Back in the cave system, Anna, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Olaf, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack reached a fork in the road with two possible paths. The six Autobots deployed a small, set-up Cybertronian station of their own, identical to the one Optimus and Ratchet left by the shore of the Dark Sea.

"So, any word from Optimus?" Asked Ultra Magnus.

Bumblebee beeped. ("Still nothing, sir.")

"No comm link chatter." Said Arcee.

The single screen on the station displayed eight life signals, all of which were associated with everyone in the cave. It showed no others.

"And no ground activity. It's a little too quiet out there." Said Wheeljack.

"Well whatever they're after, Elsa, Optimus and Ratch won't give up. Right?" Bulkhead said with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Hmm. Which lucky tunnel do we choose?" Asked Olaf.

A bright blue light entered the area from the path to their left, Elsa's final stream of magic, and formed another ice statue memory. Echoes of the memory filled the cave system.

"You see the dam, will weaken their lands, so they will have to turn to me."

"King Runeard, the dam is hurting the forest!"

The statue showed King Runeard, with an aggressive expression, raising his sword over the unsuspecting Northuldra leader.

"What is that?" Asked Smokescreen.

"Elsa's found it. The truth about the past." Answered Anna.

"Their operation seems further along than we anticipated." Said Ultra Magnus.

"That's my grandfather, attacking the Northuldra leader, who wields no weapon." Said Anna as she closely observed the ice statue memory. A grim realization hit her.

"The dam wasn't a gift of peace."

"I say it's a load of hooey." Said Bulkhead.

"It was a trick."

Bumblebee beeped. ("Why would King Runeard do that?")

"Greed, what else?" Answered Bulkhead.

"But that goes against everything Arendelle stands for." Said Olaf.

"It does, doesn't it?" Said Anna.

She then sat down as another, even grimmer realization hit her.

"I know how to free the forest. I know what we have to do to set things right."

"Why do you say that so sadly?" Asked Olaf.

"We have to break the dam." Answered Anna.

"But that would mean..." Started Smokescreen.

"Arendelle will be flooded." Finished Olaf.

"That's why everyone was forced out, to protect them from what needs to be done."

"Oh." Olaf rested his head against Anna's leg. "Are you okay?"

"I could really use a bright side, Olaf."

"Bright side? Um, turtles can breathe through their butts?"

"Huh?"

"And I see a way out."

Anna looked up. Further up the left path was an opening that was letting some faint light into the cave. A way out.

"I knew I could count on you."

"Nice work, kid." Said Wheeljack.

Anna got up and approached the exit. The six Autobots followed suit. Olaf rubbed his head, a sudden strange feeling coming to him.

"Ratchet, requesting rendezvous coordinates, do you copy?"

Instead of a response, all Arcee got was radio static. The others didn't hear it as they approached the exit.

"I'm gonna need you to climb." Said Bulkhead.

"Come on. Elsa's probably on her way back right now. We can meet them, and-" Anna stopped in her tracks as she saw small snowflakes starting to float through the air. "Olaf?"

Olaf noticed the snowflakes coming off of him.

"What's this?"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm flurrying? Wait, no, that's not it." Olaf's happy curiosity quickly faded into serious realization. "I'm flurrying away. The magic in me is... fading."

"What?"

"I don't think Elsa's okay." Anna gasped. "I think she may have gone too far."

"No, no." Anna said, trying to deny the idea despite the overwhelming evidence towards it.

"Guys, I'm sorry. You're gonna have to do this next part without me, okay?"

"Wait, come here." Anna put Olaf in her lap as more and more snowflakes floated off of him. "I've got you."

"And here I was just beginning to tolerate you." Said Wheeljack.

"It's been an honor serving beside you, Soldier." Said Ultra Magnus.

"Aw, that's good." Olaf said, glad that the Autobots were trying to keep his spirits high. "Hey, Anna, I just thought of one thing that's permanent."

"What's that?"

"Love."

"Warm hugs."

Anna pulled Olaf closer as he started disintegrating faster than ever. Anna started crying.

"I like warm hugs." Said Olaf.

"I love you." Anna said while fighting tears.

Olaf faded from white to gray as his smile dropped and his eyes closed one last time.

Bumblebee beeped sadly. ("Goodbye, Olaf.")

His many snowflakes floated out of the cave, glowing brightly in the dark night. Gale came to collect them as Bruni sadly looked on. Gale brought Olaf's snowy remains behind a waterfall and marked them with a few purple flowers.

Anna rested with her back against a rock wall as the losses of Olaf and Elsa started deepening the impact they made on her. Wheeljack and Smokescreen approached, both having noticing her deteriorating emotional state and wanting to do something about it.

"Maybe you ought to power down for a while." Wheeljack suggested.

Anna looked like she was about to speak.

"No, don't move or talk, just power down. Get your strength back. I got you covered." Said Smokescreen.

Anna brought her legs to her chest and turned away from the two Autobots. Seeing that there was nothing more they could do, Wheeljack and Smokescreen walked away, hoping for the best.
