Okay, sorry for the long wait, I had to do something. I hope your guys are not angry for the late update. I had many assignments that needed to be done and studying for quizzes.
And thanks to the lovely comments and the people that helped me to come up with this story.
Also, to Mariah, I am not making a Miraculous Ladybug story.
P.S. It's a short chapter sorry.
Enjoy.
Through the jungles of Sorna, two sail-like creatures, dark red and green, were prowling through the thick greenery, snarling savagely as they hunted down their prey. Both growled in opposite directions before they split up in different directions to cover more ground, as they will surprise and attack their prey.
Their presences were unaware of Owen and his team, who were searching for Val through the jungle of Sorna. So far, they found nothing, but the raptors, hybrids, and Rexy were sniffing out her trail. It's still fresh, but they have to find her soon before it rains. If it rains, then the scent will wash off. Blue sniffed around the area before she caught on an unfamiliar scent. She raised her head up and sniffed through the air, it smelled different and strange. She has a bad feeling about this. She, her sisters, the hybrids, and Rexy split up to cover more ground, leaving the humans and Jay to search through another area. They began to worry if Mortem has found Val yet. Owen couldn't bear the thought of his niece being tortured and experimented on by that mad man. He promised his brother to take care of Val if both him and Alma cannot. And he's going to keep the promise.
"Find anything?" Owen asked Jay, who was sniffing around the area.
Jay took a few more sniffs before shaking his head, "Nothing so far."
"Dammit. We need to find Val before that psycho does." Owen mutters out worriedly.
"I hear you, Owen." Tim agrees to the raptor trainer. "But let's not think of the negative. Val's a smart girl, she knows the danger she's in."
"And she's with the Mortiferous Raptor. I doubt any soldiers would come and get her." Marco added, taking the lead of the search.
"You guys are right. I know Val is okay. I just wish I were there for her." Owen said with a sigh.
"I'm sure she's fine…" Jay cut himself off when he picked up a new scent. His eyes widened with this. "Oh no."
"Jay, what's wro-" Owen was cut off when he felt the earth beneath his feet tremble. Everyone froze as they felt the ground shake.
"What the hell is going on?" Owen suddenly whispers in shock.
Jay's snarled and roared. "Move!"
Hearing this everyone quickly moved out of the way when a dark green Baryonyx exploded out of the undergrowth with a powerful roar. Everyone was shocked to see it. It was seventeen feet in height and has a sail on its back like a Spinosaurus.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Tim exclaimed as his men readied their weapons.
"Experiment 127." Marco explained, eyes widened in realization, as he continued. "Mortem must've sent it and his brother to hunt Val!"
"Ah, hell no!" Owen yelled in anger as he readied his weapon.
"Wait a minute, you said it has a brother, where is he?!" Tim yelled in panic.
"In my case, hunting Val!" Marco stated in shock.
Experiment 127 roared as soldiers started firing at him. But no effect since his hides were too strong. He swung his massive tail at them, sending them flying and crashing on the ground with some injuries. Jay growled at Experiment 127 and released a roar of his own before charging at the experiment in full speed. He latches to Experiment 127's side and tries to distract it, so Mike and the others can get to the injured soldiers. And it works, as Experiment 127 was distracted at getting Jay off his back, the others helped the fallen soldiers up while they thought of a plan on stopping it.
"How are we going to stop that thing?!" Tim exclaimed as he helped a soldier up.
"We can't, Mortem made him and his brother bullet proof." Marco exclaimed. "The only way to stop it is another hybrid."
And just like that, both Ivy and Iris both exploded out of the undergrowth and both tackled Experiment 127, who roared in shock. Jay quickly jumps off and lands on Ivy's back, who roared at Experiment 127.
"Well, that's cares of that." Mike said as the hybrids battled.
"I don't understand." Marco spoke as he watched the hybrids fight. "Experiment 127 is always known to be the docile one."
"Well, it seems that he's no longer docile to me." Tim said as he fired a few rounds at Experiment 127, who roared at him but was cut off when Iris tackled the green hybrid.
Marco eyed on Experiment 127. There was no way that this hybrid can be so aggressive. Unlike his red counterpart, the green one was always in a distance, not obeying to Mortem's commands.
Unless…
Marco looked up at Experiment 127's head and saw a controlling implant on his head. His widen in realization as he figured out why he is so aggressive. Mortem was using that device to control Experiment 127! Ordering him to attack anyone that gets in his way.
"Mortem's controlling him!" Marco yelled to the group. "The device on his is the reason why he's aggressive!"
"Then let's get rid of it!" Owen exclaimed as he readied his shotgun.
Before he could fire at the device, Blue exploded out of the undergrowth with a powerful roar as she climbed on Ivy's back and jumped on Experiment 127's head. The hybrid roars as he tries to shake Blue off. But the raptor was holding on tight, she is not letting this green hybrid get in their way to find their hatchling.
