A/N: OK this is my first shaman king fanfiction ,I've been battling with writing this story since last year but this year I decided to continue and not abandon it,so enjoy. BTW italics means characters are being interviewed and their names are beside it with a column. sorry if some characters are OOC .Everybody is friends with everybody(All beef has been cleared even between Lyserg and Hao).(sort of).I'm also trying to make this like a reality show so I'm putting their titles and connection if it's their first time talking in the story(for convenience)

Chapter 1: Manta's girlfriend
Manta (Best friend of the shaman king): Today i'm finally taking my girlfriend to meet my friends. i met Himiko when i was doing my masters program in south Korea she's an amazing girl,she's beautiful, sweet, funny and so down to earth.i'm sure they're gonna love her.i can't wait till they meet her.
Manta parked his black Toyota Tm near the Funbari inn and exited it and walked to the passengers seat to open the car door for his girlfriend to step out .They both walked to the reception and met Macchi behind the counter .
"Hey Macchi"he greeted the orange haired woman
"Hey manta long time no see. And who might this lovely lady be"she greeted back flashing her signature grin not failing to notice the black haired girl standing beside Manta.
"Macchi this is my girlfriend Himiko,Himiko this is my friend Matilda but we call her Macchi for short" he said introducing the two women to each other to which they just waved and smiled at each other.
"So where are Yoh and the gang?" he asked
"i told them that you just arrived, they'll be out soon enough" she assured him
Macchi(Hanagumi waitress/Nichrome's girfriend): i'm happy Manta's back and with a girlfriend at that. i mean i was like finally dude you have a girlfriend cause i was really starting to wonder when he'd get one. i have Nichrome and everyone has everyone else and i was like are you asexual or something?.
Before you could shout jack Robinson as if on Que said Yoh came out with his friends following suite.
"Manta! good to see you buddy"Yoh shouted pulling his friend in a manly embrace
" I could say the same for you" Manta returned the hug.
"Yo, Manta!"Horohoro greeted flashing a toothy grin
"Hey Horohoro" he greeted the blue haired shaman
"i see you still haven't grown much" a purple haired shaman known as Ren Tao said with a smirk on his face
" Good to see you too Ren"Manta rolled his eyes but still smiled and greeted the Chinese shaman
"Hey manta"
"Hey Lyserg"he responded to the green haired shaman.
"Hey little buddy"
"What's happening ,Man"
"it's been quite a while Manta"
"Hello manta"
"Hi manta!"
"Sup"
"Hey"
"Hey Manta"
"Hello"
"Konbawa,Manta"
Ryu,Chocolove,Faust,Tamao,Pirika,Nichrome,Anna,Jeanne,Mari and Jun all said cheerfully(yes even Anna)
The greetings went on for everyone pretty much the same until a certain long haired shaman came into the room.
"Hey short stuff" a voice called from behind manta but he turned around to see Yoh's identical double.
"Hao" Manta said his name as if it was poison on his lips.
"Hey,hey, that's no way to greet someone you haven't seen in a long time"
"Not when you call me that and don't forget you once tried to kill us"
Even though your authoress(me of course) said that all beef had been cleared,some people were still finding it hard to accept that the ex-fire shaman lived under their roof . And about Lyserg,the best he could do was tolerate his presence in the room but that doesn't mean they were all chummy with each other . He'd never really talk to the pyromaniac except he really needed to or it was a group conversation but still at least there was no tension when the whole gang was together.(that my readers is the farthest this could go)
"Yeah whatever shorty that's all in the past, now mind telling us who your friend over there is"He said referring to Himiko
Everyone's gaze was fixed on the black haired, hazel eyed woman they hadn't noticed was with manta.
" oh that reminds me. Everyone this is my girlfriend Himiko"Manta declared pridefully
"What?!" Everyone and i mean everyone shouted
"I said everyone this is my girlfriend Himiko"Manta repeated thinking his friends didn't hear him.
The room was silent for a while and Manta started to worry, Until.
