I need to finish this story soon so I can make the Little Dinosaur Girl II. And thank you all for the wonderful comments and a big thanks to JurassicMilitary19 for giving ideas about Tim.

Enjoy!

"Tell me this again, slowly." Owen said seriously as he was at Wu's private room with Claire, Tim, Lexi, Sofia, and Alex.

Mike contacted them as fast as he could, saying that it was an emergency. Owen came in a heartbeat since it was involved with his niece. Speaking of his niece, Val was still asleep from the car ride as she was still too sleepy to even wake up. She was resting at Wu's bed since they needed to have a private talk about the situation.

"Mortem sent a spy here on Jurassic World." Jay explained to the group. "My guess is that he found out about Wu's Creation of the Indominus Rex AND files of Val's ability in talking with them and all dinosaurs."

"The likely scenario, Mortem might come after her or the Indominus Rexes." Tim said to them before clenching his fists. "I have to make contact with the boys and find this sonofabitch before he strikes again!"

"Woah, woah, woah! Calm down, Tim. We don't know where it is or what we're dealing with." Lexi said to her brother, trying to calm him down. "We don't even know where to start."

"She's right." Jay said in agreement. "Mortem's right hand man is a skilled assassin. He follows orders like he was a soldier."

"Did you deal with him before?" Sofia asked in concern.

Jay nodded. "Indeed, I have. When I was about maybe twelve or thirteen, he was my sparring master. And I tell you this, he doesn't hold back."

"Is he really that skilled?" Alex asked in concern.

"Oh, he is." Jay said with a nod. "No matter how I tried to take him down, he somehow predicted my every move…I don't know how he did it, but he did. He knows when his enemies will strike at him."

Sofia gulps by this. "D-Did he train others like you?" She asked nervously.

"Sí, though I don't know if they are still alive…at least."

"What?" Tim suddenly asked as he looked at him in confusion and shock.

Jay sighs as he looks at them. "I told you before that I wasn't the only one captive. There were others like me, taken from their homes and experimented against their will. Mortem made us pitted against each other."

"He what!?" Owen exclaimed in shock and horror. "He forced you guys to fight?"

"Sí, Mortem always chooses who is the strongest and the weakest. Those who win the battle are dubbed the strongest, while for those who have lost…they never came back." Jay said the last part grimly.

"Never come back? You mean they…" Lexi was cut off when Jay nodded.

"Oh, God…" Owen whispers as he slumps on the armchair while shaking his head in shock. "That's…that's just wrong."

"And if Mortem found out about Val…" Wu trailed off as he had a bad feeling in his gut.

"He will study her in the most brutal way as he did to me and the others." Jay said grimly.

"The hell he won't!" Owen exclaimed as he stood up. "There is no fucking way that asshole is going near her! After everything she's been through, that fucking bastard is not gonna lay a single finger on my niece while I'm still breathing!"

"Owen, calm down." Claire said to Owen. "We know how you feel about this, but we need to get our facts together and figure out how that man got in Wu's room."

"How did he get in your room anyway?" Sofia asked the scientist.

"Through the chute." Wu explained to them.

"He went through the linen chute?" Claire asked in surprise. "How can he do that? Your room is on the top floor."

"In my case, Mortem must've given the tech he needs to climb up here." Jay said to them.

"Wait a second. Did you say he was given tech?" Claire suddenly asked.

Jay looked at her in confusion but nodded. "Sí, Mortem always gives his men his technology whenever he sends them on a mission."

Claire was suddenly on her feet, surprising everyone including Jay. "It was him!"

"What's it?" Wu asked in confusion.

Claire looked over to Owen and said. "Remember Dahna the juvenile Dilophosaurus?" Owen nodded to that. "And remember why the security's cameras were off?"

Owen was catching up to this. "Are you saying that this spy that Mortem sent was the one who freed Dahna?"

"Yes, and I have a feeling he did that on purpose and used her to get the evidence about Val for him." Claire said about the situation.

"She's right." Jay said as he realized Claire's explanation. "And because of his skills and tech, this man was able to infiltrate Jurassic World's security as if it was nothing but child's play."

"Shit." Owen mutters in annoyance and anger. "We need to find out where this guy is before he strikes again."

"Owen, we don't know which room he went to." Wu said. "For all we know, he used the chute as his ticket way in my room and stole all my files."

