*I am so sorry I haven't kept up with this story! Just for that, posting two chapters today!*
At Bonnie's, the young girl was fast asleep with her toys. Rosetta was wide awake. She had to get back to Sunnyside to save her family. She got up slowly, making sure not to wake the sleeping girl. Tiptoeing across the bed, she saw Bonnie's backpack resting against her bookshelf. She jumped down and went over to it, searching. She found a flap and underneath was an address.
"1225 sycamore. Andy's is 234 Elm. That's...right around the corner!" Rosetta said quietly.
"Rosetta? What are you doing?" Pricklepants asked. He and the others had gotten up out of bed.
"You're leaving?" Trixie asked.
"But didn't you have fun today?" Buttercup asked.
"Oh of course I did. More than I have in years. It's just I need to get back to my family. We need to get back to our owner but they are trapped at Sunnyside." All four of them gasped.
"You came from Sunnyside?" Dolly asked.
"Yeah. Why do you ask?"
"Sunnyside is a place of ruin and despair, run by an evil bear who reeks of strawberries!" Pricklepants said.
"That's Lotso, but how do you know about him?" The hedgehog turned to the window in the kitchen.
"Chuckles. He'll tell you." They went into the middle of the floor where a clown doll was looking out the window. Rosetta took a step forward as the clown took a deep breath.
"Yeah. I knew Lotso, kiddo. We had the same kid, he and I. Daisy. Chuckles said, remembering. I swear there wasn't a more perfect pair. They loved each other and did everything together. One day, we went for a drive and stopped on the side of the road, had ourselves a little playtime. After lunch, Daisy fell asleep. Dad put her in the car and they left." Chuckles closed his eyes. "She never came back, but that didn't stop Lotso. He was determined to get us back. It took hours, but eventually we made it back to Daisy's. But it was already too late. Her love for Lotso was so strong that she was upset that he was left behind, so her parents replaced him. Something broke in Lotso and he blamed her, saying that she replaced all of us."
"What did you do then?" Rosetta asked.
"We became lost toys. Unloved, unwanted, outcasts. Chuckles said. When we came upon Sunnyside, Lotso wasn't my friend anymore. He wasn't anyone's friend. He took over that daycare and changed the whole system."
"How did you get out?"
"I got broke. Bonnie found me and took me home, fixed me up." He pulled a small heart shaped pendant out of the small pocket of his overalls. On it were the words 'My heart belongs to...and Daisy's name was written in. "It ain't right what Lotso's done. New toys, they don't stand a chance."
"But my family is in there. My father has already been beaten and tortured by him! I have to help them!" Rosetta cried.
"You can't go back. It's way too dangerous!" Buttercup said.
"Going back now would be suicide!" Trixie said.
"Hey, leave the girl alone." Chuckles said. He came down to her. "It's time someone stood up to that vicious brute. But if you must go, little one, you need to know that he sees everything. Lotso is always one step ahead of the game, so you need to be at least three steps ahead. You can try and reason with him, but it will take a strong move to make that happen. Take this, it may help." He handed her the pendant. "Good luck, sweetie." Rosetta smiled at him. Chuckled gave a small smile back and then walked away. Rosetta looked down at the pendant and then up at the moon shining in through the window.
"Don't worry, daddy. I'm coming back for you. I will get you and the others out. I promise."
*Like I said, posting two chapters!*
