Owen was sitting on the torn couch of his messed-up living room. His hands were clutching his hair as his mind was jumbled with emotions. Fear, anger, sadness, and pain, all mixed together because his little niece was taken from him, right under his nose. In the room with him were the gang along with security, Hoskins, and Masrani. They came as soon as they heard about Owen's home being attacked by a pack of Troodons. They were taken into the lab while Owen was being questioned by Hoskins, typical. You see, after Owen and Jay came back, the security team, Hoskins, and Masrani were shocked to see Jay's raptor eyes. Masrani was going to ask Owen what's going on until Hoskins butts in as usual and demands to know what the hell is going on. Owen didn't want to answer him, all he wanted was to get his niece before it's too late.
"Grady, get your head in the game and explain what the hell just happened here and why does Archer here have those eyes?" Hoskins demanded, wanting to know what's going on.
Owen glared at him. "I don't have time for your dumbass questions, Hoskins. I have to go and get my niece."
"Well, maybe your niece ran off by your st-" Hoskins was cut off when Owen gave Hoskins a sucker punch right across the face. It was so hard that Hoskins almost fell to the floor.
"Owen!" Barry exclaimed as he and Jay held down Owen, preventing him from doing anything rash.
"Try to say that again about my niece, you sonofabitch!" Owen exclaimed in anger.
Hoskins slowly got up, rubbing his jaw to ease the pain, while the rest looked at Owen's action in shock. They have never seen Owen so violent before. Mike, on the other hand, was at the corner and sketching on a paper.
"Owen, calm down!" Tim said to the man. "We'll get Val back no matter what. But they have to know or else we'll lose Val."
"Know what exactly?" Katashi Hamada asked.
"To know about Renaldo Mortem." Came Carl's voice.
They look up the doorway to see Carl and Wu. The two scientists were at the lab, searching through Alma's notes, before they got a call from Claire about Val being taken. Carl was horrified by this and had Wu drive him to the house. He knew that his former apprentice would one day have the upper advantage. He fears that he would abuse Project Alpha and use it for his own personal gain, not caring who the people he will hurt, as long as he gets what he wants.
"Who the hell is this old-timer?" Hoskins asked rudely. "And how the hell does he know about Renaldo Mortem?"
"I was his former teacher." Carl said straightly, earning wide eyes from the group, "And I regretted ever teaching that madman."
"You…you were…his…teacher?" Masrani asked with hesitation.
"Indeed, I was, but I never knew the consequences upon my teaching him." Carl said with guilt in his voice before looking at them all seriously. "If you want to know the reason why he is after the young child, very well. But I prefer we capture the perpetrator in your park."
"What?" Masrani asked in confusion.
"The one that worked for Mortem." Jay began, getting everyone's attention, though they were still a little freaked out by his eyes. "He was assigned to track Val and probably orchestrated a team to get her."
"And how the hell do you know this?" Hoskins asked suspiciously towards Jay. "Maybe you're actually working for that mad-ACK!?" Hoskins suddenly choked when Jay grabbed him by the neck.
Jay glared at him as he lifted Hoskins up, his sharp nails were covered by the thick glove, as he glared at a choking Hoskins followed by a threatening growl. "That madman took me from mi familia, cut me off my childhood, torturing me to become his super soldier experiment. I suffered for many years because of him, so shut up before I rip your tongue off."
And with that, Jay dropped Hoskins on the floor. The man started coughing as he gasped for air. The others were shocked by this and some had their tranquilizer guns raised at him. But it would be useless considering Jay had a tough skin. They soon lowered their weapons by Claire. Masrani then cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
"Alright…" He began as he looked at Jay and then to Owen with a serious expression. "What's the plan?"
"The plan is to find the spy." Tim said to Masrani. "If we find him, we can find Val faster."
"How are we going to do that? We don't know what this guy even looks like." Hoskins said, getting up will rub his throat.
That's when Mike steps in with a sketch at hand. "That's because we know what he looks like now." He said as he showed him the sketch. "This is the man that Mortem sent to spy on us. I encountered him when I was at the park, but I didn't know it was actually him until Jay found out about his scent."
They all looked at the sketch and were impressed by Mike's drawing skills. Claire took out her phone and snapped a picture of it before sending it to Lowery. "Lowery, it's Claire. Search through Jurassic World security and find out about the man in the picture I sent you."
