Part 4d – En Plibus Screwup
It was not until we were airborne had the call come over the comms that the RSB were taking over control of all outbound and inbound flights for the next two cycles, Sadly, they were too late to simply ground Tooge, amazingly enough, he did not seem too upset when RSB sent a pair of patrol craft to try and coax him back down. Either the Jedi code overrode them, or something else did. I am thinking the Jedi code overrode them. I too scared to think of anything else

"From what it sounds like, RSB isnt happy we're leaving, its like they think we attacked that senator" Kara said as she heard the string of huttese curses over the comm, thankfully Kira was asleep and outside the bridge in the arms of the young Padawan who had joined Kara to the bridge during liftoff.
They were getting closer to the hyperlane point when the RSB cruiser came up on them, trying to hem them in. "CR90, you are in direct opisition to the orders relayed to you. Shut down your systems be ready to board." Came the call.
Tooge smirked, turning to Undryl, as if asking what to. Undryl recognised the cruiser, but she knew fighting it was not an option. Away from the comm she asked Tooge, "how soon until Hyperspace ?"
"Two minutes" He replied, they could stall them for two minutes.
Undryl nodded, "Kara, do you have the codes from the others ?" Undryl asked the human woman, who nodded and handed the Tooka a cylinder. Containing a bunch of codes, all of them Jedi codes. The RSB had no offical grounds to try and stop a Jedi vessel from doing its job.
But the RSB patrol ship ignored the codes. Stating over the comm "CR90, you have a escaped convicted prisoner aboard, you are to stop your movement, shut down your engines and allow for boarding." Undryl rolled her eyes.
Kara stared at the ship, this was not part of her nightmare, but the Tartan Patrol cruiser was scarily familiar. "We need to get out of here" Kara said softly to Undryl, the Tooka nodded, as did Tooge. "Can you get us safely to Corellia ?" she asked Tooge, who nodded.
"I can" He said simply, the RSB didnt have any oversight of Jedi matters, so he smirked and said "Master Stathe, would you like to take the comm ?"
"I might as well" Undryl replied, giving the Rishii a look, the bird knew what she meant, the second the navicomputer had the data they needed, hit it. Undryl hit the comm, "this is Jedi Master Stathe, you are interfering with offical Jedi business, stand down now and let us pass freely" She said
Kara held her breath, a beat passed, then another. A tenth of a cycle went past. It had been already ten minutes too long. They should be in hyperspace by now.
Another tenth of a cycle went passed bfeore a reply was sent. "Very well, CR90 you may proceed to your destination." The Tartan cruiser had apparently cleared things with the Jedi council directly while some of them were in the Chancellors office. That also meant the mention of Shenniah as a prisoner was dismissed of all charges. The patrol cruiser pulled away
The three in the cockpit breathed a sigh of relief, it wasnt worth it for the slew of huttese curses thrown at them however to make things an issue. Tooge hit the hyperdrive and they were off. "When we get to Corellia, whats the plan ?" Undryl then asked turning to Kara who took a seat at the navigation station.
"At this moment, getting off Coruscant was the first step. Where to go from there, I hadnt fully thought about it outside of ending up ultimately on Arda 3" She replied, it was only getting to Arda three that was the issue, as long as they simply got there.
"Why Arda 3 ?" Tooge asked simply as he sat back in the pilots seat calmly.
"I do not know" Kara said simply, it was the truth, she had no idea why they were being lead there of all places. "I just know we need to get to Arda three, somehow. We'll be safe there." Tooge simply nodded, he knew it wasnt his place to pry into such details.
The Padawan stepped into the bridge then, the infant in her arms. "Master Kaal, Kira is hungry and I dont know where you put her food." She said, it was mostly true, Kara had only packed minimal food for each infant.
Undryl had to smile seeing the Jedi Librarian, at least the Former Jedi Librarian, holding and caring for an infant no older than what looked to be a few days old ? The girl said the infants name was Kira, so as Undryl watched, the child handed the baby to Kara. "Your daughter ?" Undryl asked her
"Yes" Kara answered, "She is one of the reasons I wanted to take a group of Knights, younglings and apdawans away from Coruscant to somewhere safe. I want to spare her the horrors of seeing... well, what happened to the senators ship is an example of it" Kara pointed out her nightmare.
