping the ball and using his now-free hand to also clutch the rope. This time, his spin was far faster, though the stability was just as inconsistent as it was in the first throw. With two spins less than before, Engineer threw the hammer.

Compared to before, this throw was a polar opposite in the things Engineer had done right and the things he had done wrong. His speed and vertical height were on point, enough to have his ball soar beyond the yellow buoy and closer to the red buoy, but the biggest drawback was his sloppy angle, resulting in his ball landing between the red buoy and a distant black buoy.

"Shoot, that looks close!" Alexa gazed towards the hammer. "We'll need some measurements to see whether you hit a black buoy or a red buoy."

A few commands through his walkie-talkie later, and the host eventually came to his conclusion. "Engineer..."

"I ain't a fan of that tone; I gotta admit-"

"Lucky you! The ball is just a few feet closer to the red buoy than it is towards the black one," he declared. "Meaning that your total has so far been increased to nine. Not bad, but you'll need a big number for this next throw if you want a good chance of staying at the top."

Engineer gritted his teeth and walked off to retrieve his final hammer ball. This next throw would mean everything, but he highly doubted it'd be enough to get to purple. After all, perfecting the speed and height only got him close to the red buoy, so would fixing the horizontal angle do enough good? He shook his head and cleared his mind, approaching the white circle for the last time.

As with his last two shots, he repeated the same pattern up until the swing, where he planted his feet firmly on the ground, gaining similarly fast speeds than before, but remaining more stable. All he needed was a throw far enough to get closer to purple than red, but he at least wanted another red just for a decent total. And so, he let go...

Unfortunately, whilst his angle and height improved, his strength clearly wasn't as good as the last throw. He barely managed to get his hammer into red territory, but his dreams of getting four extra points from landing it closer to purple were crushed.

"The hammer is clearly closer to red than yellow! That brings Engineer's overall total to... an average fifteen points!" Alexa cheered. "It's not a great score, but you never know how much people may struggle in this particular trial. Next up is Luigi! Will he beat Engineer's score? There's only one way to find out!"

As Luigi and Engineer swapped positions, Little Mac and Samus fell anxious for his safety in this trial. Things aligned perfectly for them, so all Engineer had to do was win a single trial.

ROUND 2 - LUIGI

Luigi was always nervous going into challenges, expecting each one to end terribly for him and him only, whether it be through bad luck or being outclassed in spite of his well-rounded physique. In this trial, his thoughts were different. Luigi had high confidence in his ability, knowing that his brother Mario did extraordinarily well when he participated in this challenge. The plumber knew his own ability wasn't too far off his brother's, being able to lift most things Mario was capable of lifting.

So, when he stepped forward with bizarrely high optimism and determination visibly showing on his face and posture, the others felt intimidated.

He grabbed the hammer and swung it back and forth, walking over to the white circle where he would take aim at the buoys. Though he believed that he could stay immune, he couldn't stop the tension of accomplishing that from creeping into his mind, threatening his performance. With a head shake and a focused mind, he began swinging the rope around him.

The swinging was fast, uniform, and impressively stable. If Luigi aimed just right, he'd score a purple easily, but the hardest part of throwing the hammer ball was aiming it straight enough to even land near the buoys that scored points. After four full spins, the plumber let go, and cautiously watched it fly high into the air.

As expected, his speed was perfect and his height was perfect. And, conveniently, his angling was also perfect. After five seconds of soaring through the air, the hammer struck the purple buoy head-on before plopping in front of it. Luigi couldn't have done a more perfect throw, and it knocked the others off of their feet.

"Luigi starts strong with ten points!"

With more confidence from the good result, Luigi jumped into the air triumphantly. From that point, he ran over to his second hammer, grabbing it and running to the white circle with far more gusto than before. By this point, Engineer accepted his defeat against Luigi.

As he hopped into the circle, he began spinning identically to before. The same number of spins; the same posture; the same speed. By the time he threw it, even the height and angle were very similar to his previous throw. However, this throw was sloppier, with his hammer landing five or so metres behind where it was before. Even so, he had still scored another purple buoy.

"INCREDIBLE! Luigi earns yet another ten points and brings his current total to twenty! One more good shot and I'd say his chances of getting through would be one-hundred percent," explained Alexa.

With starry eyes, the plumber approached his final hammer ball. The tension of getting another ten somehow brought more anxiety to him than in the first and second attempts. Still, he wouldn't let any of it get to him, and he walked onto the circle and geared up for his final throw.

His pattern was now clear by this point. His posture and strength were once again exactly the same, which sold the idea that he would get another ten to all of the survivors who spectated him.

After a few spins, Luigi let go of the hammer ball for the last time...

"Waaaah?!"

He cowered upon seeing the hammer fly far away from the colored buoys, zipping past and besides the sea of black buoys that surrounded the ocean. Whilst everything was on point, he had let go of the hammer far too early, missing out on a total of thirty. To make matters worse, he would have a point SUBTRACTED from his total due to the terrible performance. Once again, Luigi was back to worrying.