As Claire instructed Lowery through the phone, Masrani looked over to Carl with a questionable look. "Care to explain to me the reason why this madman is after Val? I need to know because I have a feeling she is very special."
Carl nodded. "Indeed, she carries a special gene in her blood that can give people special abilities."
"What kind of abilities?" Hoskins asked with interest.
"That information is classified for people who wish to abuse it." Carl said to him with a dead serious tone, making Hoskins glare at him. The old scientist looked over to Masrani and said calmly. "I will tell you the reason why, Mr. Masrani. To shed some light for you."
Masrani nodded. "Very well."
Carl led Masrani to the kitchen where they can talk privately, leaving an annoyed Hoskins. Claire went over to Owen and Tim and spoke. "Lowery and Vivian are searching through the security about the mysterious man that Mike saw."
"And?" Tim asked Claire, almost demandingly.
"They'll explain." Claire said as she activated her speaker on her phone. "Tell them, Lowery."
"We found his room in the hotel," Lowery explained through the phone. "We're now searching his name and any info about him."
"Anything else?" Owen asked demandingly.
"Yeah, he'll be leaving Jurassic World tomorrow morning." Vivian was the one to answer.
"We have to get him before he leaves this place." Owen said to them. "What room is he in?"
"Room 207." Vivian answered. "He just entered his room, and I don't think he came out yet."
"We have to catch him." Owens said in a determined tone. "He knows where my niece is and put a stop of Mortem's plan."
"We will, but first, we need to capture this guy and place him in a holding cell." Tim said.
"We should send Jay. He knows how to deal with him." Mike suggested the idea.
"Indeed, after all, he did train me. And I know his moves." Jay stated.
"My men will be here early in the morning. We have to keep a close eye on this guy before he makes a move." Tim said to them.
"Security will keep watch on this guy. Hopefully, he doesn't leave yet." Lexi said in a worried tone.
As they were discussing the plan, they had no idea that Hoskins had other plans. You see, he always wanted to weaponize the dinosaurs, especially the raptors. But hearing about Mortem gave him a bigger idea. If they use the raptors in tracking that guy, this will give a great opportunity for him and the boys. Sneaking off, Hoskins went outside and took out his cellphone. He dials a certain number and waits for the call to answer. He hears it ringing at the other end for a few seconds before someone answers him.
"Hey…yeah, it's me. We might have an opportunity here." Hoskins said with a grin.
Val was riding on this strange hybrid's back as it took her to an island. It wasn't life in Jurassic World, but it was closely resembling it. There were many different types of plants and fauna. Val did remember from her uncle that this was the second island called Isla Sorna. She remembered that this island was meant to be a research facility, but it didn't work out too well. Val then realizes that maybe she can call her uncle here. I mean, it was a facility and maybe it has a phone she can use. Although, she was curious about the hybrid before her. Val knew that it was a female but is not familiar with her species.
"Do you have a name?" Val asked the hybrid.
The hybrid stopped on her tracks and looked at Val with a tilted head. As if she understood the young girl. She made a small series of growls and grunts, explaining to Val what she was and where she came from. It surprised Val that this hybrid which she is called the Mortiferous Raptor was created by Mortem to be used as a bioweapon aka a Hybrid Dinosaur Super Soldier. She also had a name that she doesn't like called Experiment 125. Mortem always favored her since she was more deadly than his other experiments.
"Your creator is mean." Val said to the Mortiferous Raptor, earning a nod from the hybrid in the process, "Do you want a new name?"
The Mortiferous Raptor tilted her head again in curiosity. A new name…that sounds nice. She hoped it's better than Experiment 125. She wanted a new name that suits her. With a nod, the Mortiferous Raptor agreed for Val to name her. Val smiles as she thinks of a name for the Mortiferous Raptor. She thinks carefully before her eyes drift onto the hybrid's scales. It was white as snow back when she was in Wisconsin. She and her parents would play in the snow, build a snowman or go sledding. It was a fun time together. And that's when Val got an idea for the Mortiferous Raptor's new name.
"Snow…your name is Snow." Val said with a smile. The Mortiferous Raptor tilted her head while chittering as she was questioning the name that Val had given her. "Snow. You know, it's like a white fluffy cloud but it's cold…I guess you never heard of it before." This earned a head shake from Mortiferous Raptor. "But it's also pretty, like you."
