A week had passed since the sideline squad had saved the family from a raging fire. The story of the girls heroic actions had been all over the news for days now and was sparking intense political debates. While some viewed the group as self absorbed reckless women seeking attention, others viewed their actions as them fulfilling a genuinely wanting to help people to fuel their hero complex. The story had gained such large attention because it would turn out the father of the family was a higher up in one of Japan's leading political parties. The group had decided to back off on vigilante activities in the midst of the massive media blow-up, and turned their focus on ideas for school.

Izumi finally finished the combustion system for the internals of the jetpack she was working on. She had been purposely slowing her progress down to avoid suspicion, sure, but if she was being honest it was primarily to avoid over-expectation. Izumi's entire school career thus far consisted of her passing teacher's expectations and then teachers over-estimating her abilities, making Izumi feel as though she was crippled by the pressure. Izumi had since made sure to dial back the extent of her knowledge to a few grade levels above her peers. Once she added the combustion system into the jetpack, it was finally time to move onto the testing stage.

Izumi had taken notice of Hatsume in the workshop class she was added into. Hatsume had a tendency to ignore the actual assignments and instead work on her personal inventions. Izumi, on the other hand, just quickly got them out of the way so she could get to work creating what she wanted. She didn't have any problems with Hatsume as a person; she just didn't find her the type she could get along with. She did, however, get the nagging feeling that Hatsume is the type to grow on people, much like Logan. For now though, she preferred to just see what she was working on from a distance. While she didn't find Hastume's mechanical skills particularly impressive, the girl was fearless and did come up with some interesting ideas. Namely, the girl's wire arrow she used similar to a grappling hook. Izumi knew she could easily find a way to add some sort of mechanism to the metal chords they already used regularly to apprehend criminals, which would give them some sort of automatic rappelling. Hatsume, upon initial glance, also appeared to be working on an air based jetpack system similar to what Izumi wanted to have for sideline squad activities. Hatume's jetpack used several different types of materials, was far too bulky, and focused on short extreme high speed bursts rather than fast and consistent long term flight. Ultimately, Izumi found the time she spent looking into Hatsume's jetpack design to be a waste. While it could be practical in some situations, the mechanisms it used offered no help in Izumi's struggle to create her version of an electric powered air jetpack. Between the setbacks she was facing on her suit progress and now on her air compression jetpacks she found building the much simpler combustion jetpacks rather cathartic. She had already decided, once she had confirmed the jetpacks to be in working order, that she would begin progress on creating an extremely compact automatic grappling hook. She knew she had to design it to be able to fit on a wrist with enough support that their wrist wouldn't break from the force of being rappelled.

"Cementoss is great and all, and I love literature, but I can't wait until this class is over," Rei whispered to the friends around her. "I just feel like I am about to starve to death."

Cementos cleared his throat. "Well then, Ms. Tamura, you are in luck because class ends in two minutes," he said as he removed the notes from the board.

Rei blushed and quickly put her head down in embarrassment. "I am so sorry Mr. Cementoss. Please forgive me."

"That is alright. I am not genuinely angry." He smiled at the group of girls, "You did say I was great, after all." Once the bell rang he began gathering the rest of his items. "Class is dismissed. Have a good lunch. Ms. Tamura, I hope you do not end up starving now."

The girls all ran to the cafeteria and managed to be the first in line. Rei, Izumi, and Etsuko grabbed their food and turned to stare at Logan wondering why she hadn't collected anything. Logan signaled for the girls to wait a moment as she began talking to Lunch Rush. The other girls looked around at one another in confusion, wondering if any of them knew what Logan was doing. Lunch Rush nodded and gave a thumbs up at something Logan had said, pulled a tray out from below one of the counters, and handed it to the girl. Logan smiled and skipped her way over to the rest of the girls.

"What was that about?" Etsuko asked as Logan finished making her way back to them.

"Oh, yesterday I asked Lunch Rush if he wanted a challenge and he gave me a thumbs up." Logan smiled and started to skip again heading to the group's usual table. "I told him I would have some wagyu delivered to the school this morning by lunch and I wanted to see if he could make me a saffron infused steak like I used to always get at my favorite restaurant in France."

"So you mean to tell me you had wagyu delivered to the campus so you could get a saffron infused steak?" Etsuko asked, gobsmacked. "You had two of the most if not the most expensive foods in the world delivered to our school just for lunch? You paid to have them do a hand delivery too?"

"Yeah. Oh, and just to spice things up, I had him add Matsutake Mushrooms."

Izumi groaned. "Matsutake Mushrooms? Logan, I know you want a special treat every once in a while, but holy fuck."

