"Come on, guys. Get in!" Jessie said, helping one of the little green aliens into the box.
"Jessie hold on. What about Woody?" Buzz asked.
"He'll be fine, Buzz. Andy is taking him to college. Now we need to go." Buzz thought about it for a second, then sighed.
"You're right. Let's go." He helps her get the third alien in and then helps her up just as Woody and Rosetta climb into the car.
"Buzz? What are you guys doing? Don't you know this box is being donated?" The cowboy asked.
"Woody! It's alright, we have a plan." Buzz said proudly.
"We're going to day care!" Rex said excitedly.
"Day care?! Have you all lost your marbles?"
"Andy threw us away!" Mrs. Potato Head cried.
"No he wasn't. Rosetta said. He was putting you in the attic."
"Oh yeah, sweetheart, then how did we end up on the curb?" Rosetta glared at the spud. Woody placed a hand on his daughters shoulder.
"That was a mistake, Potato Head. Mom thought you were trash." Woody argued.
"Yeah, after the kid put us in a trash bag and called us junk!" Hamm snapped. Woody rubbed his forehead.
"Okay, I know this looks bad, but you guys have got to believe me!" The other mumbled and went back into the box.
"Face it, Woody. Andy's moving on. Jessie said. It's time we do the same." She pulled the box flap down.
"Auntie, wait!" Rosetta cried.
"Come out of there, all of you!" Woody yelled.
"Hold on a minute, Woody. We need to think about what's best for everyone. You said..."
"Don't remind me of what I said, Buzz. Daycare is not..." Just then, the trunk door slammed closed and Mom got in the front seat. She pulled out of the garage and started towards the daycare. Woody groaned. "Oh great, it's going to take us forever to get back here!" He climbed into the box, with Rosetta and Buzz close behind. Woody moved a xylophone over to the edge of the box. "Alright gang, listen up, we can get back to Andy's, but we have to move fast. We just need to..."
"Give it a rest, Woody!" Hamm said.
"Yeah, get it through your vinyl noggin, cowboy. Andy doesn't want us anymore!" Potato Head said. Woody turned to him.
"He was putting you...in the attic!"
"He left us on the curb!" Jessie snapped.
"That's enough, you two!" Buzz said, getting between them.
"Fine! Fine. Just you wait. Daycare is a sad, lonely place for washed up toys who have no owners." That made Barbie burst out in tears. The others looked at Woody. "Oh don't look at me like that. You'll see what I mean, and then you'll be begging to go home!" They hit a bump as the car pulled onto the parking lot.
"They have a playground! And listen to those kids. We hit the jackpot, fellas!" Jessie said, hugging Bullseye. Woody rolled his eyes. Rosetta grabbed his hand.
"Maybe it won't be so bad, dad. Give it a chance, for me? Please?" She asked, looking up at him. Woody looked at her pleading eyes. He sighed and smiled.
"Okay, little one. I'll give it a shot." He whispered. She smiled and hugged him. The box bounced around and soon was placed down on a table. The toys looked out and saw in amazement kids playing with all sorts of toys. Soon the kids went out for recess.
"So what do we do now?" Hamm asked.
"We go back to Andy's. Anyone see an exit?" Woody asked.
"Dad. You said you would give it a try." Rosetta said.
"Yeah listen to your daughter, Woody. Let's get played with!" Potato Head said.
"Yeah. Let's go!" Rex cried. He rushed forward, making the whole box shift forward. The toys screamed as the box tumbled off the counter, spilling them across the floor. They look up and see all the daycare toys looking at them.
*I'll have chapter 4 up sometime this week! That will be when things start to turn south! Sorry about the glitch!*
