Chapter 15 ~ Liore or Riole?

-?-

Far in the distance of Liore, I watch as the sun slowly rises to the sky and light up the cool night air. "Its time..." I mutter. I stood up from where I sat, along with my hooded partner on my right side. "What's the matter?" I ask, curious at how the person was acting. I sigh, scratching the back of my head, unsure what to do next to earn this persons trust. "Don't worry. I'm only gonna act like that again after I take you to that place. We're here only for you to see what has happened since the last event 3 years ago," was all I could say in as a way of reassurance.

-Me-

I really shouldn't taken the bet... "Pant... pant... I hate you Elric... I can't believe I ever had a crush on you..." I tried my best to stay on my feet, but the heat was too much for me to take. I don't even know why I said that at all! The sun was too much for my body, especially the heat, and the worst part was that I had to walk in this stupid sand with only a hat and a long coat for cover. "I hate you so much Edward Elric... You just left me behind in a train without making any effort to wake me up! God if only I was an expert in alchemy, which I am not, I could transmute a long ice path so I could skate my way to Liore- Riole... well whatever the place is called," and now I'm talking to myself.

Times like this make me talk to myself in horrible situations, and this is one of those times. "I can't take it anymore!" I scream at the top of my lungs. 'This may seem like a copyright, but I'm going to do what Al did in the movie!' With everything pictured in my head, I clapped my hands and performed alchemy onto the same. A giant well spout out from the ground and water came out of it as well, something that shouldn't be happening in the first place if I want to make sure I wasn't copying a certain young alchemist. 'Copying the original? Smooth move Cat...' a voice echoes in my head.

I sighed and muttered to myself as the water continuously rains on me, "I had no choice... I'm thirsty so deal with it..." Now I'm talking to myself, which is weird, and the next thing that might happen is that I might end up hallucinating. In the distance, there seemed to be a figure of a building, but that couldn't be possible. I'm supposed to be there until the end of the day! I rubbed my eyes a bit, trying to make sure I'm not seeing things. SO I did what all people do in the desert... RUN AND SCREAM MY HEAD OFF! "I'm going to live! Ed better not have kicked Cornello's ass yet!" and off I went. Your probably wondering what happened to me and how I got here. Well, it all started-

\\Earlier this Morning/

"...at...ath...Cat...Catherine... Catherine! Please wake up already! The train is about to leave any moment now we need you to wake up so we can get off to Liore!" I hear a familiar voice plead accompanied with my body being shake all over. I wanted to open my eyes, I really do, but there was something in my body that kept my eyes from obeying my every command. "Leave her alone Al! She'll wake up at the next stop, and by the time Kitty here wakes we would've already found the stone as soon as she catches up with us," I hear Ed's voice, except the seemed a little distant from where I was. "But-" Al had no time to finish his sentence the train's whistle blasted our ears, enough to make my eyes crack open by just a little so I could see the what the two were doing.

I blinked a few times as they step out of the train bit by bit, only when my eyes completely opened up for real was when I found myself sitting alone train with no one sitting beside or in front of me for the first time. I jumped off my seat as I felt a large jolted shake the entire train, ran to the window to see nothing but a vast desert in view and the city of Liore (or Riole) disappearing into the distance. "Waaaah! I can't believe they didn't wake me up!" I cry out loud as I tore my face away from the window. I eventually did find a way to get out of the train, the problem is I have to jump out in order to leave to catch up to the boys. I pull the door by force and almost fell back from the strong blast of wind that hit my body, but I got back on my feet as I prepared to make the biggest leap of my life.

"Ed... If I die I'll make sure to haunt you for life..." I mutter to myself. My body leans forward, then I jumped out. My body crashes onto the sand floor and rolled a little away from the train as it continues to move on the rails. When I stopped rolling my head was inches from the train as it followed the path of the rails, after the train was far from where I lay I just stared up at the cloudless blue sky with wide eyes, the familiar feeling of 'my life flashing before my eyes' sweep acroos my face after the rumbling that came from the train subside. "I just jumped out of a train... holy shit..." I breathe still trying to take in what just happened to me moments ago. I sat up brushing the sand off my shoulders then stared at the direction of where the train had disappeared to, and then to the opposite end of the tracks, where in the distance was the city I was meant to stop at.

"I guess there's no other choice but to walk across this death trap..." I sighed at the very thought of how far I had to walk just to get to one damn city.

\\Now/

I stammer my way through the town, trying my best to keep my balance and not collapse from exhaustion.

"To you, Children of God, who live on this earth, pray and believe and you shall be saved. The Sun God Sun eto shines light upon to show you the way.

The sound of his voice made me wanna scream, 'Shut up you bald old man!' but that would just cause problems since I'm surrounded by so many religious people. "Where in the world did you get that idea!?" a familiar voice exclaims. Was that- "Edward whatever-your-middle-name-is Elric! I will kill you for tricking me like that!" I scream at the top of my lungs. I transmute the juice in his cup into a spike aiming for his forehead as best as I could from this distance. Caught off guard Ed falls backward and lands on the ground hard.

"Ow...Is that the thanks I get for sparing you from boredom!?"
"Sparing me!? I almost died from heat stroke!"
"Your a water alchemist! You can make water out of nothing!"
"Moron! Only if it was humid! The air's too dry out there to even make a measly single drop!"

During our argument we got so close to each other that our foreheads were touching, again. I swear this is like our usual thing now. "Now now guys we both just got here so there's no point in fighting," the 'peace keeper' says. We turn away from each other with our arms crossed, letting a 'hmph!' escape from our mouths. Ed goes back to drinking his juice as I sat down on the stool beside his. Not long after his radio start to act up. "Is that normal?" I ask out by accident. The bartender raises an eyebrow in confusion and points out, "All radio's are like that. That's how it is when an intermission is still continuing." I mouthed an 'oh' at this and continue stare in a random direction. 'It's not my fault I'm still not used to ancient tech...' I thought as I secretly pout to the side.

Al asks just to break the tension, "What do you want drink Cat?" "Soda!" I blurt out without thinking. Thanks to the heat I can't think properly! I only realised my mistake when the three repeated what I just ordered, "Soda?" "I mean juice! Orange juice!" I correct waving my hands in front of me while thinking this with a sweat drop, 'I am so screwed! After making sure not to do or say anything stupid, I just had to do it again in front of the wrong people!' I felt like I wss getting smaller as their eyes bore into me, mainly a certain partner if mine. The old bartender just had to say this, "Are the two some sorta strange couple?" I anime fall the the side from shock as Ed drops his cup, after successfully melting it, onto the counter "Do we look like a couple pops?" Ed retorts as he slams his hand down in anger. I for one didn't take it as well as he did, and I'm serious about this.

