'I wish to back to that time...

That time when everything was

still normal to me...

My childhood was never like theirs...

so I envy them so much...

to have something I'll never have.'

Chapter 14 ~ The Past

-Al-

We were suppose to have a nice trip on the train for a while, but these two just couldn't take one moment to not go at each other's throats.

"Stop starring at my arm you pervert!"
"Shut up! You still haven't answered my question Cat!"
"I don't have any right to tell you! So just drop it and leave me alone!"
"We're stuck together! It's not like I wanted to be paired with an excuse of a partner!"
"Ugh! You're so annoying! Just because you wasted your time with me and was suppose to go to Liore or whatever its called, doesn't give you the right to annoy me! Beside you're the one who said I have to stay with you since we're both looking for the same thing!"
"I never told you about that! And who said I wanted you to stick with us?!"
"You keep saying 'We should be in Riole by now' or 'This is such a waste of time. The stone is waiting for us in Riole'. I know it's important butbjust sit still till the train stops."

I couldn't do anything but watch as the two infront of me argue with one another. 'No matter how many times I try to stop them those two never stop a 'debate' until one suceeds the other,' I thought in amusement. The two continue to march on ahead of me, still yelling at one another none stop. "Why can't this wait until we arrive you guys...?" I mutter loud enough for the two to hear. Ed scoffs at my suggestion, "Hmph! As if I'd let that feline get away with it! I don't get why she would risk her life in joining the military just because she lost her arm in an accident!"

-Me-

'Don't remind me Ed...' I thought as I silently sulk in my seat after that sudden reminder. There was a moment of silence now. I liked it at first, but then it reminded me of a few things. 'I have nothing to mess with... I have my books but I've read all of them! No ipod or manga to pass my time,' I sigh at the thought, 'so that means I have to stick with books. It's so strange I miss modern technology now!' My eyes ended up looking at the two brothers infront of me. They were just playing cards, the usual thing they would do in boring times like this, something I have always envied. 'How is it that they can play cards so fast after just talking to me?' A sweat drop formed at the sight. 'Hehehe... I guess I still have get used to this world~' I muse happily in my thoughts. Continuing to watxh them boredly, I couldn't help but smirk when Ed bets Al again.

'Sorry Al... You have to figure it out of your own that Ed's cheating,' I thought as I secretly give the poor boy an apologetic look. On cue, Al yells in frustration, "I don't get how you beat my everytime Ed!" By the looks of it they were using food, instead of realy money, as a way of gambling. Al may not have the ability to eat, but he can use it for other means. "Just a pro in the card little bro," smirks the egoistic alchemist, at the same time taking the food in his arms. "Maybe next time I'll give you some lessons on poker when I get the chance." I turn pale thinking, 'Your gonna turn your own kin into a gangster!' Just the thought of Al acting like the backstreet boys at home... made me want to scream! I jump up jabbing my finger at Ed, "You can't teach him how to play poker! That's ment for crooks and idiots who throw their money away on gambling!"

"I don't know what your talking about," he says as he turns his head away, a smirk still plastered on his face. A vein started to pulsate on my cheek. "If that's how you want to play it," I pull out a small bag of money from my pocket, "that let's play poker. This time with real money." "Your on!" Ed accepts, unbeknowist of what lies ahead.

||Two minutes Later||

Oh how I love life! "I hate life!" Ed exclaims. I watch in amusement as the boy infront of me turns red in anger and tries not to have a fit, again. The entire time we've been playing, Ed sat in his seat staring intently at his cards while I just sat bqck and enjoy the feeling of victory every time I look at my own cards.. I won on the first round with a royal flush. "How are you so good at this!?" and now he blows a fuse. Cards flew in the air and, of course, people were staring at us now with disapproved looks. Al started to cheer for me, "Go Cat! You can beat brother!" "Who's side are you on!?" Ed yells. I laugh evilly, "Hohohoho! So you were all talk and no bite!" 'Actually I learned how to use alchemy on cards from Clara,' my thoughts add.

