Here is my number 3 I hope you enjoy

Alex was in her office arguing with Jim Steele on how to handle a case. Olivia knocked on the door with a handful of food.

"Detective Benson, to what do we owe the pleasure?" Jim asked the brunette.

"I'm here to give my hard working wife some lunch?" Olivia walked in Alex's office placing the brown bag on the desk. "Do you care to join us?" Olivia took a white box out of the bag.

Alex took her lunch out of her wife's hand, and sat down on her couch. She opened the box to a pickle, cheese, with a garlic mayo sandwich, "Um, babe what is this?" She ate a fry out of the box while looking at her wife.

"Oh sorry, greek salad or meatball?"

"I'm wearing white."

Olivia handed Alex the right meal, "Jim do you want a sub?" Olivia asked, holding the sandwich. She sat down next to Alex.

"I'm never gonna say no to a sub." He said taking the sub out of her hand.

Olivia took her lunch away from Alex. "Are you really going to eat that?" Alex looked at Liv with the very unusual sandwich.

Olivia looked at her wife, smiled and took a bite out of it. "Sure am. Want a bite?" She taunted Alex.

"Come on Alex, Liv came out of her way to get to you lunch and you are going to give her crap about her choices." Jim tried to help Olivia out as he sat down in his chair.

Alex was staring at Liv, "Yes, If you were committed to someone you know that you can make fun of their terrible eating habits."

Olivia finally looked at Alex after taking another bite, "I'm sorry honey did you say something?"

"I said I love you and your bad eating choices." Alex smiled at her glowing wife stealing another fry.

"Listen there is a bag of chips in that bag back off of my food." Olivia pulled her take out box away from her grasp.

Jim tossed Alex the bag of chips, "Here Al. So Detective Benson, I need your opinion."

"Yeah?"

"If you are dealing with a terminally ill child who killed herself. Would you blame the mother?" He asked her about the case they were arguing about.

"What does the evidence say?"

"Her mother was making her sick with drugs. All her doctors said there was nothing wrong with her." Alex informed, "You have to give her the full story Jim."

"She sounds like the mother help trigged the girl's suicide." Olivia cleared her throat.

"She would take your side."

"She also is the reason why I see grey areas." Alex played with Olivia's ponytail.

"Jim, there are never right answers to things like this." Olivia explained.

"I do hope we are not talking to an SVU detective about a homicide case," A deep southern voice walked into the office.

"I just wanted an outsider's opinion." Jim informed the DA.

"You should always see the grey area that's what makes a good DA." Branch explained to Jim. "Can I have the room?"

"Um, yeah?" Alex was confused.

"We'll be five minutes." He informed Olivia as she walked out of Alex's office.

The two exited out of the room as the boss closed the door and the blinds. "Well then I guess it's important." Olivia sighed out.

"I guess so. Thanks for the sub." Jim tapped her on the shoulder.

Olivia waited patiently for Branch to finish with Alex. "Detective, how are things?" Arthur opened the door.

"Good, are things okay here?"

"You two should talk. When are you two planning on finally having littles?" the southern man asked the cop.

"Oh, umm that's a Cabot question." Olivia was thrown off guard with a boss asking that kind of question.

"Of course. I'll see you later." He walked out of the office.

Olivia walked in the office seeing her wife standing in shock. "Are you okay?" She closed the door.

"Mike is leaving and moving to private practice." Alex explained.

"Okay what does that mean?" Olivia stepped closer to Alex.

Alex held her hands, "Branch wants me to take his spot."

"Bureau Chief?" Alex nodded her head. "Oh my… Alex. This is exciting." She pulled the blonde in for a hug. "I love you so much."

"I love you too. This is unreal." Alex broke the embrace with a smile of ecstasy.

"We need to celebrate."

"It's not official yet."

"Okay so just with the usual crowd."

"Let's do it." Alex kissed Olivia. Olivia deepened the kiss. "Hey...hey… hey. I just got promoted, we can't, here."