Logan blinked "Well yeah, I mean, I expect to have it at least twice a month now that I know someone who can make it."

"You should have had him make some for all of us." Rei put her tray down on the table and took her seat with the rest of the group.

"Okay, fine, next time I will make sure he makes four portions of it." Logan began to eat her food and looked towards Etsuko. "So, class deputy, how many signatures have we gotten?"

Etsuko opened her bag and pulled out a clipboard with the signatures of twenty-three other students. "We have twenty-three people so far. I mean, we have only really been able to interact with students from our grade and there are only two hundred and twenty students in our grade." She scratched behind her striped ear while doing some mental math. "That means that out of the students in our grade over ten percent would be interested in joining our club."

"Yeah. Plus, with how small this school is anything above twenty students should have no problem getting approval." Rei shoveled food into her mouth as though it was going to disappear if not eaten immediately. "So, how are we going to approach the faculty about this?"

Logan slowly cut her steak into fine pieces and savored each bite. "Okay, I have thought about this and I was thinking we can just march into the first meeting they have and force Principal Nezu and Snipe to sign off for us." She dabbed the sides of her mouth. "If they ask what we need them to sign off on, we can just tell them that we want to shoot people. I am sure Snipe would be on board if we say that."

"Yeah, well, with how often you guys have either chosen to stay late or been forced to stay late with detention, he knows you guys well enough by now to know you don't mean murder." Etsuko raised an eyebrow towards Logan. "Now, Principal Nezu and the other teachers I am not so sure. I mean. I love the group we have all got going, but I really don't want to get expelled over a perceived threat."

"You fool. They are all in our clutches," Logan said dramatically, spreading her arms out wide. "If not now they will be soon. I mean besides us being a little bit chaotic at times we are all good enough students. Also, I think we have managed to charm over Nezu and Snipe enough that we don't have to worry about expulsion unless we do something actually extreme. I have to observe class 1-A's hero basics class and there is a kid in there who is a borderline sexual harasser. If they haven't expelled him, there is no way they can expel us."

"Yeah, but you know how hero society works. Heroes always get a pass to do whatever they want." Izumi glared and stabbed at her food aggressively with her fork. "They really do prepare them for the future here I guess. Elitist bastards."

"You know it really sounds like you have some sort of unresolved issues dealing with your views on heroes." Etsuko said, pointing her spoon towards Izumi. "Eh, you will probably be forced to face it when the plot requires some more character development." The girls all sent Etsuko questioning looks. "Oh yeah, I actually have two quirks. There is the whole cat thing and I can also break the 4th wall. Nobody believes that though, so I don't mention it a lot. I actually got it from my mom, but she ended up in a mental hospital because of it. Don't worry, it is a good one though and she seems to be doing fine."

Meanwhile at Central Musutafu Psychiatric Hospital

"Oh my god! I can't believe my daughter is finally in a fanfiction!"

"Okay Mrs. Hirai, come on. We should probably take you back to your room." The head doctor called out to the nurse down the hall, "Hey Koyanagi, get her some more medication." He returned his attention back to the lady. "Everything is going to be okay in a moment."

Back in the U.A. Cafeteria

"Oh. Umm. Okay…? Well anyways, she is right you know. You do have some unresolved issues with heroes you need to face." Rei gave Izumi a pat on the back. "I don't know about all the rest, but you need to work past your anger."

Logan leaned forward a little to look at her friends. "Okay now, let's get serious babes. I want an airsoft or paintball club and we will not stop until we get one. I mean I can even provide the funding for the guns. Really all they need to do is let us use one of those giant Ground Beta playgrounds to play in. Hell, even just one of the buildings inside one of the giant playgrounds they have. I get that it is meant for the heroes but we could totally use it when it's available."

"Okay well it's settled," Etsuko said as she crossed her legs under the table. "I am going to see if we can get any more signatures by the end of the day, and after school ends we will rush down to the teachers office and get them to sign off on our club."

After the final bell rang, Izumi, Rei, Logan, and Etsuko met outside of the teachers offices. "Hey did you get any more signatures?" Logan asked Etsuko as she approached the rest of the group.

"Yeah, I got one more, so we are at a grand total of twenty-four." Etsuko replied, holding up the clipboard.

Logan nodded in approval. "Okay, good. I feel like twenty-four is just generally a good number, so there is no way we will end up turned down."

"I'm not really one for placing my hopes in completely random logic," Izumi said hesitantly. "But I am going to this time just because I really hope we get approved."

