The class was anxiously glancing around. After all it was that time of year again. Dance season. Which meant a few things. One that there would be more pressure then ever to ask someone out. Two that hearts would be broken. And three someone was going to be akumatized from something that Chloe did. Probably.

The electricity was almost visible. And Madame Bustier did a double take when she walked into the room. She cleared her throat as she walked in and placed the pile of white roses on her desk. She smiled affectionately at her class. She cared about them all so so so much! She had been making sure that they all got a proper education. They were currently learning about the French Revolution and how it was impacted by foreign powers and how they should probably try not to repeat the same mistakes of the past.

"Now class, I am going to start by passing out these flowers to everyone in class. I thought that it would be a fun change of pace for everyone to give them to the person boy, or girl, that they would like to ask out for the upcoming dance later this week." Madame Bustier said clapping her hands excitedly, trying to get everyone excited too.

Marinette Dupain Cheng jumped in her seat, clearly having been day dreaming, or sleeping. Or both. It wouldn't have been the first time. The girl always had her head in the clouds. And the class had a running bet about which period she would fall asleep in. Marinette blushed as she tried to ignore the stares from her bff Alya who snickered a little at Marinette before smiling affectionately.

Marinette sat upright as the white flower was placed in front of her. She smiled as she picked it up and sniffed it, it was so beautiful, and as white a sa pearl. She grinned and twirled it between her fingers as she glanced downwards at the golden headed angle that was sitting with wide nervous eyes staring down at the flower on his desk.

"I think I know exactly who you are asking to the dance girl." Alya said nudging Marientte's shoulder affectionately. The blue eyed girl blushed as she tried not to start blabbering on and on. After all just about everyone in the class knew that she had a crazy large crush on the young man. Now she just had to actually tell him that.

"Well I think I know exactly who you're going to ask out." Marinette said nudging Alya back and making the glasses wearing aspiring reporter blush herself. After all she and Nino had been going exclusive for a few months now and were possibly the second most steady couple in the class. Just behind Ivan and Mylene. And really no one was able to beat Ivan and Mylene. That was just a fact.

"Now class I don't want you to get distracted by these flowers, so keep them away until the break period. Then you can go around and ask people to go to the dance." Madame Bustier said with a smile and turned to the black board to begin the lesson.

Adrien was biting his thumb, he had picked up the habit from a cool fighting anime that he had started watching at night when he was supposed to be sleeping. But it was one of the only times in the day that he was able to enjoy himself without his bodyguard or Natalie breathing down his neck. He popped his thumb out of his mouth as he ran through the list of all of the girls in the class, and out of class and in Paris that might just ask him out.

And that was an insanely long list. He couldn't focus on the lesson plan, or on Nino passing him notes. The white flower filled his entire vision. His entire mind, it looked like a piece of bone that was sitting in front of him.

Chloe was definitely going to try and jump him the moment that the period was up, maybe trying to throw herself on him. Lila was also a pretty big possibility. But she was in the very back of the room. So unless she launched herself down the stairs it would take her a solid minute to walk down to him. Mylene was out she was dating Ivan, so was Alya she was dating his best bro in the entire world Nino, Rose and Juleka never seemed very interested in him in that way. Neither was Alix for that matter. That just left Marinette.

His face heated up a little bit. He always felt a bit flushed around her. Probably because she was such a great friend. Just awesome, and kind, and hard working, and with an amazing optimistic outlook on life, and she was cute as a button.

If he knew who Ladybug was he would probably ask out the heroine of Paris...But the two of them had sat down and discussed a few things about themselves, their partnership, their hopes for the future. And well...suffice to say that that option was probably blocked from him. He sighed. Why was it so hard to get asked out by someone that he actually liked?

"Maybe Kagami?" He grumbles as he glances at the teacher and then back towards the flower. She was cute, and kind, and bullheaded, and determined. And a little scary. But she was also one of his closest friends...Would it be weird to ask a friend to a dance? He had been to so few of them...