It's like almost 5th time I almost heard that question about my relationship to the smart ass beside me. I remark in sarcasm, "Anything else old man? Cause I'd love to hear a little more of your why you said that just now." My ticked off manner showed practically exactly how I was feeling. "We don't really see travelers all the time," the bartender states, still wiping some cups clean. "Really? I haven't noticed at all! Maybe it's because-!" Before I could finish what was saying Ed immediately places his hand on my mouth, giving me a face that said, 'Shut the hell up.' Ed took his hand off my mouth after noting my silence, then gets up from his seat.

"Thanks for the meal," he says as he jumps down to the ground. Al and I followed until Al's head accidentally hits the ceiling above his head, causing the radio to get knocked over and fall to the ground in pieces. "Hey watch it!" the old man screams. Ed reassures with a big smile of his face, "Sorry about that! We'll fix it pops!" "Fix it...?" he repeats. I could tell he wasn't so sure of what we were doing. We watch as Al draws the transmutation around the broken radio. "Here I go!" and with that Al stands up with his hands above the circle and transmutes the radio in a bright light. The smoke cleared and the radio was back to normal. "So?" Ed asks, sparkles floating around his head. I finish his question, "How's that?"

"Now that's quite a surprise. You're able to perform miracles, as well?" the old man asks us in amazement. I face palm after remembering this would happen, and also at the stupidity of how this had to become like this. "What are you talking about...?" I hear the boy beside me as with his shoulder slumped forward. "We're alchemists sir," Al points in. That was all they needed to hear as an explanation. Everyone around us awe's in amazement. One man states, "That's the first the first I've seen anything like that." 'And in three... two...' my finger cues as Ed crosses his arms and lifts his chin up proudly.

"Never heard of us before? We're the Elric brothers," Ed says proudly and smirks. A vein pops at this and I add, "And I'm Catherine Cairo. Ed's partner." "Elric? Cairo?" Of course the old man doesn't know! Then suddenly one man pops out saying, "Yeah I've heard of you." And then another, "The Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric!" I sweat drop as I watch everyone starts to swarm around Al, while Ed stands their obliviously with eyes closed abd his mouth open in a smile, proud at all the comments about how great he was as a statr alchemist. 'Should I tell him...?' I thought to myself at the sight. His ego maybe what get's him into things like this, but he seriously needs to know that the truth! "Um... Ed... Their not talking about you..." I finally told him, poking Ed on the shoulder.

"So your that rumored genius alchemist."
"Ah, I get it! Your other name is 'Fullmetal' because of this suit!"

Al corrects them in a panicked voice, "No...! You have the wrong person... I'm the younger brother, Alphonse Elric." Everything goes silent at this point. As soon as they all turned their attention to Ed with dumbstruck looks, I couldn't help but laugh at this all over again. It got even worse when someone blurts out, "Huh? You mean that shrimp over there?" Ed's face grew dark immediately. "Who are you calling a pea-sized runt!?" he screams as he starts attacking the poor citizens. I clutch my stomach from all the comedy replay out right before me.

"You must be the famous Mercury alchemist!" a women says, semi-squealing in my ear. I look at her with a tilted head and answer, "Yeah that's me." Another comes up, I think she's a house wife, compliments me with sparkles in her eyes, "I have always wanted to meet you in person! My daughter absolutely adores you!" "We are so proud that there is finally a female alchemist in the military!" More came swarming around me in a matter of time. Comically you can say they look like ants while I was trying to get out with only one hand sticking up in the air. But this is not funny at all! "Wait! I'm claustrophobic!" I scream in terror. "Edward Elric is so lucky to have a cute girlfriend like you," a random woman says with tears in her eyes.

My face heats up to a pure red color. "Ok, hold up ladies! I am not dating Elric right now," I inform them as maturely as I could. "So that means you will?" That did it. 'This is like how girls act around an extremely famous celebrity from hollywoodI!' my thoughts screame as I push them out of the way with full force and ask Ed in annoyance, "Can you please just ask the guy already!?" I can't wait anymore, that shrimp better ask who's Cornello before I grab the brothers and drag them all the way to the church. He sorta under stood what I meant, I think. "Who's the guy speaking on the radio?" asks the still ticked off Ed. The men were still on the ground in shock and fear after what just happened.

"T-That's fa-father Cor-Cornello!" one of them answers. I went in between Ed and Al, after finally getting out of the female swarm, to listen to the story of the man. 'Why do I have to hear this story again? I already know what Cornello plans on doing! Even if I did let it slip after making Ed ask, but I'll make up a really good excuse once we finish taking out Cornello,' after concluding my plans in my thoughts, I cross my arms and patiently wait for this scene to play out.

The number of how many explained their prophet was out standing. If I wasn't from the other side of the gate I would be staring at all of this with my jaw on the floor.

||At the Church Grounds||

With Ed standing on top of his suit case, I git even higher grounds with elevated land. I just used my alchemy on something that's not water! 3 straight year I've stuck with water alchemy, I can finally do this now! When looks at the side, his face showed exactly what he was thinking, 'show off'. I smile in triumph, knowing that I just beat him on who can be the tallest. Al could easily see over the crowd for his extreme tallness so he doesn't count since he's naturally tall. I turn my attention back to Cornello as he takes a flower petal in his palm, that flew down in his hands, and transmutes it into the crystallized stature I expected him to make. 'You just made the biggest mistake ever,' I smirk, looking back at the two. If Cornello didn't show off his alchemy in the first place, Ed and Al would've never decided to take their chance in confronting the bald man.

So I must thank that man for his stupidity. "He's changing an organic matter into inorganic matter... Its impossible to do unless..." Al trails in his sentence as he glances to his older brother. Ed finishes, "That's it guys... we found it." I hop down the surface I was standing on and place my hands on my hips as I look at them. "I think its time we pay the priest a little visit," I conclude for the two.

||Inside||

We walk through the center of long rows of seats. 'Damn... this church is bigger than I thought it would be...' I thought in amazement. This place is seriously big! I've always thought it would be the size of an average church (A/N: Think of the size of your everyday modern church.), but this is seriously big, no joke at all. "For a town in the middle of a dessert it sure can build something so huge," and that will be the only compliment I'll ever give this place. I stop in place when I saw a certain girl kneeling in front of the altair. I didn't want to face the girl in person, but I knew that for a fact nothing will go on if we don't continue with this. I caught with Ed just in time says this to get her attention,"So this is the sun god, Leto." I saw Rose turn around in surprise before standing up.