Etsuko turned towards the door, peeking in through the small window. "Okay, well then, let's enter I guess. Do we knock first?"

Izumi shrugged. "We don't actually know if you are supposed to or not, but we have every time we have been here."

Etsuko looked to Izumi with wide eyes, confused. "We have only been in school for a week, how many times have you been in the offices?"

"Well, total for the group I believe three, but it might be four," Izumi replied, counting on her fingers.

"I'm pretty sure it was just three," Rei decided. She took a step towards the door and knocked firmly.

Cementoss opened the door and scanned over Rei. "Ah, I see you did not starve Ms. Tamura. That's good, I am glad you made it through the perilous hardship," he chuckled. "You may come in and find whoever it is you might be looking for."

The group of girls walked into the teacher's offices, but they weren't immediately noticed. All of the teachers' heads were turned to the television the same as it had been during their first visit to the offices. The news was running a story about a house fire at the residence of City Councilman Sunada, during which the Sideline Squad made an appearance. "... spectrum continue to weigh in with their thoughts on the vigilante's actions that fateful night. With new information concerning the Sideline Squad and the active investigation they are under is Koyanagi Kasumi.

"Koyanagi Katsumi here, bringing an update to the ongoing Sideline Squad Situation. Following an information leak by an anonymous source, the police made a statement confirming their collaboration with pro-heroes in spite of the lack of evidence of quirk usage. Chief Matsuzaki, director of the task force charged with catching this vigilante group, had this to say."

The footage cut to a press interview that happened earlier that day. Matsuzaki stood at a podium, flanked on either side by officers. "We have reason to believe that this group is involved with a larger organization. The cooperation of pro-heroes is considered necessary to ensure public safety. The events of the fire also confirmed to us that these vigilantes are reckless. They are not only a danger to others, but to themselves." The footage cut there, leaving the sour impression of the vigilantes hanging in the minds of everyone in the offices.

Midnight stood from her desk, having gathered up her materials to leave for the day. "Did anyone else get called in about that?" She asked the room, jamming her thumb towards the television. Everyone shook their heads, to her annoyance. "Just me, then? Great." She sighed, pulling her bag onto her shoulder. She waved goodbye to the girls and fellow faculty on her way out of the room.

As the faculty turned to watch her leave the room, they noticed the girls standing there. "Oh no. What sorts of trouble have you little rapscallions gotten yourselves into this time?" Snipe stood up, crossed his arms, and shook his head at the group. "And look at that, now you have even dragged the deputy into your hi-jinks."

"We are not in trouble for once," Logan said, raising her hands defensively. "I know it's hard to believe. We come here on official business and we were hoping to speak to you and Nezu about getting something approved."

"This time it had better not involve anything to do with my classes," Eraser Head interjected, glancing between Snipe, Thirteen, and Nezu.

Rei shook her head. "No, it doesn't have anything to do with hero cours-"

"No. We just want to shoot people," Logan interrupted,

All of the teachers stared at them, looking concerned, confused, and a little bit frightened. Snipe didn't even flinch. "Oh, alright then. I am guessing you are looking for me to be your faculty advisor then?" His voice slowly trailed off into a mutter, "Well I'm not actually guessing, I've heard the chatter from other students about what you all have planned."

"Yes please, sir," all the girls said as they smiled up at him innocently.

"Oh no," he muttered, backing away just a hair. "Now, I don't appreciate when you go pulling those split personality moments on me. Especially you, Logan. You never call anyone sir. Now, stop that. It's creeping me out. Go back to being reckless young chickabiddies." He waved them off, prompting a laugh from the girls. "Well anyways, yeah, sure I will be the faculty advisor, as long as you promise not to keep pulling those sorts of complete spins out of nowhere on me. I feel like I might end up with whiplash."

The girls rang out with a chorus of cheers, turning to give each other a big group hug before turning their attention to Nezu.

"Can anyone please explain to me what is happening right now?" Vlad King cut in, rising from his seat. "Am I the only one concerned that those children just said they wanted to shoot people?" His concerns were dismissed by a casual shrug from Snipe.

Nezu clapped his hands together and smiled at the girls "Ah yes, Snipe has given me a heads up on your plan and I think it is an absolutely wonderful idea." He motioned for the girls to come over to him. "How many people have you already managed to get signatures from?"

"Including us, we have twenty-four," Etsuko said, proudly presenting him the clipboard.