"Unfortunate! Luigi's pattern has crashed, and the plumber's total has decreased down to nineteen. Luckily, his two previous throws might just save him from immunity," assured Alexa. "The next survivor to throw is going to be Phoenix Wright!"

With an uneasy gulp, Phoenix stepped forward...

ROUND 3 - PHOENIX WRIGHT

Even though he would have to gain a score high enough to beat the next two survivors that were to perform after him, Phoenix felt as if he was already outclassed compared to the Engineer and Luigi alone. The latter scored two downright perfect shots, and if not for a big mistake, would have gotten thirty points flawlessly. As for Engineer, he spent a good chunk of his time on the battlefield hauling bulky buildings and fending for himself, so despite him being similar to Phoenix, there was still an obvious victor.

He reached the three hammers he would be throwing and chose the closest one to him. Upon holding it, he was shocked to see that it was much heavier than he thought.

"How am I supposed to throw this far?!" He thought, panicking more and more as he awkwardly approached the white circle.

Upon standing in it, he sighed and recalled Engineer and Luigi's techniques. Spinning straight, fast, and not for too long was key, but once again, he was aware of how much stronger they were in comparison, so would optimizing everything else be worth it? Phoenix was ready to answer that question.

Mimicking Engineer's technique of dropping the ball and immediately switching his hand to the rope, he began his first attempt.

Controlling the ball was, to his merit, smoother than he had anticipated. It was almost like the ball was doing most of the work for him, but the bulk of the throw would rely on his timing and accuracy, both of which were things that Phoenix was decent at.

After a slightly sloppy finish to his spin, Phoenix let go of the rope, and the ball glided past the green buoy and towards the yellow buoy. Luckily for him, it landed slightly closer to the yellow buoy than it did towards the green buoy. Even luckier, it was also slightly closer to the yellow buoy than it was to any of the surrounding black buoys on his right.

"That was close! But, Phoenix appears to have won himself three points!"

He was glad to have not gotten into the green buoy territory, and he was even more glad to have not gotten into the black buoy territory, but Phoenix was not anywhere near satisfied with that result. He needed twelve more points to at least draw with Engineer, which would require two red buoys and a whole lot of skill. The worst part about that task was the fact that Peach and ROB could just swipe immunity from him anyway.

Approaching the hammers again, he picked up his second one and marched over to the white circle. A few gusts of air expelled from his mouth as he prepared himself for a perfect throw. Soon enough, he was once again swinging the hammer ball by its rope.

One full swing extra than before, and Phoenix had let go. Once again, his strength and angling were sub-par, but his height allowed him to get much further than before. At the end of its flight, the ball crashed into the water beside the yellow buoy.

Phoenix sighed. Yet another throw that was just not good enough.

"An improvement from before, though Phoenix still earns three points. This brings his total to... six points!"

As he walked over to his final hammer, he began to hope that he would somehow score a purple buoy on his last throw.

"Come on, just give me a strong gust of wind," he uttered, dragging it to the white circle.

With no time wasted, Phoenix began swinging immediately as he stepped into position, swinging it wildly and with minimal stability before catapulting it over the sea. His strength, angling, and height were improved, though it was still not enough to reach the red buoy. Instead, it bounced off of the side of the yellow buoy, landing just ahead of it.

"An improvement each time, but to little avail!" Pouted Alexa. "Unfortunately for Phoenix, his total of nine points is lower than two individuals! Those two being Engineer and Luigi."

Huffing with disappointment, he moved away from the circle and back into the crowd.

"Next up is Princess Peach!"

ROUND 4 - PRINCESS PEACH

From spectator to player, Peach jumped into life and walked further out onto the coast, grabbing one of her hammers on the way. In order to guarantee immunity, she would have to surpass nineteen total points, which would require at least two of her three hammers to land closest to a red buoy and the third to land closest to a purple one. It would be a tough job, but certainly possible for her, especially thanks to the massive mistake Luigi had made on his final throw.

Getting herself into position, Peach swung the hammer wildly around her. The spin was stable, fast, and devoid of error. After four spins, she let go of the hammer, watching it flail at a sub-par angle across the sea, eventually slamming into the sea between the yellow and red buoys.

As Alexa eyed its location, he scratched his head. "Sheesh, looks like we have another result that's just too difficult to tell using the naked eye."

"That's not a great start," she admitted, placing her hands on her hips and attempting to make out the results herself. Much like Alexa, she couldn't determine whether it was closer to red or purple, not like the opinion of the one throwing would have mattered to the host.

Like before, her results were postponed by a few extra minutes, Alexa communicating to some staff spread out and around the challenge, most of which located in boats. After getting his answer, he turned to Peach. "After some careful examination... your hammer is SLIGHTLY more towards the red buoy's territory than it is towards the yellow, meaning you start off strong with six points!"

With a sigh of relief, she got back to it. No mistakes were made when gearing up for the throw, but her angle and speed on the spin could have been improved drastically. If she fully perfected those two, then perhaps she would end up defeating Luigi's nineteen total.