"Are you here to learn about our religion, letoism?" her question was said in such a sweet tone. "Sorry but I'm an atheist," was Ed's answer, smirking that unknowingly smirk. She looks at me, nearly giving me a heart attack for her deep gaze, expecting an answer from me as well. I gave her an apologetic look as I told, "Sorry but I'm also an atheist. I lost my faith in god when I was a child." I tried to make it sound much nicer than how Ed answered. She gave us a disapproved look, saying, "That's not good! Believing and honoring God, and living in gratitude hope...How glorious." Ed and Al seem to be sinking in what she was saying, I just stayed in the sidelines in hopes I won't change anything.

'I already cause something that wasn't suppose to happen... I just hope that incident didn't cause anything about...' I shook my head in order to remove those thoughts. It's too late to think about something in the future, I have to think about the present, not about what's to come afterwards. Then the expected happened, except I was dragged into it. "If you believe..." I waited for a moment. She looks up at us with that hopeful look on her anime face and telling us comically, "I'm sure you'll both grow taller!" "What did you say!?" we both shout at the same time. Al holds his brother, who was trying his best to hold back his fist, and me as I had an anime vein pulsating at the side of my head.

'Why am I part of it!?' my inner self screams as it punches an imagination Rose continuously. "She didn't mean it in a bad way!" the younger tries to calm us down in reassurance. I could see the word sincerity floating above her head and it was mocking me. I retort in sarcasm at this, "Oh sure she didn't~! It's not like she knew about the fact that that's not something we take lightly!" 'What is it about these people with height!? I'm bloody 15 years old now, and still they continue to point out the fact I'm not at the proper height! I swear to god if someone means anything about my height I will-!" I snap out of my inner rant when I saw the blonde plop himself down on the seat behind us.

"Resurrection on the Dead... Do you seriously believe in something like that?" he asks with his dead serious look. 'If I was religious like her, I would also be insulted by such an accusation,' I thought, still watching how thing played out. Rose answers his question with a simple 'yes', unnerved by his how harsh his voice sounds and not able to read the situation she's in now. Ed sighs and takes out his small notebook, reading out loud for all of us to hear, "Water, 35L. Carbon, 20kg. Ammonia, 4L. Lime, 1.5kg. Phosphurus, 800g. Salt, 250g. Niter, 100g. And so on and so forth." I wanted to laugh at how lost Rose was, I can even remember the random element floating around her head in the anime. "What...?" was the only thing that came out of the dumbstruck girl.

"Those are ingredients that make up an average adult human body. you can buy with a kids pocket money. We know this from our advances in science, but there haven't been any reports of successful human transmutations. You really think praying would solve something that even science couldn't solve?"
"Pray and believe, and your wishes shall be."
"You can buy this stuff with a kid's pocket think humans are so cheap to make!
"People are not things... Those words are blasphemy to our creator! You'll suffer divine punishment for that."

I tried to explain as nicely as I could, "You have to understand, alchemists are scientists. We don't believe in improvable concepts like creators or Gods. We observe the physical laws that govern this world to try and learn the truth." I was lying to them and myself, Truth controls our destiny like how he made me come to Amestris by force. I do respect Rose for what she believes in, but the things she is placing her life in is in the hands of lies. "It's pretty ironic we're the closest thing to God in a sense," Ed speaks up, "even though we have no need for him." I glare at Ed for what he said, well for how harsh he had to point it out. "So you think yourselves as a God? That's sheer arrogance!" Rose yells, insulted mostly at what the blonde said.

"Haven't you heard the story? A man with wings made of wax flew up to try and reach the sun. He got too close to the sun. His wings melted, causing him to crash down to earth," retelling the story, Ed leans closer to Rose to intimidate her. "Brother..." I look at Al to see how he was reacting to this. I hesitently place a hand on his shoulder, telling him, "Ed that's enough already. You can't force someone like her to give up on her beliefs so easily."-'Althought I wished she did.' His head was bowed down, making his face make a slightly dark expression. I knew what would happen next but- "I'm so sorry miss! Do you think Father Cornello could save three arrogant alchemists like us?"

I anime fall to the side at the sudden change of attitude. Roses' eyes sparkle at the sudden turn of events and clasps her hands together as she cries in joy, "Of course! Father Cornello accepts anyone who is willing to follow the path of god!" I completely forgot how gullible Rose was, even the sight of how she reacted made me feel the gullible aura around her. I sat up looking at the boy beside

-Jealousy-

"Father Cornello, the are three people asking for your presence. Two call themselves the Elric brothers, they're accompanied with a girl in rather strange clothes."

"Tell them I'm busy. Wait-" Cornello ponders for a sec before continuing, "The Elric brothers?" The man replies nervously, "Yes, that's what they said..." "This is bad. Two of them are state alchemists, Edward Elric the fullmetal alchemist and his partner Catherine Cairo the Mercury Alchemist," the man says as he places his hand on his head." The... man in the suit of armor and that little girl!?" the follower exclaims in shock. "Yeah it must be..." he answers in a pissed off tone. The dark haired man mutters to himself loud and clear, "What are two dogs of the military doing here...? Could it be our plan has..." "Those dogs of the military must have a good sense of smell," Cornello says wisely as he continues to look out at the blue sky above. I lean against the wall in a dark corner after listening in on their conversation, taking notice of the girl in 'strange clothes'.

Cat: That's the first anyone said my clothes are strange.
me: Actually a lot has noticed actually. I just keep forgetting to mention it! XP
Cat: Go to hell!

I step out answering, "That girl you mentioned... She's nothing to worry about as long as there's no liquid substance around she can use. Also beware of her sword fighting abilities and gun shooting, they'll probably be amplified with alchemy once she uses them. Also, she will lower her guard once you mention the name Alice." Cornello raises an eye brow at my suddent statement but brushes it off, thankful for the information I presented him as a vital piece. "Lust has warned me of your sick twisted personality," I glare at the old man, "so don't think I have a backup plan incase you decided to do things on your own." "Don't worry Cornello," I walked up and placed a hand on his, "from the information I gave you, you are less likely to lose this fight against those three."

When I peeled my hand off, slightly disgustrd of what I had to do, I secretly smirk at the sight if the stone making small spark of alchemic light before completely glowing bright red, happy to finally finish with my own business. I was about to leave the old man's side until he suddenly grabs my arm and yanks my body down towards. "I know who you really are homunculus... don't forget you aren't the only one that-" the last part was inaudible to those that were inside the room. My eyes slowly widen as Cornello continues to whisper in my ear. After the old man pulled away, I yanked my arm back with ny arm now showing how disgusted I trully was around the elderly man.

"Tch!" I grit my teeth as I walk away from the two men, so that my anger won't be unleashed at the I left, I turn my head to the side warning them, "Don't think the three will be the least of your problems. If you fail, you know what will happen if people lose their belief in you. So inorder to make sure that doesn't happen read that paper on your desk." Soon after I was in the hallway, a fair distance away, I punch a nearby wall with an amplified fist and transmuted a large hole in the wall, the remains falls down into dust.