Olivia bit her lip as she sat down on her desk. "Yeah you're right."

Alex looked at the brunette needing to play with her hair and stepped in between her legs. "Babe, do you need to talk?"

"No? Why?"

"This morning? Now."

Olivia shook her head, "It's the fertility treatments, it's the hormones." Olivia shrugged her shoulders. Alex looked at Olivia trying to get a read on her. "You pick the restaurant and I will see you when you get home." Olivia kissed Alex's hand to prevent any further touching.

Alex walked in the apartment after a day at the office. "Liv?" She called out as she tossed her keys on the counter.

"In the bathroom." She responded. Alex followed the sound of Olivia's voice as she quickly stripped out of her monkey suit holding a plastic bag. She changed into jeans and a blouse. "Hey." Olivia greeted as she looked at her wife who entered the bathroom.

Alex gave her a kiss on the cheek, "You look lovely." She watched Olivia finishing her hair and make-up.

"Thank you. Did you decide where we are going?" Olivia wanted to know where they were going.

"Tavola," she began to fix her hair. "Does that sound good?"

"I love Italian, but also it's your celebration dinner." Olivia smiled at Alex's promotion to bureau chief.

"You're not going to order something weird again." Alex thought about the food combination.

"That was no big deal, drop it."

"Yeah, or it could be a big deal," Alex cleared her throat. She pulled out a pregnancy test from the bag, "Maybe we can have two things to celebrate tonight?"

"Do we have to? What if it's negative?" Olivia is concerned about failing another test.

"But if it is positive we can celebrate for two things." Alex smiled.

"Okay." Olivia undid her pants to sit on the toilet, "We better not be late."

"We won't be late," She handed Olivia the test.

Olivia was pacing back and forth in the living room. Alex stood in the doorway trying to figure out the right words to say to her wife. "You know whatever happens it will be okay." the blonde moved her way towards the brunette.

"I don't understand why it is so hard to get pregnant." Olivia spoke out.

"Olivia," Alex held Olivia's hand. "This isn't baking cookies, there are a lot of factors involved."

"But four months? There's something wrong with me." Olivia sighed out.

The timer went off. Alex retrieved the test, she looked down at the negative test. She looked at the stressed out Olivia. "Maybe, maybe we can go to the doctors and they can help us. We already have embryos ready, maybe we can use them" Alex tried to help Olivia with a solution.

"Yeah," Olivia sighed out as she grabbed her jacket.

Alex was confused by Olivia's reaction. "That's it?" She followed behind Liv to get her jacket as well.

"Yeah, let's go?" Olivia opened the door.

Alex threw the test in the garbage to walk out of the apartment. "Do you not want to talk about it?" Alex was trying to figure out what is going on through Olivia's head.

"What's there to talk about, we have to set up a doctor's appointment." Olivia informed on the elevator, "and we have to meet our friends." Olivia leaned back on the wall.

Alex stepped in front of Olivia holding her hands. "We are going to have gorgeous babies." Olivia looked into Alex's eyes. "You are going to be a beautiful mother in your maternity clothes. We just have to go about it a different route. It's going to work out. And on a positive side we don't have to talk to my parents about children we can keep them wondering in suspense."

"You haven't told them we're trying, your mother just wants a grandchild so much?" She sighed out a smirk.

"No, we agreed to not tell anyone until we're positive and we're ready to tell others. Including your partner." Alex cocked her brow.

"I haven't told him anything." She quickly defended herself. "He doesn't know everything about me. And don't need his input on this." Alex bit her bottom lip. "What?"

Alex played with Olivia's hair, "We are going to get through anything if we are open and honest. We love each other… right?"

Olivia smirked at Alex, "Of course."

"Say it." Alex commanded tightening her grip.

"I love you Alexandra." There was a pause with Alex nodding at Olivia, "We will make it through this as long as we are open and honest." Alex motioned her finger for Olivia to kiss her wife.
