"Okay, Melanie," Renee said. "you and Comanche are up first!"
"I'm ready whenever you are." Melanie whispered to Comanche.
Comanche nickered happily.
"You can do it, Mel!" Jess called.
Renee was teaching a jumping lesson that day.
Comanche jumped the brick wall with Melanie upon his back.
When Melanie and Comanche ended their turn jumping, Melanie dismounted Comanche's back.
"Good job, Comanche! You have earned an extra carrot for that jump!" Melanie exclaimed.
Melanie then led Comanche to the back of the line.
After the lesson, Jess was taking Barq back to his stall, when she spotted Melanie with Comanche.
"Hey, Mel, I'm going to the lounge to see Carole and KC's new puppy," Jess said. "are you coming?"
"In a few minutes, Jess," Melanie said. "I did promise Comanche an extra carrot for his hard work in the lesson today."
"I'll be in the lounge if you need me." Jess said.
Jess turned on her heel and put Barq back into his stall before going to the lounge.
Over in the lounge, Princess heard Elle's cane being tapped on the floor three times and ran over to Elle.
"KC? How long have you had Princess?" Elle asked, Princess was now in Elle's lap.
"She's 1-month-old, today is June 15th." KC answered Elle.
