Hotshot: I AM SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT OF THIS CHAPTER! I was just really not motivated(as I said before, this arc was never my favorite) and I've been busy with other stories and what not. Hope you all will understand! Now, onward to the chapter!

The Dark Network of Etemon

Everyone was sleeping soundlessly on Whamon's back with the exception of Tai and I, although I was laying down on my side with Guilmon beside me, his head on the back of his paws and snoring away. I was looking over him, watching as the scales on his side move every time he breathed. I could hear Tai starting to talk but I ignored him- until he started to jump with a cheer.

"All right everybody, wake up! Rise and shine!" Tai shouted. "We're almost to server!"

Guilmon snorted awake before yawning and getting to his feet. He nudged me to mine before turning his attention at something passed Tai.

"Come on, we're gonna be there in a few minutes! Gotta make sure we have everything we need!"

"We're really there?" asked Sora.

"Well," Izzy stood. "I'm ready for land again!"

"I'd sure like a bed that didn't move." TK added.

"Wow!" gasped Agumon once we got closer. "That island is huge!"

"I've never seen an island that big!" Byomon was in awe like the other Digimon was.

"It's not an island, it's the continent of Server." Tentomon informed them.

"Mimi, you've just gotta wake up and look at this!" Palmon shook her partner. "We're going to land on a big continent!"

"No, I'm getting a pedicure." Mimi mumbled, making me roll my eyes. I will never fully understand that girl.

"Aw, Mimi."

After a few more minutes, we were finally there. Whamon got as close to a cliff as he could and we all got off and onto solid ground, Mimi being the last.

"Good luck finding the crests!" Whamon called as he swam back out into the ocean.

"See ya Whamon!" I shouted as I waved along with everyone else. Once he dived, Mimi piped up.

"So, what are we going to do now?"

"While you were asleep, Whamon told us where to go." Palmon informed her. "In the forest a few miles from here, there's a Koromon village."

"Koromon. Why, that somehow sounds familiar."

"I was a Koromon the day you got here!" Agumon told her.

"I forgot!"

"The Koromon are a group of Digimon who are always willing to help out those in need." Tentomon buzzed.

"Okay, gang, Let's move out!" Tai grinned and off we went.

We got to the village soon enough, which was in a forest across a plain, thanks to Agumon's sense of smell. Although it wasn't the Koromon that greeted us.

Grey heads with ears and red eyes was sitting there and Tentomon quickly explained that these were Pagumon, not Koromon.

The Pagumon took Mimi and we all took off after them. He followed Mimi's cry for help and went into one of the largest tents- a tower.

"Hey, look up there! That's Mimi's hat!" Sora pointed out. We all ran up the stairs, Sora picking up Mimi's hat on the way up and found Mimi's bag. We went into another room and Tai was going towards a curtain. Sora pulled a basket with Mimi's clothes before she understood what that meant. "Tai, don't go in there!"

Tai didn't listen and pulled the curtains apart. "Mimi!"

Izzy walked up behind Tai, looking in. "Ah, Mimi, sorry!"

I winced as objects were thrown and a pan hit Tai while something else hit Izzy, knocking them backwards.

"I believe I said 'Don't go in'." Sora stated as she closed the curtains.

We were sitting down on the floor as the Pagumon danced in front of us in green party hats.

"Welcome to our village, we hope you never go!" The Pagumon sang as the sun started to set. "Stay and visit here with us, and please enjoy the show!"

"This is definitely a Pagumon village." Gabumon stated.

"Something's wrong here, Gabumon." Agumon told his friend and I had to agree. I just get this feeling. "I know what I smelled was Koromon. I'd bet my nose on it!"

The Pagumon set trays of food down in front of us. I picked up a fruit, hardly listening to the conversation going on around me and looked at it. I hasently bit into it and to my surprise, it was rather good.

"Yay, food!" Guilmon went straight for the nearest tray- it was the one sitting beside me. A sudden bright light suddenly came from TK's partner, making me close my eyes.

"Poyomon digivolve to...TOKOMON!"

"He's Tokomon again!" TK cheered as the familiar form of Tokomon jumped into his arms.

"The food made him digivolve." Izzy supplied.

"Congratulations!" smiled Matt.

"Together, we can make me Patamon again!" Tokomon chirped.

"Let's hear it for Tokomon!" Mimi stated as she stood up.

We all started to clap and the Pagumon sang a verse about it and soon, it was bedtime. I laid down just below TK and Izzy, using Guilmon's side as a pillow and soon, I was out like a light.

We all awoke by TK's shouts of Tokomon and we figured out that Tokomon was gone and we scrambled to our feet and began to look for him. Agumon had started out of the village as we searched everywhere within the village with no luck at all.

Tai was on the tallest building, looking out with his scope when we gathered there and we were discussing on what to do now. That was until Tai spotted something in the distance.

"Huh? That's weird…"

"What do you see, Tai?" asked Matt.

"Smoke by the river."

"Smoke? What?" Joe frowned.

"It"s Tokomon!" TK chirped.

"No, really, it's nothing." one of the Pagumon told us. "We looked by the river and didn't see a thing."