"UH Like Madame Bustier? Can't we just get this out of the way quickly?" Chloe said standing up with authority in her voice. The spoiled brat glanced towards Adrien and gave him a flirtatious smile and a wink making him smile sickly back at her. They had known each other ever since they were really little kids, and he loved her like a sister. But just as a sister, he could tell that she wanted it to be more though, he wasn't that blind. But he definitely didn't want that sort of relationship with Chloe of all people, it would be...weird...

"Now Chloe, we all know that you have a very specific person in mind, but it just wouldn't be fair to the other students if we let you pick first, besides break will be here soon. I am sure that you can wait until then." Madame Bustier said as calmly as possible, trying to keep the rest of the students calm. Although that didn't stop the dirty looks being thrown in the blonde girls direction.

"HMPH!" Chloe huffed. "We all know that there is only one girl here that is worthy of Adrien's time and attention! I am like so obviously taking him to the dance! Isn't that right Adrikin's?" Chloe said turning towards Adrien and batting her eyes at him as he felt his throat constrict, his hands start sweating and his mouth go dry.

"I...uh...well...Chloe you see..." He began.
"Madame Bustier said that we have to wait until break! He can't answer you now!" Marinette snapped back towards the waspish girl. Both girls glared daggers at each other across the aisle and Adrien felt his heart fall into his stomach. He hated it when his friends fought, even if it was Chloe and Marinette.

"Now both of you sit down and behave yourselves!" Madame Bustier clapped her hands together to get the class back on track. After all there were only so many hours in the day. She had to keep them all focused! Which was not easy!

Adrien tapped his heel, checked the clock, the day seemed to drag by. He could feel the tension in the room slowly growing reaching a breaking point. He gulped. There were only a few more minutes left of class...If he moved fast enough...

"Madame Busteir! I need to use the bathroom!" Adrien shouted and jumped up and sprinted from the room. There were still five minutes left but he wasn't going to wait for any answer.

"Adrien!" Madame Bustier called out trying to get the student back.
"Dude!" Nino yelped after his best buddy.

"That was wise." Plagg chuckled from Adrien's pocket as he noshed on a small piece of cheese and glanced up at his holder.

"I just couldn't wait any longer Plagg! If I didn't get out of there fast something was going to-" Adrien skidded to a stop just outside of the gates to school. There was a familiar looking limo parked outside. But it wasn't the one that the Gorilla drove. Kagami stood outside of it and checked her phone, her stoic face not reflecting a single emotion. Adrien leapt back inside and paused for a second, debated and then sprinted back inside. Deeper into the school, which was starting to feel more and more like a prison and less and less like a place to get an education.

"Wait, why don't you just go with the angry girl?" Plagg complained from all of the jostling that he was getting with all of the direction change, Adrien paused for a second, thought and then kept on running.

"I don't want to give her the wrong idea! I mean...Kagami is...She's complicated. And my feelings for her are complicated. And I can't just choose to ask her to the dance without all of the facts straight in my head!" Adrien said as Plagg just made more gagging noises.

Adrien ignored him. He sort of wanted to ask out Kagami but he also wanted to...not? She was strong and tough and headstrong and knew what she wanted in life. And also wasn't the girl that he loved...

"ADRIEN!" A girl shouted as Adrien came to a skidding stop in a hallway. A hallway full of girls. Each one with a different colored flower. And all looking at him with a wide smile on their faces.

"Uh oh..."Adrien said as he realized that Madame Bustier must not have been the only teacher to come up with this entire 'dance' and 'flower' and 'ask someone out during break' idea...

"I've got to ask you something!" Someone said jumping forwards with a bright red flower.
"NO! Back off! He's mine!" Another girl grasping a blue flower like a knife shouted out and pulled red flower girl back. Adrien took that time to turn and run like there was no tomorrow.

"Hey! He's getting away!" A high pitched voice shouted.

"GET HIM!" Adrien heard the stampede begin and started sprtinging.

"This is my life. How is this my life?" He grumbles as he runs around a corner. Ducks through a class room, slides across some desks, sprints up some stairs and finally finally hides behind a trash can while panting like a mad man.

