A/N: Sorry for the very late update(i seem to be apologizing a lot huh?) i had serious writer's block plus i was yet again lazy. i must be Yoh's long lost triplet or something XD. Anyway i noticed that i only got one review for my last chapter, which probably means that it wasn't read or something. BTW, i'm so excited about the news of the shaman king remake.i heard it's following the manga so it's probably going to be more detailed and somewhat PG-13 -ish Either way i'm still going to write whether you review this story or not( v_v). I do advice that you favorite and follow this story so you'll know when i update next. I'd like to thank God and my friend(Biobabe*throws flowers to Biobabe*) for giving me the encouragement to continue this fic,i was almost about to give up . without much to say let's move on shall we.

Chapter 4: A strong resolve
The browned haired little man folded a shirt and put it in the large travel bag. He had a blank look on his face and didn't address the person who walked into his room.
"what're you doing Manta?" Himiko asked with a slight frown
"Packing my stuff"He replied not taking his eyes off what he was doing.
"why?"she walked over to the bed and sat down.
"Because,i can't stay here anymore and neither can you,in fact you should be packing as well"He turned to look at her with his eyebrows slightly furrowed
"But i don't understand,i thought you wanted us to stay here"
Manta: Of course i didn't want us to stay here. i just said that cause i didn't want to upset Himiko. My friends have already crossed a line by falsely accusing my girfriend. i don't want to take anymore chances.
Producer: Do you think this is a hasty decision?
Manta: No i don't think it's a hasty decision. it's for the best
"Look Himiko,i love you but my friends can't see that and if they don't want us to be happy together then i don't see a point of us staying where we're not wanted"
"OK Manta i understand" she sighed,putting on an artificial look of sadness.
"Come on babe,it's gonna be OK"He put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a comforting look.
"If you say so"she gave a small smile.
"Glad you understand"He grinned"now come on,you should go start packing "
"well...OK"
producer: Can you explain to me exactly what you're playing at
Himiko: I think i have a right not to answer that question*stands up and leaves*
After 30 minutes, the young couple was done packing and were descending the stairs . They met Yoh,Lyserg and Jeanne downstairs. They appeared to be having a conversation before they spotted the couple.
"Uhmm,where're you going?"Yoh asked confused
Lyserg and Jeanne also shared the brunette's confused look and directed their gaze to their small friend.
"Himiko and I are leaving"Manta replied with a straight face
"But why?"Jeanne asked worriedly.
"Don't pretend like you don't know"Manta said coldly
"what're you talki-"Lyserg was about to say but was cut off(A/N: sheesh,people really like cutting Lyserg off don't they . T_T)
"Save it. All of on Himiko" Manta took Himiko by the hand and led her to the door.
" Manta wait please, i need to talk to you" Yoh called out to him
""What?"He snapped
"Please can we just talk ,even if it's for a minute,please"He pleaded
"Ugh,fine"The little man rolled his eyes
The two men walked to a corridor close by to engage in a probably not so friendly chat. Jeanne and Lyserg just looked on worriedly but Himiko smirked at this.
"I'm sure you're enjoying this"Lyserg sneered
"You don't even know the half of it" she chuckled
"What do you plan to gain from all this?" Jeanne glared at the hazel eyed woman
"If I told you ,your pea-sized brains wouldn't be able to there's no changing his mind anyway'' she smirked.
"You little'' Lyserg growled
"Lyserg. Leave 's not worth it"Jeanne stopped her boyfriend and watched as the raven haired woman wondered off somewhere.
Meanwhile,Manta was pacing around the corridor frantically and Yoh was trying to get him to stay put so they could have a reasonable discussion.
"Manta please listen,I just-"
"Spill it Asakura,i don't have all the time in the world"He Hissed
Yoh winced at the tone his short friend just used but nevertheless he tried his best to shrug it off and get straight to the point.
"OK'' he sighed ''look dude i know we got off on the wrong foot with the whole accusation thing yesterday and i understand if you don't believe us''
"And?"Manta rose an eyebrow
"Please Manta,Just give us some time to prove to you that she's not who you think she is"
"And what if you don't?''
"You can leave,no one's gonna stop you"
"How much time do you want?''He said staring at a painting
"Umm...Two weeks"He said after some thought.''yeah that's right two weeks"
" Two weeks and that's it Yoh or else i'm leaving this Inn for good" Manta said sternly not letting his voice weaver
"Thank you Manta,i promise we won't let you down"Yoh grinned widely
"whatever"Manta said nonchalantly and left the corridor.
Yoh: Manta's my best friend ,i can't let something as stupid as this tear our friendship apart.i don't think i'd forgive myself if it did.
He entered the living room and walked up to his raven haired girlfriend.