On her second throw, she got to work on fine-tuning her throw. She spun around faster, cleaner, and threw her hammer ball at an angle superior to the last. Peach had a feeling she wouldn't go from barely getting a red buoy to a purple buoy after one attempt, but she was surprised to have her ball soar past the red buoy and land nearby it. It was eight meters off of purple territory.

"Once again, Peach earns herself six points! At this rate, she'll snatch Engineer's second place away."

Though Alexa's words sounded good, the princess saw a lower score than Luigi as fatal. Due to ROB's coordination, strength, and timing, it wouldn't be a surprise to her if he received a perfect thirty. Thus, her only chance to stay immune was to get eight meters closer to the purple buoy.

On her last throw, she fine-tuned her performance further. Her spin was even faster than before, contained a risky extra spin, and was slightly sloppier in executing it. As she tossed it off the shore for the last time, Peach quickly realized that, whilst her speed would have been enough to reach purple, her vertical and horizontal angling was weak. Hence, she was just as close to the red buoy as she was in her second throw.

"Ouch, bad luck for Engineer! Peach steals the second-place spot, meaning that she and Luigi will both receive immunity if ROB were to score lower than her total of eighteen points," explained Alexa.

"Which isn't going to happen..." She added under her breath.

ROUND 5 - ROB

Before ROB stood forward, he moved over to Peach and discretely suggested an idea he had to her. "Would it not be easier if I purposefully handed you the win by undershooting my throws?"

"It would be much easier," she stated. "But I don't want you doing that. My score is my score, and it wouldn't feel right if someone gave me the win. Please do your very best."

"That logic isn't optimal, but it's certainly fair," ROB slowly began accelerating forward. "Well then, I'll give the challenge my all."

With confidence, he approached the first hammer, glided over to the circle, and began his swing immediately. Unlike the prior throws, ROB simply spun his disjointed limbs as fast as he could, racking up an incredible amount of speed in such a short amount of time. After building up enough speed, he calculated the perfect trajectory needed to land at the purple buoy and let go.

In only a few seconds, the ball exited his grasp, flew over the ocean, and slammed into the purple buoy.

"...Incredible! That's ten points for ROB!" Exclaimed Alexa, peering over to see that the white circle was completely empty. "R-...ROB?!"

After further investigation, he spotted that the robot had fetched his second hammer whilst his first had traveled. That fact alone made the others around him aggravated.

"He may be in the same alliance as me, but this is just completely unfair! We all targeted Jotaro for his strength and accuracy, but little did we know that ROB was pretty close to that... well, besides the ability to stop time." - Phoenix Wright.

Awestruck, they watched as he approached the circle and repeated the process in an identical manner. Literally nothing was different about this throw, from the set-up to the trajectory to the speed that the hammer traveled in. ROB was unstoppable, and as his hammer landed on the purple territory once more, Alexa brought his total up to twenty, already securing his immunity and pushing Peach back into vulnerability.

The survivors were too defeated to pay much attention to his final throw, but to nobody's surprise, he landed his final hammer next to the purple buoy, raising his total to the maximum possible.

"INCREDIBLE! ROB earns himself a thirty-point total," Alexa applauded, shifting his sight to the other, more glum-looking survivors. "There wasn't much to keep track of, so I'm sure you four know who's making it through and who isn't. But JUST in case your memory is acting up, allow me to recap:

ROB - 30.

Luigi - 19.

Princess Peach - 18.

Engineer - 15.

Phoenix Wright - 9.

Overall, ROB and Luigi receive their immunity, and thus have to stay in this challenge no longer!" He proclaimed. "As for Peach, Engineer, and Phoenix, you three will be advancing to the second trial. Your last chance to avoid oncoming danger, might I remind."

"Again, he's reminding us of that third trial and how supposedly terrible it is for us," Phoenix began stroking his chin with curiosity. "It's strange. Even if there was one victor from each trial that won immunity, there would be only one person vulnerable by the end of the third trial... perhaps, the loser of the third trial is straight-up eliminated?!"

Alexa snapped his fingers hastily. "ROB and Luigi, please depart from the group and join Little Mac and Samus as the spectators."

With a few exchanges of "good luck" and other sportsmanship, the two joined the others in immunity.

Now that they were to one side, the host continued the tour of the island. "Just like that, your first trial is over. You three remain, and one of you will be leaving Survivor Crossover by the end of tonight. Our next trial will take place deep into the forest, into an overgrown yet fairly recognizable zone. Please follow me, survivors."

Island Forest: Day 28

Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Luigi - Little Mac - Princess Peach - Engineer - ROB - Samus Aran.

Journeying from the coast to the specific location was a long walk. They trekked through dense shrubbery, open forested areas, and even close by to the old, overgrown tribe of Laau Pama. Soon enough, they were on the opposite side of the island, still located in the forest, but close to shore. They were also fairly close by to the old Tribal Council area, but the specific location that they were taken to was none other than the resting place of those who failed to nab the first season's prizes...

The Survivor Graveyard.

