Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, Naegi is on a DATE with a rental girlfriend, but is abruptly interrupted due to an unexpected situation…
And this is where the hilarity commences…

Ch. 5: Byōin no hisuterī part 1
The scene shifts at the Hospital, where Makoto and Enoshima arrived, and you can see that he is filled with concern when told that his grandmother is CRITICAL, and he was under the impression that his grandmother will expire anytime soon, hence he had to be there and say his final goodbyes while there is still time.
However, Enoshima is still nagging at Makoto and asked him if he still want to continue the rental, and wanting to end this, he said that he will as soon as things here are stabilized and asked her to talk about it later as he is focused on his ailing grandmother.
"I said I will, so give it a rest, okay?"
"How would I know?"
"…"
"You still haven't change the rating!"
"I said later…"
"I want an answer now!"
"…"
"Are you listening to me?"
Upon arriving at the information section, Makoto asked the nurse for information, and then head to the area where his family members are waiting, and once arriving there, the Naegi family is there, where the parents and Komaru are inside a hospital room where Makoto and Komaru's grandmother is laying on bed, and it appears that it was merely a false alarm, as the doctors assured that the Naegi matriarch will be okay, and while this is supposed to be good news, it wasn't the case.
The matriarch, identified as Makoma, is acting a bit cranky and the Naegi parents urged her to take it easy and she should be careful with her health, but Makoma said that she is feeling fine and told them to tell the nurse to activate the free WiFi, much to their dismay.
"Mom…"
"Please…do not be so…"
"I said I'm fine already!"
"But the doctor said…"
"You need to…"
"Stop treating me like an antique! Will somebody tell the nurse to open the WiFi connection?"
"Mom!"
"Please calm yourself!"
Makoto approached his younger sister and asked her how this ended up like this, but she reluctantly told him that their grandmother is quite hyper, and thankfully the doctors said that all she needs is a good rest and she's good to go.
This made Makoto sweat-dropped and said that their grandmother needs to simmer down or else everyone would be on edge, as he suddenly came here worried but now something like this has made him feel foolish.
"Seriously…"
"That's grandma, onii-chan…"
"Why did it turn out like this…?"
"Hee-hee…"
"…"
"I came here and got worried for nothing…"
"That's life, onii-chan…"
"…"
The scene shows that Makoma kept on complaining, saying that the WiFi connection is so slow that she couldn't surf her Facebook account, and threatened to go out and confront the hospital administrator and make a scene just to have her point taken.
The Naegi parents became panic-stricken and urged her to settle down and not do anything to worsen her health, but she berated them for trying to SPOIL her and said that she is healthy enough to do her usual activities, and tells them not to treat her like an antique.
"Mom…!"
"Please…do not be so…"
"I said I'm fine already! I'm strong enough to do my usual thing!"
"But the doctor already said that…"
"You need to relax or…"
"Stop treating me like an antique! Will somebody take me the nurse station? The WiFi connection here is slow, as a slug! Can't somebody do something?"
"Mom! Stop!"
"Please calm yourself!"
Makoto sweat-dropped while face-palming, as this made him feel like cringing, due to how this scene made him feel like leaving, as his life is already spiraling. First Maizono broke up with him at the recent graduation for a shallow reason, then trying out the rental girlfriend system, and just found out the hard way about how rental girlfriends work.
On top of this, he saw the TRUE NATURE of Enoshima, and now he came to the hospital whilst Enoshima tagged along just to ask him if he wishes to continue the rental and to get a higher rating after he gave her a low score.
Finally, Makoma settled down much to Mr. and Mrs. Naegi's relief, but noticed Enoshima, which made Makoto sweat-dropped as he realized that he should have sent her home once things stabilizes, and now he had to come up with something to explain, as he couldn't possibly tell his family that Enoshima is a rental girlfriend.
Makoto became more worried as Makoma asked her grandson who is Enoshima, and the teen boy had to think of a way to introduce her without giving themselves away.
"Makoto…"
"Y-yes…?"
"Who's that girl?"
"Uh…"
"?"
"She…um…well…"
"Makoto?"