"Finally" Everyone sighed
"i'm confused" Manta scratched his head in utter confusion
" Do you know how long we've been waiting for you to get a girlfriend?" Yoh tried to clear his best friend's confusion
"Excuse me?" Manta took little offence in what he said
"Sorry man but we really thought you'd never get one" Yoh tried to calm his pissed off friend
" We we're beginning to think you were...um.. well..."Tamao stumbled for the right words to say
"Gay" Horohoro helped her out
"WHAT?!" Manta practically screamed
Himiko was starting to get a little bit uncomfortable
"As weird as it sounds we really all thought that" Lyserg stated
" It's alright i would have thought the same if i were in your shoes but just so you know i'm straight'" Manta finally calmed down and waved it off.
"We pretty much figured that out" Nichrome commented
"Then how come you didn't get one sooner" Hao said to which he earned a smack on the head by Anna and a glare from Mari
" Because i guess i just didn't have the time for one"
" Oh well guess i have to cancel that blind date i set up for you" Ryu said disappointingly.
"You set up a blind date for me?"Manta was totally stupefied
But before Ryu could say anything, someone came downstairs .It was 4-year old Hana Asakura and he didn't seem to pleased .They had all been disturbing the toddler's afternoon nap, you do not want to disturb a toddler having his nap especially if that toddler happens to be Hana Asakura.
"What's going on here"he said,still rubbing his eyes.
"Wow Hana is that you ? my you've grown up" Manta said,quite surprised on how much the toddler had grown so much the last time he saw him ,he was still 2 years old
Looking at who had addressed him,he no longer felt sleepy but immediately ran to glomp his uncle Manta.
"UNCLE MANTA"The small boy hugged the little man(I don't use the word midget because I find it offensive and I'm short myself)
Hana(Shaman king's son):Uncle Manta is Touchan's best friend they've know each other since they were kids. I like uncle Manta because he's nice and let's me do stuff Touchan and Kaachan won't let me do.
"Anyways enough standing around let's show manta and Himiko to their rooms and have some lunch"Anna said sternly with her usual stoic expression
Yoh (Shaman king): i'm happy Manta found the girl of his looks like a really nice girl.I hope she makes Manta happy
After Manta and Himiko went to their separate rooms(they weren't married so they decided not to stay in the same room) and unpacked their stuff then they joined the others for was seated in the dinning room and decent meals were served.
"So how did you two meet?"Jun started the conversation.
"Well you see it's nothing too special" Himiko said
"Actually it's kinda cliche"Manta contributed
"But actually it goes like this"
FLASHBACK
Manta had just finished having his lectures at the university of Seoul and stopped by his favorite fast food place to get lunch,The Big bites diner .He entered the establishment to see a very long Que. it looked like as if everyone was lining up to get on an amusement park ride . The Big bites diner had become a very popular fast food joint and was buzzing with people lately.
"Wow who knew this place would become this popular"Manta said to no one in particular
"Tell me about it"
He looked in front of him to see who it was and his dark brown eyes had captured the most beautiful girl he had ever seen .She had long,straight,black, back- length hair and hazel - colored eyes .She wore a bright yellow sundress and white sandals. Manta could swear that his jaw literally dropped like the characters from one piece. one piece characters sneezed simultaneously. He quickly straightened himself up and fixed his face.
"Do you come here often?" she inquired politely.
"Yeah, almost all the time. This is my favourite joint in the whole city" He replied sheepishly
"what about you?" He proceeded to ask her.
"Not very often but anytime I'm around this place I always drop by" she answered his question
"By the way I'm Himiko Nakamura"
"Manta Oyamada, nice to meet you" The little man drew out his hand for the woman in front of him to which she awkwardly took and shook .(Ha,see what i did there?)
"Well Oyamada-San"
"Just Manta is fine" He interrupted her.
"OK Manta,Do you live around here?"
"Yeah, but I actually study here"
"Really? At which university?" Not hiding the surprise in her voice
"Oh,At the university of Seoul"
"Wow that's a coincidence I study there as well"
"What course?,if I may ask" He was surprised at this coincidence and happy that this girl he couldn't stop staring at was studying at his school. He was as ecstatic as a 16 year old girl being asked out to prom by the hottest guy in school.(A/N : I know it sounds stereotypical but just deal with it).
"Interior design,What about you?" she asked as she proceeded to the counter to take her order as it was her turn already.
"I study Business Management"
"Wow that's really good" she took her tray of food and went to sit at an empty table close by.
"Yeah" Manta proceeded to take his turn to order food and went to(all a bit shyly) join her on her table.
