Elsa, Optimus and Ratchet had reached the very center of Ahtohallan. Elsa's travel outfit changed into a white, sparkly new dress as it was revealed that she was the 5th spirit. Optimus also found the Star Saber, a legendary Cybertronian weapon, in the center of the ground and pulled it out. As smoke cleared away, Optimus put the Star Saber on his back to save for later use. The three found themselves surrounded by many moving memories of ice.

"Hi, I'm Olaf! And I like warm hugs!"

"I love you, Olaf!"

Elsa smiled as various memories of her and Anna passed by. She saw one of her singing "Let It Go" and cringed a little before awkwardly smiling at it. The Duke of Weselton passed by.

"I wasn't looking where I was going, but I'm great. Actually."

"Prince Hans of the Southern Isles."

Elsa casually made the memory of Hans shatter with a flick of her wrist. Ratchet couldn't help but laugh. A memory of Agnarr and Iduna caught their attention.

"I love you."

"I need to tell you about my past. And where I'm from."

"I'm listening."

Another memory, this time of when they were younger, caught their attention.

"Iduna!"

"What are you reading, your majesty?"

"Some new Danish author."

They stumbled upon another memory of when they were younger. Iduna, with help from Gale, put an unconscious Agnarr in the back of a wagon and hid herself under a sheet.

"King Runeard, I'm sorry. I don't understand."

Elsa turned and saw a new memory of a guard and her grandfather approaching her, Optimus and Ratchet.

"Grandfather?"

"We bring Arendelle's full guard."

"But they have given us no reason not to trust them."

"The Northuldra follow magic, which means we can never trust them."

"Grandfather?" Elsa said, shocked at what she was hearing.

"Magic makes people feel too powerful. Too entitled. It makes them think, they can defy the will of a king."

"Ha! Absurd!" Proclaimed Ratchet.

"That is not what magic does. That's just your fear. Fear is what can't be trusted." Said Elsa as the memory continued moving, disappearing through a wall that hid a secret area. Elsa looked like she was gonna follow, but Ratchet stepped in front of her.

"Yip, yip, yip! You know prolonged exposure to sub zero conditions can cause permanent system damage."

Ratchet knew Elsa was more resistant to the cold than the average human, but something told him she wasn't entirely immune.

"Ratchet, the answers about the past are all there." Said Elsa.

"The stakes are too great for us not to proceed. However, we will take precautions." Said Optimus.

A few moments passed. Ratchet held a small Cybertronian device in his left hand as they reviewed a plan they came up with.

"... only until your sensors sound. Remember, once your core temperature drops into the blue zone, system failures aren't likely, they're imminent."

"Rest assured, Ratchet, I will proceed with vigilance." Said Optimus.

"What about you?" Ratchet asked Elsa.

"Extreme temperatures cannot affect her biology. She'll be fine."

Elsa sighed. "This is what I was born to do."

"I hope you're right." Said Ratchet.

An exact copy of the memory of King Runeard and the guard passed them, once again disappearing through the wall. With a wave of her hand, Elsa opened the wall, revealing a dark tunnel. She started after the memory, with Optimus and Ratchet not far behind.

"You see the dam, will weaken their lands, so they will have to turn to me."

As the tunnel got darker the further down they went, Iduna's voice echoed, repeating words from All Is Found as they proceeded.

"... and a path for you. Dive down deep into her sound..."

The tunnel emptied into a narrow walkway. Elsa nearly tripped and fell at the edge of it, and Optimus and Ratchet both stopped in their tracks.

"... but not too far, or you'll be drowned."

In front of them was a massive, dark pit, the Well of Ahtohallan, the deepest part of the glacier. Elsa started breathing mist, but neither Optimus nor Ratchet saw it.

"They will come in celebration. And then, we will know their size and strength." King Runeard's voice echoed through the well as a new memory formed down below of the Northuldra and Arendellian soldiers marching toward the completed dam. Elsa, Optimus and Ratchet observed it from the last safe area.

"As you have welcomed us, we welcome you. Our neighbors, our friends." King Runeard's voice echoed.

The well then stopped showing memories. If they wanted to see more, they'd have to enter. Despite feeling cold for the first time in her life, Elsa knew they didn't have all the answers they needed yet. After some final moments of hesitation, she jumped off the path. Optimus and Ratchet glanced at each other before they followed suit. After several seconds of free falling, they all landed on their feet down below. A memory set in a peaceful, beautiful forest made of purple and blue ice surrounded them. A sensor beeped three times. Ratchet, knowing that it wasn't his own, grabbed his device and aimed it at Optimus.