++Flash Back++

I watch intently as Clara holds up three dards in her hand. They were all just normal cards at first, then they were transmuted into a queen, kind and an ace. "Awesome! You've gotta teach me how to do that Clara!" I cheered as I took the cards from her. She laughs at my reaction, "You're almost 15 now Catherine, you should start acting your age now." "Nope!" my sudden out bursts slightly pissed her off there. "I'm suppose to be the 1st youngest alchemist to join the military," I lean back in my chair, "but since Ed was picked first before me. I guess that's what I get for coming late." "Catherine..." Clara whispers, a hint of sympathy in her voice. I got back in position and asked her immediately, "Can you teach me some of your alchemy!?"

++End Of Flash Back++

"Damn it! He trully couldn't understand what was going on. I felt bad for the guy for once so I suggested, "Maybe we should call a draw. The more you keep trying shorty the more that little brain of yours will pop."

Maybe a little sympathy was what I ment. "Oh~! Is Kitty worried about losing?" I could've sworn I heard him purr there. Pissed, I yelled in his face, "I told you before not to call me that! Don't think that I'll be holding back now." "Is this really necessary?" Al asks sheepishly. We both yell at him, "YES!" The game was short though. Right when I was about to pull another stunt on the man a knife suddenly went to my neck. "Make a move or the girl dies," the person besides me warns. I wasn't afraid, heck the only thing that would scare me if- "You do any funny stuff girl and will tell everyone your little secret..." a voice whispers, except it was someone else. I froze at this point now. 'Who the heck are these guys..?' I thought nervously with sweat rolling down the side of my face. At the corner of my eye I could see the handle and it was in contact with my skin.

'Think again bastard,' and in a flash it froze. Jumping back, the stranger jumps back as he tries to get his hand out of the ice. Ed and Al took this chance to attack the strangers behind me. By the time they finished I found out it was actually a GIRL. "Who the hell do you think you are, huh bud?" Ed questions, placing his boot on the side of the face of the one who had the knife. She wasn't really that good if you ask me. It took the brothers a minute to tie her up to their chairs, also she were wearing a mask that covered only half of her face. People had been watching the scene intently since. When neither answered Al had to take a step forward. "I don't want to do this," Al looms over the two menacingly, "but I guess I have no other choice but to use brute force."

"Wait a moment!" one finally yells. We watch as she, surprisingly, free's herself with alchemy. She takes her mask off with ease. I gasp at the sight, "You can't be her- I saved you life!" (Me: Du Du Dun! ) She glares at me saying, "And yet you didn't spare the life of my father. You are nothing but an eye sore to me now, not my saviour." I was taken aback by her words, and the fact that there was a hint of hate in there made it worse. "Look we don't know what your talking about so just leave kitten here alone," that earned Ed an immediate punch on the head. "Why can't you call me something else instead!?" I yell with a smile on my face. Al lifts us up from the ground so we couldn't do any harm. The woman just stares at us will a blank look. Al apologizes, "I'm sorry for this. These two always fight with each other non-stop until one is out of breathe."

Then it caught his attention, "What's your name anyway?" "It's Sara Mcdougal. My silent partner here is my sister Audrey Mcdougal," was her reply. Ed and I stop in the mid part of our arguement. "Mcdougal...?" we repeated.

Me:3...2...1...

"SAY WHAT!?"

Cat:You knew that would happen!?
Me: I'm the writer.
Cat: Touche

"How the hell are you both related to that pyscho!?" me and Ed yell. We glare and warn the other at the same time, "Stop copying me." A vein popped in the back of our heads "Stop it! No you stop it! I'm not copying you, you are!" we both shout at the same time as we point fingers at each other's face. Coincidentally both of us were doing the same thing, again and again. "Stop it!" butts in our captive. Obediantely we did and saw that she was really lost to what's going on. She draws a transmutation circle on the ground in an incredable speed and transmutes a large hole in the ground. As the hole slowly got bigger, the lights flashing every where, Sarah glares at me one last time before jumping in. Audrey follows as well, but doesn't look at me the same way as her sister did. People scream as I try to look for her through the hole. Sadly Sarah and Audrey were able to escape. The train jolts making me fall forward, until Ed pulls me up just before me face touched the rails.