"That's where you have me." Jay said, getting their attention. "All I need is a rope."

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Sofia said nervously.

Later, Jay was tying a strong rope around his waist. Tim prepares a device that will reel Jay down the chute. But not before he gives Jay a tracking device that allows them to see his location and find out which room the man came in. Claire prepares her tablet that has all the hotel's rooms, to see which is owned or not. That way, they can find out who is the one that broke into Wu's room.

"Okay, you all know the plan?" Jay asked as he was ready to be lowered.

They nodded their heads as Tim readied his device. "Alright, we're all set. Contact through this communicator." He said as he handed it to Jay.

Jay nodded. "Alright, see you guys later." He said before he gets in the chute as the rope brings him down.

Jay went lower through the chute, telling Tim through the communicator to bring him lower as he uses his nose to sniff out the scent. Claire follows Jay's signal through her tab as he was brought lower to the section. Val was awake now and didn't know what's going on. Owen, who didn't want his niece to find out, decided to make breakfast for her, with Wu's acceptance of using his kitchen. Owen decided to make Val scrambled eggs for breakfast while the others worked on getting Jay to the room that had the spy. Speaking of which, Jay sniffed through the chute until he smelled a particular scent.

"Para!" Jay said through the communicator and the rope suddenly stopped on the spot. He sniffed where the chute was and nodded. "This is it, this is the room."

"Do you smell anyone in there?" Tim said through the communicator.

Jay sniffed for a few times while listening carefully. "No, there's no one in there yet."

"Can you go in?"

"Sí." Jay answered before he opened the chute and allowed himself to come in and removed the rope off his waist. "I'm in."

"Good. We'll meet you there." Tim said as he shut down the device and turned to the group. "We're gonna check it out."

"You guys go, we'll stay here and keep an eye on Val." Alex said as she and Sofia stayed behind to watch over Val, who was eating breakfast, and headed to the floor where Jay is at. It was on the second floor and they had to use the elevator. They reached their destination and quickly went towards the room where Jay is currently. Claire was looking at her tablet as she found the room that Jay is currently.

"This room is currently...unassigned." Claire said in annoyance and shock.

"What?" The group asked in her shock before the door opened to reveal Jay.

"It's empty." Jay said with a sigh. "I searched through the room and it was untouched."

"Dammit, he knew that he might get caught if he was in his room. So, he used an empty room to get into Wu's room." Owen said in anger and annoyance.

"Are there any cameras in this section?" Mike asked Claire.

Claire looked at her tablet. "Hmm…yes, yes it does." She said before she took out her phone and dialed Lowery's number. "Lowery, I need you to send the security video of the second floor, please…don't ask why, just do it."

The group went over to Claire and looked at her tablet. They could see the video of the hotel's second floor. They watched carefully to see not much of it, but they could only see the cleaning lady coming by to clean the room next to it before leaving and there's nothing happening later that night.

"Nothing." Claire said with an annoyed sigh.

"Did he mess up with the security again?" Tim asked in anger.

"No…maybe he didn't have to mess with security." Jay suggested before going in the room again. The others followed suit and went into the empty room to see Jay looking at the ventilation shaft. He was sniffing at it carefully, as if he were checking it was right, and it was. He points on top of the air shaft.

"Here! This is where he went in without using the door." Jay said to them.

"Holy shit. He not only climbs up through the chute, but through there? Seriously, how skilled is this guy?" Owen questioned about the assassin working for Mortem.

"He has years of experience. Better than I have." Jay answers before grabbing the vent and pulls it open before dropping it as he goes inside. "Follow my tracker, I'll meet you guys when I reach the end."

As Jay disappeared, Tim saw his tracking signal moving. "Okay, let's move!" He ordered.

Everyone went out of the room, but not before Claire closed the door and put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign before heading out of the hotel. There, they followed Jay's tracking signal that led them to a back alley between a gift shop and the hotel. There were no cameras there, much to Tim and Owen's disappointment. They heard a vent open and looked up to see Jay coming out as he got off the opening, jumping off the dumpster and then to the ground.

"The scent leads me here." Jay explained to them. "He must've known that we might have tracked him and made sure that he didn't get spotted in any rooms."

"Clever bastard." Tim said with an annoyed grunt.

"Can you find his scent?" Mike asked Jay. "I mean, it leads you here."

"I could try, but it will be difficult considering there are many scents in the air." Jay said to the group.

