Chapter 45: The Transformation

Shiro grinned as Isshin tried, though failed, to sound like an angry scolding father as he and the other captains flash stepped to where he could feel his other son, Ichigo. Shiro had to admit that he was kind of enjoying the fatherly yelling Isshin was doing. He understood that his father was worried about the safety of everyone, maybe even a bit worried about Shiro, otherwise why would he care what they did; or where they went. As their feet touched the ground to the large hill area with a dead white forest, pink energy was just settling as they found their footing. At that moment the rest of the captains and lieutenants of the gotei appeared and surrounded the two traitors.

Shiro raised an eyebrow when Gin raised his hands in surrender when Matsumoto pressed her sword to his back. "I surrender." he told her with a slight grin. "I'm injured." Sure enough, there was blood dripping on the ground next to him from a wound on his arm.

"You're surrounded, Aizen." Yoruichi told him with confidence in those around her. "You no longer have anywhere to run to." Her eyes narrowed at his ever present grin. "It's over." A chuckle left his lips. "What's so funny?" She inquired this even as a bad sinking feeling began to form in the pit of her stomach.

"I'm sorry." he stated, not truly apologetic. "It's time."

Her eyes widened as she suddenly felt energy coming at them from above. "Get away from him! " Those closest jumped away just as a beam of energy surrounded him.

At the same moment, Gin was surrounded by the same energy. "Aw, and I was enjoying being your prisoner." he stated with a pout at Matsumoto. "I'm sorry."

Suddenly a hole in the sky former as dozens of gillian type hollows seemed to be trying to come through it at once. Shiro, having snuck away from his father's side was now next to Ichigo's. He was about to tap his brothers shoulder when he froze at the feeling he was getting deep within himself. Those gillians were helping Aizen some how and his hollow side was getting pissed by the second. Suddenly the ground under the two traitors was lifted.

"Running away?" One lieutenant asked.

"No!" Another yelled as they went to stop Aizen.

"Stop!" the old and authoritative voice sounded from the head captain causing the lieutenants to pause in their pursuit.

"Head Captain?" the seventh division lieutenant questioned.

"That light is called Negashin." he explained calmly, though his own anger was steadily growing. "Menos use it when they're saving one of their own." He narrowed his eyes. "It's over once the light covers them. Inside the light is its own impenetrable world. Every captain who has faced a Menos knows this. Once that light came down, it became impossible for us to touch Aizen."

"He's even joined with Menos." Jushiro said astonished though angry. "For what reason?"

"To search for greatness. " Aizen answered upon hearing him.

"Have you sunk so low, Aizen?" Jushiro questioned him.

"You're too proud, Ukitake." was his answer.

As Aizen spoke, Shiro grabbed Ichigo's shoulder and whispered. "We've gotta do it now or else we lose this fight."

"Now?" Ichigo asked, knowing exactly what his brother was asking him.

"You're already in shikai, it won't take much." Shiro grinned. "We've done this once before, why are you actin' all scared?"

Ichigo looked worriedly at his brother. "You know why." His eyes looking at Shiro with a deep sadness. "There's a chance you won't survive this. "

Shiro grinned at him. "Ain't like I'll be missed bro." He touched Ichigo's shoulder. "It's better this way anyways. People don't like freaks like me as it is."

"You're not-" Ichigo began to argue.

"I am." Shiro reiterated . "Don't worry, I'll still be with you. One way or another." He looked up as Aizen and Gin ascended further. "Let's do this Ichi."

Aizen believed that they would escape and he would begin to build his army of hollows in order to destroy Soul Society and eventually even the royal realm as well. When suddenly dual voices were heard, "BANKAI" The release of energy was so great that a whirlwind of blue, black and red energy swirled to the heavens on high. Clouds were forced away from the sky by the energy released. On the ground there were cries as people were forced away from Sokyoku Hill or as they held onto the trees for dear life.

In the center of the whirlwind two souls became one. One form, instead of two, was revealed as the energy settled. Two swords in either hand, long orange hair and on the left side of his head was a horn coming out of his head. A red line bisecting a left black/gold eye. The shihakusho top torn, revealing pale white skin and the red line continuing from the left side of the face to the center of the chest, though there was no hole.

Just as suddenly as he had appeared, the being vanished from sight only to reappear at the hole in the sky. From the larger of the two swords a bright red cero formed. Pulling the second from its waist, a second cero former and as the two met, instead of aiming towards Aizen or Gin, the being turned around and released the blast at the dozen or so menos opening the gate into the hollow world of Hueco Mundo. An explosion was the end result. When the smoke vanished, no hollow was left alive. The beam flickered once, twice and then vanished.

As most know or realize the law of gravity is simple: what goes up, must come down.

Down on the ground below, Renji Abarai was the first to realize this. "Shit! It's coming down!" he yelled as the two mounts that the traitors had been standing on were now coming crashing down to the ground below them. People scattered to avoid being crushed by dirt and rocks.

Floating in the sky above them, Gin commented. "That didn't go as planned." Looking towards Aizen though, Gin felt a shiver of fear. Aizen looked pissed as he stared up above them at the orange haired being. Gin, had to admit, he was surprised at the appearance of this being. Surely, that couldn't be that orange haired teen? Could it?

Below them Head Captain Yamamoto saw an opportunity. "All forces!" he yelled out, causing everyone to look towards him. "Attack and capture former Captain Aizen and Captain Gin at all cost!"

"What about the being?" Shunsui inquired as he lifted his hat from his eyes.

"If it is on our side, capture it." Yamamoto answer. "If it attacks you, destroy it." At that moment every captain and their lieutenants turned to attack the two fugitive traitors and to investigate the new being to see who's side it was on.