"You have to becareful Cat. Trains on a moutain slope are dangerous on the outside."
"Don't worry Al, I can handle myself just fine. Thanks for the save Ed."
"Hmph! Your lucky I know that kitty doesn't have nine lives."

I punch him automatically for that. Not hard, but enough to warn him. I went back to my seat just to and stare out the window, and that was it. Ed tried his best to pursuade me into playing poker with him for a rematch, which will never happen.

::Few hours Later::

After a very long debate of who's fault it was, we gave in to a tie after Al got us to do something else to keep our fight in lower terms so we wouldn't bother the other passengers anymore. "Two more minutes guys!" Al told us as he holds my pocket watch up to show us. I kept myself from blinking and I watch as tries to do the same and tries to hold himself back from using his hands to keep his eyes wide open. To answer what's going on, Al suggested we just do a staring contest in order to keep us quiet for the rest of the ride. "Ten more seconds!" I couldn't contain it any longer, right when my eye lids were about to close Ed suddenly blinks his eyes shut tight. "Brother... you lost..." Al says in disbelief after what we both just saw. I was so shocked myself that I even forgot to blink again after winning the contest.

"I won... I won! Omigosh I can't believe I actually beat you in something not science related!" I cheer, nearly jumping out of my seat in joy. "Oh shut up! Your beautiful eyes were the ones that distracted me!" Ed points out. I blush in embarassment at what he just said just now, he did just call my eyes beautiful to me, right? "I... um..." I couldn't take it anymore embarassment so I stood up and ran off to find any secluded area there is in this train, leaving a very lost Al and a flustered Ed behind. 'He called my eyes beautiful... the last person who said that was... No stop thinking about that!" my thoughts scream as I tried to forget Ed's in my head. I found myself at the end of the passenger car and standing infront of the back door that led outside for a good view of the train tracks. We were able to get the last car so this is how I ended up getting to the back so quickly.

I open the door only for a large amount of wind to pushes the door wide open, nearly making my fall forward if it wasn't for the railings. I sat o the ground and sighed thinking, 'No one has ever told me my eyes were beautiful... Not since I met that boy... Who am I kidding? It was probably a dream anyway... but I wonder if ny parents even miss me...?'

||9 Years Ago||

I remember... it was a long time ago when my eyes first opened to the world I was forced to live in....

Standing in the cold ran, I watch with glazed eyes as people walk past me, ignoring my existence and continue doing whatever the heck they had to go to. "That poor child... she's been standing there for 2 days straight already..." an old lady gossips to her friend as they took shelter by the shop next to where I was. "I know... maybe she's waiting for someone to come back pick her up..." the other agrees and glances at me with a solemn look. I don't know why I felt like this, but I wanted to shut them up for feeling sorry for me, that I looked like I was abandoned by whoever they think left me behind to rot by myself.

"Her parents must really hate her to leave such a poor child like her in this condition..." I can't stop thinking about what that lady said back then. The only reason I didn't say anything was because of that man, the first who ever talk to me after my endless stand for 2 days straight.

"What's wrong? Waiting for your mom to pick you up from school?" a musculine voice asks me, accompanied by the sound of wet footsteps heading in my direction. I look up to see a man holding up an umbrella above my head, his body now wet from the laclk of his umbrella. He seemed to be in his 20's, married by the looks the fancy ring on his finger. The man bad golden short blonde hair and golden eyes, something you don't see very often in a normal human.

Me: It's not Edward, okay folks?
Cat: Jesus you scared me! I thought Ed went back in time to meet me in my past!

