Tomoe pulled her hand leading them through the twists and turns of the tunnels within the mountain.
The torches placed on the walls werent lit, surrounding Kagome in complete darkness.
The only reason why she wasnt stricken with complete fear was the hand she clutched on to leading her through the never ending black void.

"Why arent the torches lit?" Kagome asked nervously.

Was there even torches on the walls? It was pitch black she couldn't tell.

"Because no one really comes down this tunnel."

"Why?"

Tomoe suddenly stopped in her tracks, making Kagome to trip slightly, colliding into the girl before her.

"The pack was constructing new tunnels and rooms for the growing tribe a few years ago. Everything was put on hold when Naraku started terrorizing everyone. And when you defeated him, our tribe was soon under attack by the southern territories. Who knows when the pack will once again start to build... Oh! Here it is!" Tomoe said excitedly.

"Here's what?"

"Think of it as a secret passage way to some treasure."

"Treasure?"

"Yes, you will see. Now pay attention Sister! the passageway is narrow, I won't be able to hold your hand because of the limited space. But, just keep going and you'll eventually see a light at the end."

What did I get myself into...

"And don't make any loud noises! We don't want them to find us!"

"Them? Who's them?"

"Just come on Sister! You'll see!"

Kagome felt Tomoe pull her hand towards a wall, placing it on what felt to be a opening.
The demoness then pulled Kagome by her other hand into a void.

Kagome could feel stone dig into her shoulders.

"You're going to have to turn your body to squeeze threw."

With a long sigh, she turned her body as told, the cavern walls that littered with jagged stones were now pressing uncomfortably up against Kagomes breasts and back.

"I'm going to let go of your hand now, but just keep walking, you will eventually see a light at the end." Tomoe said.

Kagome could hear the demon girl press through the passageway, hands gliding over the walls and bare feet shuffling against the stone floor leaving the miko behind.

Easy for you to say.. you can at least see where you are going.

"Come on, Sister."

With a defeated sigh, Kagome pressed on. Her sandled feet shuffling through the cave floor with careful steps. Her kimono and hair kept getting caught on the sharp stones as her hands desperately ran over the cave walls for support.

Eventually, just as Tomoe had said, a dim light showed through a slim opening. Kagome quickened her steps, squeezing between the protruding rocks to the welcoming exit.

Finally squeezing through the exit, she hunched over, hands on her knees. Her breasts were heaving trying to regain her breathe from the tight passageway.

"Hurry! Get down or they'll see you!" Tomoe hissed as she quickly grabbed a hold of Kagomes wrist and pulled her down to her crouching form.

"Who will-"

"Shhhh! You have to whisper Sister! They'll hear us if were to loud."

Kagomes eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Come, look." With a flip of her curly hair Tomoe crawled on all fours to the edge of ledge they were upon. The top of her head peeking over.

Curiously, Kagome crawled to where the demoness was, herself now looking over the ledge with interest.

Hundreds of feet below them stood a training ground by the looks of it. Torches lit the walls of the large circular room, while weapons of all sorts were scattered along the walls and the floor. Stones and boulders were placed around the room for training purposes.
And right in the center stood at least three dozen wolf demons circling their king who wore nothing but his furs around his waist.

Oh my.

She never seen Koga without his armor and furs before. But here he was, his bronzed body glistening in the light of the torches as sweat slivered it's way down his perfect chiseled abs and muscular back.

Kagome felt a blush creep onto her cheeks.

"Um Tomoe, where are we?"

"Isn't obvious? The training grounds. The warriors usually always train outside, but when it storms and the men feel cooped up within the mountain walls, they come here to train."

Kagomes eyes widened as a man ran at Koga, claws and fangs bared for attack.
Koga dodged with ease, his body crouching low to the ground. And with such quickness he pulled his leg up, and kicked the demon in his stomach, sending him flying across the room.

"They can't smell us?"

Tomoe snorted, "No. Our scents along with every else's linger throughout the cave. Especially now since we're all stuck in here during the storms; the only ones leaving are the hunters and scouts. They'd have to concentrate hard on our scent to find us."

Kagome watched as Kogas muscular arms flexed as he went into an defensive stance, ready for another attack from one of his warriors.

"Why are we here, Tomoe?"

"You're kidding right? Are we seeing the same thing? These bronzed muscular treasures? I used to come here all the time and watch my Jin train." She said with a smile on her face. "He was way better looking than these fools though."

Hentai...

"Sister, why are you looking at me like that? I figured you'd want to see our King in action."

Kagomes cheeks turned into an crimson red, "W-w-why would you think that?" She stuttered in embarrassment.

Tomoe quirked a eyebrow at the human girl, "The two of you spent the night together after the celebration.. I just assumed something must have happened because when Kai brought you to me to go to the hot springs, the kings smell was all over you." She said with a sly grin.

Oh god.

"Y-you're mistaken! Nothing happened that night!"

"Hmmm really? But the two of you sat rather close to each other at dinner last night while we feasted on crane."

"We-we're just friends!" Kagome said, quickly adding, "And besides he's betrothed to Ayame."

"Pft, not by choice."

"What do you mean?" Kagome asked curiously, eyes widening.

"He's mating her to bring peace between the east and north. He'll receive lands and titles from the north along with trade between both territories and warriors if he is need of them. His plan is to unite all of the northern tribes as one, just like how he did here and then he'll become King of both territories, Ayame as his Queen while her cousin, Aoki will be lord and general of the north under our Kings rule." Tomoe finished, watching as the human girls eyes were as wide as saucers, "What I'm trying to say, Sister, is that this is a political mating, it's not for love."