"Well, we better figure it out soon and fast." Tim said seriously.

They nodded as they all headed back to Wu's private room. There, they saw Alex and Sofia making coffee for the group when they returned while Val was coloring on the table happily. When they came in, Alex and Sofia asked them if they found the guy as they handed them their coffee. But sadly, they didn't get any leads about this guy. They only have his scent, and they will investigate at night.

"So far, we have no leads on this man." Tim said in frustration as he sipped his coffee.

Jay sighs and nods. "Yes, he must've thought that if someone was tracking him, he had to move. After all, this assassin made his way here without being spotted."

"Who cares? All we need to do is find that guy before he strikes again!" Tim suddenly exclaimed, banging his fist on the table, accidentally spilling coffee on Owen's watch.

"Ah, shit!" Owen exclaimed with a hiss as he felt the hot coffee.

"Tim!" Lexi exclaimed as she quickly grabbed a towel and wiped the coffee.

"Sorry!" Tim apologized quickly as Owen took the towel and wiped the coffee off his watch and wrist.

"It's ok! It's ok! I just need to…the hell?" Owen suddenly noticed his watch was making weird sounds as he removed the towel to see the watch's arms moving about in a circle before stopping at twelve. It made a clicking sound before the screen opened itself and something came out of it. This caught everyone's attention as they saw a hidden compartment from the watch and inside that hidden compartment was a USB. Owen took out the USB, causing the watch to close on its own while he and the others looked on in confusion.

"A USB?" Sofia asked in confusion.

"Did you know you have it?" Alex asked Owen.

Owen shook his head. "I…I didn't know I had it either. The watch was given to me by Val's mom, Alma, as my birthday present. She even had it carved on the back that says: Happy Birthday, Owen."

"Aw, that's sweet." Sofia said kindly.

"Yeah…but why was there a USB in here?" Owen mutters out in confusion.

"We can find out by looking at what's in it." Mike suggested.

Owen looked at Wu. "Wu, we should go to your private lab instead of here." He suggested.

Wu nodded. "Agreed."

At Wu's private lab, the gang were huddled at the monitor screen while Val was doing a coloring book at the corner while wearing headphones as she listened to music. That way, she wouldn't hear what's going on.

But maybe it was for the best because they aren't sure what they are dealing with right now. Wu turns type on his monitor before Owen hands him the USB. Wu puts the USB in his monitor, allowing the file inside to load. Few seconds later, a screen opens to reveal a woman with long brown hair and eyes, tan skin, and wearing a scientific looking outfit. And in the background is what appears to be a hidden laboratory.

"Alma?" Owen whispers in shock.

"Wait, that's Val's mom?" Alex whispered back with the same shock.

"Yeah…but what is she doing there?" Owen mutters out in confusion.

"Owen, if you found this video, it indicates that either I or Oscar have...fallen. And you have become Val's guardian. I have been keeping a secret from you, my husband, and my daughter." Alma spoke through the screen of the video sadly, and everyone was listening to her carefully. "Truth be told, I am not who you think I am. I am actually a scientist that goes by the name Almalya Roxane. It has never been Alma Raelynn."

"What?" Wu said in shock.

"No way." Mike said with wide eyes as the others listened carefully.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but I need to warn you. I should've told you and Oscar sooner…and I have regretted it for not telling it to both of you. Before I met Oscar, I created a serum called Project Alpha. It was meant to change the world. To cure rare illnesses and diseases, but also giving them enhanced abilities, superpowers if you will."

"It's her." Jay whispered in wide eyes. "That's the woman that Mortem was after. The one who made the serum that Mortem wanted!"

"What?" Sofia asked in shock.

"Her?" Alex added by pointing at the screen.

"Sí! It's here, she's the one who made the serum!" Jay almost exclaimed.

"No…no, it can't be." Owen whispered, praying that it wasn't true. But the video of her confession proves it all.

"I know this can be stressful and dangerous, but there's something you should know. I had a former colleague, partner if you will..." Alma shuts her eyes with regret as she sighs in frustration. "His name is Renaldo Mortem. A dangerous man that wants power."

"Oh, God." Lexi whispered as she covered her mouth while Tim focused on the screen.