'Normal human?' my thoughts repeat in confusion as I continue to give him a blank hollow stare. "C'mon don't tell me your mute! Or are you just shy?" he jokes as a smile cracks on his face. I can't tell whether or not to agree with the man or just pretend I never heard him at all. I wanted to laugh, but I was somehow afraid of what I would after I laughed at his harmless joke. "I... I..." my voice cracks as I tried to form my first reply to the man. Sadly I was unable to for a single word except 'I' that had only escaped my lips twice, but I still tried to form any word to come out of my throught. "I... am... lost..." Those three little words came out in the open unconsciously. I don't know why I said that, but telling him that man made me feel relieved to say that out in the open. "Hm... I bet your parents are worried about you by now..." the man ponders as he scratches the back of his head.

"My... parents...?" I choke at the word for some reason, tears threateninh to pour out of my eyes. Then it finally hit me. The reason I was out here alone was because... I have no parents.

I was such a crybaby... Who knew that the first memory you'll have after waking up would be that I had no parwnts from that beginning.

I unconsciously lunge my tiny body at the man and wrap my short arms around whatever my body was able to reach from my lack of height. A hand reaches down as rubs the back of my head as words of reassurance flowed through my ears, "Ssssshhhhh... Don't worry it's alright... everything is gonna be okay..." "I don't know who my parents are... I don't know where I am... I don't know what's my name..." I told him as I stared to cry silently against him. I felt his gaze on my head, I didn't care if he felt sorry for me anymore all I wanted was for some to be there for me as these sudden emotions fill up inside me. "Catherine Cairo," he spoke up, making me look up at him finally as cunfuaion crossed my face.

"From now on your name is Catherine N. Cairo."

I wanted thank him for naming me... but I couldn't. After that I passed out then ended up waking up in Alice's home. My first friend.

::2 years later::

I sat silently in my seat as my classmates were called one by one by our teacher for the daily class attendance, which was sort of a nuisance since we only shout 'here! whenever she calls for us. "Catherine Cairo!" the teachers calls out as soon as the previous kid after me sat back down in his seat. "Here..." I said boredly and stood up effortlessly. Kids all around starts to snick, repeating my last name every now and then. I hated my last name, but I never choose it in the first place. "Alright kids settle down! Cate here has a presentation for all of us! And we all know the tradition here, right?" asks the teacher with a plastic smile. 'When did she start watching High-Five or Barney?' I thought as I started at how stupid our teacher was acting. She acted like she's from a tv pretending to be all sweet around the kids, reality sucks once you find out their true colors, especially with this type of person.

"Miss I-" "Oh that's right! You already did it four months ago! Sorry sweetie you just looked so cuuuuttteee in that performance you presented all of us!" she blabbers after rudely interrupting me from what I was about to say. "Tch! Old hag," I grit my teeth as I march towards the door. "Now that's the last straw Cate! You go back to your corner this instant before I call the principal to reprimand you again!" she threatens me as students cheer for her to punish me. "It's Cat! Not Cate! And last time I checked the principal was busy using his mouth on that preschool teacher next door," I yell after losing my finaly nerve. Shocked, the teacher leans onto one of the desks in disbelief while I just walked out of the room casually, ignoring the insults from my classmates.

I don't know why, but this sorta attitude was unusual for me to use, and I like it. Rebellious was never on my list of characteristics, but this has go to stop now. I've been mocked by so many teachers and kids (old & young) that my cool finally broke after what that last teacher just did to me. Without realizing it, I had already wandered out of the school premises and ended up in a unknown area. I didn't care of course, I just wanted to get out before anything else causes me to lose my temper. "Oh yeah! I promised Alice I'd pick her up from school!" I scream in realization and ran for it. (A/N: They went to different schools and Alice is a year younger remember that folks.)

