'Once again I have to take care of that scrowny little brat...
and why do I have to be stuck with Envy?
That fag has such a big mouth that I wish the Flame
alchemist would just burn him to death!'
Chapter 9 ~ Another Mission
-Raven-
After signing paper work for a while, it was about time for Raven to call in the Mercury alchemist. "Mr. Raven sir... are you in there?" a small voice calls out followed by a few knocks. "Yes you may come in," following his orders, Cat walks cautiously into his office in a nervous manner. "Ah miss Cairo~! What can I do for a fine lady like you on this nice day?" he asks. "It's rare to ever see you here in Central." "I have been told that you wanted to give me a mission sir so I..." unable to finish her sentence, Cat looks down and made Raven curious about her actions. He stood up from his desk and walked up to the alchemist. "I know your nervous about going under someone elses command isn't easy," he places his hand on her shoulder, "but it won't be long until you get used to it. My command is the best." Walking back to his desk, Raven instantly threw a large yellow folder at Cat's which ended up in her face.
-Me-
I instantly felt the folder slam right onto my face. My finger twitched a little before I slowly took the parchement into my hands. "How dare you insult me you bastard..." I mutter under my breath as I grip onto the thing tightly. "Is something the matter?" Raven spoke up, causing my to snap back into reality. I shook my head and look up at his with a serious face and replied, "Nothing's wrong sir, I was just talking to myself." "I see..." he trails in his sentence. I understand he's suspicious of my actions, but I even more suspicious of him. Things started to turn serious now.
"There has been recent reports of a kidnapping and murder of women. They have been found chopped up into pieces and left out in random streets to rot. Each have been cut up so brutally that investigators and family members have a hard time to recognize the victims."
'Sounds like Barry the Chopper...'
"I'm sending you over to help capture this man, also known as Jack the Ripper."
I anime fall to the side. Just when I stood back up, in a matter of seconds asking, "Why would you come up with a name like that!?" Raven blinked a few times then started to laugh. 'That man doesn't even exist in this world... He's a famous criminal in my time so that name shouldn't pop out like that!' "I was thinking of calling him Barry the chopper," correcting himself, Raven turns away and strokes his chin. I, once again, anime fall to the side. Sitting on the ground, I thought to myself, 'This is nuts! I always knew this guy was a nut-job!'
++Later on++
When I was allowed to leave, I ended up at the military's cafeteria to have my first meal in a while. "I really should eat properly," I stare down at my stomache, "my body won't be in it's right shape if I keep mistreating it like this." The meal wasn't half bad, but it wasn't good either. All the soldiers around me seemed okay with the crap they were eating. I actually found it weird to eat! "Especially how gross the cook is..." as I trail in my sentence, my gaze traveled to a fat dirty woman/man handing down each tray to every single soldier that comes up. Maes once told me that it was actually an old lady. I hardly believe it until I took a closer look at the so-called 'lady's face and saw it was in fact a women. Reminds me of my old lunchlady back at home. Every meal that I ate from that place was like eating garbage with every bite I took.
I decided to read the report to help pass my time. The first page read:
There have been many reports of murders all over East city. Each and every victim was killed in the same, yet different, one murder weapon that was used on every victim, and iinvestigators have confirmed that the weapon is a butcher's knife. It is unknown who the murder is and what his name is, all that is known is that there is no motive behind the recent killings. We believe that it is Barry Houston (the Butcher), whose been missing for weeks now, is the killer behind all these murders. Below are his details:
Name: Barry Houston (me: He needs a last name)
Age: 35
Occupation: Butcher
Report: On the night of July 17, a corpse of a women was found in a butcher shop was found chopped into pieces. Barry claims that he was out for a walk during that time, but investigators think otherwise. The corpse has been identified as his own wife, or used to be, and was left for dead for 4 hours. Locals have informed the police that they had seen Barry's wife walk into the shop and never went out afterwards. Barry never went in or out of his shop. Meaning he was either the murderer, or he simply never went to his shop at all. Informants have told us that the shop was indeed open on that day, so the authority questions Barry Houston's story if it's true or not.