The Mortiferous Raptor now named Snow liked the name. It suits her well. Val giggled when Snow gave her a gentle nuzzle, making Val happy and safe. They continued their journey through the night of the jungle before they entered what appears to be a cave made from plants. Val watched as Snow let out a series of barks and hissed at the cave. Val squinted her eyes and saw four figures coming out of the cave. And to her surprise, there were four male Velociraptors. One was bigger than the four, he had a red line marking on the back of his head and down to his tail and dark brown scales. Next to him was another raptor about the same size as the red one but a bit shorter, he had brown copper scales and many scars on his body. On the left side of the red one was another male about the same size as the scar one. His talons were much sharper and slightly bigger, his scales were light brown with green on the tip of his tail. The last one has chocolate brown scales and red dots on his legs.
Val tilted her head and the male raptors followed her with a curious look on their faces. Snow lowered herself and allowed Val to slide off her back. She gets up and nudges the little girl forward to the male raptors, who were busy looking at her curiously.
"Are they your pack?" Val asked Snow, which earned a nod from the hybrid.
When Snow escaped from Mortem's island, she swam all the way here and stayed hidden. She encountered the four raptors after their pack was wiped out by a T. Rex. Luckily, Snow saved them and became their new alpha. She led them to every hunt and kept them safe. The youngest raptor was looking at Val curiously. He had never seen such a small and frail human before. Val blinks at him before he gently snorts at her face, making her giggle as she withdraws from him. She then proceeded by gently touching his snout, making him purr in the process. The other male raptors came to Val as they observed the little human. Val looks at the males curiously. They were very fascinated to look upon. She then lifted a single finger and pointed at each raptor to the oldest and to the youngest.
"Your name is Red, yours is Scar, you are Talon, and your name is Uri!" Val said with a smile on her face.
The now named raptors chittered among themselves, curious upon their new names. Snow made a shriek, indicating that it was time to rest. The raptors obeyed and went into the cave while Snow guided Val inside. Once they were in, they all settled to their spot to sleep. Snow curls around Val, giving her warmth after their cold escape. Val yawns as she is getting sleepy. She rubbed her eyes as she lay down beside Snow, who wrapped her tail around Val, keeping her warm for the night.
Lowery and Vivian were searching through the files for this man. So far, they found no leads about him. They only got his image and room number, but his information was scarce. As if he doesn't exist. Lowery sighs in annoyance as he looks at the screen before turning to Vivian.
"How's your search for the mysterious guest?" Lowery asked her.
"Nothing, we only know his name is Michel Kessler and when I search for Michel Kessler, he doesn't exist in the files except that he was born in Virginia as a shopkeeper. That's it!" She said as she gestured to her screen in frustration.
"Damn…this is like finding a needle in a haystack." Lowery mutters out as he looks at the man on the screen. Then he made a face of suspicion as he rubbed his chin. "Hmmm…"
Vivian looked at him as Lowery made the face of an idea. "What are you thinking Lowery?"
"It's just a hunch but maybe, just maybe, that Michel Kessler is not his real name." Lowery suggested.
"What?" Vivian asked in confusion.
"Hear me out. What if that since there's not much info about him, maybe he has another name." Lowery said before typing something through the computer.
Vivian watched him with concern and confusion. "Lowery, what are you doing?"
"I'm searching…for another…way." Lowery said while typing. He was hacking through files and since he's a computer genius, he easily got the info he needed. "Bingo!"
Vivian heard this and went over to him. "What did you find?" She asked curiously.
"It appears that Michel Kessler is actually Marco Kingbird." Lowery corrected with a grin. "And they say hacking was a bad idea."
Before Lowery and Vivian could do anything, the elevator doors opened to reveal Hoskins and a group of people that they were not familiar with.
"Hey! You guys can't just be walking up in-" The security guard was cut off when
"Listen up! There's been a kidnapping at the Grady's residence." Hoskins began while the people that he came with were taking over. "There's a new mission, capture the perpetrator on this island."
"Who are these guys?" Lowery asked in shock as he instantly sent the files of Marco Kingbird in his computer before deleting it.
"I'm glad you asked. You're all relieved of duty. There's a new team on the ground." Hosking said to them pridefully.
"Wait, what new team?" Vivian dared to ask.