Adults... children... many treated me as an abnormal child in this town. When I was 9 they finally accepted the fact that I will forever be part of this town no matter how many times they tries to break my spirit, I had nowhere else to go even if I did leave. Some that were forced by their parents to treat me like dirt slightly treated me nicely, but others couldn't accept the fact I decided to stay in that shit hole. I thought I was fine... until that fateful day.

Alice and I ran up toward our home eagerly to see who would be the winner of our little race. "Aha! I win Alice!" I announce in triumph. Alice bents down trying to catch her breathe then looks up as I did a short happy dance in front of the brunette. "You cheated Cat! You used you special running shoes to bet me home!" she pouts and glances down at my Nike snickers. We stood there silently for a few seconds, then we started laughing our butts off for no good reason at all just like we always did in awkward moments. "Let's just get inside-" I was interrupted when a loud crash was heard inside the house. "You said that brat would leave soon!" a voice yells in anger, it's Alice's dad. Another, who I think is Alice's mom, yells back but in a reasoning tone, "Only until she's old enough to live by herself! She's too young to even get her own job! Just wait a few more years George please!"

"Marie," George starts, "we barely have enough to support our own child. Of we keep Alice any longer we might have to consider that as our only option if we want Alice to keep on living happily." "No! I won't give her away to that bitch! She doesn't deserve to be raised by a woman like her!" I hear Maria curse for the first time in my entire life after living with her for so long. "Cat... I'm scared..." Alice said quietly as she takes a few steps behind me, holding onto my sleeve in fear. The door fly's open right where we stood, her father ready to storm out until he saw us standing there before him. "George-" Marie stops when she saw us over her husbands stiff shoulder. Alice was already teary eyed at that moment while I just stood there with my bangs covering my eyes, concealing the rage I had behind them.

"Alice... Catherine..." George says in disbelief, blinking a couple of times to check if he wasn't seeing things. I said to the two adults darkly, "To blame someone who has nothing to do with your own misfortune... is unforgivable... Especially if you were the one to keep that person alive after so many years in your own home..." I took one step forward and George stood there at a loss of words, his have scrunched in a displeased look, something I haven't seen since the day I first woke up in their home. "I'll leave if you want," I offered, turning around to make my leave in preparation for any answer them would give me. No matter, I would still choose to leave if it was for the sake of my only friend, and so that I wouldn't be a burden to them anymore now that I knew the truth of what the two really thought of me living in their home.

I took a few hesitant steps, taking one last look at Alive, then walked away as I felt their eyes bore onto the back of my head. 'It was too good to be true... Nobody will ever accept me into their family! Not if i'll only be a burden to anyone who acts so nice to me!" my thoughts cry as a single tear escapes from my right eyes.

Alice's family was having financial problems ever since I came into their lives. They weren't prepared for another member to join into their lives... George, Alice's dad, didn't have a high paying job that could support a member of four, just enough for the three of them to live a long happy life. Me being their brought a huge burden on their shoulders. I was too young to understand the truth about the world, but it came too early for my young mind.

"Hahaha! C'mon babe there's no need to act so shy!"
"No~! Master George stop it!"

Cat: You added a heart!?
me: Why? -3- I didn't do anything wrong there.
Cat: Don't make that stupid face!

I lean against the side of the building as half of my body peeks out from the corner as I took a good look at the scene.

I found out by accident why George constantly lost so much money when I was heading to m y new home. He was spending constantly on prostitution. I tried to keep it to myself when-

Alice cries on her desk right after all our classmates left the classroom for recess, I was the only one left to see it. I walk to her desk as I put my hands in my pocket. "Yo!" I greet as I slap the back of Alice's head in order to fully get her attention. She yelps and hold the back of her head in pain as she looks up at me with small tears in her eyes. 'Did I slap her to hard?' I wonder in my head as I ask the girl jokingly, "Why so glum Usagi? Your parents fought for the first time?" (A/N: They already new a little about anime at that time.) "Yes," she replied quickly. I froze at her answer, my words were unable to express how I felt at that need to tell her the truth about her own father was eating me on the inside by the sight of how depressed she was. "Dad hasn't been coming home lately... I thought it was because he was busy with work so I never said a thing about it to mom... but then she suddenly told me that dad will never be allowed home again..." she grips onto the sleeve of her pink jacket.

