part 4g – Return to Naboo

When word came over the Holonet that the debate in the senate had stalled and even more systems had joined the sepratists, it briefly made me wonder if what Kara said about her nightmares were true, war was coming

-Undryl Stathe, Corellia, 17 days before the battle of geonosis

"So that was Amidalas ship that exploded the day we left Coruscant" Tanya said simply as the holonet changed over to a sporting game between two types of droids while another screen showed a podrace in progress

"The woman used a decoy apparently, something happened at the senate apartment complex when a Jedi dove out the window and there was a speeder chase that ended at the Outlander Club later the same night" Madiem said, had it happened on Corellia, shit would have been stopped before it started.

The two were having breakfast, the group had been on Corellia about three days since leaving Coruscant. Toioge had agreed to help get Kara and her enturage to Arda Three as soon as safely possible, so he then left to scout an optimal route that could get them there with minimal stops.

So with Tooge gone, that left Kara, her infant, Kira, the former Jedi Master, Varil Rige, and a few other Knights and then the padawans and younglings. Stuck on Corellia. However it was not entirely a bad thing as Tooge was a able pilot and the ship was fast, and roomy. So occasionally while Undryl was sniffing out issues in new CR90 corvettes on the assembly line behind her bedroom, she occasionally took Tanya with her.

Tanya of course asked if she could wander Balkavan Hall freely, she felt she needed to be there. Undryl knew what wshe meant, Tanya was holding Master Yarel Poof's hilt in her hands when she spoke of the feeling to be at the hall. "You feel the call of a crystal ?" Undryl asked her

The girl nodded. "I do, yes. Its call is weak, but it sounds like faint music. Like someone singing a soft song. It sounds... content" Tanya said, Undryl felt the same thing concerning the first time she found the Forcesaber on her own belt. But the time she had found it, was wasnt a jedi, she had no connection to the Force, nor was she a fuzzy four foot tall Tooka

So after breakfast the next morning, Undryl planned to take Tanya to the Balkavan Hall, the same place wherein she herself was killed outside of. Not that it really mattered of course but still.

"You're sure you want to go there again ?" Madiem asked to Undryl, the Tooka stopped at her mothers question, it was true, Balkavan Hall was where she had been killed in the rain. But Undryl had come to terms with her death and accepted that she was now a Tooka, not a human woman anymore. Just a Tooka.

But her mtoher had a worried tone in her voice. Should they go ? "Mother, I feel I should take Tanya there, she's been hearing music from there and I feel a crystal for her lightsaber is calling to her. Dont worry, I'll go with her." She smiled then "Dont worry Momma, I'll call you when we get there, then when Tanya finds what she seeks, and when we head back home. I Promise"

Madiem wasnt so sure, but she constented. "Alright, at least have some breakfast before you go" Madiem herself had cooked the food for once, and it came out great. So the three enjoyed a hearty meal before it was time to get rolling. So to speak. It was one rocket tram shot to Axial Park, where Balkavan hall was located.

A good half cycle later and the two women were at the Hall. "I hear it again" Tanya said, "Soft music, content, but also a sense of urgency to the musical melodic feeling"

"I hear it too, the crystal is calling you. I already spoke with the Halls overseer, he agreed to allow you to take whatever crystal is calling to you for your lightsaber, I already paid him for it, whatever crystal is singing, it is calling tyo you, not to me. Come, lets go find it. Lets help you on your path to becoming a Jedi"

Tanya smiled and the two wandered the hall, holo models floated in varius locations and a row of shelves held old useless holocrons and datacrons that even when Undryl tried to make them work, they were useless failures, holocrons took ages to make and master, but some of them could be failures, not being made whatsoever. Going so far as to really just make a work of art or a nice paperweight.

But Tanya ignored almost everything in public view. And was drawn towards the refreshers on the third floor, the literal back end of the whole hall, where stuff was put into sorting for either storage, exhibition, or destruction. Going to where the music was steadly getting louder the two women came across a bag of gemstones., some of them very old, but still filled with lustre of life.

Upon movement pof the bag howeever Undryl noticed the music seemed to move from one side of her face to the other as Tanya looked through it and started briefly pacing as she sought for a table before finding one and then gently pouring out the various crystals.

A good four dozen kyber crystals of several different colors and types were on the table in front of music continued to get warmer every time Tanya picked up a crystal, growing faint when she tried to feel if the stone she had picked up was the one singing to her.

After a good few moments of trying to find the right stone, Tanya started to grow distressed, but then forced herself to take a breath, to calm down, to clear her mind. Focusing inwardly she closed her eyes and felt for the Force, which crystal was singing the content song of longing to be with her ?

That was when the girls eyes snapped open, It was not just one single crystal singing, it was a whole chorus of voices. Opening her eyes, even Undryl statred, a good two dozen of the five dozen stones were glowing with beautiful light. Each of them singing a beautiful song in tune with the others.

"It looks like you found your lightsabers crystals" Undryl said, the song they were singing was beautiful. Grabbing up a small bag, Tanya gently picked up each singing crystal, noting clearly the crystals were infact a mix of kyber and lorridan the ones that sung were mostly kyber, but one of them was strange, it had a more gutteral feel to the song it sang. Like a dragon of some form ?

It didnt matter at that moment as she gently tied off the bag. "I found you, please keep singing, your song is beautiful" Tanya said softly in Huttese, it made Undryl briefly wonder about this girl, and yet Tanya was surprisingly gentle with the crystals. Undryl then found another bag and gently pout the other three dozen stones and crystals into it before setting it back on the tray.

"That's set then ?" Undryl asked her, Tanya nosdded, both women then left Balkavan hall in good spirits as Undryl got on the comm to her mother. They had found a few items that Tanya needed, surprisingly more then they had expected, but each one equally important in and of itself.

It was time to meet up with Kara. But they had a guest waiting for them, a guy that Undryl never expected to meet on Corellia.
