*I'm apologizing ahead of time cause this chapter will have a lot going on, but I wanted to keep in time with the movie events and my spin on them. Just wanted to warn you.*

Woody and Rosetta walked down the hallway silently, Woody hanging his head a bit.

"Dad,I might be overstepping here, but I don't think they aren't the ones being selfish." Rosetta said finally.

"What did you say, young lady?" Woody said, stopping.

"You always said that you wanted to keep everyone together, and now that there is a way for us to do so, you want to leave? So that you can sit on the shelf and watch Andy grow up some more?"

"In the end, we all will be together, Rose, once Andy has a family of his own."

"That could take years, dad. Or it might not happen at all. You could be waiting and waiting and never be played with again, and I know you don't want that. So why are you against that?"

"I'm not. I'm trying to..." They heard something heading into their direction and dropped to the floor.A janitor came down the hall with his cart. Woody and Rosetta grabbed onto the bottom of it as it turned and entered a bathroom. The janitor went to work cleaning the sinks and mirrors. Woody motioned for Rose to follow him. They climbed up onto one of the toilet seats, scaled the wall of the stall and went out the window. Carefully, they climbed up onto the roof and looked out at the playground. They were bewildered by the sight of how big the daycare actually was.

"Wow. This place is huge." Rosetta said.

"Yeah, it sure is. Big enough to get lost. We need to go, now. Look for something we can use to get across without being seen." Woody said. They looked all over the roof when Rosetta noticed a kite.

"Hey dad. Want to fly?" She said. Woody smiled and together they held onto the kite, ran off the roof and soared across the playground, just barely making it over the wall. They touched the ground and let the kite in the grass. "Yes! We did it, dad. We did...AH!" Suddenly something grabbed her and pulled her into the bushes.

"Rose! Rosetta, where are you? Whoa!" Woody yelled as a pair of hands yanked him into the bushes too. He tried to fight back, but the hands were strong. Something struck the back of his head and Woody fell to the ground, blacking out.

Back in the Caterpillar room, Bullseye stares at the door, whining for Woody and Rosetta.

"Aw, it will be okay, Bullseye." Jessie said, petting his head.

"Yeah. Woody's going to college with Andy. Hamm said. It's what he's always wanted."

"And we are getting what we want: playtime!" Potato Head said.

"But Rosetta was right. Mrs. Potato Head said. College is no place for a toy. Woody will just be sitting on a shelf about ninety percent of the time." Jessie looked at Buzz.

"Did he really ask you to take Rose up to the attic with us?" She asked.

"Yes. He knew Molly wasn't playing with her, and knew she might be given away, Buzz said, so he wanted her to be with the rest of us. Just as Bo wanted."

"She won't go anywhere without Woody, Buzz."

"I know, I told him that. He just wanted what was best for her and the rest of us."

"Hey, hate to break up the conversation, but they're lining up out there! Hamm said. There's dozens of kids out there."

"Places everyone!" Buzz said. Everyone ran to find a spot in plain sight and fell into play mode. Buzz noticed the other daycare toys running too, but away from the door. In fact, they were running and hiding. Buzz looked back at the door and saw Rex eagerly waiting as the bell rang.

"Uh, Rex?"

"Come to papa!" The bell rang and the kids rushed into the room, grabbing the toys roughly. They broke toys, pulled on Slinky, used Jessie's hair as a paint brush, and covered Hamm in glue and glitter. One kid stuck Potato Head's pieces in their nose and a girl left a slobbery mess on Buzz's helmet. One boy grabbed the girl's pigtails and she threw Buzz, who landed on a table. He came out of play mode for a minute and looked across the way into the butterfly room. There, the kids were older and actually handling their toys with care, not throwing them around, breaking them, or slobbering all over them. Why is it so nice over there and crazy over here? Buzz thought. Suddenly another kid grabbed him. Over in the butterfly room, Lotso had seen Buzz and his shocked face. The bear grinned wickedly. The girl who was holding him placed him beside the chair and went over to the bookshelf. A giraffe toy came over and whispered in his ear.

"Thank you, Gerry." The bear said. He caught Ken's eye and nodded his head towards the door. Ken nodded and waved for two other toys, a robot and an octopus to follow him. They moved quickly and quietly out of the door and down the hallway.

"How hard did you hit him, Chunk?" A incest warrior named Twitch asked. Woody was lying in the middle of the supply closet floor. Rosetta was by his side, her hand resting on his shoulder. Ken, Twitch, Sparks, Chunk, and Stretch were standing to the side, looking down at him.

"It wasn't that hard! Chunk cried. Just enough to knock him out!"

"I think you killed him." The robot, Sparks, said.

"Shut up! All of you shut up! He's alive, you hear me?" Rosetta yelled. Woody heard her yell and opened his eyes. Groaning, he rolled onto his back and sat up.

"Daddy!" Rose sighed, rushing into his arms.

"Rose? Oh sweetheart. You're not hurt, are you?" Woody asked. Rose shook her head.

"Not yet she's not." Twitch mumbled. The others laughed. Woody pushed Rose behind him.

"Lotso will be here in a minute. Ken said. He will decide your punishment." Suddenly the door opened and in walked Lotso and Big Baby.

"Hello again, sheriff. You mind telling me what you were doing trying to escape?" Lotso said.

"We were going home. We can't stay here." Woody said, holding Rosetta's hand.

"I'm afraid you don't get to make that decision, sheriff. You see, once you come in through those doors, you are here for life. No one leaves Sunnyside unless you become broken and tossed in the trash. That means no escaping!"

"You can't keep us here like prisoners!" Rosetta cried.

"Oh sweetheart, I can do whatever I want. This is my daycare. Lotso said. I run this show and take care of toys who disobey the rules. Just like you and your father here. Let me show you what happens to those who try to escape." He tapped his cane and Stretch grabbed Rosetta.

"No! Dad! Let go of me!"

"What are you doing? Let go of my daughter!" Woody yelled. Lotso took out a switchblade as Stretch held Rosetta's arms. Lotso went to cut the poor girl when Woody rushed forward, taking a jab to the shoulder. He hissed, but ignored it, turning to Lotso.

"Are you insane?! Pulling a knife on a child? You could've killed her!"

"Just teaching her a lesson, cowboy. Now move out of the way!" He went to raise it again, but Woody raised his hands.

"No! Punish me. It was my idea to escape, not hers. She only followed me. Punish me, not my daughter."

"Very well. But remember, you asked for it." With that, he pulled back his arm and punched Woody in the face, knocking him back onto the ground. He began kicking him in the chest and back. Rosetta watched in horror and tried to get out of Stretch's grip.

"Daddy! Stop, please stop!"

"Get rid of her!" Lotso shouted. "Twitch, finish the rest of the cowboys punishment. The rest of you, get back to the butterfly room."

"No. Please, don't take away my daughter." Woody pleaded. He was so sore, but tried to get up and get to Rose. "No. No please. Rosetta!" Twitch pushed him back down and began hitting him again.

"Daddy! No, let me go! Dad!" Rosetta cried as Stretch took her out of the room.