During the investigation, more reports have turned up about multiple women killed in almost the same brutal fashion as the wife. Police went to visit the Houston househole only to find it was empty. We believe that Barry is the killer and we want you, the Mercury Alchemist, to bring him down. You are not allowed to bring him back dead.
"I wonder how Ed and Al are doing by now..." I mutter with a long sigh, placing the papers down on my is the point where I'm not sure what they're doing at this moment, except looking for the philosopher's stone, since the manga never showed me where they went for the next 3 years after the exam. I know that they never went to Hiessgart, well maybe in the game, and were never supposed to have a partner at the beginning. I became so deep in thought that I never realized who was sitting right infront of me. "Today is quiet a lovely day, isn't it Ms. Catherine Cairo?" a masculine voice questions. Looking up, a giant shadow overcast my sight. "Uh... Hey Armstrong, what brings you here to... Central?" I tried my best to make by voice sound normal, but a little squeal came out in the end. Yes I've met captain Muscle in person. It wasn't easy when I tried to get my hand out of his hand shake when we first met.
"What seems to be the problem Ms. Cairo? Does my magnificent body fascinate you that much?" as soon as he asks me that, he suddenly rips his shirt off and starts flexing his muscles. Pink sparkles slowly started to travel in my direction. I felt really freaked out at the sight of how Armstrong was showing off in front of me. 'Especially those that were nearby..." I thought as I glance to the side. With little luck, I silently snuck away from the little show and made an exit out of the cafeteria. Even though I already planned on leaving the excuse of a dining area, Armstrong gave me a bigger reason why I should leave. "I have my limits on guys like that...It's so hard to find someone that's normal in this place...!" Which was pretty much true. No matter how nice these characters seem to be when watching the anime, but seeing and meeting them in person is really mind-boggling.
"Ah! I almost forgot about the mission! I need to catch the next train now!"
\\Later/
As soon as I arrived in East City, my feet finally gave out and made me collapse on my own two feet. I had been rushing and wasting my time so I can get to the East and have had no rest until I finally got a ride got here. "Raven did say that there would be an escort waiting for me... oh joy..." I mutter in a not so interested tone. I kept on searching for whoever it was that I needed to meet up with, but sadly there were too many people surrounding me. Today seemed like a very busy day for everyone, "Or maybe they just don't wanna end up as the next victim." Just before I was about make my leave, two hands were slapped onto my shoulders with a large impact. "Gah! Who the hell do you think you are you bastard!?" I twirled around and readied a fist at the stranger. But it was a sudden surprise at who I met, the two goof balls who I never thought I'd see again.
"Havoc! Fuery!" I gasp in surprise.
/
"Havoc! Fuery!"
(me: Gotcha! Expected the Elric brothers?) "Yo!" Havoc greets in response to my reaction. This was not what I had anticipated this at all. My mind was still trying to take in the fact that I was seeing them in person and that I have not gone insane. "What are you guys doing here!?" I'm still surprised to see those two were here. "The colonel wanted us to make sure that you don't end up as one of the victims. Fuery and I were the only ones that volunteered for the job," he jabs his thumb behind his back to point at the four-eyed man. "That's because you force me into it! Not that I have a problem Ms. Cairo," blurts out a really nervous private. A sweat drop forms on my head as I watch the two 'argue' with one another, except it seemed more one-sided than an argument.