"He wanted to use my serum in something else, something more...dangerous. I know you are aware of Renaldo Mortem's reputation, a criminal that runs a horrible organization called Serpenti Neri. But he wasn't always a crime lord, he was once a good friend until one of his experiments…changed him. He saw something in his life's work that he believes humanity was a weak race that needed to be changed. He wanted the whole world to change into a new race. A race of humans with superpowers."

"Mega-humans." Owen answered as he watched the video.

"Holy shit." Tim mutters out in complete shock.

"My fear grew worse when he discovered my creation of Project Alpha, he wanted to use it on a bomb that he can use to spread throughout the world, that he called 'A Global Evolution'. I tried to warn him of the consequences. If the bomb sets off, Project Alpha will be scattered, and we don't know who will survive the explosion. But Mortem said that only those who survive, are the ones that should live on Earth."

"WHAT?!" They all exclaimed in shock and horror. Luckily, Val didn't hear them because the music was so loud that she couldn't hear anyone.

Owen was more shocked than anyone. He stared at the screen with wide and shock filled eyes as Alma said that. Mortem was even crazier than he is today! First, he hunted his sister-in-law for her serum called Project Alpha and then was going to bomb the whole planet?! What was wrong with that guy!? The others seem to have the same thought as well because bombing the whole planet can lead to catastrophic damages.

"I fled my home country and moved to America with a false name. I married your brother to become an American citizen. Within this file, all my work and data are in here. I know it is a lot to take in, but you're the only one I can trust with my work...and my daughter." Alma said with tears almost falling from her eyes. "I…I am so-so sorry, Owen. I shouldn't get you or Val involved in such danger, I just thought I could help humanity change…to make a better world."

"Alma…" Owen spoke softly towards the screen as his sister-in-law began to cry.

"I didn't know that Mortem would've dark intention in using my work as a weapon of destruction. You need to keep Val safe and protect her from the threat that is coming." Alma looked at the screen with tears falling from her eyes. "You have to know that I transfer Project Alpha to a host that can carry it and keep it safe…"

"A host?" Owen said with dread and worried.

"I don't like the sound of this." Claire said with worry in her tone.

"It's the only way to keep the serum from falling into the wrong hands…I had no other choice…but to put Project Alpha…into Val."

"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed in shock and horror.

"I know it sounds…barbaric. But it was the only way to keep it out of Mortem's reach. Val was the only one that can accept the serum. It became her host, allowing Val to give anyone powers. And if Val has experienced any changes, just look through my files, they can help you to sustain Val's power, and help her control it. That is all I could say to you right now. Tell Val I love her and hopefully…you can keep her safe from Mortem's grasp."

"Wait, Alma!" Owen exclaimed through the screen.

"Goodbye."

With that, the video ended, leaving a stunned and worried group. They couldn't believe what they just heard. They never thought Alma, Owen's sister-in-law, was actually a secret scientist that was trying to make the world a better place, but instead, Mortem wanted to use her creation as a weapon of destruction and power.

"My God…" Tim mutters out. "She…she was trying to help people."

"And was being hunted by a madman for her creation." Lexi added with pity.

Sofia looked at Owen with concern. "Are you going to tell Val about this?"

"Tell me what?"

"AH!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise to see Val standing behind them with the headphone on her neck.

"…"

"…"

"…What are you going to tell me?" Val asked them curiously, wondering what they were talking about.

The group looked at each other with concern and worry, not sure if they should tell her or not. However, it was best for him to know since there's incoming danger. Owen sighs and gets on his knees to level Val's height.

"Sweet Pea, I'll see you later after we figure out the situation, okay?" Owen said to his niece.

"…Okay." Val said innocently as Owen picked her up.

"We should probably go back to work; we don't want anyone else to worry." Alex said to the group.

They agreed to go to their working station while Tim stayed here and helped Wu with Alma's files. So, they can learn about Alma's files and data that she sent to Owen. Speaking of Owen, the Ex-Navy took Val and Jay to the raptor paddock. Owen stood from the rafter while Jay took Val towards the raptor's muzzle restraints, allowing the little girl to pet the raptors, much to their enjoyment. Owen sighs as he leans over the rafters with a worried look in his eyes. He just found out that his sister-in-law was a scientist that was trying to change the world into a better place. But was on the run due to that…that psychotic man that wished to cause destruction on the entire planet.

"Owen? You okay, man?"

Owen turns around to see Barry coming over to him. Barry's been a good friend to Owen. Helping him out whenever he could. Owen trusts that man with his life. They are like brothers-in-arms, always having each other's back.