Due to the usage of metal fencing and stone graves, this part of the island was quite possibly the least affected by nature. Regardless, vines censored the worn writing on the gravestones, the metal fencing had begun to rust at the bottom. The one thing that hadn't changed, however, was the tense aura that the place possessed.

"Welcome to the Survivor Graveyard. The torch of every eliminated survivor back in the tropics had been placed here, but since that fateful season, the torches have been removed, and the gravestone's writing had been worn out into gibberish. This is the setting of your second trial," said Alexa. "Please allow me to explain this trial:"

TRIAL B - Resurrection!

Survivors: Phoenix Wright - Princess Peach - Engineer.

*For this trial, you three will be tasked with breathing the life and meaning of the Survivor Graveyard back into itself. Behind each of these gravestones is a painted, red number from four to twenty. Additionally, at the far back of the graveyard is a podium containing the numbers one, two, and three. The three of you will receive twenty torches containing the names of past survivors that participated in Survivor Crossover: Tropics on the handle.

The aim of this challenge is all down to your research and memory of the first season. As you may have recalled, it was advised that all survivors attending studied the first season to get a good idea of what the show could be like and the types of twists and turns that were in store. This trial is to put that homework to the test. Every round, I will say the name of a competing survivor from the first season. As I say that name, you will grab the torch with that survivor's name on it and place it down on the numbered gravestone that they were ranked in. For example, if I said Johnny Bravo, and you think he ranked nineteenth, then you would put his torch on the gravestone with the number nineteen on it. You will have a full minute to make this decision.

At the end of these twenty rounds, the answer and order will be revealed. The survivor with the most correct placements will receive immunity, sparing them from the dreaded final trial.

Oh, and one last thing in case it wasn't obvious enough: Little Mac, Samus, or any other spectator for that matter will not be allowed to give you any of the answers.

Good luck!*

"Finally! A challenge that uses educated guesses, logic, and studying. If my memory's correct, then this shouldn't be too difficult. The only thing I'm worried about is Engineer and Peach. Both of them seem like the type of people to know this stuff too." - Phoenix Wright.

"Uh oh... this doesn't seem like a challenge in my favor. Mario has told me plenty about his journey throughout his stay here, but I'm not confident that I'll be able to recall every little detail." - Princess Peach.

"Didn't know he'd take the research recommendation so seriously. Good thing I know plenty about what happened then, it's just a few fuzzy events that I might screw up on." - Engineer.

The three were given boxes filled with the torches, looking through each name on it. Shortly after doing so, Alexa prepared to begin the challenge.

"Survivors... the first round of twenty is about to begin. Remember, you only have one minute of thinking time. Oh, and I'll be able to easily tell if you steal the answers from the others participating, so don't even think about doing that."

In sync, they nodded back at him.

"Very well. For your first round, you will have to find the ranking of... Wario!"

Engineer and Phoenix both paused to think about it as Peach immediately knew who to pick.

After a minute passed, Alexa turned to them. "You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

The three of them honed in on grave sixteen, placing their torches by it.

"All of you have selected grave number sixteen!" He commented. "For the second round, find the ranking of... Arataka Reigen!"

This time, the tables had turned on Peach. She was now the one who spent the most amount of time thinking, whilst the others came to their answer quickly.

A minute later, the message came. "You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Engineer and Phoenix both chose grave seven. Meanwhile, Peach chose grave six.

"Peach appears to be the lone wolf on that guess! Now, for the third round, find the ranking of... King Dedede!"

The three of them thought long and hard about this particular ranking. Eventually, when time ran out, they were forced to make an assumption.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Peach approached grave eight, placing her torch against it.

With one number up, Phoenix approached grave nine and placed his torch there.

Lastly, Engineer placed his torch at grave ten.

"Looks like you all have a different idea. Moving on, your fourth round requires you to find the ranking of... Papyrus!"

Peach didn't require much thought, and the same went for Phoenix. Engineer, however, began doubting his own guess, but eventually settled on knocking away the doubt using logic.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Much like the first round, they all honed in on one area. This time, it was the podium that held the number three. Peach, Engineer, and Phoenix all left their torches beside it.

"Once again, you all think alike! Your next and fifth ranking is... Soldier!"

Engineer knew his placement immediately. They were acquaintances, after all. As for Phoenix and Peach, they were struggling.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Whilst Peach and Phoenix opted for grave eighteen, Engineer opted for grave seventeen.

"W-wait..." Muttered Phoenix. "If Laau Pama lost the first and third challenge, that means someone from their tribe would have been eighteenth... which means, I put the wrong answer!"

As the lawyer kicked himself, Alexa moved on. "Alright, for round six, find the ranking of... Peter Griffin!"

Conveniently, Peter was the guess that Phoenix expected to have ranked eighteenth. There was no rule saying that he couldn't just place his torch on the same grave, so his answer was ready. Similarly, Engineer and Peach didn't have much thinking time.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Confusing some, Phoenix placed his next torch on grave eighteen alongside Engineer. As for Peach, she placed her torch on grave seventeen.