"Catherine... Cairo... Catherine... Cairo... CATHERINE CAIRO!"

-Me-

We were escorted inside the lower grounds of the church for our meeting of the priest. I wasn't paying attention to their conversation, I was more into how big this place is! I snap into reality when those words came out of the man's mouth, "Yeah, let's get this over with as quickly as possible." I took my own gun out as the man in front of us takes his gun out while the ones in out used their spears to block Ed. But another man, I do now know where he came from, aims his own gun at me, forcing me to raise my hands up in the air and let my gun hang from one finger. "Priest, what's going on here!?" questions the very confused Rose. "Rose, these people are heathens who are to ensnare the High Priest. They are evil," his explanation did not make any sense at all.

"What are you talking about?" asks the nervous girl, glancing back us a few times with a look that was full of confusion and pain. 'If I keep out of it for just a little longer,' I made a quick glance to the area where Cornello will appear, 'then everything will go smoothly as long as I don't entirely interfere with their fight. Any moment now Cornello will walk out of the shadows, all I have to do is make sure Ed stays safe during that time.' "Then let's get this over!" To me that sounded more like the signal to start a boxing match as I heard thow familiar words escape Ed's mouth and I was really happy he did. As soon as Ed hits the men beside him, I quickly transmute my hand into a version of Ed's blade and slashed the gun out of his hand, then jumped in the air to kick him right in the face.

I turn around in time to see that Ed also hit someone in the face, but it was with his fist. A tooth flew at me after the priest fell to the ground. "Eeeeewwwww! Ed becareful when you decide to punch someone and break their face!" I squeel in disgust as I try to wipe off the blood the tooth left behind. "What's with all this racket?" the familiar voice questions as it echoes throughout the area. Stepping out of the shadows was Cornello, his smile so fake you just want to wipe it off his face, which was something I've been planning to do even before I fell through the gate. "Father Cornello!" Rose gasps in glee, unknown that it was the very man she worshipped that caused this. "I'm must apologize for my desciples behavior," Cornello fakely apologizes to us.

"It seems they have misguided." "I see so what if I say I believe you. Weren't your the one who's guiding them?" Ed eggs on, hitting it right in the jackpot.

"Have you come to learn the ways of Leto?"
"Well, there are a few things I'm curious about? First, how have you been able to use second rate alchemy to deceive you followers?"

"Well my dear boy, I don't know what you mean. What you doubt by saying alchemy, I see as miracles from the Sun God Leto." Cornello then began to transmute a small statue in his hands as he said, " Look again; could mere alchemy create something from nothing in this way?" "No you can't," I butt in after having enough of being in the sidelines, "It's the way you use alchemy is what makes us so curious as to how you did it without the law of equivalent exchange." "That's because it's not alchemy!" Cornello half yells ate as his face scrunches into an angered look. "That's when we started thinking about it…if you've somehow acquired a certain object that amplifies your alchemy, one said to make the impossible possible, that would explain everything," Ed said as Cornello gives him a confused look. I was the one starting the demands, "Enough with the jokes. It's time to give us what we came here for."

"And what is that?" questions the head priest, still smiling even in this type of situation. "That thing on your ring is what's making you ignore the laws of equivalent exchange! So quit playing dumb and hand it over already or else we'll take it from you by force!" I threaten with the darkest look I could make. "The ring is just a ring; I am God's humble servant. It is from he alone that I derive my power," he states in a humble manner, holding his hand up to show us his prize possession. "Bingo..." I say silently as I prepared to reload my gun for what's to come next. "You're still trying to sell that line, huh? If that's the way you want to play it, then I guess I will have to come up there and beat some truth out of ya," Ed started to walk a forward.

"My, you really are quite the encourage able heathens, aren't you? Rose dear," Cornello glanced at the almost forgotten teenager. She asked the High priest timidly, "Yes Father?" "That gun there beside you…pick it up." "O-okay..." Rose answers nervously as she slowly reachs for the weapon with shaky hands. My eyes widen shock as my innerself was kicking myself for not remembering such a crucial thing. "Rose don't pick that up!" I exclaim. It was too late to stop her, she had already held it in her hands just like the man wanted her to do. "Now child, I want you to shoot the Fullmetal and Fireworks alchemist." Ed, Al, and I glanced to Rose as she protests, "No…I- Father, I can't do that…"

"I am the Sun God's chosen one. My word is the word of Leto himself. Shoot them Rose; it's God's will." Cornello said with an evil grin. She slowly raised the gun as Cornello continued, "Why hesitate? When you lost your fiancé to that tragic accident last year, who was it that saved you from the depths of despair? Have you forgotten?" Rose tears began to fall from her eyes as she whispered, "No…it was you Father…" He pries in more into her head as he asked, "That's right; it was I who took your hand and led you to God's light and do you recall what I was I would do then?"

"You said…if I had faith, you would bring him back to life!"

She then pointed the gun at Alphonse as he panicked saying, "No-no wait! It's not me! Honest!" Rose and Cornello glances at Ed as he shouts in anger, "Damn it! I'm the Fullmetal! Not him, me!" Rose and I sweat drop at how frantic Ed was. "It's the short one?! You're kidding?!" Cornello exclaims with disbelief. Rose then points the gun towards Ed as she muttered, "I'm sorry…but I have to do this…I don't have a choice…" "Listen to me Rose," she hesitantly looks at me as I continued, " you do have a choice. All you've done is listen to what the man chooses for you to do. Now it's time to listen to yourself for once in your life. You may have lost your parents and the only man that has ever truly love you, you can't just let someone control your life in order to gain back what you've lost!"

"How did you-?" she could finish as she was too frightened to say anything. "Cat is right Rose. It's your own decision to do what you think is right," Al supports at what I just said, even though he didn't question how I knew about her parents. "He's been lying to you Rose," Ed told her. "You're wrong! I've seen his miracles and Father Cornello will bring him back to life if I have faith!" she yells still holding onto her beliefs. "His miracles are nothing more than alchemy. As for bringing your loved one to life…it's not possible-" I was interrupted as she points the gun at me. "You're lying!" she protests again. I listen as she said, "I've put faith into him and it can be done!" "Fine then; shoot me," Ed stated as steps infront of me.

I look at him in disbelief, not the part of him egging Rose into shooting, but how he just suddenly walks up in front of me protectively to spare me from the bullet is what got me. Rose pointed the gun at each of us, soon losing control and pressing the trigger ny accident. Al's helmet flew off the moment the trigger was pulled as Ed and I called to him. Rose then dropped the gun as she started to scream uncontrollably. "Good now pick up the gun again and finish them off," Cornello order's. "Haven't you made her done enough already?" Rose and Cornello looked with shocked looks towards Al as Ed brought him his helmet. "Don't worry, he's pretty solid," Ed knocked on his armor for assurance to the girl.