Undryl raised a paw. "Say no more, soon as we get to Corellia My father can help us plan a means of getting you to Arda three. From what I understand it is a beautiful planet and nobody sees it as any strategic item. We can put everyone up at the house too if we must do so. I am sure Mother would love to help you care for the infants as well" Undryl said, Kara looked greatly relieved, finally there was someone who was more concerned for their health and safety then anything else. Which was just fine for her.
"Thank you" Kara said, she then took her leave of the bridge, Undryl watched her go. Tooge looked back towards the door as it slid shut, the young Padawan remaining. Tooge eyed the girl with a curious clance "What can I do for you kiddo ?" he asked her
"I think first you need to ask her for her name" Undryl said simply. Tooge cast a glance to her.
"She's a Jedi, and a child, so a name really isnt needed at the moment if she doesnt wanna give it" He said, his tone was gentle, and in a way enticing enough to cause laughter in the young girl
Finally after getting a hold of herself she said simply with a shy smile. "I am Tanya, Master Kara took me in and helped me with my studies when at the Temple. In return I helped her when she was carrying her baby, Kira to term and in a way her assistant at the Temple library too"
"A pleasure to meet you" Tooge said with a nod in greeting to the girl
Undryl too, smiled in greeting. "Undryl Stathe" She said pointing at herself, Tanya stared at her confused.
"Undryl Stathe, Master Kaal mentioned a Jedi by that name, is that you ?" Undryl noidded at the question. Tanya then nodded as well, "Ok good, it was weird seeing the holo of a funeral on Corellia, where we're going ? And the woman being buried was named Undryl Stathe, personally though, I think its fitting you share her name. But then you might not be sharing it, you might be her ?" Trust a child to know the absolute truth.
Undryl smiled, the Tooka nodded, "Tooge knows the story as well. Its true, I was indeed the human, Undryl Stathe of Corellia, where we are indeed going. I guess the truth will eventually become public knowledge at some point, but in truth, I was indeed human, but I was killed, the Force brought me back in this body. And apparently the Jedi have always seen me as a fellow Master somehow. I chose not to question it"
She looked at Tanya, a curious look on the girls face. "Does that make sense ?"
Tanya was quiet for a long moment, she then nodded. "It makes sense, if the Force willed it, then we gotta do it, right ?" Who could say no to that logic ? As Yoda once said to a certain Jedi Knight, truly wonderful the mind of a child is.
So to that Undryl simply smiled as Tooge spoke up. "We'll be at Corellia in the hour, best you get some rest and try to relax." He then pointed towards the chair Kara previously sat in. "You can sit down there if you'd like." Tanya was, as he could see, facinated by the ship itself. Apparently Jedi like her didnt get out much. So taking Kira Kall, and her group to Arda 3 was the perfect Jedi transportation request.
Tanya took a seat, within minutes she was asleep, she was infact unable to sleep all night long on Coruscant due to nightmares and helping Kara with the baby, Kira. Undryl had to smile as she got a pillow for the girl to rest upon. This would make things easier on the girls neck. The Tooka thought

In the commons area of the CR90, a conference dinning room of a sort. An older Jedi conversed with Baozi, it felt strange able to finally rest after so long of so many duties, but Jedi Master, Varil Rige of Alderaan felt the first chance in a lifetime to just stop feeling as if someone were watching his every move and that he could relax.
Baozi for his part was more relaxed than he normally was, traveling with Tooge, and now with Undryl, as well as his Padawan Nyxia normally put a strain on him, and yet for once he could stretch and relax, not be so tense, but he still had not yet found out who killed Undryl, but they did figure out why.
Yoda had a few more missions for Bodgey to continue on, so while Undryl and Bodgey spoke over comlink holo on advice of what to do over the next few weeks. Undryls first plan was to get Kara and her group safely to Arda Three, and then if Kara requested it, transport more Jedi younglings to safety there as well.
But for that moment, Boazi was in conversation with Varil. The two Jedi Masters knew each other, as they had grown up in the same clan as children, and then stayed in contact throughout their Jedi careers. "It feels good doesnt it ?" Baozi asked to his old friend.
"Yes, able to relax. I feel as if there are no more prying eyes watching my every move each day of my life. Waiting to strike when I move wrong, or cough, or something." Varil said.