The new team that Hoskins refers to are InGen soldiers. They were currently in helicopters, flying towards the island in the late night. They came as soon as they heard about Mortem's involvement . They believe this is an opportunity for them. With their advanced tech and skills, they will be able to capture the perpetrator and Mortem. InGen would get a good reputation by this and they'll be helping the government by taking down the number one threat on the planet.
As Hoskins's team set up, Lowery quickly moved out of the way before going to the corner to call Claire, fast. "Come on, Claire. Pick up!"
Meanwhile, back at Owen's house, the ACU team were dragging the dead Troodons into a truck while Wu and Carl studied the dead body of a Troodon as they noticed the tech was not only in its head but connected to its brain. Tim and Owen were discussing the plan with the others in capturing the spy. They didn't know what happened to Hoskins since he left after the ACU were placing the Troodons on the truck.
"It seems my former student was able to create a device that controls his creations against their will." Carl explained grimly.
"I never knew such a man had such dark ambition." Wu mutters as they observe the device.
"We can discuss this after we head back to the-" Claire was cut off when her phone rang. She quickly answered it after reading out who was calling her. "Lowery, I'm on my way to the Control Center."
"Yeah, here's the thing." Lowery said to the other line. "We have a serious problem and you guys have to hear."
"What problem?" Claire said before she activates her speakerphone for everyone to hear.
"InGen's private security division is here and this guy, Hoskins, is in charge. He has this insane plan to use the raptors to capture the guy that you guys are looking for." Lowery explained to them.
"What does he mean 'use the raptors'?" Sofia dared to ask.
Hearing this made Owen's blood boil. Now he knows why Hoskins left so soon. He was getting to his raptors. "That son of a bitch!" He exclaimed in rage.
"So, that's why he left so suddenly." Tim said in anger and annoyance.
"Everyone, get in the jeep!" Owen ordered as he pointed at his jeep.
"I don't think we can all fit in your jeep." Alex pointed out to the man.
"Fine, Claire, Mike, Jay, Barry, you're with me. Alex, Sofia, Lexi, you go with Tim while Carl goes with Wu. Now, let's go before Hoskins destroys the park." Owen planned out as he went out and to his jeep.
"I have never seen him so angry before." Mike whispers to Barry as he hands Jay his shades.
"Believe me, Owen can be angry when provoked." Barry said as they got on the jeep with the boys and Claire before Owen drove off to the control room at high speed. They all reached the Control Center. Owen was furious by this as he marched out of the elevator to the Control Center. There, Hoskins was instructing the people on what to do. Then he spotted the group coming into the room. He grins over to Owen.
"Well, if isn't the man of the hour! Glad you could make it."
Without a word, Owen punches Hoskins again. The others winced at the sight while Hoskins got up by Owen's strong blow. "What the hell, Hoskins?!" Owen exclaimed to the man. "Are you trying to make things harder for us!?"
"Actually, it's the opposite, Grady." Hoskins said, rubbing his jaw. "This is an InGen situation now."
"Since when?!" Claire exclaimed. "Hoskins, we already have a plan!"
"It's taking too long. It's time for the big boys to do their part." Hoskins said to her with a glare. "I already sent the boys to go flush him out of the hotel room."
Jay glared at him under his shades. "You have no idea who you're dealing with, Hoskins."
"Oh, I know, a spy of Renaldo Mortem and he's gonna face the big boys and the raptors will help us out." Hoskins said with a grin.
"And how are the raptors gonna work?!" Claire exclaimed in anger. "You can't just bring them here!?"
"No, but they could track him to the jungle if he escaped for us." Hoskins said before looking at the screen. They followed his gaze and were shocked to see the hotel lobby. Figuring out that Hoskins' men have body cam to record their actions while searching through the halls of the perpetrator's room. Jay glared at Hoskins under his shades.
"Are you insane?! You're putting your men at risk!" Jay yelled at Hoskins.
"Please, there's five of them and just him." Hoskins informed him with a challenge.
"You're a fool, Hoskins. You may think he is outnumbered, but he is trained beyond your expectation." Jay warned him with a glare.
"What do you mean?" Sofia asked in concern.
"There is a reason why Mortem sent him." Jay said as he looked at the screen, seeing the men were knocking on the door, before clenching his fist.
The InGen soldiers kicked the door open and searched the room with guns raised. Unaware a small cylinder object was hidden under the sofa as it blinked a red light.
"He is Mortem's second in command and assassin."