"For round seven, find the ranking of... Captain Falcon!"

This round flew by instantly, with the survivors not requiring any time to think. Still, they were forced to wait a whole minute before they were allowed to give their guesses.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

All of them approached and placed their torches on the middle of the podium, where the number one was located.

"I dig your confidence! Now, for round eight, find the ranking of... Mario!"

This round would have been identical to the one before it, from the three not having to take much thought to the overwhelming confidence in their answers. However, Engineer began having doubts once again.

"If Phoenix can place his torch in the same spot, then maybe me placin' my torch by Papyrus's would be safer in the long-term," he thought. "Aww hell, it's worth a shot."

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Phoenix and Peach both approached the final place on the podium, where number two was located. As for Engineer, he placed his torch by the number three segment.

"What is he doing?!" Little Mac winced, commentating from a distance.

"For round nine, find the ranking of... Gordon Ramsay!"

Due to his elimination being close to a checkpoint in the show, the three had a good guess of where he was.

Unfortunately for Dell, he was once again having doubts. Now he was unsure on whether the merge took place when twelve survivors remained or when eleven survivors remained. He would have to guess.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Peach and Phoenix placed their torches by grave twelve, leaving Engineer to place his by grave eleven. But, as he did so, he suddenly shook his head with embarrassment.

"Aw hell, I forgot that Sonic fella rejoined the show after the merge," he grunted. "And it's damn too late to change my pick."

"For the tenth round, which also highlights the halfway point of this challenge, please find the ranking of... Geoffrey Butler!"

The three of them took a while to think, though Phoenix and Peach seemed to be the most confident in their answers, which were ironically different from one another.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Engineer and Phoenix both selected grave fourteen, leaving Peach on her lonesome. Her torch was on grave thirteen.

"We're past the halfway point!" Announced Alexa. "It kills me to not give any current standings on how well you guys are doing, but that's how the challenge rolls. What I will tell you, however, is that none of you are tied."

The hint was pretty useless, as none of them knew who was first or last, and by how much. All they knew is that there was a current victor, meaning estimated guesses for when they draw a blank will be crucial to their victory.

"Starting at the eleventh round, find the ranking of... Little Mac!"

Engineer and Phoenix struggled a small bit but eventually rose up with confident answers. As for Peach, she would have to rely on an educated guess if she wanted to get it right.

"I'm likely very far behind. The only rankings I know with confidence are the ones Mario talked about the most." - Princess Peach.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Peach further lost confidence in her answer as she noticed that nobody approached grave nine with her. Meanwhile, Phoenix and Engineer approached grave eight together.

"At round twelve, you must find the ranking of... Wii Fit Trainer!"

They all knew about the Finale challenges and eliminations well, and so this was an easy task for all three of them.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

The three approached grave four, placed at the end of the graveyard.

"You seem confident," Alexa said. "For the thirteenth round, find me the ranking of... Sonic the Hedgehog!"

Much like Wii Fit Trainer, they had little to no trouble remembering his specific ranking in the first season.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Engineer, Peach, and Phoenix approached grave six and slotted their torches onto it.

"Another confident answer!" Remarked the host. "You are now on round fourteen, and your next task is to find the ranking of... Squidward Tentacles!"

Under the assumption that Squidward had been eliminated after Geoffrey, Phoenix and Engineer knew where to place their torches. And although Peach had already placed a torch at grave thirteen, she remembered that Squidward was the last contestant to be eliminated before the Merge.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

For the third time in a row, they all approached the same grave, this time grave thirteen.

"Only six more rounds to go! Starting with round fifteen, in which you'll be finding the ranking of... Johnny Bravo!"

"I'm surprised he wasn't twentieth," muttered Peach, shivering over both the horror stories Mario had told involving him and the few unpleasant interactions they had.

As for knowing his placement, Engineer recalled his elimination being straight after Gordon, and now that he recognized his earlier mistake, he'd be able to make back a single point.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

All of them approached grave eleven, placing their torches by it.

"You guys seem to be grouping up a lot, which guarantees the game to end close!" Alexa noted. "Only five rounds to go. For round sixteen, find me the ranking of... Josuke Higashikata."

Now things were beginning to get tough again. Whilst Phoenix pulled through, staying determined to get the ranking as right as possible, Engineer and Peach were a little unsure of his specific placement.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

Peach approached grave ten, a little relieved to see Phoenix do the same. As for Engineer, he stuck with grave nine.

"Alright! For round seventeen, find the ranking of... Dr. Eggman!"

The three of them didn't have to think for long before coming to their conclusion. They vividly remembered learning that Eggman was the first-ever survivor to leave the show.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

In a small cluster, they approached the entrance of the graveyard and placed their torches on grave twenty.

Though the round came closer and closer to its end, things got easier and easier for them. Only a handful of options remained, meaning that it was easier for them to figure out where to place their torches.

"For round eighteen, marking the first of the three final rounds, find the ranking of... Mr. Krabs!"

