One way or another, she was going to get her answers as the pursuit of Moebius Forces had lead them to a wide-open space, but what's more, heavily-fortified locations of Terrans, the Feral Zerg barely got away before Kerrigan's increase in power seized them and shattered the mind-control over them, giving more to her Swarm and removing the Zerg from the Moebius hands.
"Moebius are preparing shuttles for launch." Kerrigan raised her brow before she spotted something of Protoss origins as she spoke in sensing what it was connected to.
"A warp conduit. I sense million of Terran minds on the other side..." She tried to think of where this was going to before she exclaimed, both in disbelief and unease. "Korhal! If a single shuttle passes through, they can alert the Dominion to our presence."
"Should we destroy it then?" Kerrigan shook her head and rush to the opening conduit where a Terran shuttle was bound for.
"No. They will detect that. Our only choice is to stop their shuttles from reaching the conduit." She was going to blast the ship out of the sky before she found a great aid on that part in frozen bodies, FAMILIAR ones at that. "Nafash's hydralisks! Abathur, assimilate their essence into the Swarm." The Hydralisks were freed and joined the Swarm before the small force blasted the shuttle out of the air as Abathur spoke.
"Hydralisk reconstituted. Can morph from larva."
"I need more Hydralisks to destroy these shuttles." Thankfully, Kerrigan was not alone as Tenorai had rallied some Protoss forces to help out.
"My brothers and I will do whatever we can to help stop Moebius." Kerrigan nodded as Moebius moved to get their shuttles through and to Korhal.
"My queen, Moebius has launched a shuttle. It is en route to a warp conduit."
"Not if I have anything to say about it. We will bring down that shuttle!" They moved to attack it and brought it down before heading back to the cluster and getting a wide-message form the commander in charge of the Moebius forces.
"Engage the hive directly! Our shuttles must break through to the Dominion!"
"You will never leave this ball of ice!" Kerrigan hissed as Izsha informed her of something else that Moebius has been doing.
"My queen, Moebius has been gathering biological samples and storing them in these stasis chambers."
"We'll destroy these chambers, and take the biomass if we can." They moved to collect one to Abathur's interest before Tenorai, his troops having been helping to clear out the Terran positions, spoke.
"Moebius has launched another shuttle. This one is accompanied by a Wraith squadron."
"You cannot stop us all, Kerrigan!" Kerrigan huffed as she moved to awakening another hive for more resources and more troops to bring down the Terran attempts before Izsha warned again.
"Moebius has launched another shuttle. It is bearing toward an unknown conduit."
"They're bringing more warp conduits online. I sense two more activating." So they had to protect the other sites from Moebius and keep them from getting through as Kerrigan soon had a second stasis chamber destroyed.
"Another chamber destroyed. What was Moebius doing with all this biomass?" Tenorai didn't give her much chance to think about it as he warned.
"Moebius are launching two sets of shuttles. They are growing desperate for escape." Kerrigan agreed to that as she moved to destroy them and soon took out the final stasis chamber for the Swarm.
"That's the last stasis chamber."
"Will examine biomass. Consume. Improve Swarm." Kerrigan didn't linger around as Izsha continied to give them the heads-up on the shuttle matter.
"Moebius has launched more shuttles." The commander exclaimed with the plan in motion.
"One shuttle through the conduit, and you will feel the might of the Dominion and our Hybrids!" Kerrigan didn't like the sound of that, what Hybrid was Moebius talking about, something to think about much later as those ships were sniped from the sky before she spotted more on the vector.
"Moebius has launched three shuttles at once! They're bearing towards the same conduit." But that was not the least of their worries as Izsha voiced it.
"Moebius has launched several Battlecruisers with unknown technology equipped." Kerrigan suspect what it could be as the ships were not equipped with Yamatos and went to the next thing in mimicking the same aura of an Arbiter, having not heard of the Protoss Mothership in recent years.
"They must be using them to cloak shuttles." She commanded with the force of her Swarm right now. "All forces, defend the central conduit! Tear their ships from the sky!" Hydralisks and Queens attacked the Battlecruisers, giving out more damage and healing form it faster than the Battlecruisers could give out before one fell and the cloak started to waver before the second one bit it and the shuttles were revealed to be torn apart as the conduits, somehow connected to Korhal, died out as Kerrigan breathed. "That's the last, The warp conduit are useless to them now." Tenorai spoke in relief as he thanked her for stopping them.
"You have done it, Kerrigan. The Terran threat has been removed."
"Nothing is done until they are all dead." Kerrigan didn't like how these Terrans were trying to warn Korhal and she wanted to know exactly what the Commander meant by 'Hybrid' as the Swarm moved to take out the bases of Moebius on the planet.
Kerrigan's return was not quiet as Izsha somehow managed to catch something else from her Queen's mind. "I feel my Queen's hatred, burning like a star. But there is something underneath it... I do not understand."
"It's pain, Izsha. Sometimes even my hatred can't shield me from... memories."
"Of an enemy who damaged you?"
"Memories of better times. Of a friend... Now lost." The Scout soon returned and Kerrigan waited before Tenorai came aboard again, clearly not disturbed to be in the Leviathan again and even sensed her grief.
"I understand your pain, and your anger. I, too, was a victim of this, and I am now."
"Now?" Kerrigan asked as Tenorai answered.
"When Moebius came and attacked us, they took many prisoners. A researcher by the name of Lasarra was among them. I worry for her safety and those who are with her." Kerrigan suspected something else was going on, but she was also sure that whatever the Terrans were doing here, they were doing something out on the wayside as she spoke back.
"We'll rescue her, and the others. If we can't, we'll avenge them all." Tenorai didn't press it for the moment as Izsha soon returned as Tenorai left again.
"Our scouts report a large Terran craft on the other side of the moon."
"The interstellar ship they used to travel here."
"It is not yet ready for launch, but it will be before we can get to it." Kerrigan huffed as she continued with her thoughts.
"They're tenacious, I'll give them that. But I am ready for this."
Izsha didn't ask anymore as now the Swarm had obtained Hydralisks for the fights to come and they are quite helpful as Kerrigan went over their mutations while also giving Abathur a piece of her mind as he was the reason why she was the Queen of Blades, sparing him as he is useful in making the Zerg dangerous to its confusion, but she also took note of the Zergling's ability to evolve into a new type of dangerous, she actually smirking to the idea as she had Abathur help in telling her about them.
The Hydralisks were getting their mutations sorted out from increasing their attack speed for a short time, increasing their health a bit more, or increasing their range of attack which Kerrigan mutated as a Zerg that can fire further is going to be murder to deal with before she went to oversee what Abathur's little evolutions were like in combat.
Two different strains of Zergling, only one would join the Swarm officially while the other is forgotten for a time as Abathur set the sites up and readied for the Queen's approval...