Soon, the cylinder opens to release a white gas, covering the whole room, blinding the soldiers in the process. The InGen soldiers were startled as they tried to find the mysterious man. However, they had no idea that this man had planned the whole thing. One of the InGen soldiers was blindly searching through the white smoke. He couldn't find where the man was. He was going to use his night-vision goggles when suddenly something hit him from the back of his head. The force was so hard that he fell into unconsciousness. The others heard a loud THUD! close by as they pointed their guns in different directions. They tried to search for the man, but the spy grabbed the fallen soldier's rifle before sneaking to the soldiers from behind.
And then, trouble began.
The spy sneak-attacks the soldiers. One by one, each of them fell. He used the end of the rifle to knock down two men. He then swings it like a bat to knock another soldier from the side, sending him crashing to the coffee table, breaking it. The last one yelled as he started firing his gun through the smoke, breaking every item and furniture. It was a stupid move as he destroyed Jurassic World property. But he also failed to notice the spy was right behind him and knocked him down with the end of the rifle, knocking him out cold.
As it turns out, the spy was wearing a gasmask that has a built-in sensor. As the spy stood there, the body-cam recorded the whole thing and the people watching at the Control Center were in shock to see that a single man could take down all those soldiers by himself. Hoskins was the most shocked of all. His best men were taken down by a single guy!
"Like I said before." Jay said, looking at the screen with clenched fists, "He is Mortem's second in command."
"He's like a one-man army." Lowery said in shock.
Hoskins fumed in anger as he took out a walkie-talkie. "All units, he went to room 207, now!" He ordered.
"Hoskins!? Are you trying to make things worse?!" Tim exclaimed as he pointed at the screen. "He already knows that we're on to him!"
And Tim was right. Once the spy figured things out, he made a break for it out the window. He jumps through the glass, shattering it in the process, before falling off the building. But instead of falling to his doom, he took out a grappling-hook and fired at a lamppost. Once it was hooked, the spy swung himself to a landing but not before he kicked an InGen soldier off the motorbike and then hijacked his vehicle before driving off in full speed.
"He's on the run!" Mike exclaimed as they saw everything from the screen.
Having enough of this, Owen ran off to the elevator, followed by Barry, Tim, Jay, and Mike. Owen knew the risk of losing the spy. Without him, he will lose the lead of where his niece is. Claire and the others were left in the Control Room while Masrani argued at Hoskins for doing something reckless. Then Lowery went over to Claire as he had something to show her.
"Claire, you need to see this." He whispers to her.
Claire looked at him with a nod as she followed him to the corner where he placed his backpack. There, he took out his laptop and opened it, typing something to reveal the file he just found on the monitor before Hoskins showed up and took over. "Here, this is the guy we're dealing with."
Claire reads out the file and her eyes slowly widen by this sudden information. This changes everything now. She turned towards the girls, Wu, and Carl as she showed them her shock and worry.
"We need to tell Owen, now."
At the jungles of Isla Nublar, Owen was driving the jeep in high gear. He needs to get to the raptor paddock as fast as he can. Holding on to the jeep were Mike, Tim, Jay, and Barry. They knew how protective Owen was towards his raptors and Val. And since they saw the footage of Mortem's spy kicking the asses of the InGen soldiers, he is going to escape the park in no time. Once they reached the raptor paddock, they saw soldiers getting ready to install cameras on the raptors. However, they were stopped by Owen when he marched over to them, yelling at the men to back off. Jay, on the other hand, notices the raptor being agitated and restless. He knows that they sensed Val was endangered and wanted to help. But their own way, not with these humans.
"Owen." Jay whispers to Owen, who was glaring at the soldiers, but turns to look at him. "The raptors wish to help out, but they don't need Hoskins' men to ruin it."
Owen looked at him skeptically. "Are you sure?"
Jay nodded. "Positive. They want to help and save Val."
Owen was hesitant, not sure if he brought out the raptors on the field. He worries for them getting hurt, let alone facing real danger. But he knew that one day his raptors will face danger. So, going over to the raptor pen, Blue was the first one who noticed their alpha coming towards them as he stood in front of the cage with serious eyes. The two made eye contact. It felt like they were reading each other through their minds. As if Blue understands him. They stared at each other for a moment before doing a sharp nod, making Owen smile at her.
"That's my girl." He said softly before turning over to Leon. "Hey, new guy, ready the gate!"