The three all stared towards grave fifteen, aware of the fact that Mr. Krabs had been eliminated straight after Wario.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

As predicted, they placed their torches by the same grave. All they had left were two torches.

"For the second-to-last round, find the ranking of... Samus Aran!"

By this point, they used basic common sense. Phoenix, Engineer, and Peach all knew that Samus made it far, and with only a few graves remaining that held no torch, they quickly figured out where to put theirs.

"You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank."

They all approached and slotted their torches into grave five, getting back into position as Alexa began the final round.

"With your final torch, find the ranking of... Gruntilda Winkybunion!"

Once again, common sense was used. From what they could remember, she was a very bitter, obnoxious player. Using that fact, they deduced that she could only be in grave nineteen, granted if their other torch placements were correct.

"For the final time, You may now choose the gravestone that represents their rank!" Yelled Alexa. "Finally, now I can stop repeating that godforsaken sentence," he quietly added.

Shortly after placing their last torch at grave nineteen, Alexa looked around the graveyard and placed his hands onto his hips, looking around. "The three of you played very well. It may seem like an easy challenge at first glance, but under the pressure of a challenge, it's far harder than it looks. I've been tallying your points throughout the whole challenge, and while it got very easy towards the end, the bulk of error lies within the first half of the challenge."

They swiftly bobbed their heads, unsure of how well they did and if it would be enough to receive immunity.

"With that all said and done, there is a very clear winner here; much like how it was at the halfway point, there are no ties between any of you. In fact, the gaps between you are a lot bigger than I thought, though you all scored pretty high," Alexa shrugged. "Let's start by revealing who third place is. Over these twenty rounds, they have accumulated fourteen points. That person is..." He held his tongue for a few seconds. "...Princess Peach!"

Though surprised her score was that high, Peach was very unhappy with being last place. What made matters worse was her guaranteed participation in the so-called brutal third trial, so not only would she continue to fend her stay in the show, she would do so under an apparently awful setting.

Alexa continued, a grin spreading across his face. "Let's move onto my favorite part, which is selecting first place and the misfortunate runner-up! In second place, fewer mistakes were made, and their score was a very impressive sixteen points. That person is..."

A long pause scented the air with apprehension. Between Engineer and Phoenix, only one will be dodging the bullet. Plus, from what Alexa implied, they assumed the victor would have had a great lead over the loser. Who that person was yet to be revealed by Alexa, though Engineer had a suspicion that his doubts and errors put him too far back to beat Phoenix.

"Engineer! Meaning that Phoenix has come out on top of the second trial!" He hollered, applauding the lawyer. "At an oh-so impressive nineteen points, you have won immunity for yourself, forcing these two to duel it out in the final trial."

"I-I won!" He stuttered, exalted beyond words. It was warranted, as this was his first time coming first in a challenge by himself. Before, he had either barely made the cut for immunity or was straight-up vulnerable for the night. Now he was on top, and it felt gratifying.

The same couldn't be said for Engineer and Peach, both nervous over their fates. Contrary to what both alliances had wanted, this third trial would be a showdown between one member of each.

"Don't worry Engie, we'll be giving you all the motivation you need to win this next challenge. You got this!" Cheered Little Mac.

Alexa, overhearing his promise, turned around. "I don't think that'll be happening, Mac."

"Huh?!" He gasped. "Are you... are you saying that motivation is against the rules all of a sudden?!"

He gave a hearty laugh, shaking his head. "Not at all! But, you or the others won't get the chance to root for your allies for this next trial. In fact, the five of you will not be around for the next trial at all, as you'll be leaving the island very shortly, leaving these two to duke things out by themselves."

"We'll be leaving?" Questioned ROB. "I suppose that means the only person who'll know the eliminee for tonight will be the one who survives this unknown third trial."

Alexa confirmed his suspicions. "Indeed! This next trial will dictate who stays and who leaves, which is primarily why I wanted you guys to avoid it so badly. Oh, and as a bonus, you won't be seeing the winner of this trial until tomorrow morning! The anticipation of not knowing the eliminated until the next morning will surely keep the majority of you awake. Or, perhaps, you just might not care."

"Well, I know zero of us are in that camp of not caring..." Groaned Phoenix.

"Is that so?" He queried. "Oh well! May the five of you immune individuals please leave the old island of Survivor Crossover: Tropics?"

They did as he commanded, exchanging "good luck" comments and motivation to either Engineer or Peach as they left the graveyard.

"How empty does it feel now?" Alexa questioned. "Only two of you remain, and only one of you will return to the desert and Super Stars tribe. You may already know that, but just know how far you've gotten in this show! Through the twists, merges, challenges, rock draws, and idols, you two have made it to the final seven. Surely, you wouldn't want to lose it all without a fight, correct?"

Engineer removed his hat. "I've fought tooth and nail to get here. Like hell am I going out, period."

"I'm too close to the Finale to leave now. Doing so would be an underwhelming end to my stay here!" Confessed Peach.

"Well, are you both ready to face the final trial?"

Both of them nodded.