I didn't say a word after that. I never thought that it would be that bad if her mother found out what her husband was doing, not like there was much to hide from the start with the way he smelled every time he goes home. 'You have to tell her,' a voice told me in my head. "Listen Alice," I cringe when she looks up at me with teary eyes, "I know the reason why your father's been gone for so long. He- he doesn't care about you guys anymore, he's a slob and a pig who spends his money on- how do I say this...? George just uses his money for his own happiness not for you and Marie." Alice suddenly stand up and looks at me with a furious face. "No! It's Mom and Dad! Not George and Marie! Dad would never do anything like that to me and mom! He said he loves nothing but us alone!" she yells at me, not believing a thing I said.

"I know it's hard-" "You're just jealous cause I have a family and you don't!" she blurts out after interrupting me. I took a step back when she said that, shocked to hear those familiar words come out of her mouth that I never expected her to say. Realizing what she's done, Alice fumbles in her words, "I... you know that..." "Don't worry about it. It's not like we were friends to begin with so I don't really care what you say about me," I said as my bangs covered my eyes. I turn around to make my leave so I wouldn't stay in that same room as that girl anymore, but Alice grabs my hand to stop me from leaving. "Don't leave me Cat! I don't know what came over me... Just please... don't leave me alone.." begs the crying brunette. I pull away saying, "You crossed the line Alice. I've never actually of you as a friend to begin with, but I never thought you would take it that far. I'm sorry if I meddled too much with your family, I won't bother with your family anymore so don't even bother." And then I left.

I no longer cared anymore what Alice believes in anymore. All I knew was that I lost my only true friend that day, but that never stopped her from trying to make up to me for breaking my trust. I didn't care after being constantly bothered for the next few years with her, honestly, I was sorta happy that she never left me along, but my grudge against her never left my heart until that day on my birthday when they... died... I know they were turned into the stone. But the way they looked to me was that they were dying, and they will never go back to their bodies again.

::A month later::

A kite lands in front of me as I sat under a nice shady tree, hiding as best as I could away from any kid my age or older. "Hey kid!" I hear a boy shout ahead. I lift my head up timidly as he runs up to me. I was sorta shocked at the fact someone actually called me for the first time without mocking me or call me whatever insult they could think of. He stops in front of me and bends down a bit, holding his hand up as he tries to catch his breathe. Finally after a long few minutes of panting, he looks up to me with the cheekiest smile I've ever seen my whole life. 'Maybe it's because nobody has ever smiled to me like that before besides Alice- No don't think about that! She betrayed,' my thoughts answer my own confusion. "You wanna play? I'm just waiting here until my mom comes back to pick me up," he tells me.

I end up looking down at my feet at shyly, it's sorta new to me since someone new to me actually talked to me for the first time, and he's not even getting paid for it. "My name's_! What's yours?" he asks me with an extended hand. I hesitantly took it saying, "Cat..." "Nice to meet you Cat! Let's play with the kite I made! I'll let you try it out first!" he offers, shaking the handle in my hands. I look at it unsure on what to do with the foreign object. "What's wrong?" _ asks me after noticing how silent I was. I gave him a blank face answering, "I don't know how to use a kite." He laughs at me for a few seconds until he then realizes I was telling the truth. "Well I'll teach you," and that when _ suddenly takes my hand in his. He stares at me for a moment, suddenly turns red, and mutters silently, "Your eyes are beautiful..." _ then starts to drag me away after song that to me, not giving me a chance to react.

While dragging me away, I look back at the spot I was previously in and back at the back of the boy's head as he drags me away, a strange feeling bubbling up inside me as I continued to stare at him. He stops, turns to face me, smiles at me likes an idiot, and then says, "Let's play Kitty!"