Leon wasn't sure by this since he was always told to not open the gates. But since Owen was his boss, he had to listen. Owen got on a motorbike while Barry, Tim, and Mike got on quad bikes. Jay was going to run with them since he was extremely fast. They were so ready that the InGen soldiers didn't have time to react when Owen gave Leon the signal. The new guy opens the cage doors, allowing the raptors to get in while Owen and the others follow, leaving the InGen soldiers behind. Jay was leading them to the spy. The group raced through the jungle with ease that they were like a blur. Owen, Tim, Mike, and Barry can catch up to them before they hear another motorbike from a distance. The raptors and Jay heard this and growled, knowing that the spy was getting away.
"Over there!" Jay yelled out as he led them to the direction with the raptors.
"Keep him surrounded! We can cut him off from the path." Owen instructed.
Jay nodded as he zoomed off along with the raptors. Charlie and Delta separate themselves from the group while Blue, Jay, and Echo as they will corner the spy. The three jumped out from the undergrowth and chased after the spy from behind. The spy saw them from the mirror and glared at them under the mask. Punching the gas, the motorbike speeds up. However, Blue and Echo went ahead, hissing and snapping their jaws at him, forcing the spy to turn to another direction. Charlie and Delta soon came out of the corner to drive him to another direction, making him angrier. Suddenly, the spy was knocked off by Jay, causing the motorbike to lose control and fall off a cliff, exploding in the process. Jay and the spy crash on the ground but not before the spy kicks him off. Jay grunted and landed on his back as the spy got up. Jay quickly got up and did a fighting stance. The spy did a fighting stance as well, but his eyes widened underneath the gasmask when he saw Jay's eyes.
"You?!" The spy exclaimed in shock.
"Surprise to see me?" Jay said with a growl before attacking the spy.
But the spy evaded his attack, dodging his sharp claws and kicks. Jay tried to punch him, but the spy blocked all his attacks. Then the spy swiftly knocks Jay off his feet. Jay grunted before he did a roundhouse kick, sending the spy flying to the undergrowth with a yell of pain. Jay quickly got up before he dodged an incoming bullet. The spy took out his gun and started shooting many rounds at Jay. However, Jay blocked all the bullets with his hard skin as he swiftly ran to him while swiping off the bullets. The spy threw his gun at Jay as he swiped it aside while the spy dodged his tackle. The spy then took out a shock baton and started attacking Jay, who avoided his attacks, trying to dodge the shock baton without getting hit. Jay swiftly jumps high and lands on a branch of a tree, growling at him.
The spy glared at him before he transformed his shock baton into an assault rifle. He aimed his weapon at the hybrid, ready to fire, but was stopped when he heard deep growls from behind. The spy didn't turn around as he could feel two giants behind him, revealing themselves as Ivy and Iris, the two Indominus Rexes. The two white hybrids growled at him as the raptors squad surrounded him. Owen, Tim, Mike, and Barry went to the hybrid paddock first and got Ivy and Iris to help them. They knew very well how attached they are to Val as they sensed her being in trouble. The spy glared at them under his mask as he clenched his weapon.
"It's over." Jay said, jumping off the branch, landing beside Owen, as he glared at the spy. "You're surrounded."
"You think your dinosaurs could scare me?" The spy mocked as he held out the device. "I knew that you people were after me the moment when you came searching for me."
"Stop with this bullshit! Where the hell is my niece?!" Owen exclaimed in anger.
"You will never find out." The spy said with a glare as he took out what appears to be a remote.
"What is that?" Barry dared to ask.
"This is the remote that will blow up Jurassic World." The spy warned them, causing the men's eyes to widen in shock. "I placed a seismic bomb underneath your hotel, and one pushed of this button, it will destroy anything within fifty miles."
"A seismic bomb?" Tim whispered in shock. "Impossible! It cannot be made!"
"A what bomb?" Jay asked in confusion, not familiar with that weapon.
"It's a bomb that is capable of unleashing a devastatingly explosive shock wave." Tim explained it to them. "The military tried to make one before, but it was too dangerous to control."
"That's because the military is not capable of such tech." The spy said as he held up the remote.
"Don't do it! You'll kill everyone in the park!" Mike exclaimed.
"Try me." The spy threatened them.