To help Fuery win this argument, I popped the question, "So Havoc, found yourself a girlfriend yet?" All of us know that Havoc always has a hard time in getting himself a girl to stick, or hang, with for not only for a few minutes, but even seconds as well. In mere seconds, Havoc ends up getting depressed and started reciting, god-knows what, in a witch like manner. I almost thought he was reciting some sorta curse by the way he looks. "You do know that's a very sensitive topic, right?" Fuery questions. I just shrugged my shoulders and replied, "It's his fault for always losing them to Mustang. He's the one at fault here ya know." An arrow struck Havoc's hearts. "All Havoc does is fall head over heels for each women he see's when it's the girl that's suppose to fall for him. What an idiot," I said in a fake mocking tone.
More arrows show Havoc, and it was so comical to watch! Poor guy never knew what hit him. "So, you guys gonna drive me there or we walk?" I ask out loud, putting my arms behind my head and looked around. "Ah I'm sorry ma'am! Right this way!" Fuery gestures a black old-fashioned car that was right behind him and pulls Havoc along with him. 'I think I over did it,' I thought to myself as I gave Havoc an apologetic look. As I got in the car, I then noticed how old-looking this vehicle looked. I don't mean to brag but the type of cars I'm used to are way cooler than this one, and I always thought they were so lame. "Is this how all military cars look like?" was the first thing I ask. Havoc, after finally snapping out of his trance, answers, "Nah! Our's are more advanced than how broken down the others are. We try our best to keep our gear up an runnin' in case of an attack."
"I see..." I said in boredom, leaning again the window and stare as the outside world passes by. "How does it feel to be part of the military kid? I know it's a little late to ask... it's just strange for a little girl like you to join the military at a young," Havoc looks up at the mirror to look at me. 'Don't call me little,' was what I wanted to say, but then I knew I would end up making them compare how much I'm like Edward. It's bad enough that people think I'm his girlfriend! So I just blinked at his question before I answered, "Well it's not how I anticipated... but I was able to make it through from all that practice I did before coming here. Like they say, practice makes perfect," I joked with a goofy grin on my face. Maybe this won't be as bad as it looks. The problem now is how I'll deal with Number 66 now. Alchemy was one ot those problems, but now I have to face a serial killer that has probably killed 23 or more people by now, and I still can't stand the site of blood yet.
Strange coming from a person who just joined a blood thirsty military. "How 'bout you guys?" I ask, curious on their reasons. Fuery was the first to answer me, "Well I joined so I can help my country." Made sense. "I joined so I could check out the girls in the military," I slapped Havoc on the shoulder. "Ow! Alright it's not about the girls, I did it for my old man. He died from an explosion during his service to the military."
Now I regret asking. I did not expect, maybe about the ladies, that he'd do this for his dad. "Sorry I didn't mean to-" I was interrupted by Havoc with raised his hand up. "Don't worry kid, I got over that after seeing his grave," was his answer. I could tell there was a hint of sadness in Havoc's voice, but I kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't cause anymore painful memories to sprout. With that, silence filled the air. As soon as the car made it's stop, I saw Roy Mustang infront of my window right at the same moment when my face turned dull. "Oh joy it's sir piss-me-off!" I said sarcastically, pretending to look happy to see him. I stepped out of the car casually. "Seems like someone is over joyed to see me," smirks a very cocky Mustang. A vein pops at the back of my head when I saw his smirk. Oh how much I wanted to punch his face so much... "I seen you've grown a little over the past few months," supposedly a compliment, my blood started to boil from how annoying it was when he was comparing my height from before.
"And I see you've gotten a little shorter from when I last saw you," I spat back with venom in my tone. I just seemed to have flattered him even further. "Come... we need to head up to the crime scene," he orders, walking away with his hand in his pockets. "Ah wait a sec!"
\\Later/
"This is.,.." words could form from how horrific the site was. In the middle of the streets of East laid the corpse of, what used to be, a women. God how I wanted to puke. "Mama! Mama!" a little boy cries, trying to get out of a military man's grip. "Hold it kid! This isn't the place for you right now!" but the child wouldn't listen. I gaze at him solemnly as I watched the boy slowly break down in place, tearfully watching at investigators take a good look at the body.
