"No he isn't the guy." Olivia walked out of the integration room after she and Elliot sweated a guy for a good ten hours.
"Olivia are you kidding, he fits the profile." Elliot grabs a cup of coffee.
"A six tall green eyed man with blonde hair." Olivia listed off the profile of the perp they were looking for. "Who hits up gay bars that's a pretty big scope. Look he was pretty straight forward with all the questions."
"Except for the albi. You're off."
"And you don't know how to trust your gut anymore." Olivia snapped. "Why don't you take a nap and clear your head." She sassed out to her partner who had a lack of sleep.
"Or maybe both of you just need a cup of coffee. And a donut. Olivia, talk to your wife." Cragen walked into the precinct with Alex.
Olivia turned around to see her wife standing with donuts and drinks. "Am I interrupting?" Alex questioned.
Olivia stepped to her wife. "Never, what are you doing here?" Olivia questioned Alex.
Alex quickly handed Elliot his coffee, "Here, this certainly beats the hell out of that coffee." She looked at her tired wife. "I'm here because I assume you need a-pick-me up." Alex played with Olivia's hair. "Are you okay? When are you getting some sleep?" Alex was worried about Olivia. She didn't like Liv pulling all nighters while being with child. Alex caressed her cheek.
Olivia rolled her eyes. The gentle touch of Alex could always get Olivia melt, "I'm fine." She sighed out sitting on her desk.
She stepped in between Olivia's legs. "You've been working for thirty six hours. And you don't look fine." Alex stated the obvious.
Elliot took the dozen donuts out of Alex's hands. "How do I look?" Elliot asked, sitting down at his desk to enjoy his breakfast.
Alex looked at Elliot, "You look gorgeous as always." She held Olivia's hand as they fell into Olivia's lap to get a soft touch of Olivia's bump. "Why don't you tell Cragen to give you at least four hours in the crib?" Alex suggested about the well being for her wife and child.
Elliot watched the soft interactions of the couple as he wanted to join in the conversation. "Liv if you need to crash. I can cover you. I mean, if it means so much to your wife. She's right, you do look like hell and refused coffee all day." He helped the blonde in an argument.
Olivia didn't like feeling pressured of not pulling her weight while they had a guy in question. She did need to listen to her wife and her body. "Fine." she kissed Alex. She needed the kiss more than sleep. She slid off the desk. "Thank you." She looked at her partner. "Have a good day at work." She broke the embrace as she headed to the crib.
"Benson, Stabler. Your perp struck again. Meet your Vic at Bellevue now." Cragen yelled out of the doorway of his office.
"See you were wrong you owe twenty bucks," Olivia rolled her eyes.
"Sorry Alex we tried." Elliot told the blonde, "but I appreciate the coffee."
The three made their way to the elevator. Olivia rested her head on Alex's shoulder on the ride down, "Thank you for visiting."
"No problem." Their hands were intertwined.
Elliot could see the change in behavior of his partner, and never witnessed Alex acting like an over concern wife with a simple all nighter before. "Okay who's going to spill the beans first?" Elliot questioned the two.
"What are you talking about?" Olivia looked at the man standing next to them.
"I know that this isn't how you two have ever treated an all nighter before… We're usually tired and you down caffeine more than me." He turned to the ladies. "And you barely call and you make a special trip before work." He stated the obvious. "Your appetite has been off."
Olivia lifted her head to her partner. "El…"
"What are you saying?" Alex interrupted Olivia to see if the three in the elevator are all on the same page.
"I'm saying. I know the signs and I know my partner just as much as you." Elliot looked at the blonde.
Alex and Olivia looked at each other for a brief moment. Alex gave Liv a stern look causing Olivia to roll her eyes, "I'm pregnant." She looked at her partner.
Elliot smiled at the news. "It's about time you told me." He hugged the two.
"When did you find out?" Alex wanted to brag to Liv about being right.
"When Olivia gave me a BS story on how she swore off coffee and that pickle, mayo, cheese sandwich, that just screams pregnant." Elliot smirked.
"See I told you that was gross."
They all walked off the elevator, "El we're trying to keep it quiet." Olivia informed him.
"Got it." The duo started walking towards their car.
Alex grabbed Olivia's hand. "Olivia." She used her full name.
"When you get home tonight I will be in bed I promise." She kissed Alex as they walked out of the precinct.