They talked and talked even when they were had no more classes for that day and had a lot of time to talk because Manta's lecturer called in sick. But that meant a whole lot of work load for him and his other peers when he fully recovered .Himiko also didn't have any classes for that day .They chatted until they were sure that they both had to leave which was when the restaurant was about to close for the day(Honestly people these days. Jeez).Anyway, they both exited the building but didn't forget to exchange contacts before couldn't help but smile like an idiot on the way to his apartment that day the two masters students kept contact which each other and of course as they always say, the rest is history.
"AWW, how romantic" Pirika swooned at the encounter that lead the two to start going out with each other.
"i would say," Jeanne agreed with her.
Himiko blushed and Manta rubbed his head sheepishly . By now they had all finish their dinner and Tamao was clearing all the plates assisted by Mari.
"If you ask me, I would say it was rather cheesy" Ren commented
Pirika who was sitting beside him jabbed him in the stomach with her elbow.
"ITAIII!,what was that for woman?" The Chinese shaman screeched in pain for that jab was far too painful even for a strong warrior like him(XD).
"That was for being insensitive" Pirika humphed and turned her face away from her "insensitive" boyfriend.
"Ha!,Serves you right"Horohoro pointed at Ren and mocked him .He always looked for any opportunity to make fun of the Chinese man such as now.
"What was that Ice head" Ren was obviously furious,he wasn't going to sit back and let the Ainu make fun of him.
"What did you call me?, Bastard" Horohoro looked like he was about to explode with rage.
"Exactly what I called you Ice head" Ren retorted staring the Ice shaman right in the eyes.
Before a fight could brake out Anna stepped in.
"Shut up the both of you,If you two fight here,I swear that you'd both be sleeping outside for the next year" The Itako's voice boomed throughout the both shut up Immediately for they knew that she meant business,Anna Kyouyama now know as Anna Asakura did not and by did not I mean never said anything she didn't meant,No sirree. Hell hath no fury than a pissed off Itako
Everyone else in the room just sweat dropped,anime style .No one dared to utter a single word. Soon enough,Anna had to leave to attend to some important stuff with her laid back husband trailing behind her. Himiko whispered to her boyfriend beside her.
"Are those two always like that?"Referring to Ren and Horohoro
"Trust me,you don't know the half of it" The brown haired man obviously knew how those two always bickered even though they were friends but that was just what made their friendship all the more um "Unique" but that wasn't to say that they didn't care about each other .That would be a wrong obviously did but it was only displayed on few occasions like when Ren died or was badly hurt(I really don't remember,I never read the manga and I watched the anime when I was very little so yeah).Horohoro was absolutely distraught when it happened. Although the Ainu man would never admit it,he was glad it was him(Ren) that his little sister was dating for he truly loved the blue haired woman.
Himiko(Manta's girlfriend):I'm glad Manta took me to meet his friends .They actually seem like nice people except the one with the long brown hair,he makes me feel a little uncomfortable .They all may be a bit strange but they mean well.
Soon enough, Night fell on the Funbari onsen,and it was time for everyone to retire to their beds well a few others stayed up to do some things like Ryu,he seemed really captivated by what was on TV something about monster trucks and dirt bikes, idk just typical guy stuff and Chocolove sat beside him equally interested in the TV program. Faust had to look at some of the medical reports he had in his office or whatever the heck he does . And of course some couples were getting busy(I don't need to spare y'all the details. I'm sure you can guess what I'm talking about).But as for our two new lovers,they were both parting ways to go to their rooms but not after giving each other a goodnight's , young love .
"OK Himiko, I guess I'll see you tomorrow" He smiled sweetly at his girfriend.
"Oyasumi,Manta" she returned the smile.
AS She waited for him to finally disappear into his room , she turned around and smirked.
"That idiot doesn't even know what's coming for him" she cackled evilly as she made her way to her room.
Next time on keeping up with the shaman king:
"She did what?" Horohoro looked dumbfounded still not believing what his girlfriend just told him.
"Onii-chan, you got to believe what Tamao and I are telling you"Pirika pleaded
"I'm finding a hard time believing myself" Ren added
"That Brazen Bitch" Hao said angrily as his girfriend was trying to calm him down.
"I never knew that it would come to this,But we have to tell Manta that Himiko can no longer stay here with us" Yoh said never expecting to make such a rash decision