"Blue!" Owen called to her, she maybe holding onto the hybrid's head while avoiding his massive jaw, but she still heard her alpha. "Get that black device off his head!"
Hearing this, Blue saw a black device on the hybrid's head. She tries to reach it, but the hybrid keeps shaking like crazy to get her off. He was about to bite her when Rexy and Blue's sister came in as well. Rexy grabbed Experiment 127's neck, preventing him from attacking Blue while the other raptors latched on his back. Ivy and Iris were about to charge but stopped when Blue quickly grabbed the device with her jaws and ripped it off Experiment 127's head. The green hybrid's eyes widened by the sudden spark on its head before turning limp, causing Rexy to let go of his neck as he collapsed on to the ground. Blue jumps off and tosses the device off her jaw as she roars in victory.
"Woah, didn't see that coming." Mike said in surprise to see Blue's sudden attack.
"Tell me about it." Owen said as he made his way to Blue. "Good job, girl."
Blue croons at her alpha as Marco goes over to the device and observes it. It was damaged because Blue ripped it off from Experiment 127's head. As Marco observes it, Ivy and Iris came over to the unconscious hybrid. "It's trackers down, Mortem will think that Experiment 127 has been terminated." He explained, observing the device.
Tim sighs and shakes his head. "He's one crafty bastard…" He mutters before asking. "You said that there's another one like him, right?"
Marco nodded. "That's right, Experiment 126. He's color red and he's more aggressive than his green brother." He explained as he looked up at the jungle. "And my guess, he's probably hunting Val as we speak."
"Then we better hurry and find Val before-" Owen was cut off when Experiment 127 suddenly shifted, causing everyone to tense and pointed their guns at him. But instead of attacking or being aggressive, Experiment 127 was confused. Like he doesn't know why he was here or how he got here.
"What's wrong with him?" Owen whispers to Marco, watching as Experiment 127 looked at the Indominus Rex Sisters in confusion.
"Without the controller, he's confused, he doesn't know what was happening right now." Marco explains to them quietly.
"In which case, he's free from Mortem's control." Owen said before adding. "And he's gonna help us track Val."
Marco looked at him confused. "What are you talking about?"
"You said he has a brother, and if that brother is out there hunting my niece, the green one can help us find her by tracking his brother." Owen explained to Marco his plan.
"If so, then how are we going to ask him that? We don't know if he would interact or agree to us, he's been abused his whole life by Mortem." Marco pointed out to Owen.
Jay looks up from the adults and sees something. "I think Blue has it covered." He said, pointing towards Blue, who was making grunts and growls at Experiment 127 as the green hybrid listens to her.
"What's she saying?" Mike asked Jay quietly.
"She says: helps us find your brother or we will rip your head off." Jay translated.
Mike, Time, Owen, and Barry looked at him skeptically. "Seriously?" Mike asked Jay.
"Seriously, and it appears to have work." Jay said as Experiment 127 made a grunt of agreement before slowly getting up from his feet and showed them the way. Seeing this, Tim got on the jeep and looked at his soldiers.
"Let's move out!" Tim ordered. Obeying his orders, they got on the jeeps and followed Experiment 127 to his brother's destination, hoping they could find Val soon.
But they are not aware that Experiment 127's brother was already there.
Archie leads Val and the carnivorous dinosaurs to the area where he would drop them off before they can go on their own. He explains to Val to follow the river that leads downstream. It will take her to an abandoned research center at the end, allowing Val to meet up with her uncle. Val thanks Archie before he left to go back to his base while Val and her companions walked down the river. Well, the predators were, Val was riding on Snow's back with Monica on her shoulder. Val can't keep up with them since she was still young and gets tired easily. Snow was happy enough to carry Val around since she didn't want the youngling to get tired on the journey. She would've let Val ride on Broken Sail, but she doubts the cranky Spinosaurus would allow a little girl to ride on him. But as they travel downstream, Broken Sail stopped at his tracks and suddenly sniffed the air, smelling something wrong, he could smell another predator, but it smelled like different predators coming, yet he felt one presence coming.
"Broken Sail, come on!" Val called out to the old dinosaur.
The old Spinosaurus was about to turn and leave when suddenly a big red Spinosaurus burst out from the undergrowth with a powerful roar, charging at Val in full speed. Val screamed, but Snow was able to dodge it and save both Val and Monica at the same time. The red Spinosaurus crashed on the river but got up and was roared by the old Spinosaurus. The two predators roared at each other while Snow's pack snarled at the red Spinosaurus. Snow took Val and Monica to a safe hideaway while she and the others fought off the predator. Val peeked from the undergrowth to watch the two alpha predators face off.