Olivia and Elliot walked into a hospital to get information on a victim. The male victim excused Liv out of the room. Rebecca Hendrix was the one to catch the victim, she gave Olivia the horrific details of the attack.
"So this is the fifth victim in the past two weeks." Olivia informed her. "He's escalating."
"You'll get him." Rebecca stated as she walked with Olivia to the desk to collect the evidence. "Are you okay? You're looking a little pale."
"Yeah," Olivia deeply exhaled. "Cragen has us pulling an all nighter to get this guy." Olivia shook her head to clear the black spots from her vision. "So, Elliot told Alex that you are coming by this weekend?"
"Yeah it could be fun. She seems like a great woman."
Olivia softly smiled as she thought about Alex, "She is the best. I am so lucky she walked into my life." She began to fill out the log.
"How long have you two been together."
"Five years. Married three. What about you?" Olivia smiled, taking a deep breath as the room started spinning.
"Olivia? Are you sure you're okay?" Rebecca's hand held Olivia's shoulder.
"Yeah," Olivia held her stomach, "No. I need to sit down."
Rebecca waved to a nurse for a wheelchair, "Let's get you a bed." Olivia passed out in the chair.
Alex rushed into Bellevue. She saw Elliot sitting in the hallway, "What Happen." Alex calmly but in a stern tone asked Olivia's partner.
"High blood pressure." Rebecca came in looking at Olivia's file. "And her lack of sleep caused her to collapse."
"She's pregnant! How's the baby?" Alex's voice trembled with the thought of something happening to Olivia and the baby.
"They are both doing fine." Rebecca smiled, "She is in good hands trust me."
"Okay I want to see her." Alex demanded.
"Of course." Rebecca walked with Alex and Elliot to Olivia's room. "Olivia lucky to have you." She opened the door.
Alex saw her wife resting on the bed, "I know." She didn't have time to think about being polite.
"Baby you're not supposed to be here." Olivia whined out. "You're supposed to be at work, what's Branch going to say?"
Alex quickly grabbed the chair to sit next to her. "It doesn't matter." She rested her forehead on Olivia's forehead as she caressed her hair. "Why do you have to be so stubborn?"
"How's the baby?" Olivia and Alex placed their hands on the bump. Olivia looked at Rebecca.
"You two are doing just fine, you just need rest. No sleep can raise your blood pressure and that could be dangerous with your age." Rebecca explained. "Do you want to see your baby?"
Olivia and Alex nodded to Rebecca. "You know you have to tell Cragen." Alex commanded her wife.
"Yes, time for me to ride a desk. Sorry Elliot." Olivia looked to her partner, "And thank you for calling Alex."
"All that matters is that you and the baby are healthy. I also don't need Cabot over here breathing down my neck." Elliot smiled knowing the pressure is off of him.
Alex rolled her eyes at the man in the room. Rebecca slid closer to Olivia with the ultrasound machine. Olivia adjusted her position as Rebecca adjusted Liv's shirt. "Alright here you are."
"Oh my." Alex's heart melted as she could finally see a formed head on the screen.
"Aww look at Joey." Olivia smirked knowing Alex wouldn't like that name.
"No."
"Well he's a little roo in my pouch." She smiled to her wife, "I'm sorry I was being stubborn and acting like nothing was wrong like usual. I have to get used to it." She tightened her grip as she was holding back her tears.
Alex didn't want Olivia to be vulnerable in front of Rebecca, when she wasn't usually vulnerable in front of anyone "Hey can you two give us a moment."
"Yeah"
"I need to call Kathy." The two left the couple alone.
Alex quickly jumped on to the bed next to her wife. Olivia lunged into a hug. "I'm so sorry. I should have listened to you." Olivia's voice shook and her tears escaped.
"Hey, hey, it's okay you two are okay." Alex broke the embrace to wipe Olivia's tears.
"It's not okay, me not knowing how to overworked caused me to end up here."
"Hey, calm down. Remember high blood pressure." Alex softly reminded Olivia. "And you need to sleep might be setting your emotions off. Relax." Alex moved her body to lay down on the bed. Alex pulled Olivia down to rest Liv's head on her shoulder. "Shh." Alex calmly soothed her tired wife. She ran her fingers up and down Olivia's back as she drifted off into dreamland.
I hope you like