"Ignore him Mercury," Mustang spoke up, "you joined the military out of your own will so you have to get used to these types of things."
Despicable as it may sound, I have to comply to his advice no matter how horrible it may be. In order to keep myself from doing anything reckless I grit my teeth and continued to follow Mustang. We got closer to the body. Hawkeye was there as well, who was helping the men, and then saw the two of us walking in her direction. "Sir!" salutes the lieutenant. "Long time no see Lieutenant Hawkeye," I greet, slightly feeling uneasy from the site behind her. "Have you found any leads?" Mustang asks. Hawkeye shook her head 'no' in response. "The only info we've got is that the body was cut up long ago. Traces of the killer were cleaned from last nights rain so we-" As Hawkeye fills Mustang on what's going on, I made my way towards the site without the two knowing. 'If this body was just made recently... then the footprints itself should still be here...' I thought as I took a bottle of water out of my bag.
When I spread the water the down whatever area that was around the body, I knelt down to the ground and performed alchemy on the water. 'I really should thank those lame investigation shows. I wouldn't have known what chemicals they used to look for evidence! Now let's see what we've got,' and after that a foot print slowly formed on the concrete. "Yes! Hey colonel, I found something!" I called out as I spun a heel to face Mustang. All the soldiers came up to where I was and saw what I had done. 'Too bad these guys still advance in their technology. This makes things harder knowing that these guys don't know what I just did.' My eyes scanned the formed prints. "This guy really enjoyed his work, so much he didn't even think of running away from the scene immediately!" I pointed out on how perfectly placed the foot print was.
The print was perfectly in place, and it seemed that it was made just now instead of it being recent. "Did anyone walk here in this direction?" I question in case it was a soldiers'. Everybody said no simultaneously, which was good since i didn't have to worry that I just wasted precious water. "Impressive Catherine... care to explain how you did it?" that question got to me. 'Agh! I forgot they don't use acid yellow 7 yet!' I scream in my head. I started to sweat nervously until I stood up saying, "I'll go look for the murder myself!" "Hey wait a minute!" but I was already long gone before anyone could stop me. I know I did a very stupid thing to do that may cause Mustang to be suspicious of me, but I really want to get this over with. Who would wanna stay in East with a psychopath roaming in the same area? Not me. "Now if I were a killer where would I could~?" I chanted in a child-like manner. There was nobody around. 'Meaning their either hiding or left,' I thought to myself nervously. My walk around the city did help me get a bigger picture of this area. Heck, I could even make my on fanbook chronicle cause of this!
That's when I stopped in place. The first thing that came into my mind was this, will I be able to go home? Better yet, can I save everyone? While they stay inside in one red stone I'm here walking around East city and still haven't done anything yet to find the stone. "And the only person I've meet so far that can make the stone is Dante! Yeah Hoenheim, Father, and Marcoh know how to make it, but Dante nearly tried to destroy a whole town! And that girl is probably the only one who knows me," an image of her evil face entered my head. I shook my head hysterically as I continue my search, "Get a hold of yourself Catherine! You can allow that to get in the way of your current mission." I love the fact that missions like this can get your mind off of things, except it's a little too much to handle for a 13 year old like me. Reality really sucks.
I sighed in defeat and slouched my shoulders, "Geez... one simple mission and I can't even fulfill it...!" Just when I was about to give up, a sudden scream was heard in the distance, and it was really close. "AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" I broke into a run immediately. There is no way in hell will I let this one slide! The scream from earlier was just around the corner, 'So if I make it there, than that lady will live!' When I finally got there after my long sprint was a women, who was crouched down on the ground, shivering in fear. I got up to her as I took my jacket off. "Don't worry ma'm, help is on the way!" I reassure her to the fullest, slowly placing my jacket around her body. "Was there anyone chasing after you?" I question. She nods and points to a certain direction, "A man... her was coming at me with... a large knife." I know I saw this somewhere before, but this is the brotherhood version.
