After a few days later when Castiel was well enough, Eleanor invited him to her home away from home, which was safer and heavily warded against both angels and demons. She offered he could stay for as long as he needed and he graciously accepted.

They had spent a lot of time there together. Eleanor had taught him how to cook and bake and learn simple things around the house. He even started helping her out down at the bar to earn his keep, which he insisted.

Eleanor took alot of time off from work knowing that Tom and Marie were very much capable of handling things alone for a while.

She and Cas had become close friends. She had taken him on a tour around the city, teaching him everything he needed to know about life in L.A. They sometimes went on occasional hunts together or calling in Sam and Dean or Bobby.

They went trekking up to the Hollywood sign and taking pictures like tourists. They visited the pier very often because Cas liked it there. He eventually told her about his Grace and what Naomi had told him. "You're still my Angel Castiel and no matter what happens I'll be here for you." Eleanor had often told him.

Over the weeks Sam and Dean had visited a couple times happy to see them both and still begging for Cas to come back home. He had told them that he liked it there and wasn't planing on leaving any time soon.

Dean had teased Cas, saying he was in love with Eleanor. The way he stood protectively over her when they were together, the way he looked at her with his piercing blue eyes with such hunger and longing. That alone confirming it to be true when Cas had blushed fifty shades of crimson even though he still didn't quite understand what that meant. So he denied it of course and told Dean to mind his own business.

One night Castiel decided he wanted to surprise Eleanor when she got home from work. He wanted to thank her and show her his gratitude for all that she had done for him.

He had cooked her a simple steak dinner with mashed potatoes and streamed veggies, a recipe he picked up watching cooking shows on Food Network and her favorite apple pie for desert.

He set everything up on the dining table and opened a bottle red wine, knowing Eleanor would be home at any minute.

He stood at the dinner table waiting, a little nervous, hoping Eleanor would like it.

He heard the truck pull up (sometimes she drove his truck to work) he quickly lit candles when he heard her walking up the stairs and unlocking the door.

"Cas? I'm home!" She called out.

"I'm in here!"