::Present::

I snap out of that memory as soon as Kitty came out in the open in my head. The memory was a little fuzzy to me, but it heard those finally words perfectly and I know what that boy called me that day, Kitty. "God... this isn't right... my memories are getting screwy... but how come... I can't remember those two clearly..." I mutter in confusion as I ran my fake hand through my hair. I then took it out and extended it up to the sky, making it look like I was reaching for the sun. I removed my glove so that I could fully see it without the glove semi covering it, I did it only so that I could no longer feel the lies I've been covering up. "So you do have automail," a voice spoke up. I quickly drew my sword out and spun around to see whoever it was that wanted to jump my. But when the sound of clashing metal came to my ears I knew only one person, Edward Elric.

He gives me a pissed off look saying, "What the hell was that for!? I just came out here worried about you when you never came back after an hour!" 'I was gone for an hour?' I thought surprised as I yell at him, "It's your fault for suddenly popping up behind my back! After what Isaac's kids tried to do to me of course I would me cautious now! Next time just say 'Hey Cat!' or 'Sup! Cat how's it going?' at least so I won't cut you up by accident!" I pop myself on the metal floor and allowed my feet to hang out of the metal rails, ignoring the fact I just left Ed thereby himself. I heard a few footsteps, then I felt a sudden presence sit beside me and follow my actions as well. "You know... I wasn't lying that you have beautiful eyes," he says bashfully, turning his head away so I wouldn't see his face. I felt a tiny bit of heat rush through my cheeks, but I just ignored it saying, "I know that. I just never thought you'd actually say something like that to me.

"Well I did say I would be nicer you!"
"Since when?"
"Since I apologized to you!"
"So you do admit that I'm better than you now?"
"Hell no! Besides your alchemy still needs some improvement in it!"
"Like your one to talk midget."
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A RUN SO TINY HE COULD ONLY BE SEEN WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS, YOU DAMN MIDGET!"
"YOU, YOU TINY ANT
"Who are you calling a little bug who gets picked up by a sparrow and gets eaten by it?!"

Unconsciously though, I ended up holding his automail hand with my own, I don't even know why I even decided to do that in the frst place. But after that sudden memory, I couldn't help feel a lot more attached to the boy than I wanted to from the start. Ed didn't notice this since he was too busy arguing with me and couldn't feel a thing from his artificial arm.

::9 Hours Late::
-Normal-

With no other choice, Al follows the path Ed took after forcing his brother to go after Cat, who was seriously flustered at the turn of events, and try to make her come back inside. But was he saw wasn't the usual bickering duo, they sat together holding hands. Al spots Cat holding a glove in one hand and the other revealing her automail hand that was holding onto Ed's. Secretly, he picked up the two carefully so he wouldn't wake them up and brought them inside as the sky slowly started to darken to nighttime. By the time the armored boy place the two down Cat already woke up from all the noise his body was making. "Oh? Are you up Al?" she asks groggily as she rubs one eye. "Yeah, I just brought oyu and brother in just now so you guys could sleep propely," he tells her. "Oh... I could stay up with you if you want soome company," Cat says even though her eyes were only half open.

"Don't worry I'm used to it by now," and that was something he wished won't become a daily thing. "You know Al... Ed still..." she trails in her sentence before passing out and leans against Ed's shoulder. Al chuckles at this, takes the girls hat off and sets it next to her, then continues to watch the two as they sleep soundly next to one another.

To Be Continued

This was ment to be released on Valentine's Day, but a huge parade came by and my family went out to watch it. By the time we got back it was already late and I was too sleepy to put it up! Since it's late no character's will be talking today (mind you this was posted around 1 in the morning) so I hope you enjoy this EdxOC moment! So this is practically about how Cat's past was likeas a child. I felt I had to put this since Ed has a flashback of his childhood in this episode in the brother hood serious (episode 2 people!) so I wanted you all to see how her past was like before anyone starts guessing. Oh! And here's the pic when she was a child!