'Barry looks waay different between the two versions. Maybe this really is a victim,' or so I thought. Right when I was about to go to where the women directed me, something hit the back of my neck and caused me to black out in place. As my conscious slowly started to slip away, again for the hundredth time, I saw large feet walking towards the women and kills her right on the spot. I wanted to scream- 'how many times will people knock me out!' and 'I'm not some sorta thing that you can just knock out'. In my situation, I'm in no position to fight back.
"Ugh... I wonder how times has it been already...?" I groan as I sat up. "Huh?" taking a good look at myself, my body was covered in chains up from my shoulders till my waist. "I gotta say," I struggled to get out, "this guy really knows how to tie people up." This was gonna be tougher than I thought. My arms were bound to my body real tight and I still haven't mastered my alchemy yet. I had an idea that since Edward's father could do alchemy without doing any motion I thought I could do the same. 'Ok think... get the formula in your head and imagine these chains coming off..." my thoughts were focused on deep concentration. I close my eyes to help. The chains soon started to changed and became a metal sword. I open my eyes and saw that I was free, but what I made didn't exactly change to what I wanted it to me. Yes it was a sword, but a little off from how I pictured it.
I won't used it since my kidnapper forgot to take all my weapons. Right after I stood up was the time I then noticed that I was in a freezer. "Man it's cold," I breathe out. Cold air was the only thing I felt, and what also surrounded me was dead meat. What could I expect from a butcher's shop? I started to rub my hands as I walked around. Strange, I know that I wasn't the only one stuck here unless... I rejected the thought, "No... She's gotta be alive! There's no way that lady is dead." I saw her moments ago before I blacked out so there's a possibility that she's okay. I did find an exit eventually, but of course the only way to get out is if I open it from the outside. I looked up and saw and air vent above it. "Help... me..." a cracky voice pleads. I turn around and saw a horrid sight. The woman was with me, except she was bleeding. Her arm had been cut really deep and that's never a good sign.
I got over to her and took a closer look at it. "The tissue doesn't seem to be cut so maybe I can repair her outer layer," I confirmed what to do and placed my hands on her bleeding arm. "What are you-" she was interrupted when I started do my alchemy on her arm. I only transmuted her skin together to stop the bleeding. When I backed away, the woman stares at her arm in amazement. She gazes up to look at me and asks, "Are you an alchemist?" "Yep! I'm actually part of the military so there's nothing to fear," I answer with a smile. When the both of us got back on our feet faint footsteps suddenly started to echoe in the air. "No... no I don't wanna die!" the woman suddenly panics and slowly sinks to the ground. I knelt down to her level and try to calm her down, "You won't die! You're gonna be alright, how old are you exactly?"
She hesitates for a second then replies, "I'm 25 years old..." This conversation was starting to make me feel like I'm actually talking to a 5 year old, but she'll have to make an exception since we're in a deadly situation. "Okay listen to me, you're gonna escape from this and you'll reunite with whoever it is that's important to you," I needed to pre-occupy her with something so she won't think about the killer. 'In her state,' I stared at the door, 'she'll end up having a panic attack if this keeps up.' With that thought in mind, the door handle starts to move slowly before opening itself up. At the doorway stood none other than Barry the Chopper himself. "So that's what he looks like... he actually looks better as a suit of armor than as a human...!" I agree to myself silently. Barry seems different from when he had a metal mask plastered on his face than how he looks without it.
Covering the woman's mouth with my hand, who whimpers in fear, the both of us watch as Barry walks to where I was supposedly tied up. Instead, he finds my transmuted sword on the cold floor. Picking it up, he starts to look around what's around him in search of his catch, me. Now I was scared. "Playing hide and seek? That makes the gives me an even bigger thrill in killer you!" laughing like the maniac he is, Barry swings both of his weapons randomly and hits whatever object is nearby. We had to get out of here now before Mr. Butcher here finds us and chops our flesh into pieces. "HAHAHAHA! I love playing this game! It always makes your spine crawl!" This made me realize that we had to move now! "We have to go...!" I half whisper half yell. "How are you gonna do that..!?" that question got to me.
