Many thanks for the reviews! I really appreciate it a lot, and this inspires me to bring in the next chapter and here the story comes underway as the Bicycle Club gets into an unexpected crisis, so expect a lot of tension and drama here as Mikoto and Yuki are involved in this chapter...

Now on to the story!

Ch. 4: Hōka

A few days later, the scene shifts to a club room at Cherry Hills High, and there Yousuke held a meeting in which the club members are there, and they are all looking serious after the incident that happened at the registration, in which Yousuke's former coach, Nomura, unveiled his new protege, Giru, and how Giru did some sexual harassment towards Yuki, and there he told the gang that they are going to train hard in order to raise their stamina in competing at the upcoming race and to show Giru how wrong he is in claiming that he will become he winner, which the others agreed.

"...so that's that! We're going to train hard and showed that bald octopus he chose the wrong group to annoy!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"And show that Giru who's the real loser!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

Kaho was silent at the matter due to her being one of the event's sponsors so she had to restrain herself and show neutrality while she is concerned for Yuki after learning what Giru did, and Yamato suggested that since summer vacation commences by next week, they can use that vacation to practice biking towards an uphill, and Yousuke agreed, and there the club captain glanced at Mikoto and told him he will personally train him in building up his stamina.

"Hey, Chibsuke..."

"Huh?"

"Next week...we're going to do an uphill practice..."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"You better be prepared..."

"Of course!"

Koichi was a bit concerned seeing how Yousuke's method would be taxing on Mikoto and tried to persuade the captain and let him handle the training, but Yousuke told Koichi that it is already decided, and Mikoto reluctantly accepted Yousuke's offer as he wanted to build up his stamina and wanted to beat Giru for humiliating the team and for making a pass at Yuki, and said that he is ready to commence the training, and there Yousuke told Mikoto to brace himself, as training starts next week.

"Hey, Chibsuke..."

"Huh?"

"Next week...we're going to do an uphill practice..."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"You better be prepared..."

"Of course!"

Yuki is silent the whole time, as she is still pissed at what happened a few days ago and she wished she had the means to beat up Giru and yet she is still a novice in biking, so she'll have to let her brother, Yamato, Koichi and Mikoto to go ahead and train themselves up in order to have the means to win the upcoming race and to humiliate Giru for what he did to her. The meeting went on until time is up and the club members left the club room leaving their bicycles at the shack, as they are waiting for summdr vacatiln to officially commence.

Later that night, Yousuke and Koichi had to leave for an emergency going with Koichi's dad, and Yuki is alone as their mom is at a relative's house, and with nothing else to do, she decided to drop by school as she realized that her favorite novel is at the club room, and taking her bike with her, she cruised all the way to Cherry Hills High, where she saw Mikoto arriving, and the two meet up and she asks him what is he doing here at this hour.

"Shinozaki-kun..."

"Ah, Yuki..."

"What are you doing here?"

"What about you?"

"I'm here to get something...inside the club room..."

"Me too..."

"Whatever..."

"..."

Mikoto said that he left a book at the club room saying that the book shows how to raise one's stamina when it co es to biking, and he said that he needed it, and Yuki rolled her eyes, as it was a coincidence that she would meet up with Mikoto, yet another side of her is quite happy to see him yet she kept those feelings to herself, and as the two went towards the club room, they saw men in ski masks are wrecking the bicycles and the men saw the two teens, and Mikoto told Yuki to run, and as she did so, he braced hi self to hold them off but then another pair of men in ski masks intercepted her and held her, and this distracted Mikoto and he was overwhelmed by the men.

Yuki demanded why are they doing this and the man said it is nothing personal as they were paid to wreck the club room and their bicycles, saying that they too hated Yousuke's gut and wanted to see him get humiliated by having no means to compete in the upcoming race.

"Sorry, bitch..."

"Nothing personal..."

"We hate Yousuke's face..."

"And we'd love to see him mope when we thrash his bike..."

"And burn this club to ashes..."

"Oh, I sure love this..."

"Better start crying, brats..."

"!"

Mikoto struggles to break free but the men began beating up Mikoto and Yuki tries to shout for helps but her mouth was covered as the other men began pouring gasoline on the bikes and on the club room and then set it on fire, and the two teens were horrified at what the men did, and the men continued to beat up Mikoto, but then a passing guard notice the smoke and sounded the alarm, and the men were forced to let the two teens go yet they said that their work is done and are hoping that Yousuke and his club would be devastated by this and expects them to bow out of the race.

"Oops..."

"We'd better go..."

"You brats are lucky..."

"At least you get to see your club burning down..."

"I sure love to see Yousuke throwing a fit.."

"You'll never join that race..."

"Ha-ha..."

"Bye bye, brats!"

The men in ski masks fled as Mikoto was slumped on the ground and Yuko went to his side and dragged him away from the burning club house, just as the guard arrived carrying a fire extinguisher and attempted to put the fire out but she told the guard that the fire is soaked in gas and the guard continued to pour out the fire until another guard arrives and assists, and soon a fire truck arrived and douses out the fire, and there Yuki told the guards what happened.

"Arsonists?"

"Yes..."

"Damn...who would want to cause this here at this school..."

"I don't know..."

"Were you able to see their faces?"

"No...they were wearing masks..."

"Damn!"

"..."

The guards were taken by surprise that a group of arsonists attempted to set fire at the school and said they will report it to the police and told Yuki to take Mikoto to a hospital to check on his injuries and she nodded as she helped Mikoto up and hailed a taxi and ordered the driver to take them to a nearby hospital, and the driver noticed the injuries on Mikoto, especially his face which was covered in bruises and a bit bloody.

"Where to?"

"To the nearest hospital!"

"What happened to your friend?"

"We were attacked!"

"Damn those guys..."

"Please take us there..."

"Okay..."

"Shinozaki...get a hold of yourself...!"
