Over in the outskirts of the kingdom of Arendelle, the citizens all gathered atop a cliff a fair distance from the now uninhabitable and inaccessible kingdom. It had barely been five minutes since everyone was forced out by powerful magical spirits, but it felt much longer than that.
"Yes, everyone's out and safe. Here, take one of these." Said Kristoff as he handed a blanket roll to a civilian.
He and Sven then noticed Olaf.
"You okay there, Olaf?"
A bunch of kids were sticking pieces of the fallen ice crystals Elsa made onto his face. He either didn't notice, or didn't care.
"Oh yeah, we're calling this "controlling what you can when things feel out of control."
A good distance away from everyone else stood Anna and Elsa, both of whom were less than thrilled with the situation.
"Okay, I don't understand. You've been hearing a voice, and you didn't think to tell me?" Said Anna, who felt a little offended that Elsa was still a little secretive.
"I didn't wanna worry you."
"We made a promise not to shut each other out! Just tell me what's going on!"
"I woke the magical spirits of the Enchanted Forest." Elsa said with an awkward half-smile. Anna could not hide her immediate visible surprise to the revelation.
"Okay, that's definitely not what I thought you were gonna say. Wait, the Enchanted Forest? The one father warned us about?"
"Yes."
"Why would you do that?"
"Because of the voice. I know it sounds crazy, but I believe whoever is calling me good."
"How can you say that? Look at our kingdom!"
"I know, it's just my magic can feel it."
"Okay."
Suddenly, a swirling blue and white portal opened up not too far away from them. They turned and saw it.
"Oh no, what now?" Said Anna.
Arcee was the first one out of the portal, transforming the moment she was on Arendellian soil. Bumblebee was not far behind, and neither was Smokescreen. Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead and Wheeljack all came out at what was only a few tenths of a second away from all at the same time. Ratchet came out a second after them, and then Optimus Prime came out. The ground bridge closed behind them as the eight Autobots stood at max height in robot mode and observed their surroundings. Wheeljack noticed Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven amongst the crowd.
"Had a feeling the gang might show." He said.
Ratchet stepped out from behind Ultra Magnus who, at five inches taller than him, obscured much of his view. He noticed the dozens of civilians in addition to Anna and Elsa.
"I thought there were two."
"Haven't you heard? Humans multiply." Said Arcee.
Kristoff noticed them out of the corner of his eye.
"What are these?" He asked.
Optimus Prime stepped forward.
"We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. Also known as Autobots."
"Who's this?" Asked Elsa.
Smokescreen stepped forward. Though he knew the humans had no idea of their existence until now, he was still offended that they had no idea who Optimus Prime was.
"He's Optimus Prime!"
Olaf noticed them from a distance as the kids continued sticking fragments of the crystals into him.
"And you are...?" He asked, not quite sure if they heard him.
The Autobots picked up his question via their audio receptors. Bulkhead noticed that Olaf really was a sentient snowman and took a small step back.
"Bulkhead."
"Smokescreen, sir!"
"Call me Arcee."
"My name is Ultra Magnus."
"This is Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Wheeljack." Said Optimus Prime as he hand-gestured to each of them.
Bumblebee beeped, which the other Autobots knew translated to: "Nice to meet you."
"Why are you here?" Asked Anna.
"A fair question, Anna." Said Optimus.
"We picked up a strange energy surge. Hope you don't mind the company." Said Wheeljack.
"Well..." Started Anna.
"I think you detected the spirits of the Enchanted Forest." Said Elsa.
"If you are referring to the massive energy burst originating from your kingdom, that would be affirmative." Said Ultra Magnus.
"The first major supernatural activity in three years." Said Ratchet as he observed Arendelle from the distance they were at on the cliff.
"That we know of." Added Optimus.
Suddenly, the ground started rumbling.
"Now what?" Asked Anna.
Many rocks started rolling down a dirt road toward the cliff everyone was on. Kristoff recognized them.
"The trolls?"
They unfolded into rock trolls, and a few of them took him down with a surprise hug.
"Kristoff! We missed you!"
The biggest rock of them all unfolded atop a stone. Anna, Elsa and the eight Autobots approached what turned out to be Grand Pabbie.
"Pabbie!" Said Elsa.
"Well, never a dull moment with you two. I hope you're prepared for what you have done, Elsa. Angry magical spirits are not for the faint of heart."
"Why are they still angry? What does all of this have to do with Arendelle?" Asked Anna.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. We've known about these spirits for ages and never gave them a second thought." Said Bulkhead as he realized that they really were the supernatural forces attacking Arendelle.
"Why all the ominous rumblings now?" Asked Arcee.
"Wait, how do you know about them?" Asked Anna.
"You didn't think we've just been sittin' on our cans since we've been on this rock?" Asked Wheeljack.
Bumblebee beeped. ("Grand Pabbie taught us a lot about Arendelle. Now what exactly is going on?")
"Let me see what I can see." Said Grand Pabbie as he held his hands in the air. He used his aurora borealis powers to project visions in the air. Anna, Elsa and the Autobots carefully observed them as they formed. The first one showed a dam.
"Are we staring at genius, or gibberish?" Asked Arcee.
"The past is not what it seems."
Bulkhead, who never cared about history that much, scoffed.
"Like it matters."
A moment later, Ratchet slapped him in the face.
"The past always matters!" Yelled Ratchet.
The visions changed to Arendelle and the Northuldra making peace before suddenly clashing.
"A wrong demands to be righted. Arendelle is not safe. The truth must be found. Without it..."
The visions changed to a disintegrating Arendelle castle before abruptly vanishing completely.
"I see no future."
"No future?" Asked Anna.
Bumblebee beeped. ("Does that mean Arendelle's doomed?")
"No, Bumblebee, it does not." Said Optimus Prime.
"When one can see no future, all one can do is the next right thing." Said Grand Pabbie.
"The next right thing, is for me to go to the Enchanted Forest and find that voice. Kristoff, can I borrow your wagon? And Sven?" Asked Elsa.
Sven reacted with audible and visible surprise.
"I'm not very comfortable with the idea of that." Said Kristoff.
"You are not going alone." Said Anna.
"Anna, no. I have my powers to protect me. You don't." Said Elsa.
"Look, she may be small, but she saved Arendelle's tailpipe all on her own. Isn't that right, Anna?" Said Wheeljack.
"I climbed the North Mountain, survived a frozen heart, and saved you from my ex-boyfriend, and I did it all without powers. So, you know, I'm coming." Said Anna.
"Me too. I'll drive." Added Kristoff.
"I'll bring the snacks!" Olaf shouted from a distance.
"The Autobots will look after you." Said Grand Pabbie.
"So that's why you're here." Said Anna.
"Correct." Said Ratchet.
"We are few, but strong." Said Optimus Prime.
"And we would be honored to put ourselves to some practical use." Said Ultra Magnus.
"I will look after your people." Said Grand Pabbie.
"Please make sure they stay out of the kingdom until we return." Said Anna.
"Of course."
"Let's let them know." Said Elsa.
Elsa, Kristoff and the Autobots turned around to tell the civilians the plan. Right as Anna was about to follow them, she heard Grand Pabbie call her name.
"Anna."
She turned around to face the wise, elder troll.
"I'm worried for her. We have always feared Elsa's powers were too much for this world. Now, we must pray they are enough."
Anna didn't like the sound of that, and she very briefly doubted the Autobots could protect them. While caught up in that moment, she said:
"I won't let anything happen to her."
She prayed that she could keep that promise.
