Sabrina knew that she was ugly. It wasn't like she could hide it. Orange clown hair, a big nose, a bad fashion sense and most of her clothes were second hand, and glasses that made her look like a nerd like Max.
She knew that she wasn't attractive. No matter how many times her dad said that she was the prettiest girl in the entire city. He was supposed to say that, he was her dad. So he didn't count. He also said that every boy in the school would probably ask her out as some point. So it just showed how oblivious the good natured man was.

She loved her dad but she wasn't dumb. She was ugly. Especially compared to someone like Chloe, who was just so...so...so pretty, and perfect, and confident. Or someone like Marinette who was so sweet and caring and compassionate and never seemed to care if something went wrong.

Sabrina wished that she could be as pretty as either of them. But she also knew that it wasn't going to happen. So she wasn't deluding herself. Adrien probably just asked her out because he felt bad for her. She should have said no, told him straight out that she didn't need his pity, and that she had more self respect then that.

But she hadn't she had jumped on the opportunity to go out with him. God she was pathetic.

"Uh? Sabrina? Is everything okay in there?" Marinette called into the dressing room knocking on the door with a concerned look on her face. Sabrina shook herself out of her self pitying funk. She had asked Marinette for her help and by gum she was going to use the fashionista's advice as much as she could! Sabrina knew that she couldn't go to Chloe, Chloe would ask too many questions and also make fun of her and say mean stuff like how she didn't really have a date and she was just a big faker.

But Marinette? Well Sabrina could lie to Marinette very easily. And she was going to do so for as long as possible!
"UH! YEP! Just seeing it from another angle!" Sabrina said. Marinette chuckled and Sabrina instantly froze, a million different thoughts going through her head. Marinette making fun of her, thinking she was lame, calling her names, thinking that she was pathetic. Sabrina felt her heart beat go absolutely wild.

"That's what we're here for! Just come on out! Don't worry about a thing! We'll be honest!" Marinette called back in. She turned to where Alya sat. Alya was quickly typing like a mad woman on her phone, only occassionaly looking up to give a noncommital grunt to anything that was going on around her.

Marinette had tried to glance over her BFF's shoulder but Alya had always shook her head and hid the screen, eventually Marinette had took the hint and respected her friend's privacy. Alya would go back to typing faster and faster on her phone. If Marinette had to guess it was probbaly Nino, or to her older sister or mom for some boy advice.

It would all work out though, it always did for Alya.

The dress shop that the three girls were in was known for permitting modifications to the dresses and even encouraging people to design their own and sold fabric by the yard. Something that drove Marinette absolutely bonkers with joy. She frequented the shop often.

The door to the dressing room slowly eased open and Sabrina stepped out nervously rubbing one shoulder self consciously.
"So uh...what do you think?" She asked as she did a quick twirl. Marinette grinned and held Sabrina steady by the shoulders before quickly bouncing all around her, checking her out from heel to forehead, she nodded her head with a smile and finally settled behind her.

"You look great! Right Alya?" Marinette asked as Alya glanced up quickly and then put her phone down. Alya smiled and nodded, she knew how to boost anyones confidence and self esteem just with a nod of the head. Sabrina blushed at the small nod. It was like getting a thousand compliments all at once!

"Girls? Is that you over there?" A voice that sounded just like a dozen bells jingling at once came from beside them. Rose walked around the corner next to the two other shortest girls in class, Mylene and Alix. The trio all stopped short when they spotted Sabrina standing beside Marinette and Alya, and dressed in a really really nice dress too.

"Wow! Sabrina that's so pretty!" Rose squealed as she rushed forwards and began admiring the dress. "The flow, the patterns, the fabric! It looks professionally made!" She turned to Marinette and smiled nervously.
"Oh...uh no offense."

"None taken. I guess?" Marinette said in confusion. It was a pretty dress but there were a few things that could be used to improve it, a few tucks here and there and the entire thing would be perfect!

"What are you three doing here anyways?" Marinette said as she turned to Alix and Mylene. Alix rolled her eyes as Mylene nudged her and raised an eyebrow.

"Ugh. These two insisted that I go and buy a dress for this thing. I've got nothing against buying a dress, I just don't think I need a new one for a crummy dance." Alix said as Mylene smiled bashfully.
"We would have asked you but you seemed a little...well...With Adrien and everything..."Mylene said poking her fingers together and trying not to sound mean about it. All of the girls instantly stiffened and glanced at Marinette, Marinette blushed like a tomato and waved her hands in response trying to divert attention away from herself.