'How do we get out... the only way is either through at air vent or the- that's it!' "If that guy go in here than that means the door's still open...! Only an idiot would close a door that can only open on the outside...!" from my information, hope filled in her eyes. The two of us silently made our way to the door. Our footsteps matched with Barry so we had no problems there, until one of us slipped up, literally. "Ah...!" the women slips on frozen water. "I found you!" now we're screwed. "Run!" the both of us ran for it without looking back. His blades slices the air behind our backs and continues this action as we hear his footsteps echoing in our hears. "Don't run away. The game just started!" Barry continues to laugh non-stop. Almost there, just a few feet more and we're home free! "Takes this you maniac!" I whirl around and slammed one hand to the ground.
Water rose up from the ground and froze into pure ice. Just when I thought I got him, Barry starts to hit the ice with his butcher knife. "C'mon! I can see an exit!" the woman calls for me. I grit my teeth then follow where she was. I don't know where exactly I am, but I know for a fact that we're in a slaughter house by the looks of all the boxes, that were against the wall, had blood coming out of it. I came closer to the door when a suddenly hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. "No! Leave her alone!" was when I realized who it was that got me. I hesitated at first before I got the courage to look up at my captor, Barry himself. "Let go of me you freakin' bastard!" I struggled to get out of his grip, but it was no use. No use, he's too strong. "I said let go! Are you deaf!?" Oh how I wish I didn't say that. In a matter of seconds, metal collided with metal.
'Did he just... cut my arm off?' Time was slow around us, mostly me, that helped me realize my automail arm was the one that was chopped off. Everything moved back to it's normal pace, and I found myself lying on the floor below me. Barry pouts, "Your arm is metal." "So what? Maybe the rest of my limbs are metal!" 'Stop it...' "Why not just let me and this lady go since I'm mostly metal?" 'Stop it!' "I mean, you won't have fun if you're killing something that's practically a cyborg," the whole tmie I was blabbering nonsense, my thoughts scream for me to stop. There's no use on trying to pursue this guys, I'm dead meat without my arm. He stayed silent for a while so I continued to talk to him by mockingly say, "Unless you're a wuss who just targets random women. You're a criminal who just likes flesh of girls when there are many people out there to kill. Aren't you tired of just cutting people up? I bet your wife really wanted to leave you, so you decided to cut her up. Or is it cause you just got bored with cutting up pig?"
I don't know what it happened, but I was in the air hanging by my hair that was held in his large hand. "Of course I got bored of cutting animal meat! I may be a butcher," Barry raises his blade and continues, "but I'd like something that fights back for once." I close my eyes, ready to get my head cut off, but it never came. A gun shot banged above my head and I suddenly felt lighter. I drop to the ground afterwards. My eyes did open, but I was in a daze. Barry was in the ground, holding his poor hand, as soldiers came up and raised their guns at him. "Catherine! Are you alright!?" I didn't answer to that. Hawkeye ran down to my side and took a closer look at me. I only saw visions of what happened to Alice, how helpless she was, then Jealousy came along to make things worse. She raised her sword and stabs Alice with now style at all, it was just plain brutal and showed how much the homunculi wanted to kill her.
Jealousy stops to look at me, her face covered in blood, only to laugh just like how Barry would. I practically saw myself trying to call out to her. My body wouldn't move, how could I when those black arms were holding me. 'Black arms...? No! Let me go Truth! I need to save Alice!' was what I wanted to say. All my words came out audibly and the arms continue to hold me back. To make my fear worse, Jealousy licks the blood off her blade and smiles. Reality came back to me and so did the madness that I've been trying to hold back. "AAAAHHHH! STOP IT! I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" my screams caused everyone in the room to go quiet. Hawkeye was at a loss of words and watches as I place my head in my one hand. "No more... No more! Enough blood!" Nobody moved an inch as I balled myself in madness.