"Then let's get started. Please, follow me," he beckoned, walking out of the graveyard.

With fight coursing through them, they quickly followed him through the dense forest...

Old Tribal Council: Night 28

Survivors: Princess Peach - Engineer - ? - ? - ? - ? - ? - ? - ?.

Though they didn't exactly recognize it, Peach and Engineer made out that the area that Alexa was leading them into was Tribal Council. From the several walkways leading to and from it to the gloomy torches that set up similar lighting to the Koopa Sphinx's Tribal Council, to the hard-to-describe feeling of dread they felt as they came closer to it. It may have been overgrown and was beginning to rot, but the soul was still there, trapping every vulnerable survivor that visited in a state of peril.

As they turned a corner and entered the main area, Alexa gestured them over to two stumps at the middle. Facing these two stumps was a semi-circle of seven wooden chairs. The set-up was strange, and it felt less like a trial and more like a two-man Tribal Council.

"It feels good to be back here. Of course, as the one dishing out all of the announcements, twists, and eliminations, it's hard to have a bad relationship with this place. But, if you're an unlucky soul who has had even just one night here, that will instantly sour Tribal Council. It applied here, and it still applies at the Koopa Sphinx," Alexa patted the wooden chairs and continued his monologue. "But once again, this Tribal Council will have one last usage before it fully succumbs to Mother Nature. That usage will be for this final trial."

Alexa placed his whistle into his mouth and blew into it. "You guys can come on out now!"

Engineer and Peach turned to each other, confused and worried.

From the old entrance to the Tribal Council came seven familiar faces:

Tails, the first and oldest member of Jury...

Waluigi and Squidward Tentacles, the second and third members of Jury, both of which rewarded the status through the Comeback Gauntlet...

Jotaro Kujo and Spy, the fourth and fifth members of Jury. The two of them were eliminated in the same council...

Meta Knight, the sixth member of Jury...

And Kirby, the seventh and newest member of Jury...

They filled up the semi-circle of seats in front of them, silently judging them from a distance as Alexa further continued talking.

"Meet the current Jury. You might have expected them to only come into play at the very end of the show, but they're far more important than that. They will be deciding which of you leaves this island, and which of you leaves this show... and also this island," he discretely added. "You're probably used to them by now, as they've shown up for each Tribal Council, growing in size. Well now, only seven of them remain, tied with the number of survivors in the Super Stars tribe. Allow me to explain the final trial to you:"

Trial C: Tribal Council!

Survivors: Princess Peach - Engineer.

*Both survivors will be given the opportunity to try and convince the Jury to not vote for them. You may talk about anything you want as long as it'll contribute to persuading them onto your side. At the end of your speeches, the Jury will cast their votes, and if you receive the most votes, then you'll be eliminated from Survivor Crossover: Dry Dry Desert. Whether you see it as a good thing or not, you will join the Jury upon elimination.

This challenge is all about persuasion, and if you can't give many good reasons as to why you think you'll win or why you deserve to, then you're guaranteed to be Jury!*

"Who will start?" Jotaro asked bluntly.

Alexa shot a look at Tails. "I think that the one who gets to decide that should be none other than the oldest Jury member, that being Tails. Who do you think should go first?"

After careful consideration, the fox pointed to Engineer. "I think he should give his reasons first."

Engineer winked. "Alrighty," he said, standing up from his stump. "I may not be the strongest feller that has participated in this game, far from it. Heck, I'm a damn Engineer that spends his whole day runnin' around, haulin' around buildings and fendin' for my whole life, and yet a young fox has me beat in anythin' I could think of. Compared to the remainin' competition, though, I think I'm one of the most strategic. I picked my enemies based on how darn threatenin' they were, and I've been a nosy person too. In fact, I even befriended a former enemy just so I could try n' overthrow the bigger alliance that was in play. If Peach goes, then the alliances will be leveled, and I think I've done more strategically to deserve to keep goin'."

With little regard to most of his speech, Waluigi raised his hand. "Hey, answer me this!"

"What's yer query, pardner?"

"The alliances, who's in them?"

Engineer folded his arms. "Good question. Little Mac, Samus, and I are in one, and everyone I didn't mention is in the other."

"Waaah?!" He cried. "How am I supposed to-a vote for you if you've been siding with a cheater this whole time!"

"C-cheater?" The Texan choked, shocked at the claim.

"That Little Mac screwed me out of-a winning because he ruined the challenge for-a everyone!" Waluigi growled, almost frothing at the mouth with seething rage. He went from one to one-hundred in the blink of an eye. No matter what, he would not be able to get his vote.

Meta Knight, however, was intrigued by his speech. He had a feeling something had gone on between Engineer, Samus, and Little Mac, but he never expected an alliance.

"What a ridiculous reason for voting for someone." Spy rolled his eyes. "Perhaps if you took into account how much of a scoundrel he was, you wouldn't see me in such a terrible light."

"Underhanded, sure, but I don't think he could stoop to your level if he tried," said Tails. "Such as purposefully losing a challenge just to try and get what you want. Not only did you fail that, but the person you did end up eliminating is back in the game!"