"Y-Yeah, just a lot of things in my mind right now." Owen said truthfully.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Barry his friend with concern.

"It's nothing really." Owen said, trying his best not to get his friend involved.

"Come on, Owen. I'm your friend."

Owen was about to speak but stopped and thought. He knows about the situation with Mortem and it could endanger him. Val is already endangered after they found out that she carries a special serum that could change humanity. But a part of him doesn't want to leave in the dark of not knowing the situation, and decided that it was best that he should know as well.

"I…I'll tell you later at my house, drinks are on me." Owen answered Barry.

Barry gave his friend a confused yet worried look. "Is it the child services? Did they contact you again?"

"What? No, no, it's something else…but promise that you won't freak out." Owen begged.

Barry looked at him confused. "What do you mean by-"

***Later***

"HOLY SHIT!" Barry exclaimed.

Barry was the Grady's resident. He was outside of the porch with Owen and Jay while Val was watching TV. Owen asked Jay a little favor in revealing himself to Barry. That way, Owen' best friend wouldn't be left out in the dark. And when Jay revealed his eyes…Barry freaked out and he forgot his promise to not freak out.

"I told you not to freak out." Owen said to Barry.

Barry looked at Owen as if he grew another head. "'Not to freak out'? Owen! His eyes! They look like raptor eyes!"

"We know, Barry." Owen sighs a bit and shakes his head while Jay puts on his sunglasses. "And that is why you need to hear this."

Barry stared at him in confusion before Owen began telling Barry everything. He told Barry about Mortem, Jay being an experiment, and his sister-in-law was actually a scientist in hiding. Also, he added the fact that his niece is carrying a powerful serum within her that could give people superpowers. After his explanation, Barry stared at him with a dumbfounded expression.

"…Your sister-in-law? Is a scientist?" Barry asked carefully.

"…Yeah."

"And she placed a serum that can help or destroy humanity onto your niece?"

"Eeyup…" Owen answered awkwardly before looking at his friend. "You're okay with this?"

"Okay?! Owen, your niece is in danger from a madman! How can this be okay?" Barry exclaimed.

"Well, I thought you wouldn't believe me." Owen said.

"Because I know how you lie or not." Barry said with a sigh. "Owen, after learning about…this. I now know your reason and I want to help."

"Barry." Owen said, feeling touched by his friend's words. "I didn't want you to get involved in this."

"Owen." Barry spoke seriously. "I want to help you stop this madman from harming anyone else."

Owen couldn't help but smile at his friend's help. "Thanks, Barry. I know I can count on you."

"Yeah, since you always get into trouble." Barry added with a smirk.

Owen gave Barry a playful and offended look. "Oh, not this again. I told you before, none of those incidents were caused by me nor the girls."

"You let Charlie eat five over-cream, sugar donuts."

"She was giving me the eyes when she was young, you know that!"

As the two males' bicker about, Jay shook his head at them while muttering 'Aye, yai, yai', finding it childish for two grown men to argue like that. But it seems that it will help Owen to relax from the upcoming threat. And besides, the more help the merrier.

Later, Owen and Jay took Barry to Wu's secret lab. There, they meet up with the others. They were surprised to see Barry here. Owen gives them a rundown as he reasons them to let Barry help them out in searching for Mortem. After all, Barry's a guy they could trust. They were skeptical at first, but nevertheless, they needed more help that they could get. Wu shows Barry the information about Val's power.

Owen, meanwhile, was setting Val down on the chair on the other side of the room. He needed to talk to Val in private. Val was looking about as her uncle was looking at her worriedly. Val was wondering if she was in trouble. I mean, she only feeds only one Gallimimus with her cookie…okay, make that twelve Gallimimus. But they didn't get sick.

"Val…we need to talk." Owen said to her.

"Is it because I fed cookies to a Gallimimus?"

"No…we'll talk about that later." He muttered that part before placing a hand on his niece's shoulder. "I'm going to tell you something very important and I need you to listen, okay?"

Val nodded her head in understanding, wanting to know what's going on.

Owen releases a sigh and begins the explanation. "Remember that your mommy was a doctor?" He asked, earning a nod from Val. "Well, Val, your mommy is not just a doctor, but a scientist."

"Scientist? Like Dr. Wu?" Val asked her uncle.

