Part 4j – Denon for a Day

Denon is trying to be like Coruscant, only without the politics, conduiteworms and the Jedi, Denon is considered more like a shipping warehouse ? Its hard to explain. Where was I going with this ? Oh right, we were avoiding Coruscant as much as possible so we went to Denon and made a pitstop

-Undryl Stathe, Denon 12 days before battle of Geonosis

Four more days had passed after the news of the cloaked stranger had left Coruscant. Thankfully the stranger had no idea where Undryl had gone, so that meant that some things could be looked at in a new light. Tooge had returned the day after Kara and Tanya had their talk, he had a route mapped out but it included a cargo drop off from Corellia to Denon he had to make.

Which meant they'd be at Denon for a day before heading to Onderon, and then from there up to Ossus, and then from Ossus it was a straight shot to Arda system. So that meant they had a day at the most at Denon, which was where they;d be briefly stopped at, a massive warehouse complex.

"CR90 from Corellia, please hold in your current position for unloading processes" Came a voice over the comm. Tooge smirked

"Whats that about ?" Tanya asked as she joined Tooge and Undryl on the bridge, she was curious, that is what Bodgey had said. Undryl remembered, a brief pang of longing weas felt but Undryl knew it wouldnt work, it was merely her being jealous of the Human girl, Tanya Dar'Faran, because she was a human.

"Oh, that, its simple, basic standard process of making deliveries, the lower cargo hold is going to get detatched for about an hour, emptied, then reattached to the ship, once that is all done, we'll be given the go ahead of an all clear to continue onto Onderon for gas, and then from there up yto Ossus for this delivery, and from Ossus, its just one more parsec to Arda Three" Tooge explained, he had done deliveries to Denon before, even picked up deliveries. And he never had to leave his ship in doing so.

So they'd be at Arda three before the day was out ? Not entirely, but still it made sense to hope for such a thing. Tanya was quiet. Denon was a maze of containers of all shapes and sizes. Nobody knew it then but Denon was going to be a major supplier for deliveries very soon, and not just for war supplies, but for materials and parts, for something.

It took just under two cycles to complete the cargo transfer and they were on their way. Nobody on board were questioned or watched or even so much as glanced at by anyone. Instead, the cargo crews were focused strictly on their jobs

Onderon was a different story as they arrived briefly to get more fuel to get them to Ossus. Tooge was questioned of where he was going as he showed his BoSS datapad, according to Boss had both passengers, assorted women, men and children, who were enroute to a planet they wished to move to, it looked more like a huge family and Tooge of course lied saying he offered a cheap meothd of safe transport for them to a planet near Ossus.

At which point the Republic officer on duty nodded, handing Tooge his BoSS datapad saying "Ah yes, pilgrims, we get them a lot through here, but not as often as you might think, Welcome to Onderon, state your business, Captain Tooge ?" The officer was a nicer fellow then normal it seemed once he ensured the people, Tooges Passengers were pilgrims, based on their clothing style they indeed were.

Tooge relayed he needed fuel and foodstuffs to continue the journey and the officer agreed, ordering the supplies be brought and the ship hooked into the fuel leg. To get a full tank. A good two cycles later and Tooge had paid for his gas and it was time to go.

That whas when the troubles began. The cloak stranger had been patrolling for the past five days aboard a Skipray Blastboat type vessel and had spotted the CR90, scanning it carefully he spotted a seemingly unremarkable sight, pilgrims, harmless really. But then there was that faint song that was driving the acolyte crazy.

He could follow the ship, yes, he could follow, and find out more. Staying far from the planet then as he called up a notice, he needed fuel and directions, his anvicomputer was damaged so it also needed slight repairs, or at best a updated hypersdpace map package to install.

This gave the cloaked stranger trhe chance to get close without arusing anyones suspicions while being so close. He paid for his fuel, and he also paid for some food and a updated hyperspace routes package. As the CR90 lifted away he asked to the officer. A flick of the wrist to use a mind trick on the guy. "Where were that ship going ? Who was aboard ?"

"To Ossus, Sir, they are pilgrims seeking a peaceful prilgrim path. I felt it unimportasnt to learn more of their intentions, they simply wanted to get to Ossus and needed fuel." The cloaked stranger nodded and thanked the man. Sometimes it didnt hurt to be kind. A good cycle later and the strangers ship was refueled and his navicomputer properly updated.

The skipray blastboat was a dangerous type of vessel, only a scant few of them were made, but those that were normally found their way into the hands of bounty hunters and other similar groups.

Turning slightly as they traveled through hyperspace and then dropped from hyperspace in orbit of Ossus, Tanya felt something out of the back of her mind, it felt weird, scary, cold. But then the feeling went away as they once more jumped to hyperspace. This time for Arda three.

"Arda Three is mostly grasslands, a paradise of a sort, it has two major cities, one in the Northern Poile, the center of the Northern Graslands, and a city on the southern pole, on the bottokme of the southern grasslands, the equator was a string of mountains that split the world basically into two parts, the Northern half, and the Southern half." Tooge explained

"I managed to get a docking code for the Northern city, I dont remember the name of it, but since it is in the Northern side of the planet, it will be nicer there, more what you're used to." Tooge said almost apologetically.

But Kaqra didnt care, Tooge had come through on his end of the bargain and that meant he was more then helpful on this venture. "It is alright, Captain Tooge, you got us here, once we land and debark, we can handle the rest easily." For once, a dream of hers was infact coming true instead of a nightmare.

But lately she had more nightmares, a galaxy embroiled in war was soon to come, and it was not going to be easy to get through it, but she somehow felt that Arda Three was going to be left alone.

The Arda system consisted of three planets, Arda 1, a barrent rock mostly with predators and canyons reminded Kara of Tatooine. The second planet, Arda Two, was mostly used as a source of naturally grown food. And Arda Three itself was more used as a pleasure paradise over anything else, they even offered pleasure cruises through the Grater Javien sector as well. Which meant that over time one could get around in peace.