"Change of plans babe,we're not leaving ...yet"He emphasized the "yet"
"What happened?"She faked her concern.
Lyserg and Jeanne scoffed at the hazel -eyed woman's terrible acting.
"I'll explain upstairs ,let's go" He dragged her hand and the couple left the room.
"Well that happened"Yoh suddenly entered the room
"Yoh,what did you tell him?''Lyserg exhaled
"well i told him to give us two weeks to prove that Himiko is up to no good''
''What?!'' Lyserg exclaimed
Jeanne just sighed and rubbed her temples. The shaman king seemed confused by the pair's reactions and did not understand the situation.
"what?isn't that enough"
"it's not that Yoh,we don't know for sure if we'd be able to find anything in that amount of time."Lyserg replied
"But you're a detective Lyserg,this shouldn't be a problem for you''
''I'm a detective not a magician"Lyserg muttered ."For all we know it might take several weeks or months to find anything''He continued much louder this time
"wait can't we video tape Himiko showing her true colors"Jeanne spoke up suddenly
"Huh?"Yoh and Lyserg turned to face the silver haired woman
"i mean we can secretly record her when she's acting up"she expatiated her point.
"That's a start but it's not going to be easy"The green haired man replied
"what do you mean?''Jeanne had a genuine look of confusion on her face.
"yeah Lyserg what do you mean?''The brown haired shaman king was equally lost(JUST LIKE THE SONG, XD,you know the Tove lo song,*Gets beaten up by annoyed readers* ITAIIIIIII,OK I'll stop now)
"Look at it this way,even if we do record her blowing her cover,what if she lies to Manta about it or something happens to the recording?''
"Hmm,i didn't think of it that way" Yoh rubbed his chin
"You're right "Jeanne sighed
"i think we should dive deep into this situation,find out who she really is and what her motives are" The English man stated
"So the recording is a no then?''Yoh cocked his head to the side
"It's not a no,we just need more than that"
"Like a back up?"Jeanne piped up innocently
"That's right love''Lyserg smiled warmly at his significant other
"That's great !,then we should totally tell everyone"Yoh pumped his fist in the air
"Where is everyone ,anyway"Lyserg asked curiously
"Well,I know Anna's helping Hana with his summer assignments upstairs, Tamao and Pirika went shopping for lunch,Mari and Hao are in the garden,Ryu went to see his gang,Nichrome and Macchi are out on a date,Ren had to meet up with a client in town , Chocholove went to do a comedy act in that orphanage close by and Horo followed him for support" Yoh said it all at a go.
Jeanne and Lyserg looked at the brunette blankly,Yoh just scratched his head and shrugged.
''well,i guess i can start by telling Anna,Ja ne(see you)"Yoh waved at the pair and headed to spread the news to his wife.
Lyserg turned to glance at his silver haired girlfriend,she looked like she wanted to say something but was hesitant about it.
"What's wrong Jeanne'' Lyserg frowned at the French woman
" So how exactly are we going to carry this out?" Jeanne asked worriedly
" I don't know love but we have to do something" Lyserg stated seriously
Jeanne just sighed
"I know we do but what if we don't find evidence"
"Don't worry Jeanne,somehow we would,i am a detective after all"He said reassuringly
"well you did say you're not a magician"
Lyserg : i did say i'm not a magician but it's my job as a detective to handle situations like this,so i'm basically used to it.i'll do anything possible to get that woman out of here,to be honest.
"Love,I've dealt with really clever,renowned criminals in the agency,how hard could a simple woman be?''
"we don't know if she's not a criminal''
"i just hope she's not''Lyserg shivered at the taught
"i won't be surprised"Jeanne muttered bitterly
"What?''Lyserg chuckled
"Don't get me started on that,come let's go do something other than standing here"The Iron maiden dragged the green haired dowser by the hand
"Yeah,you're right" He smiled allowing himself to be lead down the hallway
Next time on keeping up with the shaman king
"So that's the plan then?''Horohoro asked
"We need to get them out of the house to make this work"Ren stated matter-of-factly
"What if this doesn't work?'' Pirika nervously asked.
"It has to work,if there's somewhere we might find evidence then it's in that location" Lyserg said with determination in his voice.
Drum rollllll
what exactly is the plan? where is this location Lyserg is talking about?will they finally find this *bleep* evidence and gain some closure?when will the authoress stop asking dumb questions?. Find out on the next episode of KUWTSK .
A/N:There you have it folks the fourth chapter,sorry nothing eventful happened here and sorry the chapter was very short but as i said i wanted to plan them getting the justice they deserve and they'd be able to find out who that woman really is( jeez,she's my oc and i hate her). I promise the next chapter will be much more eventful,longer and interesting(hopefully).y'all should really follow the story so you'd at least be notified when the next chappie gets released .