Kagome looked back down at the wolf king. She watched as one of his warriors ran at him, claws extended. Koga easily dodged to the side while the warrior was still in midair trying to attack, and with incredible strength the king brought down his elbow to the back of the warriors neck sending the warrior collapsing to the ground in pain.

"He doesn't love her?"

Tomoe rolled her eyes. Are all humans this dense? She thought.
"In my opinion, no."

Poor Ayame...

She felt bad for the emerald eyed demoness. She remembered how the girl would follow Koga around all those years ago.

The two women remained silent as they watched the men practiced below them. Koga deflecting every assault with ease.

"He's so strong..." Kagome whispered, breaking the silence.

"Who? The King?"

Kagomes head nodded, her eyes not leaving Kogas form.

"Sister, he's always been strong. Maybe you just never noticed before.."

Was that it? Koga was always strong to her, she could remember countless battles in the past were it showed just how great of warrior he was.
But, now he just seemed so... powerful.

Her eyes widened as five of the warriors grabbed weapons from the ground and circled around Koga.

"What? Five against one? That isn't fair! Koga doesn't even have a weapon of his own!" She said in concern.

Kagome could hear Tomoe mumbling something next to her, but her mind was buzzing with so much worry as she watched the unfair match that was about to take place, she just couldnt make out what she said.
Her little hands clutched the rocky edge tightly; making her knuckles turn white. Her head rising higher so she could get a better view.

She watched as one demon ran at Koga with a thick wooden club raised high above his head, while another stayed at a distance sheathing an arrow against a short bow.
To his right another warrior came at him with a katana his hands, a growl erupting through clenched fangs.

The club went high to swing at the kings head while a katana went for his stomach.
He dodged to the side, clawed hand held out grabbing ahold of the club handle. The king went and headbutted the warrior with club; blood spurted out from his broken nose from the impact. The warrior welped in pain as he stuttered backwards grabbing ahold of his face, blood oozing from between his fingers.

Koga immediately brought the club up as the katana went down to slash him, blocking the blade. With incrediable strength he shoved the demon warrior back, causing him to loose his grip upon the tsuba of the blade.
Taking this as his chance Koga pulled the club back; then with great force he chucked the weapon at the warriors head. A loud crack was heard, causing the demon to fall to the ground passing out from the impact.

In that moment an arrow thwished towards Kogas head, he barely had time to jilt his head to the side dodging the sharp point.
The demon archer quickly sheathed another arrow; tip pointing at his King.

A growl of frustration erupted from Koga, so loud it bounced off the cavern walls.
The king dug his feet into the ground getting ready to sprint off towards the archer ready to attack.. but, was immediately halted when a chain spiraled around his forarm its iron links tightly wrapping around stopping him in his tracks.
With a smirk on his lips he grabbed the chain with his free hand and pulled with all his might bringing the surprised demon forward, his feet dragging against the stone floor.
It was tug of war match between the two and the king was winning.
When he was close enough he pulled the chain with such strength, the demon lifted from the ground, pulling him right into Kogas lifted knee. The demon gasped as his kings knee made contact with stomach, knocking air out if his lungs. The warrior fell to the ground, body curled into a ball as he gasped for air.

Again, another arrow swished by Koga, barely missing him.

"I just had about enough of you..." he growled.

He whipped the chain of the kusarigama in the air around as he sprinted off towards the archer, dodging yet another arrow that was let loose.
And when the bend of his knee, Koga jumped into the air just feet away from the archer. He brought the twirling chain down on the archer, its iron links wrapping around his body tightly as he fell to the ground trapped.

With ease, Koga landed next to the tide up archer.

Kagome eyes widened in concern.

Koga doesn't see him...

Kagome began to panic as the last demon warrior sprinted towards Koga from behind, a spear grasped within his clawed hands. Its sharp blade aiming straight at Kogas back.

"KOGA WATCH OUT! BEHIND YOU!" Kagome shouted at the top of her lungs for him to hear.

Surprised azure eyes snapped up to meet worried hazel ones.

"Kag-"

He didnt have time to finish her name. He heard the running of bare feet make their way towards him from behind.
Jilting his head to the side he watched as the blade of the spear strike past his shoulder, the gust of air from the thrust brushing against his bronzed skin.

With a growl he grabbed ahold of the pole structure, pulling it forward as the surprised demon lost control of the end of the weapon from his grasp.
With the pole in his hand he whipped around to the face the demon with such speed that the demon took a few steps back with fear in his eyes before Koga striked him in the jaw with the end of the spear, fresh blood escaping his mouth as he stumbled back in pain.

"Ugh Sister Kagome!" Tomoe groaned in aggravation as she placed her forehead against to the cool cave floor. "You gave away our hiding spot!"

Kagome mumbled a apology to her demon friend next to her.

She wasn't expecting to react the way she did earlier. She knew Koga wasn't in any real danger... but, still something erupted within her with worry watching him.

Her eyes glanced back down to the wolf king from below. His azure eyes glowed up at her with curious lifted eyebrows. His bronzed skin was slick with sweat speckled with blood from defeating his warrior comrades.

Kagome felt a blush appear onto her cheeks.

Was he always this strong...