"Kind of…she…she made something that was meant to help humanity…but someone bad wanted it."

"Is it the man named Renaldo Mortem?" Val suddenly asked him.

Owen looked at her in surprise. "How'd you know that?"

"I only heard a little when you were talking with them this morning." Val answered.

"Since when did you eavesdrop?" Owen asked jokingly, making Val giggle, but then he became worried again. "So, yeah, this Mortem fellow wanted something from your mom, but your mom wanted to keep it safe. She…she placed it somewhere safe that no one can get to it."

"…Where did she put it?" Val asked curiously.

Owen was quiet at first, not sure if he should say it, but he needed to tell her before something bad would happen. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "She put it in you."

"…Me?" Val whispers in confusion and somewhat fear.

Owen nodded and then hugged her. "I know it's scary, but I promise her that'll keep you safe, no matter, alright? Uncle Owen is always here for you." He vowed as he let go of the hug.

"Promise?" Val asked him with innocent eyes.

Owen nodded. "Promise."

"Pinky Swear?" Val held out her pinky.

Owen smiled and held her pinky with him. "Pinky Swear."

Val smiled and hugged her uncle, who returned the hug. But they broke the hug when Mike came into the room in a hurry. "Owen, you gotta see this!" He almost exclaimed.

Owen picks up Val and carries her back to the others, who appeared to be huddling over the computer that Wu was using. "What is it?"

"Wu found something within Alma's files." Jay answered as Wu showed them a picture of Alma, that appears to be her teens, along with an elderly man. They both were wearing lab coats and were standing behind a laboratory. "We know someone that can help us."

"Who is that?" Owen asked in confusion.

"His name is Carlos Delarosa." Tim answered as he looked at the screen. "Apparently, Val's mom had a teacher. He was the one who helped Alma make the serum."

"Oh, my God. What else do we know about this Carlos dude?" Owen asked them, hoping they could figure it out.

Sofia bits her lips. "Weeellll, here's the thing we…"

Jay cuts her off by answering. "We don't know where he is."

"…yeahhh, Jay's right, we have no idea where he is." Sofia answered truthfully.

Owen groans in annoyance before Val notices the picture. "Hey, it's Mr. Dale."

All eyes were focused on her in surprise. "Who?" Owen asked his niece.

"It's Mr. Carl Dale. He's a friend of my mommy's. He comes to my house to check on me." Val said to them.

"Why is his name Carl Dale?" Alex asked in confusion.

"That's what mommy calls him." Val answered.

"Maybe that's his disguised name. Like how Val's mom did to hers." Jay suggested.

"Good point." Tim agrees with Jay's suggestion.

"Does your mommy contact him?" Alex asked the little girl.

Val nodded her head. "Uh-huh, mommy contacts him on her phone."

"Do you have it? Her phone I mean." Tim suddenly asked.

Val shook her head. "No, sorry."

"It's okay, Val. We'll think of something." Owen said.

"Or maybe not." Mike said as he looked over the screen. "Remember what Alma said, all the information is in there. Maybe we can find out more about this Carlos or Carl person here."

Wu moved aside and allowed Mike to take the search. "Be my guess."

Mike took over and typed through the computer. There, another file appeared to reveal codes. "What is that?" Lexi asked.

"It's a type of computer coding. And in this coding…it makes a private message." Mike reads out the code.

"Really?" Alex questioned it curiously.

Mike nodded. "Yeah, and I have a hunch that Alma uses it to contact her mentor in private." He said.

"Can you try and use it?" Wu asked.

"Yeah, it's not that hard. I've done coding before." Mike said before typing in the code. In doing so, a video screen opened, contacting someone that they are not aware of.

"What's going on?" Jay asked.

"The code, I think…I think it automatically contacts someone when written." Mike said before someone answered the call.

On the screen was an old man with brown eyes, grey hair, and wrinkly skin. He wears a light brown sweater with a white polo underneath it. The old man adjusted his glasses before he became surprised to see strangers in front of the screen.

"Who are you people?" The old man suddenly asked, afraid who they were.

"Sir, we mean no harm." Tim said, trying to calm the old man.

"I don't know who you people are, but I think you have the wrong-"

"Mr. Dale?" Val suddenly spoke.

The old man looked at Val in surprise. "Val? What are you doing with these people?"

"They're my Uncle Owen's friends. They want to help me." She said to Carl.

