Cross County Investigation Part 2
Upon arrival at Pine Hollow, the ten friends got off their bikes and raced into Max's office.
"Max? Max? Where are you, Max?" Melanie called.
Instead of finding Max in his office, Lisa, Elle, Melanie, Kristi, KC, Jess, Carole, Stevie, Phil, and Michael found Elizabeth.
"Missis Reg, do you know where Max is?" Jess asked.
"Max and Red went into town," Elizabeth answered Jess. "why do you ask?"
"The stables at Cross County burned down so..." Phil began.
"So you're wondering if your family's horses can be boarded here," Elizabeth finished. "say no more, Phil!"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you, Missis Reg!" Phil exclaimed.
Phil then gave Elizabeth a big hug.
"You're welcome, Phil." Elizabeth said.
"Come on, everyone," Elle said. "let's go tack up our horses."
The ten friends began to leave, until Elizabeth stopped them.
"Where do all of you think you are going?" Elizabeth asked the ten riding students firmly.
"We have a case to crack, Missis Reg." KC replied with earnestness.