The two Spinosaurus were circling one another like gladiators, each searching for the other's weakness. The red one has the size and strength advantage. However, Broken Sail has more experience in battle than him. The Red Spinosaurus lunges forward, powerful jaws open wide. Broken Sail sidesteps the assault quickly, his tail knocking down small trees as it spins out of the way. Snow and her pack avoided the collision as the two giant predators fought. The red Spinosaurus presses his attack by slamming his tail into the flank of Broken Sail's face. The old Spinosaurus is knocked back, struggling to regain his balance, giving the red Spinosaurus an opportunity to attack. The red Spinosaurus latched on Broken Sail's neck, making the old dino roar in pain. But it didn't stop him from fighting back. Broken Sail used his sharp foot to scratch the leg of the red Spinosaurus, making him roar and letting go in the process. Then Broken Sail kicks the red behemoth, causing him to stagger back. This gave the Snow and her pack the opportunity to attack as they jumped on the red Spinosaurus with full force, latching to his side as he tries to bite him, but didn't have the time when Broken Sail lunges at the red Spinosaurus with gaping jaws and manages to topple opponent off his feet and sends the falling dinosaur to the ground.
With an earth-shattering 'CRASH!', the red giant lands on the ground, a few inches away from Val and Monica's hiding place. Snow and her pack were able to avoid the collision course, moving when Broken Sail was stalking towards the red opponent. As the red Spinosaurus was going to rise up, he was thrown back down as Broken Sail latched onto his throat, readying to crush the life out of him. But the red Spinosaurus wouldn't give up as he prevented the old dinosaur from crushing or breaking his neck. With enough brute force, the red Spinosaurus kicks the old giant off him. Broken Sail fell into the river while the red Spinosaurus got up on his feet and roared at the old spino. He was about to charge but was cut off when Snow jumped up and latched on top of his head. As the red Spinosaurus tried to get her off, Snow saw a black device attached to his head, blinking a small light.
Realizing what this is, Snow latched her sharp teeth on it and with full force, ripping it out from his head. The red Spinosaurus froze from his spot as his pupils widened at the sudden rush. Snow jumps off his head as the red Spinosaurus shook his head by the sudden spark from his head being removed. Broken Sail slowly got up from the ground as he growled at the red Spinosaurus with Snow's packmates backing up the old dino.
However, the red Spinosaurus didn't attack, instead; he looked around in confusion. This made the other carnivorous dinosaurs confused as well, halting their aggression as the red Spinosaurus was observing his area, wondering how he got here.
Snow knew exactly what's going on. She saw this before in the pit of an arena where Mortem would hatch his creations to fight to the death. She was always victorious in those battles, but some were not lucky. But upon further observation of this red Spinosaurus. Snow realizes that it was Experiment 126. A hybrid like her. He was created to be one of her packmates back on the island, but he never obeys Mortem at all. And now, Mortem must've found a way to control him with that device attached on his head. Speaking of which, the red hybrid looks over to them and suddenly becomes hostile as he releases a growl. Broken Sail and the raptors growled back at him but Snow roared at them to stop before going over to the red hybrid and made a series of clicks and grunts. A type of communication for carnivores like them to understand. The red hybrid listens to her words. She was saying that he was being used to hunt against his will. This caused the red hybrid to growl in fury. Like he was angered he was forced to be controlled. Snow suggested that if he helps them find some humans and return a human youngling back to her pack, he can get his revenge against Mortem. Liking this arrangement, the red hybrid agrees to help them as long as he can get to sink his jaws against that human for controlling him like a puppet.
Satisfied, Snow went over to Val's hiding spot and got Val out of there with Monica too. She placed them on them on her back before continuing their journey in search of Val's uncle with their new red hybrid companion.
"WHAT!?" Mortem exclaimed as he bangs his fist on his desk.
The mad scientist glares at his computer's screen as two of his hybrids' controllers' tracking devices are gone. He gave them one simple mission. Just one mission, to find the girl and bring her here to him. But they failed, just like the rest of his useless soldiers! And what's worst, his second in command has betrayed him! He joined their side so he could save his pathetic daughter, who was rescued by them! He should've killed her when he had the chance. Now, Mortem lost his top assassin and two of his prized hybrids. He's wasting his time on his useless soldiers and his experiments. He needs to get that girl right here and now! He's done waiting. He's going to get her any means necessary.
Mortem got up from his seat and marched out of his office and towards the lab. He marched past some soldiers and scientists, who looked at him nervously. He went over to a desk with vials that had dangerous chemicals. The scientists began to worry and became scared when they saw their boss getting that unstable chemical.
"S-Sir, what are you doing?" Asked a scientist, seeing Mortem grabbing a syringe and injecting the liquid of the vile into it.
"If you want something done, do it yourself." Mortem said before looking at the now scared scientist with a mad look in his eyes. "Thank you for your assistance, but your services are no longer required."
And with that, Mortem injected the syringe into his neck, as the liquid went into his blood. He drops the syringe, causing it to shatter to pieces before he starts to change. His body started to twitch, his bones started to grow, and the next thing everyone knew, his eyes turned dark as night. The scientists and guards started to panic as they all tried to make a run for it. However, they never made it out of the boat, only the sounds of their petrified screams were heard, mixed with a bloodcurdling roar that echoed through the ship.