"It's just how it is," Al spoke as he leans forward, showing the two the inside of his armor. Al placed his helmet back on as Cornello babbles on, "An empty suit of armor that walks and speaks…do you still doubt it, Rose? This unholy thing is an abomination. Evil of this kind must be purged." Cornello then pulled a switch. "And I believe my chimera is up to the task." A huge door opened, what I expected to be one chimera it revealed to have two chimera's stepping out into the spot light. They walk towards us slowly as Cornello asks, "Is this your first time seeing a chimera?" "So you made something like this with your stone, too, eh?" Ed asks back, unimpressed at the thing that stood beside us.

I look over my shoulders to see Rose stepping a few steps back in fear, still not believing the things that are going on before her; something I don't blame her for. "I should probably arm myself..." as he said that, Ed claps his hands and steps forward. I knew what he was going to do, amd Al knew as well just by watching his brother, he places his hands on the ground and uses his alcheny to transmute some of the cement floor into a long spear. "You can use alchemy without a transmutation circle?" Cornello's gasps in disbelief and takes one step back. "Hey don't show off too! I haven't shown this guys my own party trock as well," I say and place a hand on my swords' handle after tossing the gun away.

I can make another one again, so I amplified my alchemy into my own hands in a different manner. I unsheath my sword and blue flames danced around the blade like normal fire. "You two don't have your names as state alchemists for nothing! But," and the fight began. I didn't have to watch Ed since I already knew what would happen, both of his automail parts would be revealed in the fight like they were suppose to. I circle around my own creature as it follows my motion as well. I waited until it decided to finally lunge at me. I smirk, quickly dodging the thing as my blades slashes at it at the same time. When it landed onto the ground, its claws were frozen by the time came to its proper position.

The aftermath was that my sleeves and my hat were torn from its long claws. "Damn it! I've had this thing for 3 years straight! Now I need to make a new one!" I curse, throwing off the top away from my head and rip the excess leather off of my jacket, something I will regret later on when it comes to repairs. "Wait a minute..." he studies my face as soon as I took my hat off. "I see now... so that's why she knows you so well... Your something that was never suppose to exist," Cornello yells, pointing his finger in my direction as I continue to glare at him. I did not know what he ment by that, but I know it was meant to be an insult. "Shut up you old fart! You destroyed my hat! You have to pay for that!" I exclaim and immediately turn my attention back at the chimera.

I saw the chimera bit onto Ed's arm. "Ed!" I cry out. I heard a loud noise coming from my own chimera so I had to revery my attention back to. The chimera breaks the ice, losing its claws in the process, but still tries to rip my head off like I'm some sort of weak prey. I drop the sword immediately and throw my water bottle at its face, then I changed it into a Popsicle right at the exact moment my hand touched the surface of its skin, fur, whatever you want to call it. "Both of you... That arm, leg, a brother without a body...! I see now... Fullmetal Alchemist... Mercury Alchemist... you've done it haven't you?!" he yells at us as Ed rips his jacket off. 'Oh shit' would've come out of my mouth at the sight I saw.

I tried to shake the strange feeling out of me while thinking, 'Focus Cat! The story is still the same! Don't stare at his muscles right now!' If I have the time I would slap myself, but seeing as I'm facing my very first official villian after so long, I need to make sure things still go smoothly. "Get down here," Ed starts. "You third rate!" I finish as we both got into our fighting stances. "We'll show you the difference in our skills!" we said at the same time, except I was smirking when I said that. That's when I remembered something. 'Rose!' I thought in realization as I swiftly turn my head in her direction. She was even more afraid than before, especially now that she's seen and heard the truth about us.

"Rose, these three committed the greatest taboo alchemists commit. Human transmutation! They tried to revive the dead!"

Oh the urge to shut the man up was really annoying me! "Shut up you old fart! I never commited the act at all for your information! And I will never play with lives like the way you do!" I let it slip out of my mouth. I didn't commit the act, I was forced into an exchange that had to do with the gate. 'Rose must be remembering Ed's story by now! She has to!' I thought worriedly and try my best not to look at the girl again. I can't read minds!' I scream lost in ny thoughts. I only have to play my part on trying to convince Rose, that's all I need to do. I thought that was all I had to worry about until the ground around me started to crack, then shatters as flames burst out from the groud, leaving me on a small platform surrounded by a huge amount of flames.

"Catherine!" Ed calls out and reaches for me, but the flames were too strong to get through. I tried to use my alchemy at Cornello so I could at least freeze his hand as best as my alchemy could go, the flames continued to get stronger making it hard to see. I put my hands close to my chest (just like Lyra) so transmute any amount of water to make the fire go out, but nothing happened. The heat was so intense that it was hard to breathe from the lack of oxygen.

"That girl told me a few things about you. You lost your the one who killed Alice in Hiessgart."

My eyes widen in shock as Cornello continues, "All you did was allow her to get killed by your hands as your sword slwoly sunk into your head. You're lying to yourself right now that you didn't enjoy the sight of blood you spilt. You've done it countless of times." I collapsed on my knees as his word slowly began to sink into my mind. Then a splitting headache rushed into my brain as images of the past 3 years were, except they were slightly different than how I remembered it. I saw Alice getting stabbed at a much closer view. I used my alchemy to freeze countless bodies and slice them up where they stood with my sword. A woman was crying as I took a step closer with my blood covered sword. 'I remember now... I was sent on missions by Raven... to slaughter so many lives...' I thought in realization as memories continued to pour inside my head.

me: And that's what happened during the entire three year gap.
Cat: I always knew Raven was nuts, but did you have to make him that cruel? Why didn't you write about it!
me: You expect me to write about the entire thing!? That'll take forever!

I don't know why I never remembered being manipulate by Raven so easily, it had to be something he did to me while I was off guard when around the man. Some of my memories became twisted thanks to Cornello's words of maniputalion. He was trying to make me insane so I would ebcome mentally and it worked. I was losing it. "Cat snap out of it! Catherine Cairo!" I hear Ed from outside the flames. "Shut up!Shut up!Shut up!Shut up! I didn't mean to! I said I would fix all of it once I get it back! Stop it already! NOOOOO!" I cried as I croutch down onto the ground like a coward. "Cat listen to me, okay? You have to snap out of it! Cornello is just messing with your head so he can take you out easily! What ever he's talking about, don't let him get into your head!" I heard Ed shout from outside the flames.

"You have to get through this Cat! You'll die if you stay in that fire!" Al shouts as well. "Die...?" I repeat, fear got to me even more than the sudden accusations.