"Er…um…ah…"
Komaru smirked and teasingly comments that her brother is so ordinary-looking that he may have unknowingly brought a girl here just to brag or to make Makoma feel better by claiming that he got a girlfriend, which made Makoto glare at her.
The Naegi parents seemingly agreed with their only daughter, stating that up until now Makoto has not introduced a girl and made comments that their only son would become a eunuch one day.
"That's Makoto…"
"Yeah…"
"Up until now he hasn't got a girlfriend…"
"I think he's better off becoming a Shinto priest…"
"I know!"
"Huh?"
"Let's make our son a eunuch! "
"Good idea!"
Makoto sweat-dropped while face-palming as he couldn't believe that his own parents and sister would make comments like that, and is considering leaving the hospital as he felt his presence is not needed anymore, but wanting to erase any suspicions, Enoshima stood up and GRACEFULLY INTRODUCED herself and said that she is Makoto's girlfriend.
The Naegi parents and Komaru stood in shock as they couldn't believe what they just heard, and they asked Makoto if this is true, and Makoto himself is shocked by Enoshima's actions and wondered what is she thinking and why say something like that, as he is worried that his family might find out that Enoshima is a rental girlfriend and not an actual girlfriend.
"What?"
"Our son?"
"Has a girlfriend?"
"This can't be!"
"Impossible!"
"This must be a dream!"
"Our son is so ordinary that it's impossible for him to bring a girl here!"
"Indeed!"
As Makoto tried to think of a way to divert his family's attention, Makoma jumped from her hospital bed and went to her grandson, feeling overjoyed that he has gotten a girlfriend, much to his shock, and now she said she no longer have any regrets, which made the Naegi parents believe that she wants to die now and urged her to calm down.
"Mom…!"
"Please…do not be so…"
"Ha-ha! This is good news!"
"Stop that! The doctor said you…"
"You need to…"
"This is the best news I got! Now I can die in peace!"
"Mom!"
"Please calm yourself!"
Makoto twitched his eyes as his grandmother made another unnecessary scene, and face-palmed even more, as he felt that his life has taken a 180° turn, and he told his grandmother to behave herself and stop acting foolishly.
He then noticed that Komaru is observing Enoshima, glancing at the elder girl from head to toe before the younger girl stared at Enoshima's chest, and stared wide-eyed seeing that her cleavage could be seen and told her family that her elder brother has a thing for girls with big boobs, which made Makoto blush even more and he COMICALLY shook his younger sister and told her to stop making foolish comments out of the blue.
"Komaru!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"What kind of comment is that?"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"Will you knock it off already?"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"I mean it!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
The Naegi parents noticed it and glanced at Enoshima, and they too noticed her attire and saw her cleavage, which they too misunderstood and became panic-stricken, believing that their son wanted to get DEFLOWERED, and they urged their son not to rush things and should think about what he intend to do.
Makoto twitched his eyes at hearing his parents' silly comments and he berated them for that, but then his mom took out her smartphone and said that she will arrange to send Makoto to a convent and have him enter a career as a priest in order for him to REMAIN PURE and uphold CHASTITY.
Mr. Naegi seemed to agree what his wife is suggesting, and commented that his son should learn how to control himself around women, and there Makoto further berated his parents and told them to knock it off already, which his parents were seemingly unfazed.
"Mom! Dad!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"What kind of comment is that?"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"Will you two knock it off already? I'm not going to the convent! And I have no intention of becoming a priest!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
"WHOA-WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!"
Outside, a pair of nurses sighed as the room where Makoma is being confined has gotten rather LIVELY, and wondered if Makoma is going to be okay after a false alarm over her health, and they couldn't help but admire the senior citizen's gutsiness.
"Wow…"
"The room's got livelier…"
"Makoma must be feeling better."
"She sure scared us…"
"Yeah, I thought this was her time…"
"Got to admit…for a senior citizen she sure is energetic…"
"Yeah."
"Good for her…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Makoto arrived at the hospital to check on his grandmother, only to find out that it was just a false alarm after being told that she is about to pass away…
Hilarity ensued as Makoma takes an interest in Enoshima after being told that Enoshima is Makoto's girlfriend despite skepticism from Komaru and the Naegi parents...