"Ah! Optimus?"

The sensor went off again, beeping three times. Optimus looked at his shoulders. His Autobot symbols weren't flashing. It wasn't a warning for his core temperatures either.

"I do not understand." Said Optimus.

Optimus and Ratchet turned to face Elsa. She started shivering and breathing mist in front of them. She looked at her hands and the sensor in Ratchet's device went off again as pure white, icy snowflakes started forming over them. She turned to the two Autobots as she realized she was going too far.

"By the Allspark!" Exclaimed Ratchet.

"Ratchet, what is happening?!" Demanded Optimus.

Before Ratchet could come up with an explanation, a new memory formed and caught their attention. They turned their attention toward it as the pure white, icy snowflakes started spreading across Elsa's body.

"King Runeard, the dam isn't strengthening our waters. It's hurting the forest! It's cutting off the North-!"

"Let, let's not discuss this here. Let's, meet on the fjord. Have tea. Find a solution."

As that memory stopped, Elsa's hair changed from platinum blonde to pure white and the snowflakes spread to her face. She faced Optimus and Ratchet again as she got colder and colder. The device's sensor went off again.

"We need to get out of here! Now!" Ordered Ratchet.

Before they could, a final new memory formed in front of them. The Northuldra leader kneeled, with just a cup in his hands. King Runeard approached him from behind. Elsa, Optimus and Ratchet looked to their right as King Runeard unsheathed a sword and made a run toward the leader. Elsa's eyes widened in horror.

"By the Allspark, Runeard. What have you done?!" Optimus said in shock as he raised it over the leader and dealt the killing blow.

"No!" Elsa yelled.

She tried to move forward out of disbelief, but she didn't. Her legs were frozen to the floor by dark blue ice that was rapidly rising to the rest of her body. She had gone too far. Optimus and Ratchet were forced to watch in horror. Elsa's right arm froze in place. She looked up, only barely able to do so as her lower torso froze.

"Anna!" she called out desperately.

Gathering all her remaining strength, Elsa sent out a single stream of magic through her left hand. It went up, slicing through the air. Barely a moment later, she was completely encased in ice, as still and lifeless as a statue. Ratchet opened his scanner. The signal associated with Elsa turned red and flatlined moments before disappearing.

"No! It can't be..." He said.

A downer silence fell between the two Autobots.

"Wait, the only way to be sure if she's fine or not is to endure standard defrosting procedure!"

Ratchet deployed a blowtorch over his right arm and started using it on Elsa. She remained frozen solid, not even the slightest crack appearing in the ice. After several seconds with no success, Ratchet retracted his blowtorch. He then took out a pair of Cybertronian defibrillators and pressed them against her gut as he turned them on.

"Elsa! Respond!"

Optimus watched from a distance as his friend tried desperately to bring Elsa back. White light from the defibrillators illuminated the otherwise dark well. After no response or progress against the ice even after the longest defibrillation yet, Ratchet put them away and looked at his other tools.

"Elsa isn't responding! We must run diagnostics of her assemblage! Uh, vital statistics! Ah, my tools! They're all wrong!" He said as he threw two to the side in frustration.

"Pull yourself together, old friend." Said Optimus as he approached him.

"Calm is the last thing we need!"

"We must not allow anger to impair our judgment."

Ratchet sighed. "Optimus, I'm fine."

He started back toward Elsa with a welder in hand, but Optimus stopped him.

"Attempting to thaw her would expend too much energy."

"Then tell me what we can do!"

"I'm afraid there is nothing more we can do for Elsa at this time."

Ratchet took another look at Elsa's lifeless, frozen ice statue state. He re-opened his scanner. Only Optimus's life signal appeared.

"For the first time in my life, Optimus, I had hoped that you were wrong."

Ratchet walked in another direction, away from Elsa and Optimus.

"Ratchet-"

"Please!"

Ratchet transformed into vehicle mode, facing away from both of them, but not driving anywhere.

"Just let me, rust in peace."

"As you wish, old friend."

Optimus walked away, giving Ratchet space and time to grieve over the fact that for going too far, Elsa was doomed to be frozen. Stuck in a near-unreachable place. Forever.