"That's what you get for being so pretty." Plagg chuckles as he floats in front of his holder before floating a little higher and glancing around.

"It looks like the coast is clear. You can try to make another break for it now." Adrien stood with a sigh and rubbed his face in exhaustion.
"Plagg this is ridiculous? What am I going to do?"
"Stop being so desireable? Is that an option?" The kwamii teased as Adrien just glowered at him, once again his small floating companion was absolutely no help.

Adrien paused as he realized something.
"Crud. I left my bag back in the classroom." He couldn't just leave it there. It had his phone and his homework! He would get into a sea of trouble if he didn't have those. He slowly started sneaking back to the classroom. Whenever he heard someone coming around the corner he would duck down and try to find a hiding place. If he saw someone with a flower he would sprint and hide. It was taking him forever but he was finally at the door to the classroom.

"Ugh. I might miss lunch if I keep on sneaking around like this." Adrien grumbles as he grips his belly. He lived a very high protein diet and today it was going to be steak for lunch. One of his favorites. But if he didn't hurry and get down to the limo he might have to miss it. He sighs and walks inside.

The soft sobbing instantly caught his attention. Adrien paused, Plagg instinctively slipped into Adrien's pocket and shook his head. The kwamii of destruction didn't want to have anything to do with this! It was dumb to care about someone else! Especially when there was food to be eaten!

That was probably the biggest difference between Adrien and Plagg though. Adrien was a nice person. And cared about others more then he cared about himself. Adrien walked forwards towards the soft sobbing. He tried not to make any sudden sounds or movements. He had almost not heard the crying it was so gentle. Like the person didn't want to disturb anyone else, or get noticed.

Adrien glanced at the staircase and saw Sabrina sitting on the stairs. Face in her hands, hair covering her. Shoulders shaking gently. Her white flower was beside her, the stem slightly snapped.

Adrien stood looking down at her for a few seconds, suddenly realizing that this was probably not the best way to go about seeing if someone was okay. Just by sneaking up on them. But he was too good at sneaking. It was a gift and a curse. Sort of like his awesome looks.

"Ah...Sabrina?" He called out gently to the red head. She gasped and stiffened. Some snot was dripping down her nose and she had tear tracks down her red face. She quickly whipped off her glasses and wiped her face quickly trying to get herself looking better within a couple of seconds.

"Hello Adrien." She said stiffly. Her lips still quivering. Adrien did a double take. When he was making a list of girls in the class he had completely forgotten about her! He had just glanced right over her...It was easy to do so. She was always in Chloe's shadow. Always doing what she was told. Always just on the sidelines, invisible and forgotten.

"Is everything okay? You were crying." Adrien said realizing just how lamely that sounded. Sabrina tried to say something and then started slightly crying again.
"I'm fine...It's just...well..." She rolled the flower stem between her fingers, glancing at it, Adrien, Chloe's seat. Adrien was perceptive enough to put a few things together. Plus it was pretty much common knowledge that Sabrina had a crush on Chloe, you had to be blind to not see something like that. Everyone in the class was so obvious about their crushes it was actually sort of ridiculous.

Yep, Adrien knew about every crush in the class and just thanked his lucky stars that there was no one crushing on him at all. (Chloe and Lila didn't count) He had lucked out getting into this class, that was for sure.

"Did you ask her?" Adrien asked gently. Sabrina chuckles and sniffed a bit.
"Obviously not. I think we all know how that would have gone." Sabrina said sniffing a little. "It's just, no one asked me either. Everyone else in class probably has someone. Ivan and Mylene, Nino and Alya, Marc and Nathaniel, Even Alix and Max are going together! But me...I've got...I've got..." She began rubbing her eyes again.

Adrien felt the gears in his head turning. Slowly, then faster and faster until an almost audible ding filled the room.

"You really want to go huh?" He said. Sabrina looked up in confusion. A white flower was filling her field of vision.

"Well then how about we go together." Adrien said with a smile that could put the sun to shame.

The red head sat there silently, trying to process what she had just heard.

"Sabrina? Would you go to the dance with me?"