-Ed-

I tried to get through the flames again by making a bridge as a path through the flames, but someone or something counter's it by usiing their own alchemy to make the bridge crumble whenever I even got till half a bridge made. I glare at Cornello who just stood above us with a smug look on his face. "Whatever your trying to do, stop it! Killing her won't save you from me beating the living day lights out of you and sending you to your early funeral!" I threaten, making another spear from the ground. "You don't understand," he lifts his hands up in the air, "I have nothing to do with the girls predicament. All I've don't so far is send out those chimera's to finish you off, not do something as putride like that!" "Agh! Stop it!" Cat screams from inside the flames once more. The next thing that happened was the most remarkable thing I've ever seen an alchemist do.

-Me-

When I was at my breaking point my alchemy automatically activates around me, a full circle of light glows as the air becomes cold, the flames slowly changing color for unknown reasons. I came through after realizing what I just did. I look around and saw the ring of hot blazing flames became a ring of my very own blue flames. I stare at my hands in shock as I slowly stood up from my position, unable to figure out what just happened there. I know I'm still not capable on doing something like that yet. I can't even figure out how I can do alchemy like Hohenheim! Everyone had their eyes on me, staring at me in disbelief as I jump over the shallow ditch, brushing myself with my hands as if nothing happened to me at all.

"Nice try Cornello! But to get rid of me, you have to make sure you kill me first instead of torture me until I'm insane!" I mock the man as I transmuted another sword, mode of ice, out of thin air. Problem is... I only got half made... 'Shit... This looks so embarrassing...' I thought as I kept a straight face, a sweat drop forming on my head at the same time. "Ah screw it! I'll take your sorry ass head on!" I yell and threw the piece of shit at Cornello's head. I accidentally hit Al's instead. "Wah! Cat watch where you throwing that!" he screeches after losing his head, again."Sorry Al!" I apologize in a panic tone while thinking to myself, 'Why does his head have to be so removable!? Anything can knock that head of his off if you wanted to, accident or not!'

"Enough of this!" Cornello transmutes his cane into a large machine gun, accompanied by the red alchemic lights coming from his ring, and aims the gun right at us. Ed grabs me in time as he transmutes a wall to cover us, while Al carries Rose away and runs as multiple bullets were shot at us. "Ed let's make our escape as soon as he runs out! He maybe an alchemist, but its not like he can transmute an endless amount of bullets every minute he runs out!" I yell through the many barrage of bullets from the other side. The bullets did stop coming, so the four of us went to the nearest wall and Ed transmutes a giant pair of doors. "This way!" Ed points out. I was followed him just so I could see the comedy in person while making your escape.

I look over my shoulder just so I could see the poor sucker that got a metal door slammed right in his face, it was hilarious! I turn my attention to what's going on ahead of us when those familiar words echoed through the hall, "Stop right there!" "Che! It's not like they can get though us unharmed," one mocks as he holds up his spear, along with others who also thought the same thing. Ed and I smirk at the same time. As he transmutes his arm into a giant ass blade, I transmute follow this action as well except making it covered with freezing blue flames. "Aaaaahhh!" the men scream as we attack them happily. "Out of the way!" Al knocks down some of the men that were blocking his path, Rose still in his arms scared to death at the sight of men being knocked down so easily.

As we continue our run, I spot something as soon as we pass by a corridor. I abruptly stop wondering out loud, "Was that...?" "Cat c'mon! I have a plan!" Ed shouts from down the hall. "Alright I'm coming!" I call out. I glance one last time at the long hall beside me before running back to the brothers. 'Was that Jealousy...? Nah! It couldn't be! If she works for father, she's probably stuck being assigned to stay in Central to watch over things there! Yeah! There's no way that Father would send out his own pawn if it can us alchemy,' I tried to convince myself that, but I couldn't help feel doubtful at the very thought of Jealousy following that man's orders. By how crazy she's acting, she's probably like Greed about doing stuff they want and not follow others when they have something on their mind.

Then something inside me stopped me from following them, I don't know what it was, but this aching pain in my chest was so over whelming my vision started to get blurry. I blink a few times as the two disappear ahead from the hall. From the intensity of pain I felt, I collapsed onto the ground and clutched my heart as it began to beat at an abnormally high rate. The last thing I saw was a figure of a man standing a few feet away from me before the world completely blacked out.

-?-

I knelt down to the ground and touched Catherine cheek, who lies down on the ground breathing heavily, making me feel horrible for the pain I'm causing her. I take a necklace out from my right pocket. As I open my fist, the pendant; a blue crystal-like stone, glows a bright blue color is emitted from the tiny object as I brought it closer to the girls' face, making her face is pained even more when it got closer. "I'm sorry... but you have to hold on for just a little longer Catherine," the first thing I did was flip her body around so I could make her lie on her back in a more comfortable position. "You bastard! I knew you were behind this!" I look over my shoulder to see Jealousy leaning against, holding her body as pain struck her face.

I sigh then went back to what I was doing, "This girl is your only way to regain the humanity you've lost. She is the key to saving Amestris from it's appending doom." "You aren't the one to help her! She has to be the one to unlock her true abilities in order to save all of us! That thing in your hand... will only start the countdown once that thing is implanted into her body!" she argues, wincing in pain once more as the stone is placed on top of Catherine's chest, right at the area where her heart is. "I know the consequences this will bring," my face then grew dark as I continued, "but it's already been three years since you both came. If you thought it would be easy for this girl to get through every single thing this god forsaken place has to offer than your wrong. Her joining the military was something I never thought she would, but I guess that's expected after what you two did to her three years back. If I'm right right, this will give her the power she'll need in the near future, although I can't say the same thing for you."

The stone glows one last time then sinks into Catherine's chest lights of alchemy accompanied during the process, but this didn't help both girls; Catherine, even if passed out, tried to fight back the pain while Jealousy screams in agony as she holds her chest in pain. "This is what you both have to go through... since you both are forever connected at this point..." were my final words to the two girl before leaving them.

-Ed-

I was able to dodge Cornello's large fist, but something was off by the way Cornello was acting. His eyes, I don't exactly know how to explain it, seemed less human like as the fight continued on between me and the giant mutated old geezer. I know his eyes are already different from the rebound of the stone, they just didn't feel right the longer I took every chance to look up at his ugly face. "Ed watch out!" I hear a voice from behind my back. I shot around to my right side to see another fist swinging right at me. I blocked the fist the moment it was inches from my body, glancing to find out who it was only to see none other than my partner, Cat. I quickly shot her a thankful look as I continued to push against the giant fist.