"Oh no seriously it's totally fine! I would love to help make Alix a dress it's just Sabrina asked me first and I sort of promised her and now I've been talking too long and we should really go back to looking at how pretty of a dress Sabrina is wearing right?" Marinette said getting it all out in one long breath, Alya raised an eyebrow impressed that her BFF didn't fall over from all of that so fast. Marinette cleared her throat and turned back to Sabrina with an encouraging grin.

"Go ahead and give us a spin! Show off that dress girl!" Marinette encouraged. Sabrina did a quick twirl, then a longer one and then with a small grin she quickly went in a fast circle. She only stopped when she heard some clapping coming from Alix who smirked.

"Pretty good, but Marinette would have made a better one." Alix stated simply. Making Marinette blush now.

"It's so pretty Sabrina! You look sort of like a princess!" Rose said excitedly Sabrine grinned gratefully in response.

"Oh it's just a dress, it's not that special." She said trying to wave it off.
"You're right, it's the person who is wearing the dress that makes it special." Marinette pointed out.

"What are you some sort of fortune cookie?" Alix scoffed, but she quickly shut up the moment that she saw Sabrina's wide grinning face, and the slight blush on the red heads cheeks.

"It is a very pretty dress." Sabrina said as she nodded to Marinette again. "Thank you for helping me pick this out. Chloe normally just has me try on one or two and then she tries on a few dozen, so go ahead and take your time, we can ring my purchase up after-" She was cut off by Alya wrapping her arms around Sabrina's shoulders.

"Oh no no no no. Sabrina I don't think you understand. You asked for Marinette's help. Which means you get all of our help. Which means that you are the one trying on all of the dresses." Sabrina gazed in wide eyed shock as her classmates surrounded her. She gulped in amazement unsure about how to process that.

The next few hours passed like a blur as she was shuffled from one dress to the next. A lot of terms were tossed out like corset, lace, and even bonnet once or twice (Or three times Rose for some reason was really into Bonnets? It was odd) Before she knew it she collapsed onto a nearby bench and wiped her brow. She liked to think that she was in decent shape, she did a lot of work for Chloe, carried things, fetched things, ran for her amusement. Stuff that a really good friend was supposed to do!

But this was taking her to her physical limits! She didn't know if she would be able to keep this up much longer! They had tried on a mountain of shoes, shuffled to a store that exclusively sold make up, tried on a dozen different shades of lipstick and eyeliner, it was crazy half the time!

She touched her glasses and smiled, they never once told her to take them off, in fact when she suggested it a few times they said that she looked pretty enough with them on. It was actually really rather sweet.

Alix plopped down beside Sabrina and cracked her back and smirked over towards her.

"So. Who's the lucky person?" She asked with a smirk. Sabrina gulped and blushed and played with her fingers, she and Adrien hadn't exactly said that it was a secret...but he had asked her privately, and he was Adrien Agreste, the coolest guy in school, possibly in the entire world. And she was plain old mean Sabrina, why would he want anyone to know that they were going to a dance together?

"I...I...I..."
"If you don't want to tell me that's cool." Alix said nodding in response. "I'll learn at the dance and I'm cool with that." Sabrina gazed at the pink haired girl suspicously. She always acted as if she knew more then everyone else but didn't care about it. The fact that she was short enough to hide anywhere and then sneak up on you also didn't help. It was like going to school with a pink haired gremlin.

"Well who are you going with?" Sabrina asked trying to turn the tables, or at least change the subject.

"Eh, Max I guess. Kim is asking out some girl on his swim team so I've got to play wingman or whatever to keep Max from crying his eyes out in front of Kim." Alix said with cool but not cruel indiffernce. As if she expected something like this to happen but didn't care enough to do anything about it.

"Oh! Well...oh my..." Sabrina said blushing, she felt like she was turning into a tomato with how much she was blushing. Alix chuckled and glanced at the others.

"Yep. It's sort of weird sometimes. Rose and Juleka have the strongest relationship out of any of us and they're not even dating. Alya and Nino are a close second but..." She pointed towards Alya who was trying not to screech at her phone screen in irritation.

"Yeah I think she forgot to ask him or something. Typical am I right? Ivan and Mylene are practically married and its adorable. Which just leaves..."The crash reverberated through the store as they all flinched and glanced at Marinette where she huddled behind a trio of fallen mannequins and was trying to use her phones camera to glance over them to see through the window.

Outside much to everyone's amazement was Adrien. Walking with Nino and his large mute bodyguard.

"And then there's Marinette." Sabrina sighed at the love struck young woman. It was actually rather nice to know that someone as cool as Marinette could still get tripped over by her emotions.

"Come on, now comes the fun part where we make fun of her and help clean up the store." Alix said standing and Sabrina blinked in astonishment. She had been invited. She had actually been invited by a classmate to do something. She tried to hide the glee in her step as she followed after the short pink girl.