"Didn't see a thing." The other Pagumon echoed.

"Well, it is possible that Tokomon arrived after you Pagumon searched the area." Izzy theorized.

"Hey, I'll check it out." Tai walked out of the building.

"No, don't do that!" All of the Pagumon yelled.

"Hey, so what's the problem." frowned Sora. "We're just going to look around."

"Just take our word for it." One Pagumon told her. Then Mimi screamed, making all of us look over at her.

"Eew! Eww! Eww!" Mimi shrieked as she sat on a bench with a strangely familiar black blob sat on her knees. "What is this thing?!"

"It's a Botamon." Tentomon supplied.

"Why would there be a Botamon here?" Palmon stared at the digimon.

"What do you mean?" Matt questioned.

"Botamon is the small baby form that digivolves into Koromon and then into Agumon." Gabumon explained.

"Then the Pagumon lied to us." I stated in realization.

"It's time for us to leave here, we really hate to go. We told you this was our place and now you know it isn't so." The Pagumon sang as they began to leave. "Pagumon is our name. We're clever and we're bright. You can tell that's so…"

"There they go." Sora stared after them.

"Never trust anything without feet." Tai huffed and then we quickly made our way to the waterfall.

"Agumon!" Tai called out. "Hold on, Agumon!"

Tai ran ahead of us and made it to the waterfall. It wasn't long before Agumon digivolved into Greymon and when the water parted because of Greymon's size, I could see two grey furred Digimon standing there.

"So, you like to fight two against one, eh?" Greymon snarled. "Nova Blast!"

The attack hit the two Digimon, making them fall into the river and get carried away by the current.

"Greymon did it!" Tai grinned as TK ran over to the cage that held Tokomon, quickly getting his partner out.

"Tokomon! I thought I lost you again!" TK stated as he picked up Tokomon.

"I'm like a boomerang," Chirped Tokomon, clearly enjoying the nuzzling from TK. "I keep coming back!"

The rest of us went to the other cages and let all the now relieved Koromon out.

"The Pagumon are gone. You can all return to your village now." Sora told them with a smile. The Koromon thanked us and that's when we heard an unfamiliar voice cut through the air outside.

"Hello." There was a sound that sounded strangely like a mic.

"Oh great, a digi-rockstar." Joe stated sarcastically and we walked outside of the cave, looking around. Then, above the trees stood what looked like a large, orange monkey Digimon with shades, a microphone and a guitar.

"You measly Digidestined humans, thank you very much. Hello."

"It's Etemon, oh no!" The Koromon all huddled together in fear.

"You little bratty kids messed up my big beautiful plans. Now, I'm gonna have to punish you all by playing a little number that I just wrote, it's called wrecking the whole place."

"Wrecking the whole place?" Tai questioned.

"Do you think he could actually do that?" Izzy asked.

"Dark Network Concert Crush!"

There ground trembled before dark lines lifted up and from those lines came bolts on what seemed to be...dark energy I think. One hit the river right in front of us, showing everyone in water. Guilmon was quick to nudge me to move before I was behind everyone and he planted himself right in front of me, pupils now slits.

Then, Gabumon was digivolving to Garurumon but he and Greymon suddenly went back to rookie, making me frown.

"Something strange is going on." frowned my brother.

"Concert Crush took our power." sighed Agumon.

"Does Rock n' Roll have that effect in your world?" asked Tentomon.

"Only on our parents." Sora answered him.

"So, there's no way for us to fight this monster?" Izzy asked, hopeless.

"As we are? No." Tentomon shook his head. "If only we could digivolve a step further."

"A step...further?" Matt tilted his head slightly.

"That must be what Gennai was referring to when he told us about finding the crests and the tags." Sora realized.

"I think it's a little late for that, Sora." Joe stated. Another bolt of energy came close before it struck the top of the cave entrance, causing us all to run and retreat further and further into the cave with the Koromon before we skidded to a stop in front of a dead end that had a strange symbol on it.

"What's this?" questioned Tai as he looked.

"This is a safe place we come to hide when something happens to our village." answered one Koromon.

"What do we do now?"

From under his shirt, Tai's began to glow, making him slide his tag out. This caused the walls, roof and floor to glow an orange color. Then, the symbol began to shrink smaller and smaller before it was half of the size of the tag and it floated in front of Tai.

"I think I know what this is."

"Okay, what?" asked Matt.

"A crest." the no realized crest slotted itself into Tai's tag. "Now we've got a crest!"

"Awesome!"

"Look!" Sora pointed in front of us, making us look and to our surprise, the deadend was gone and beyond us was exit that lead out into a forest.

"Didn't this use to be a wall?" asked Joe.

"Yeah, but the crest must had brought us here. These mountains are a long way from how village." One Koromon explained.

"Alright! Frequent flyer miles."

"This place is the bomb." stated Matt.

"It's beautiful." Mimi commented.

Tai looked down at his crest with a grin. "With this crest, we could do anything we want. You know guys, I think this is the first step on our trip home!"

TK and I cheered together, grinning at each other happily.