Then out of nowhere, Cornello's strength boosted up to another higher level than how it used to be; his fist grew 2 times bigger before punching back at me with a much greater force. I flew back a few feet and crashed against a nearby pillar, but that didn't stop the attacks from going at me. As I groggily sat up from the debris Cornello's gigantic body loam's over me. He was getting his fist ready to hit me again when blue light flashes for a moment, then a large wave of blue fire hit Cornello on the side of his face, much to the old man's annoyance. He slowly turns to the side before another wave rams straight into his face, causing a large howl of pain to echo throughout the church.

"You think your God will be happy to know how you abuse his power like that!?" Cat yells, holding up her sword up in the air with blue flames dancing around it. "You insolent child! I was going to save you for last," Cornello grabs the girls' body, "but I guess I have to care of this little pest if I want to get things done." He lifts her up close to his face to get a closer look at her, at the same time watching Cat struggle to get out of his grasp with all her might, her arms pinned to her side as Cat was trapped inside his fist making her sword hang below her as she kept her grip on it. She finally drops her sword to the ground after Cornello gave one last squeeze.

"You are a child that was never meant to be born into this world! A sin born from another sin against the nature of the one who watches over this world! You shall perish by my hands under the order of ridding you from this world completely as the Nameless Child!"

A sudden shock electrified Cat's body. "Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" she screams as her body began to shake uncontrollably. "My words are God's words. This fist is God's fist!" Cornello yells. "God's fist you say!?" I repeated and run towards the statue behind his back. I clapped my hands as I yell at the man, "If you like it so much, I'll let you have a taste of it!" I slam my hands on the statue, blue light of alchemy sparkes from my hands and run up all the way to the fist that was hold the staff, and transmute a giant stone hand to come out. I watch as the hand flexes into a fist and punches Cornello's body behind his back, making him lift off the ground and get pushed my the fist all the way till he was slammed onto the ground.

When the dust cleared, a small red spark emitted for a moment as Cornello lies on the ground a few inches away from the fist, holding his right arm in pain. "Cat!" I shout as I run up to her side the moment I saw her. Cat laid on her back coughing, painfully moving my body as I got closer to her side. I slide to her side asking, "Are you okay? Do you need to go to a doctor?" "I'm fine Ed... its not like I'm gonna die any moment now..." she groans sarcastically, sitting up with a hand clutching her head in pain. 'And yet she still has the energy for sarcasism,' I chuckled at the thought. I held a hand at her which she gladly oblidged to take. As I pulled the girl back up her feet, Cornello continues to whimper in pain that was still too loud for us to ignore.

-Me-

"I'll be right back," and without waiting for a reply from me, Ed marches up to Cornello in anger. I giggled at the familiar sight when Ed grabs Cornello's face and head butts the old man who has a short moment of anime tears pour out of his eyes from the intense pain. "Now give me the stone!" Ed demands with his fist up. Sadly this won't happen. As Cornello hids his teary face with his hand, the stone on his ring dims and falls off, shattering to the ground beside him into nothingness. I walk up to Ed's side as he questions in disbelief, "It... broke? What does this mean? How could the philosopher's stone just break? It's supposed to be a perfect substance!"

"I... I don't know! I didn't hear about this! P-P-P-Please don't hurt me! Please! I was wrong!" begs the old man. "So it was a fake?" Ed pushes on the topic as she stood up straight. "I can't do anything without it! Please, have mercy!" Cornello continues his pleads for mercu. "I finally thought we'd be able to get out bodies back, and it's..." an anime spotlight hits Ed as his soul flies out of his mouth "...fake..." I placed my hand on his shoulder, squeezing it lightly as I look at the back of his head in sympathy, 'Sorry Ed... you just have to hold on just a little bit longer...' "U-Umm, what about me?" asks the clueless stupid highpriest. Ed snaps out of it so we both yell at the man, "Go wherever you want!" "Yes sir!" Cornello complies in fear as he scampers away on all fours.

I sigh as I pick up my sword and plaved it back in its scabbard, "Right when I thought you two would finally leave the military before me... Things would've gone smoothly for you two when you found it..." "There's nothing we can do now," I turn around when I heard Ed say that. "We just have to keep searching if the three of us wants to find the stone to restore our bodies back." "The three of us?" I repeated in confusion, raising an eye brow and cock my head to the side. "You may have lost your arm in an accident but that won't stop me on returning your life back to normal as well," Ed sounded so serious when he told me. "Y-Yeah..." I nervously answer, nervously looking away to the side so that he wouldn't see look in my eyes that were filled with sorrow. 'I'm sorry I had to lie Ed... The stone that Cornello had was real... I just don't want you to know the truth about the true reason how Cornello was able to obtain... '

||Outside||

"What about the philosopher's stone?" Al asks as we stood infront of the church. "It was a fake," Ed answers. He knocks the armor with the back of his fist while his eyes were covered by his bangs, "And I thought we'd finally get you your body back... I look up at the metal boy saying, "Sorry that it wasn't the real deal Al. I thought for sure you both could finally obtain your goals o getting your bodies back to normal." "It's fine Cat. I kinda knew that it would've been too easy for us to obtain the stone just like that," Al reassure with his eyes smiling at me. Ed slap my shoulder lightly and says in an annoyed tone, "Stop leaving yourself out of this! I said that we all will find the stone together and get our bodies back! All three of us!" "But..." my eyes wander to the city of Riole.

Cat: You gave up?
me: Yep... I can't tell whether or not it's Liore of Riole!

Then my eyes widen when I saw Rose before us holding a gun up as she demands, "Give me the Philosopher's stone back!" I took a closer look at the gun and saw it was... mine!? Immediately I checked the holder where I usually had my gun, without looking, only to grab nothing but air. Then I remembered the time I dropped my gun during the fight with the Chimera, I wanted to slapped myself for not remembering to pick up such a weapon since I know Rose will do something like this. "Rose..." Al says quietly at the sight of the pink banged girl. "Didn't I just say that it was fake? And in any case, it broke on its own," Ed says in stern tone, his face was kept straight the entire tine he stated the obvious.

"That'a a lie! You're planning to keep it for yourselves, aren't you! To fix your bodies... right!? And you want to meet you mother again-" I had enough of this and yelled, "Shut up!" Taken a back, the three look at me in shock as I furrow my eyebrows and made my automail hand into a fist to held back my inner anger. "No matter what you do... nothing can change the things that have happened in your life..." I said as my head titls downward, my body quaking all over as I stood my ground. "The dead cannot be revived... Never... Never," Ed repeats the last part before reaching to hold my fist. My nervous did calm down at this sudden action, I didn't feel it but I did see it while I looking down at the ground.