"Poyo!" Nodded Kirby.

With people already shutting him down, he gave up on trying to make his point. "Whatever, but just know that you already have two people displeased, Engineer."

He gulped. He had expected Spy to be like this, but Waluigi already had a sour taste in his mouth over something so insignificant.

"Is that your speech over, then?" Alexa checked.

Engineer nodded.

"Great! Princess Peach, if you will."

Proudly, she stood up as Engineer sat down. "At first, I never thought I'd get to the Merge. I thought I'd be targeted and blindsided before I could properly set foot in the desert, but now that I'm only a few days away from the Finale, I'm confident that I have what it takes to win! I'm strong, I can hover, I've made tons of friends on this show and I've stayed loyal to every single one of them. I may not be as underhanded as Engineer, or strategic for that matter, but I will get myself and the others to the Finale, just like how I got myself and the others to the final seven. I'll do what Mario couldn't do and win that money and hotel!"

Peach sat back down, letting the Jury drink in her speech.

"You have done quite well to get out of the radar," admitted Squidward. "And you aren't insufferable, which is a bonus."

Her speech appeared to have done well, granted it garnered not much discussion from the Jury.

"It appears your chances to convince the Jury are now over. We'll now get straight into voting, and I hope they've all made their minds up," Alexa said. "Survivors-err, I mean Jury, please cast your votes!"

Tails: They both have good arguments. Peach has loyalty and morals, whilst Engineer is strategic and cunning. Engineer did trust me enough to form an alliance with me though, and he was as loyal to me as Peach is to her alliance. So, I think I've made my mind up. (Princess Peach)

Squidward Tentacles: I don't know who to pick based on their long speeches alone, and neither was as fake as I expected them to be. This is going to be a close vote. (?)

Waluigi: I can't believe that-a stupid boxer is only still here because of Engineer! But, if I ruin his alliance, then he'll be-a doomed to-a fail! (Engineer)

Jotaro Kujo: Since I met the two of them, I've been neutral towards them. I'll be judging by their speeches, and I know who had the weaker speech. (?)

Spy: Must I really explain myself here? (Engineer)

Meta Knight: I was never was fond of Engineer's guts, but it looks like he's a lot more clever than I took him for. The question is: will that be enough? (?)

Kirby: Poyo poyo! Poyoooo! (?)

Alexa collected the votes. "Engineer and Peach, I shall now read out the votes!"

*VOTING TIME*

First vote goes to Engineer. One vote Engineer.

Second vote goes to Princess Peach. One vote Peach and Engineer.

Third vote also goes to Princess Peach. Two votes Peach and one vote Engineer.

Fourth vote ALSO goes to Princess Peach. Three votes Peach, one vote Engineer. (Peach shakes her head with disbelief.)

Fifth vote goes to Engineer. Three votes Peach and two votes Engineer.

Sixth vote goes to Engineer. That's three votes Peach and Engineer.

"Things are currently tied, but the final vote will decide tonight's eliminated contestant," Alexa pulled out the final vote and read it to himself. "Eliminated at seventh place, marking themselves as the eighth Jury member..."

Both of them were sweating, all it took was this one vote to ruin what they had worked for throughout four weeks.

At last, Alexa read out the final vote to the Jury and survivors...

"Princess Peach! At four votes, your stay here is over," said Alexa. "Though you're not able to say your goodbyes to the others, you are able to say your warm welcome to the Jury that is responsible for your demise!"

"That's an awful way to put it," Peach sighed. "I suppose this is the end for me. Good luck Engineer, but considering you have some Jury here that already hate your guts, you're already at a disadvantage."

"You're right, but I know I can pull through in due time," Engineer grinned. "It was fun duelin' ya, miss. I'll see ya next council."

"Peach, please move away from Engineer and join the Jury. As for him, he'll be spending the rest of his night here on this island," Alexa announced. "The Jury will also leave the island and return to their tribe."

She slowly strolled over to her new tribe. Having taken her defeat well, she exchanged one last goodbye to Engineer before leaving Tribal Council alongside the seven members of Jury...

As all of this happened, Alexa turned to the camera filming him and cleared his throat. "After a cutthroat duel of persuasion, Engineer just stays in the game by the skin of his teeth! As for Peach, her elimination surprised me. She received next to no votes throughout the entire game, but I suppose her speech might not have convinced enough of the Jury to let her stay. Will Engineer make good use of his extra chance? Find out next time on Survivor Crossover: Dry Dry Desert!"

Princess Peach's Last Words: "I've had so much fun here. Admittedly, it's been stressful, tedious, and certainly not a perfect experience, but the friends I've formed and the experiences I've had were like no other. I never expected something as minimal as living in a desert with limited supplies could be such a unique experience, and one that I'd consider more positive than negative at that. It's a shame I couldn't nab the prizes, but I suppose royalty like me doesn't really need money or luxury, therefore maybe it was for the best that I didn't end up winning."