"For once the chance to really just take a breath, and not worry of your next step is unsettling too" Baozi mused aloud. The first time he had relaxed, it wasnt easy, he was so used to being on edge, watching consatantly for someone to strike at him when he made the wrong move.
"I agree" Varil said, he sighed the conversation then turned to where they were headed at that moment. "Of all places, why Arda Three ? It has no strategic value to either the sepratists, nor the Republic, and yet it is a pleasure world, a untarnished paradise. So why does Master Kaal want to go there ?"
"Master Kaal said she is plauged by nightmares, and most of her good dreams that are not nightmares kept mentioning or leading her to Arda Three" Baozi mused. Varil simply nodded, he had nothing to add to that train of thought. At least, for the moment.
"Master Kaal kept talking of how Arda Three was safe, that she could raise the younglings in a safer location away from Coruscant, away from politics, away from... fear." Varil said, he had a thoughtful look on his face. "The way she spoke about her dream, the way she was scared. According to Master Koth, Master Kaal, was white as a linen sheet when she spoke about her nightmares."
"Then they must have truth to them, Kara never lead the Council astray in other matters before had she ?" Baozi mused, Kara had helped, thanks to her dreams, in finding and securing many priceless artefacts, pieces of technology, and one case, a lost Jedi student on another planet. So getting nightmares and dreams about what she was apparently seeing the future of the galaxy in made it all the more important to get as many children as she could to safety.
And if Arda three was the planet of choice, then maybe the Force willed it ? So Baozi proposed just that same question., "What if the Force willed it ?"
"How do you mean ?" Varil asked him, a confused expression on his aged face.
"What if the Force is directing Master Kaal, telling her, guiding her, where to go to keep the children safe ?" Baozi said
"What surprises me the most is that Kara Kaal is a mother, a daughter she named Kira. Nobody knows who the father is, and Yoda felt it most important to not exile or drive Kara away. He made it clear that under no circumstances was Kara to be treated like an outsider because of her child and her pregnancy" Varil explained how the Jedi council had found out Kara was with child, she had no idea who the girls father was, she never could recall sleeping with anyone whatsoever for that matter.
Baozi was quiet, it wasnt right to pry into another Masters affairs, he raised a hand in thought. "Master Rige, you raise many good points, but I feel we may be going into territory that Master Kaal would rather us never speak about without her present to help us with our worries and confusion. I feel it best we get what rest we can. Master Stathe said she'd make sure you all had a place to stay on Corellia before going to Arda Three."
"Corellia ?" Varil asked, the older man was confused, "You mean we are not enroute to Arda Three as we speak ?"
"Nope, we're enroute to Corellia, once there, I think we'll make plans to get a bigger ship to safely get you to Arda Three" Baozi replied simply, Varil nodded, yes, that could work nicely.

Undryl knocked on a cabin door. "Come in" Came Shenniahs not so gruff voice, in the jail she sounded strong, but now, safely away, safely aboard the ship and headed for home, Undryl could tell her friend was spent, exhausted for wont of a better term.
Stepping inside, Undryl closed the door behind herself. "You doing alright ?"
Turning to the Tooka, Shenniah stared, now able to see that Undryl still wore the same dress she had worn the last week, really since dying. "Do I know you ?"
"Maybe ?" Undryl asked, Shenniah wanted it to be Undryls voice, it sounded like Undryls voice. "How can I explain this to you Major, a week ago on Corellia you were called away, it was a fake call, during that time between you leaving your charge, a woman named Undryl Stathe and coming back to her, someone with a lightsaber cut her down in cold blood in the rain."
"Yes, I remember that, its all they wanted me to talk about" Shenniah replied sullenly
"You remember what Undryl last said to you ?" Undryl asked her
"Yes, she said I could keep this outfit, she said it looked good on me, then she stopped breathing." Shenniah said. Undryl nodded
"Yup, that exactly is what happened, I stopped breathing, and then woke up, on Rishi, like this" She gestured to herself, "If you dont believe me, Bodgey said you can call her on the holo for confirmation."
"Only one person ever calls Master Stardrifter, 'Bodgey', so that enough is proof for me" Shenniah said, a soft smile graced the womans face.
"Get some sleep, some proper sleep, we'll be home soon" Undryl said simply to her with a gentle smile, she had a lot of explaining to do for sure.