I snapped. After one year I had finally snapped. "It's my fault," I look up at Riza, "she's dead because of me!" Of course they didn't know what I was talking about, I just wanted to finally let it out my chest. "Please... put me out of my misery..." I no longer had the will to scream anymore. Mustang soon later started to bark out orders, "Take that man away! And someone call a medic! We have two injured people!"
\\The Next Day/
I don't know what happened afterwards. The only thing I knew is that I found myself staring at the white wall in front of me. I heard the door open, but I didn't bother to see who it was. "Ms. Cairo? You have a few visitors here to see you," the nurse informs me. She left immediately to leave me alone with whoever they were. Flowers were place in my place, making me finally snap out of my trance and look to see my visitor. "Hawkeye, Fuery, Havoc, Breda, Mustang," my mouth ran on everyone that was in the room. It surprised me that I had so many visitors in one room. Taking the flowers in hand, I saw a large bouquet of Ether flowers, which reminded me of Armony from FMA and the Broken Angel. Another sad thing to pop in my head and it wasn't Alice this time.
"We were told by the doctor that you'll be released from the hospital in three weeks."
"Ugh... how am I gonna continue my travels if I stuff like this happens? What happened to the Lady Mustang?"
"She's fine Mercury, her body will recover faster thanks to your healing abilities."
"I just connected her skin together that's all."
"Actually, the doctor reported that all the flesh and skin was repaired efficiently. Seems you do have a knock in alchemy than you seem to be."
'Now wait just a minute! I healed her arm!? There's no way in hell could do that to human flesh! I can't even transmute cement properly without using too much of it!' my face gave away that I was lost from what I heard. "Can I ask you something Mercury?" Mustang asks me, casually taking a seat at my bedside. "Um... yes?" that didn't sound like an answer. "What exactly happened to your arm? And don't tell me it was from an accident, I can clearly see you can use alchemy without a circle like Ed." The first thing that came into my mind was this: 'He figured me out!' "I... uh... well you see..." I scratch the back of my head nervously as I fumbled around with my words. He smirks at this and asks, "Is there a problem?" I hesitated. Who would've thought I would be caught by the likes of this guy? "Alright I'll tell you," I gave in.
I told them every detail about me, leaving the part I'm from a different dimension, and that I was involved with the homunculi. "So you see... we were used as a sacrifice and I'm the only one left," I finished my story and breathed out in relief. Breda asked me surprised, "You and that many children were used for a transmutation?" Yeah, I also didn't tell them that they were changed into a stone. I nod 'yes' to his question and answered, "Alchemy is science ment to help others... but this guy abused his talent and made others suffer for it. So I want to try and find the stone so I can take back the lives that man took." "But human transmutation is forbidden," Havoc jumps into the conversation. "No, I know for a fact that they're still alive." "How so?" Mustang questions. "I've been at the gate and saw that they weren't dead. We can't bring back the dead, but that doesn't mean those that were sacrificed are," I explain my 'theory' on what I knew from the anime/manga.
Al was used as a sacrifice and his body is just waiting at the gate at this very moment. I can tell everyone was trying to take in what I just said. I knew that I could save them. They maybe a stone now, but that doesn't mean I'll stop. The door bursts open and reveals Armstrong, without his shirt on, running to my bed. "Such a sad story! Let my beautiful body heal your pain!" his tears only made the sparkles worse. "Get away from me you freak!" I scream and transmuted a winter wonderland around us.
'Alice... I hope you can hear me! I know I wasn't able to save you, but I will save everyone! I promise you!'

Cat- Suure you are! And I'm not a Cat you lazy writer!
Me- Kit cat!