"Help you? Val, where is your mother?"

"Look, Mr. Dale, I don't think you know this but…Val's mom…died in a car crash a few months ago." Owen answered, earning a gasp from the old man. "And I know about Alma's work and her serum. She thinks you might help us with Val and stop a madman."

"Madman?" Carl asked in shock. "It can't be…did he-"

"Find out? Apparently so since he had sent an assassin to steal important files about her from Dr. Wu." Jay answered.

"Oh, no." Carl muttered fearfully. "If he gets Val, who knows what destruction he will cause."

"We know." Tim said to him. "And we believe that you know more about Mortem than any of us."

Carl sighs and nodded his head sadly. "Yes, yes I do."

"Do you know him?" Sofia asked Carl.

"Yes, he was my former apprentice along with Alma. He was a bright man until…until he changed…Where are you people?"

"What?" They all asked in unison.

"I need to go there and help you with the situation." Carl said through the screen.

"We're at Jurassic World, Mr. Dale." Val answered to the elderly man.

"Good, I will meet you all tomorrow afternoon."

"Woah, hold on there." Owen said, putting Val down and looking at Carl. "Why in such a hurry, we can talk through here."

"You don't understand, I need to be there to help you face the danger you are dealing with." Carl said to them. "I can help you find a way to stop him and explain more about Val's gift."

"Um…okay. But why come here?" Claire suddenly asked.

"Because if I don't come there and help you personally, Mortem will stop at nothing to get Val." Carl said to them seriously.

Meanwhile, somewhere else, Marco was in his hotel room, typing on his laptop. He was sending important files to his Boss about his recent discovery of a little girl, revealing her gift. He stole this information from Dr. Henry Wu's room, but not before he made the scientist go unconscious, and steal all the files that Wu had in his laptop, including his hybrids. This will please Mortem into giving him the antidote for his daughter. His sweet little girl. She didn't deserve to suffer. Marco releases a sigh as he sends the data to Mortem. Within minutes, he receives a call from his Boss, Marco answers it as a screen to reveal Mortem was seen.

"You did well, Marco." Mortem began with a smirk. "This information you send to me will make great work for my next batch of hybrids."

"I'm glad to hear." Marco said dully through the screen. "I have located the child's home. I will send you the location for your team to find."

"Excellent, Marco. You have done well on your part." Mortem said with a grin. "And just a matter of moments, you will get to see your daughter walking again."

"Just make sure you ready the antidote when I arrive." Marco said to Mortem in a hint of anger.

"Watch your tongue, Kingbird." Mortem said, using Marco's last name, as he gave the man a warning glare. "Don't forget, one wrong move, your daughter will have a painful death."

Marco clenched his jaw tightly along with his fists. He knew not to provoke this man, for he has the item he needs to save his daughter. So, with a heavy sigh, Marco gave Mortem a firm nod, indicating that he understood his warning.

"My apologies, Sir." Marco said in a deep tone.

Satisfied by this, Mortem gave his nod of gesture. "Good. In a few days, the extraction team will arrive to collect the girl and rendezvous at Isla Sorna."

Marco was surprised by this information. "Why at Isla Sorna, Sir? I thought the rendezvous was at the abandoned beach in the restricted area of Nublar."

"There's been a change of plan, Marco. You remember Experiment 125, correct?"

"Yes, it was dubbed the Mortiferous Raptor, why? Did it escape?" Marco said with seriousness.

"It did, but I sent search teams to find it in different continents. Luckily, squadron 5 were able to find it at Isla Sorna, until they met with a…terrible demise by it."

"In short, it killed them when it recognized they were yours." Marco answered dully, earning a dark laugh from Mortem.

"True, but they were able to send the last signal of the Mortiferous Raptor's whereabouts. I want you and the team to search it, and I want it and the child alive, understood?"

"Understood, Sir." Marco replied darkly.

"One more thing, Marco." Mortem said, getting Marco's attention. "I will send two of my hybrids to track the Experiment 125."

Marco narrows his eyes suspiciously. "Are you referring to Experiment 126 and 127 aka the Indominus Spinos?"

Mortem smirked at the screen. "That is correct, Marco. You are cunning with your mind and skills as an assassin. I will contact you soon with the extraction team. Be sure to be ready. And if you ever get spotted by anyone, make sure to leave no witnesses."

"...Yes, Mortem."
