Kagomes arms tightly wrapped around the wolf demons neck, her head tucked away against him. Her long hair whipped around wildly as the wolf demon sprinted through the forest at incredible speed. She felt the tips of his claws ever so slightly prick through the kimono she wore as he grasped her small body securely to his.

The sound of thunder boomed from above them, bringing the promise of rain.

After reuniting with Kogas men, joyous howls were heard and loving embraces were given from the warrior fathers thanking Kagome endlessly for saving their children.

Unfortunately, the sky soon turned dark amongst the gathering; thunder and lightening interrupting loving words and cheerful chatter.

After the second wave of thunder, Koga immediately pulled Kagome to him, ordering for Hakkaku to take her belongings.
Lifting her into his strong arms he simply said, "We all need to hurry back to the cave before this storm hits."

And before she could register anything, he took off sprinting into the darken woods.

And here she was now, clutching onto him for dear life, eyes squinting shut and nose squished up against his collar bone.

She then suddenly felt the light droplets of water hit her curled up form and the sound of Koga softly cursing reach her ears.

Soon the droplets started to get heavier within seconds making the demon to quicken his pace, not wanting the of them to get completely drenched.

The feeling of water dripping on her and the cool touch of Kogas armor up against her warm body felt almost relaxing; an escape from the summers heat.

Eventually his pace started to slow up briefly, then with a sudden bend of the knee he lunged forward into the air.
She squeaked with surprise at the sudden change of movements from the demon, grasping even tighter to his neck. She heard him chuckle in her ear, "Don't worry Kagome, I got you."
His form jumped from one rocky ledge to the other making his way up the mountain. Eventually jumping through the waterfall to the entrance of his cave.

"We're here." He said softly.

She peeked over her shoulder slightly, her wet hair clinging to her face, arms slowly releasing the tight grip from around his neck.

A warm welcoming glow illuminated from candle sticks that stood in dugged out shelves in the cave walls. The walls itself were decorated with tribal markings, hand prints and animal drawings hand painted in an rainbow of colors. The floors were no longer littered in bones and weapons from what she remembered, but with fluffy animal pelts and glowing lanterns. To the right of the cave there sat a carved out throne with stone steps leading up to it. The throne itself overlooked the center of the huge cave where sat a dugged up hole in the ground; charred fire wood sat within it from the night before. Animals pelts and tree trunks circled the fire pit.

"It has changed a lot since the last time I was here." She stated.

"I guess a few things have changed."

She then caught a glimpse of glowing eyes staring back at them from the shadows where the warm glow from the candles did not reach. The dark forms started to slowly lurk their way towards the King and the miko he still held up protectively in his arms. Whines and welps could be heard from the forms over the sound of the water fall from behind them.

"What are they saying?" She whispered curiously.

"They want to greet you, Kagome."

He carefully placed her on her feet, his calloused hands lightly pushing her forward giving her courage.
She looked from his face to the forms who continued to come closer.

Soon they were close enough for her to see faces of demon men, women and children.

Wolves swerved around their bodies quickly coming towards their King and his guest, tails wagging with excitement.

She took a cautious step forward slowly kneeling to the ground before the large wolves.

With a warm smile on her face she outstretched her hand towards them, "Hello."
The wolves quickly closed in on her hand and bare arm, wet noses sniffing it intently while quick tongues licked at her skin.

She giggled from the contact.

Taking that as an invitation, the wolves soon swarmed her, sniffing her hair and licking her face. They all quickly crowded around her little body each trying to get a turn.

"Hey now! Be gentle with her!" Koga said aloud as he picked up a big wolf in his arms and placed him away from Kagomes kneeling form.

She smiled up at Koga with eyes sparkling, "Oh Koga, I don't mind." she said between giggles. Her hands eagerly rubbing the wolves heads, scratching behind their ears, trying her best to give each one her attention.

"Sister Kagome?"

Her head snapped up at the sound of her name. A smile spreading across her features when her eyes landed on the man who said it. "Ginta?"

She sat up and hurriedly ran towards him, her arms outstretched wide wrapping around his muscular form, bringing the two into a tight embrace. "Ginta how are you? I haven't seen you in forever." She said excitedly.

The wolf demon nervously looked back and forth from the human girl wrapped around him to his now glaring King. Quickly he pulled the girl from him to create some distance between the two, "Sister Kagome, it has been way to long." He said nervously as his demon eyes continued to dart between the girl before him and the angry shadow from behind her. "What brings you here, Sister?"

She smiled up at him, "I found Taka and Kai! Then Koga found us last night! We eventually rejoined the search party this morning.. The rest of the pack should be here shortly with the boys..."

Kagome looked back over her shoulder towards the cave entrance.

Where are they? Is Koga really that much faster than the rest of them?

"Kai and Taka?" Two wolf demonesses stepped forward from the crowd of curious onlookers, their hands holding onto each other for support. Glowing eyes were set on top of dark circles from endless days of crying and worrying. "Their alive?"

"Yes, they should be arriving here shortly with your mates and the rest of the men." Koga proudly looked upon the miko before him as he continued, "Kagome saved them from a bear demon and was bringing them back to the mountain before I found them."

Chatter broke through out the crowd of demons. Kagome heard her name being passed through lips as they praised her for her bravery.

"Sister.."

Before Kagome could react both demonesses were kneeling before her. Hands and faces placed upon the caves floor, bowing to her in the upmost respect.

"Thank you Sister for what you've done."

Taken aback Kagome quickly kneeled to the floor with them, hands nervously raised and anxious eyes darting between the two bowing demonesses before her and then quickly back at their standing King.

This was a first for her..People have bowed to her before out of respect and thankfulness when she relieved a village from an murderous demon or from healing a family member from the brink of death. But, never has a demon bowed to her.

And no matter how many times someone bowed to her to show their thanks, she never could get use it. She was only doing the right thing and to her that didn't need praise.

Koga must have felt her get uncomfortable; the miko not really sure what to say or do.

The wolf king gracefully crouched down next her, his muscular arm slightly brushing up against hers. "Please sit up, the both of you." He said softly as his large hands gently touched both womans hands. "You're children will be here shortly. Everyone will soon be together again."

Both demonesses heads lifted to look at him, eyes wet with tear stained faces, "Yes, my King."

Koga..

She looked at the wolf king next to her, his eyes were gentle and full of warmth. A small comforting smile was placed upon his lips.

He cares so much for them; for his tribe.

As if he could feel her lingering gaze upon him, he turned to face her, azure eyes met with her own hazel ones.

His eyes are beautiful, she thought.

A bright blue; the color of clear summers sky dusted with countless specks of the dark color of the azure sea.

She looked at his eyes multiple times before and never noticed how memorizing they were till now. Maybe because they were never this close before? His face was just mere inches away from her own.

"Kagome?" He said her name in question, breaking her from her trance.

She could feel the light blush of embarrassment spread across her cheeks.

She quickly looked away, eyes darting around every where in the cave, avoiding him.

And to her surprise, and probably even his, she said boldly. "Your eyes, Koga. Their just really beautiful."
