Many thanks for the reviews! I really appreciate it a lot, and this inspires me to bring in the next chapter and here the story comes underway as the Bicycle Club gets into an unexpected crisis, so expect a lot of tension and drama here as Mikoto and Yuki are involved in this chapter...

Now on to the story!

Ch. 6: Mayonaka no Tansa

The scene shows that it is already past midnight, and you can see that Mikoto is asleep, having dozed off after being washed by Yuki, and yet Yuki remained awake as she is unable to get some sleep, apparently suffering from insomnia after recalling what happened a few hours ago, and she was a bit pissed that she and Mikoto were unable to defend the club room from the masked arsonists, and wondered who would do such a thing as the bicycle club did not have any enemies.

"Seriously...who would want to burn down the club...?"

Yuki also realized that Yousuke has not returned home and is probably staying at Koichi's place, thus she is stuck with Mikoto, and she glanced at him, seeing that he looked cute while sleeping soundly, and she unconsciously got captivated by his innocence, and as she glanced at him further, her mind had a mental debate where one side said that Mikoto is a good candidate to be her boyfriend, while the other is stubborn as she is unwilling to admit her love for Mikoto.

"Ooohhh...she is in love with Shinozaki-kun..."

"What? What are you...?"

"Admit it...you like him..."

"I'm not!"

"Then why did you attend the bicycle race several months ago? Why did you cry when Shinozaki said he won't betray you?"

As the metal debate continues, Yuki unconsciously placed her hand on his cheek, feeling his soft skin and gently moved down south, slowly tugging the blanket along the way, and she glanced at his torso, where it shows that Mikoto is still slim-looking yet attractive enough, but then saw the swellings which she realized that he narrowly escaped serious injuries due to the mauling and she hoped that Mikoto would be able to recover partially, yet it is questionable if he is cleared to participate in the upcoming bicycle race.

Koichi said that he will come up with a way to strengthen Mikoto's stamina so that he would at least have a chance to get the lead and to at least get a chance to win at least third place and he began to make notes on what steps he should take in order to help Mikoto, knowing that the 15-year old boy has a chance and the potential to win at least a consolation price, and there he and Yousuke continued to watch the video until Koichi's dad came in and told the two boys to go to sleep at it is already late.

"Hey, you two..."

"Yes?"

"Dad..."

"It's getting late..."

"Yeah..."

"We know..."

"Go to sleep..."

"Okay."

"Good night, dad..."

He two boys reluctantly turn off the TV and decided to go to sleep as they have to go to Yousuke's house to make plans on how to get Mikoto into shape. However, both are unaware that their club was bur ed down and their bicycles were damaged due to the attack by the masked arsonists who were hired to sabotage Yousuke's team and hinder their chances to join the upcoming race.

At an alley, the masked delinquents are there waiting for someone and they began talking about what they did, and they were pleased to see that their acts succeeded and they are sure to see Yousuke throwing a fit when he finds out that his club burned down and their bicycles damaged, and it is very satisfying for them and their reputations as tough guys would increase and the freshmen will be forced to respect them.

"That Yousuke...he's gonna cry..."

"I sure would like to see that..."

"We burned the club!"

"That makes us tough guys!"

"Yeah!"

"Hurray!"

By then, the unseen person arrived and asks the delinquents if they succeeded in their tasks, and the leader confirmed it, and the unseen person smirked as he brought out wad of cash and paid the delinquents for a job well done, and the delinquents were pleased and were paid handsomely in which they said that they are pleased that they will see the humiliation coming from Yousuke's face and promised that Yousuke and his team will be demoralized.

"Well done..."

"Thanks!"

"Here are your pay!"

"Wow! Thanks!"

"You're welcome..."

"We promise that Yousuke will be crying a lot..."

"I will expect that..."

After that, the masked delinquents left the scene and the unseen person smirked wider seeing that things are going his way and that there is no stopping him from achieving what he wants, and he took his leave as well and disappeared into the night.

She then saw the clock, which the tine shows that it is 1 AM, and she had to get some sleep so she lay beside Mikoto, blushing deeply at the thought of sleeping beside him, yet she forced herself to go to sleep and it eventually worked, as she drifted to sleep and both had a peaceful slumber after what happened earlier.

Hope you like this chapter...and though the scene is somewhat mild...it is a precursor on when the love scene would take place...for now Mikoto had a peaceful sleep, even though it was a sensual one, and Yuki would soon learn how to please a boy when the right moment arrives...