The hybrids and raptors growled at him dangerously as they were going to strike him but seeing something on his hand made them realize that it was dangerous and didn't want anything to go wrong. Owen and the others couldn't do anything, fearing that one wrong move, the whole island would be destroyed.
"Now, step aside, I need to leave." The spy said to them coldly.
"You're not leaving until you tell me where my niece is!" Owen demanded.
"You will never find her; you will end up dead if you try to stop me."
Owen glared at him. "Are you proud of what you're doing? Helping a madman take a little girl to be experimented on?! She is just a child!? Have you no heart!?"
The spy stared at him blankly. "You will never understand." He whispers as he was about to press the button-
"Stop!"
They heard Claire's voice. They looked towards the direction to see Claire getting out of an ACU van with Alex, Sofia, Lexi, Wu, and Carl. She came as fast as she could to find Owen and tell him everything. And when she and the others find them, they corner the spy, but it seems that he has something that screams danger.
"Claire!?" Owen exclaimed in surprise.
"Please, you don't have to do this." Claire said to the spy. "This is not you."
The Spy tightens his hold on the remote. "You have no idea what you are talking about." He said coldly.
"I do." Claire said to the man, holding her ground. "This is not you…Marco Kingbird."
There was a dead silence. As if time had stopped. The spy or better yet Marco stared at her with wide eyes underneath the gasmask. There was no way she could have figured it out. He kept his identity a secret. He made sure to use a fake name when entering the park. How could she figure it out?! The others stared at the scene in confusion, worry, and wonder. They wanted to know how Claire figured it out and why this Marco guy is hesitant.
"What you're doing is wrong, you know that." Claire said to him. "Working for Mortem is not the answer to saving your daughter."
Marco lifted his head and stared at her direction in shock. "How did you…"
"His daughter?" Owen whispers out.
"This Lowery person told Claire about his discovery." Carl explained. "He found out about Marco after searching through the database of the computer and as it turns out. He is a single father with a very sick child."
"A father?" Owen whispers in shock as he turns towards Marco, who appears to be shaken by this information.
"You…you stay away from her!" Marco exclaimed through the mask.
"Marco, please." Claire begged him. "We can help you save your daughter."
"You don't know anything that I have been through!" Marco exclaimed in anger. "You don't know the struggle and hardship I have to do to keep my little girl alive!"
"And that is why we are here." Carl began, stepping in as he stood besides Claire. "I have been a scientist for a long time, and I can assure you that I will help you save your daughter."
Marco stared at him with wide eyes. "W-What?"
"Working for Mortem means you need him to make the cure to heal your daughter." Carl said to him. "But you didn't find him, he found you when you were at your weakest. He promised you a cure for your daughter, to wake up from her coma. But you know better, Marco, Mortem always makes false promises."
"If you help us bring back Val, we can help you find the cure for your daughter." Claire said to him. "Just please, don't hurt anyone."
Marco felt his hands shaken by this information. It's true, no matter how hard he tries or succeeds in his mission, Mortem would never give him the cure. His sweet child will be forever in a coma. Never be able to walk or play ever again. But if he doesn't do it, his daughter will be killed by Mortem's hands. He was so distracted that he wasn't aware that a hand was placed on his shoulder. Startled, Marco looked up and saw Owen's concerned face. He understands Marco's pain and struggle. He is like that too, for he is an uncle for his little niece.
"Please…help me save my niece…and I promise, we can save your daughter." Owen begged the man.
Marco stared at him slowly as Owen removed his hand from his shoulder. The two males had a brief staring contest. But inside Marco suddenly snapped as a thought of his beloved daughter not being able to wake up filled him with remorse and pain. It was like something broke the barrier of emptiness, filling it with new emotions and thoughts. So, looking at Owen again, Marco slowly but surely gave him the detonation remote. Owen took it carefully as he eyed at the man carefully when he slowly took off his mask, revealing his face. Owen could see his misty eyes that indicated that he was about to cry, however; he kept it at bay.
"I ask again…where are they taking my niece." Owen asked again, sounding like a beg than a demand.
Marco stared at him for a long few seconds, before unclenching his fists, keeping his cool and face stern. Marco knows that they will keep their word. If he helps them get Val back, they will find the cure for his daughter or better yet, help him get the cure from Mortem. After a long and agitated wait, Marco finally gave them the long-awaited answer that they needed to hear.
"They were taking your niece to Isla Sorna."