I looked up just in time as Rose collapses to the ground on her knees. "But he said that he'd be able to bring him back... Hebsaid thar if I prayed, it would come true... That a miracle would occur..." she mutters. Ed was the one to take the first step to walk, then Al followed behind him, but I stayed for a moment to watch the girl's poor state. "What am I supposed to cling to from now on!? Tell me!" she begs us, looking up with a crazed look and tears pouring out of her eyes. The two walk past her as she looks back down to her knees. Then I heard those familiar words coming out of Ed's mouth, "Decide that for yourself. Get up and take a step. Walk forward. You've got two legs. You don't need to cling to anything."

I finally made my way to the girl as she looks up at the sky. I knelt down to pick up my gun as I told her, "No one runs your life, you yourself have to decided on your own fate and follow the path you've chosen for yourself. You need to make your own choice on what to do in life, not follow what others order you around like a lost child. Someone out there will give you another chance to make you feel loved again, you just have to look ahead to see that with your own two eyes. You lover and your parents won't be able to move on knowing that the most precious thing they were forced to leave behind is suffering through so much pain and sorrow." As I stood up, I walk right past the girl as she passes out onto the pavement from the large amount of shock she went through from the entire day.

I've always wanted to say those words to her for a long time now, feeling almost the same was as her before when I lost Alice and allowed millions of lives to be taken away. To want some sort of hope that something can bring them back. I stop for a second when I heard a loud thump behind my back, but I continued to run after the two who were waiting for me a few feet away and seemed to have been watching the entire time. I stop in between them asking, "What? Did I say something wrong?" Ed put his hands on the back of his head as he walks away, casually saying, "Oh nothing~! I just never expected such a second rate alchemist to speak such wise words to a person like that!"

"Second rate?" I repeat in confusion. An image appeared in my head of the rank I was on, Cornello being on the bottom, me in between, and then Ed- "Hey! I told you before I've improved!" I yell in annoyance after realizing the insult in his sentence. "Yeah and you make about how much water, Kitty?" he asks.

"We're in the freakin' desert you moron! At least I don't have to clap my hands anymore every time I have to make a transmutation like you shorty!"
"That's because your cheating you feline!"
"Micro-shrimp!"
"Pussycat!"
"Bean sized squirt!"
"Fur ball!"
"How the hell did I end up a fur ball!?"
"When I saw you in the morning with your untamed hair spread around your head like an afro!"
"Shut up you pedophile!"
"I'm not a pedophile!"
"Yes you are! Your harassing someone younger than you!"
"Your 15 years old! Not a 6 year old child!"
"You older than me by a month, okay!? So that makes me younger than you no matter if we were born on the exact same year or if we're the same age!"
"So that means I'm your senior in the military! You have to respect me like many other soldiers!"

"I hate ignorant people like you Ed!" I yell. He yells back, "Same here!" We brought our foreheads close together right when I caught up to him, glaring daggers at one another while we continue our walk. "Cat,' Al butts in between us, "why aren't you gonna ask?" I stop abruptly in my foot steps to look at Al, standing a few inches away from where we were, with his head titled downwards in shame. "If it's about what Rose said when she mentioned your mom-" I saw them tense up when I said that, but I surprised them by saying, "there's no need to explain what happened. Like I said before, I won't force you to tell me if you both don't want to bring up the topic. I knew from the start you two did human transmutation but for good intentions, and as long as I keep that in mind I'll help you search for the stone no matter what."

I turned around with a small smile on my face, my eyes looking at them both tenderly as I caught sight of the boy behind us. Al's body was shaking all over and Ed just stood beside me, his bangs shadowing his face as he looks down at the floor so that I wouldn't see the look he had in his eyes. "Guys? Are you alrigh-" I was interrupted when two pairs of arms crush my entire body, enough to make my back feel like it's gonna snap in half. "Thank you... Thank you..." I hear Al whisper above my head- he's taller than of course- as his body continues to shake madly. I already that's one of his only ways to show how he's feeling to others, I can tell just by the look on his eyes he was crying, not because he was sad but was actually happy by what I said.

I look over to Ed, who I surprised me the most, as he leans his head over my shoulder so that I wouldn't be able to see his expression. I tried to hold back my tears as I thought in sadness, 'You two can't trust me with your past... If you do... Then it would be much harder for you guys to lose your trust with me once my secret gets out in the near future...'

-Jealousy-

++That Night++

I sat on the dusty ground in boredom as I watch Gluttony eat every flesh and bones off of the, now dead, old man that was once known as High Priest Cornello. "Jealousy," I hear Lust call out to me, "Why didn't you guard Cornello like Father told you to? Don't you know the punishment you'll get for disobeying his orders?" "I couldn't do anything with those three around. You all told me I'm not supposed to hurt your precious sacrifices so I had no choice but to stay back," I explained, making a small doodle on the sand I was sitting on. "And yet you decided to pick a fight with the girl," that made me stop my doodling. Lust sighs before continuing, "You are a very precious asset to us Jealousy in our plans... If we lose you then we won't be able make anymore supply of philospher's
stone for other foolish humans to use when we need them."

"Hey Lust, can I eat her?" I glare at the fat man in disgust when he asked Lust that. "No you can't Gluttony she's our sister," Lust answers in a creepy motherly/sisterly manner to him. Gluttony sniffs the air a little as he says, "But she smells just like a human." Without moving, I transmute the floor below him into multiple spikes and stab every part of his fat body, blood spewing out the moment the spikes sunk into his flesh. Red sparks flew in the air as Gluttony tries his best to get out of his death trap, but alas he was stuck there in place, unless Lust decides to help her brother if needed.

I stood up and walked away as Lust slices the spikes with her long fingers, which was sorta nerving to me at the sight of how easily she cut the cement in one swift slash. "Just remember this you two," I stop to look over my shoulder and glare at the two, "I'm not like you Lust. I was born differently compared to how all seven of you homunculi were created into this god forsaken world." Just as I was about to walk through the big large doors, shouts of thousands of angered people were heard right outside the church I was inside, demanding to see the High Priest and confront him of the lies he told to them.

"Humans... are really weak..."

To Be Continued

Ok I am waaaay past my deadline. I just graduated a few weeks ago and I am now applying for college so the next chapter might take a little while. But as soon as I finished typing I was laughing at how much I wrote by using my phone! I though for sure during the start summer vacation I would be able to have a lot of free time to publish my stories! Please R&R!

Cat: And that took you how long for her to put this up?
Jealousy: I still have short appearance... -_-
Me: Waaah! Don't kill the writter! I have only 8 lives left after the last attack!
Cat: Shut up... *pulls out sword*
Jealousy: *transmutes a spear* You can explain everything to us in hell...
Me: SAVE MEEEEEEEEE!
Cat&Jealousy: AveryScarlet does not own Fullmetal Alchemist, all rights belong to the actual creator of the manga. AveryScarlet only owns Cat, Jealousy, Camilla, Alice (and the child that looks like Alice) and many more to come.
Me: Don't end it now!