Nezu took a sip of his tea as he glanced at the signatures. "Perfect, that is plenty. You all will need proper equipment of course, which we will look into providing. I have been waiting for an opportunity like this. Obviously, most of the school's funding goes towards the hero class, so I am glad we will be able to finally have students from other classes gain from these investments as well." He set the clipboard down on his desk. "Now, obviously the hero class will be having priority over the times in which they can use Ground Beta because it was primarily built for them; However, since your events will take place outside of regular school hours, you should rarely run into any issues with booking."

"That's completely understandable. Thank you so much! So, is there any paperwork or anything we need to do?" Izumi asks, practically jumping from excitement.

"Well, yes, we do need to fill out the proper paperwork, so we will need to establish who the club officers are," Nezu explained, pulling some papers from his desk. "Since you all are forming the group, you will take up the officer positions for this year, then for the following years officer positions will be determined by vote."

Izumi's hand shot up. "I will be treasurer."

"I will be president, obviously," Logan followed up.

Rei looked between the two, then shrugged. "I will be secretary…?"

"Okay, I guess that means I will be vice president again," Etsuko said proudly.

Nezu nodded, writing their names down on one of the forms. "Perfect. Let's get to work on the paperwork and you can establish when you want your first meeting."

"Tomorrow," Logan said firmly.

Nezu paused, looking up from the paperwork. "I'm afraid we will not be able to collect all the equipment you are going to need by tomorrow."

"Don't worry about it," she said coolly. "I will have it here by tomorrow. I already ordered everything myself, so it's all taken care of."

"Alright then, I suppose," he said, a little surprised but not at all upset. "Snipe, are you able to stay around after school tomorrow for their first meeting?"

"Well, I ain't got anything better going on, so I suppose I can."

The four girls went right to work on filling out the necessary forms and drafting a club constitution. They only stopped when they needed to ask each other a question, leaving the rest of the faculty completely baffled about what had just happened. The teachers exchanged confused, questioning glances. Snipe went home almost immediately after his portion of the paperwork was done, leaving their questions hanging. Nezu ignored the other faculty completely, busying himself with making another cup of tea.

"So, I guess we will be getting a driver to take up to school tomorrow so we can carry in all the equipment," Logan said on the walk home, then immediately shook her head. "Actually no, I really enjoy walking. I will just have it all delivered."

Rei was walking a step behind her, a concerned frown on her face. "You guys do know that with all of these commitments we have been making at school, it is going to be harder to find time to do vigilante work." They'd already parted ways with Etsuko a few blocks back, so she felt comfortable enough to speak openly about their shared hobby.

"Listen, we still managed to get plenty done when we were in that three months of torturous hell Izumi had the audacity to call training camp," Logan pointed out. She shivered at the memory.

"Hey, we all managed to get into U.A. because of it didn't we?" Izumi said defensively. "You even got in entirely by yourself, without any sort of bribery, which is something you usually never do. I've watched you bribe people already falling head over heels in love with you just because you could."

Logan shrugged one shoulder. "Yeah, I mean, there is no way we would ever be forced to do as little as we did during that period anyways, I suppose." She clapped her hands together suddenly, like she'd just remembered something. "Also, my favorite babes, what are your thoughts on the deputy cat girl? I'm actually starting to genuinely think of her as part of our friend group. I mean, obviously not including her in any of the Sideline Squad shit we have going on. I would genuinely like to possibly have her hang out with our group outside of school more, though."

Rei thought about it for a moment. "I mean, she seems really nice so I don't see why that would be a problem. She also has at least a semblance of a sense of reason."

"Yeah plus she does mesh really fucking well with the whole group dynamic we have going on," Izumi said with a nod of approval. "Though I don't know about implying she has a better sense of reason when she also talked about 'breaking the fourth wall' today. Regardless of that though, yeah, I would be cool with us all hanging out with her more."

"Okay, cool," Logan agreed. "Well, I suppose our first chance will be at the first club meeting tomorrow, anyways."

Izumi gave a quick murmur of agreement. "Yeah, do we get to your rush to your house now?" She suggested. "I want to work more on my suits and the jetpack until curfew tonight since we agreed to lay low for at least a few more days. Also I don't have any of the expensive ass equipement that I forced you to buy at my house, so I want to make sure all the time I can spend at your house counts."

"Yeah, alright. Rei, we can play video games or something tonight while she works. We also all order a cheese pizza or something for dinner."

Rei shook her head in disbelief. "It is so unbelievably odd to me that someone who ate a dish that consisted of some of the most expensive ingredients in the world, somehow refuses to eat anything except cheese on their pizza."

"What can I say? I'm just a classy bitch," Logan said with a wink.

Izumi rolled her eyes. "Cheese pizza is not classy."

"Well, that is just a matter of opinion."
